While that is an impressive news and would probably give Litecoin some sort of additional exposure, We've got ask will it really be of much importance to Litecoin adoption, I mean will UFC superstars be paid in Litecoin, will Litecoin be accepted for match tickets, souvenirs and other items related to UFC ? If no, then really what's the point of the so much hype about being an official partner of no mutual benefit.

I honestly think 2019 would be another great year after a not so good year 2018, there have been some positive changes for over a week now and we should look out for more positivity in the coming months. I think new set of investors and adopters will come into crypto, there are also a lot of events scheduled for next year that could be of huge relevance to the crypto market.

Snip... IMO it all comes down to bounty managers and their way of preferred collecting report, although a lot of them actually states the work of previous weeks shouldn't be quoted but, some participants are just so dumb or ignorant to the rules. I think the best solution to these sort of spam as well as unnecessary bumping of the bounty thread is to restrict or allow each participant with just one post on the bounty thread, they should write their authentication posts and edit it weekly to add task reports.

I'm so very sure there will be no new king whatsoever in cryptocurrency other than bitcoin, for the foreseeable future as there is no other coin with more adoption and so far all these altcoins are yet offer something better than Bitcoin, all their emphasis has been based on slow and high cost of transactions in bitcoins but the fact is that these coins haven't been used enough for them to have these problem.

My question is why would a newbie need to launch an ICO in this first instance ? That'd just bring about more mediocrity and another huge level of scam ICOs than we are currently witnessing in the crypto space.

so far the price of bitcoin has not dropped below $ 3k and I hope that will never happen, now the price of bitcoin is starting to recover and and is preparing to break $ 5k.
That has been some sort of relief for me personally, and Hopefully it could still reach $5,000 maybe in the first week of 2019. We can only hope, but I'm glad about it being stable over the past few days after those daily drastic decline we witnessed at the start of the month.

this is truly the right time to invest more on crypto as the price is low.
Oh, really ? The market prices are low according to who ? You ? I've seen people say this exact same thing when Bitcoin was around $6000 - $8000, but look at where we are today, wouldn't they have preferred to invest now rather than then ? I'm not against anyone investing in crypto now but, I just think people should stop giving an indication that the price is low simply because it lower than the all time high, no one can tell the range or limitations of the prices which is why it is better for individuals to decide on their own what they'd regard as a low or high price after doing their own research.

Because of this, many newbies will be inspired and motivated because of your understanding and goodwill. I hope I belong to those who are granted.
Hopefully, I'm not a pro at detecting plagiarism and considering the first reply you got on the thread quoted below, but If the OP or Someone better at that could help verify that your below post isn't plagiarized, then you'll have your first merit but, if it is, Oh well I might not even be the one to report it. snip Edit: I think it was actually a translation for this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5070657.msg47972914#msg47972914

I just can't help but laugh, you suppose Ripple can stand the test of time ? If Ripple should pass through a quarter of the negativity and criticism Bitcoin has been through, Ripple literally will cease to exist in less than a few years, maybe I should remind you how old bitcoin is and what is has been through. And, really you'all aren't doing ripple any favor with the over hyping and baseless speculations. In this case there is only one coin I see that could fall beyond redemption and it's definitely not Bitcoin!

a.) How often the user has plagiarized (and the last copied and pasted post)
There is no feasible way to detect that. Oh, I said that because a large %age of the highly ranked member that gets banned were for post made as further back as 3-4 years, Highly subjective and would just devolve into massive flame wars.
Yes, but that'd be up to the delegates to decide. I'm sure that regardless of how irrational a reputable member's opinion could be, they'all are against serial-plagiarist/spammers and it shouldn't be too hard to detect when one is found, considering how the plagiarists thread get busted with their copied post almost instantly after they create a thread to the know why they got banned.

Here are my thoughts, 1. When and How often the plagiarism was committed should have a huge impact in it's consequence; I have seen not just (absurdly) highly ranked member but established and reputable get banned for a post they copied as way back as they could not even remember. ChiBitCTy is perfect example, A lot, if not most users that are on the forum were driven by the motive to earn, and ignorant to forum rules initially, but some along the line discover that there's more to the forum than just earning, Do you think they don't they don't deserve a second chance ? I think they do, Some are willing to let go of their sig space since that's the reason they had plagiarized at first, just so they could be accepted back on the forum what more could we want, it should come at a cost but not their account or the reputation they've managed to build along the line after a considerable bad start. A user that's only motivated to earn, will always find it easier to buy another account(s) no matter how many times they get banned, but an established/reputable member gets to lose everything they have built. A reputable member shouldn't have plagiarized in the first instance ? Of course! That's why I stated that when the offense was committed should be taken into consideration. Because logically, the forum has more too lose in ChiBitCTy being banned (for a single and very old post), than several other legendary accounts being banned for consistent plagiarism. 2. On what could be a solution, is just like that the trust system. It should be debatable there should a be forum delegate of up to 5 - 10 on necessary cases only (It doesn't have to be a forum mods, as I guess there hands are filled) that'd would decide if it should be a permaban, ban or sigban (with duration or not) subjected to their understanding of the plagiarists reputation putting into consideration a.) How often the user has plagiarized (and the last copied and pasted post) b.) The reputation of the user and/or time spent on the forum c.) Values that user adds to forum (Why or why not they should be allowed) PS: I'm not appealing on behalf of ChiBitCTy, neither is my post about him, I have never had an encounter and I think he was probably banned before I was a user of the forum. It's rather just an example who could have deserved a second chance, not just in my opinion but, according to a lot of reputable members who would do anything to rid spammers off the forum.

