8081  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2018-2019 betting on: January 14, 2019, 07:42:07 PM
Pick on previous day : Denver Nuggets -4.5  - Loser, did not cover 113-116 Denver > Final score
Oh well, You've got to lose some to win some. We go again!

Monday - Jan 14 _ Rockets -6.5 vs Memphis +6.5

The Rockets will travel again at home to face the Memphis after a loss in Orlando, I like the spot that they are playing at home again and coming from a big loss, normally they will bounce back to the winning side.

Betting on the Houston Rockets -6.5

I'm going in with this one, Thanks. Their last match was a close affair until they blew it in the 4th quarter.

Adding..... I also like Boston in tomorrow's game, they are in a 2 losing streak, they will work harder in this game.

Bet : Celtics -4.5 against the Net

I'd like Sacramento Kings vs Portland Trail Blazers match-up more, Your thoughts on this please ?

You quoted wrongly...
Thanks for the help, I couldn't quote properly simply because the thread was locked already. Thanks, once again.

True, BTT have grown to be more than just a forum built for the discussion of bitcoin to a learning library for all blockchain enthusiast. The impression that BTT is just a place to come and make money is the reason many users are getting frustrated by the merit system. I wrote a topic ones in the serious discussions board titled "Should bitcointalk play a part in educating its members?." you can visit the topic and read replies it'll help you understand more why BTT is more than just a forum

Yes, I visit there and the Ivory Tower(could read only) a couple times to just to read stuffs, and I could tell mediocrity isn't allowed in those boards, but it is however underused these days.
8083  Other / Beginners & Help / The forum is more knowledgeable than you could Imagine on: January 14, 2019, 05:37:04 PM
PS: Before analyzing this post with severe criticism please consider that; it was never supposed to be a topic but rather meant as a response to this Thread's Title and I had already posted it as a reply on the thread before I completely understood what the OP meant. So, I decided to delete it since it was somewhat off-topic from the message of the topic, but I think perhaps, it could be worth reading for a newbie in this section.

According to the topic; " What impacted your learning experience the most?"
I'd say Bitcointalk.org (Impacted my learning experience the most) and not just for the fun of it, I have learnt a lot about crypto excluding core technicalities here on the forum and even more than that.

The first Impression I had when I heard about this forum was that everyone is here to make some money but, along the line I have got to understand that the forum is way more than just a platform to earn.
It made me understand the best way to earn even better if you so wish is knowledge, I read and learn from the posts of the most respected members on here and that made me had more hunger for knowledge in vast fields and areas, because each of these members are more than just what meets the eye from Loyce's data analysis and statistics at a mind blowing level, Jet Cash's versatility with several websites and I read posts of him talk about phyton like an expert, Vod's programming (BPIP), Piggy (forum notification), Iasenko, OgNasty and others I can't mention that I have read a couple their posts an had the urge to learn at all cost, They all talk about several issues and not just crypto related at a very advance level and I feel intimidated to make even a comment that'd I think could get considered reasonable by such level.

And I'd gladly admit that it led to me having a "New Year Goals".

Even though being more financially stable has been a necessary goal for the new year to me, I have also set goals to acquire knowledge at a wider range.

MY GOALS FOR 2019
  • Become an Expert in PHP and MySQL
  • Learn Python and Java Script
  • Have better understanding of the Blockchain technology
  • Learn to use CorelDraw , Adobe Photoshop , Adobe Illustrator, Adobe XD at an advanced level
  • I also want to become a more responsible person in every society I find myself

8084  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 14, 2019, 04:09:21 PM
Man City vs Wolves - Really hoping Wolves can some how get something tonight at The Etihad but truthfully, I just can’t see it & I think City will get the 3 points quite comfortably.

Would love Wolves to spring a surprise though, fingers crossed I guess.

I doubt that'd be case here, Man City looks terrific again, Guardiola has almost a full squad at his disposal with no injury issues except  for Benjamin whose back to training alone, and Kompany who could face a late fitness test. They really wouldn't want to take any chances, I