He wrote posts all week. He expressed his thoughts. Now it is reported that all my written posts for the week have been deleted by the moderator. Tell me what is it? Where to go?
For the fact the you've not been banned yet, Then I'm sure there are 2 reasons that could best explain why your posts were being deleted. 1. Offtopic; Your posts were off topic and in correlation with the thread. 2. Zero value post: Yours post were of zero value and has not contributed in anyway whatsoever either as a fact or an idea/opinion. Hence, your posts were deleted as per forum rules; Off-topic replies have become a big problem. From now on, I will be deleting such replies without notice, forum-wide. If your replies disappear, this is probably why.
All replies must respond to the topic's original post in some way, even if they are replying to an on-topic reply. If your reply has nothing to do with the topic post, either add some content that is relevant or create a new topic.
Please report off-topic posts as soon as you see them.
But if perhaps you think they were deleted wrongly you can provide better informations about the deleted posts, then have the Mods look into it...

I would consider it a total waste of time these days, Bounties in which you'll get sometimes x100 the value of the tokens you'll get from an airdrop are barely worth pennies, what more would you expect from an airdrop, but since it takes less than ~ 3-5 minutes, you could do them since you've got nothing to lose other than the few minutes required to complete the tasks, unlike bounties where you have to spend a lot of weeks or several months just to get next to nothing at time.

I don't believe the bull run has started, although no one can possibly tell when the bull run starts. Let me hear what you think is the reason for this sudden market recovery. Thanks
Neither do I think the bull run has started, I saw a post yesterday or 2 days (not sure) about some buying over 2000 btc, I think it is still all about manipulation and attract new naive investors who would panic out at the slightest decline again. But just as you've stated no one could know for sure.

You could have kept your intentions at heart and just work towards it without creating a thread as to that regards obviously there are some good post that requires merit but creating a thread just to show you want to merit individuals can be seen in a negative way as well
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion or judgment of situations and most definitely, OP doesn't have answer to anyone about this regardless of their opinion on the thread. There are lot newbie posts that are merit-worthy but in most cases are not seen by those who could have given it merit or sometimes seen by higher ranked members who probably have a very high standard of what a merit-worthy post is. However, it is only a of matter time, any user with quality posts will eventually get merits without having to try too hard. Still, In my opinion this is a welcomed idea and I think If so many higher ranked could have a thread like this and somewhat limit it to a specific no of required activities/account age in order to prevent farmers, then newbies wouldn't have to worry much about getting their first merit.

That's a great option for those who have no trading skills or experience, I have seen quite a number people talk about how they make 1-5% regularly in this bearish market, and Considering that indeed there have always been at least a 1% increase or decrease in the price of coins daily, that's mean one could have made a lot within the short period that'd have been expected to be made over a long period, provided that have the right trading knowledge and strategy.

I don't think he's a spambot. I think he just struggles with English, has dozens of accounts and is rushing to squeeze out posts as fast as he can, hence all the mistakes.
That's exactly what it looks like, and I don't think it's a bot either. I also agree that these are only several roaches that got smoked out and behind them is probably a whole fucking colony of them doing a better job of hiding their existence. I don't think that's actually the case here, Going through the posts below (just to quote a few), I could only think of one possible situation; 1. Copy and Paste; switching alphabets in order to make it hard to find. (Mostly likely) "Sometimes" was spelled correctly, in the first post, but wrongly in the second post i buy new coins as i think taht they can sometimes bring us more amd more than old omes and old ones can bring us down
new coims are amazing they are not so expensive as their fellow old thing and soemtimes they will bring you more income "That" was spelled rightly and wrongly in the same post. thee are so amny scammers that i am afraid taht if the situation yet worse we will oy be able to trust eben good compa ies Struggling with English won't have you use "9" instead of O, You was spelled correctly once, and misspelled twice in the same sentence. 9f cpurse you have not as it is not the choice of yours it is how the fate made ypu do and ypu can find good things even now
Spelled "Catastrophic" (which is the right the adjective to use) with ease , I would have expected "catastrophy" if he/she was indeed struggling with english, and had an issue spelling "world" in my opinion ee will not see some catastrophic event as everyting can be restores in the cryptocurrency workd if we really need it

My preference would have been the decentralized exchanges due to their lack or restrictions, no need to sign up, no need to wait for several months in order to trade your tokens and a lot of centralized exchanges are mostly filled with bot trading with fake volumes and numerous manipulations, but on the cons side the decentralized exchanges have close to zero volume and provides no liquidity for tokens. @OP, this thread is in the wrong section, I think it should belong to trading discussion https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=8.0

I guess this is a well known fact for everyone including newbies, everybody are rather just so impatient and expecting the bullrun to happen at the earliest possible time, I wouldn't blame them though that's what being new into a system does to you, those who have been in it long enough already know it's only a matter of time. However, I don't think past histories are anything to go by when predicting what is to come in crypto.
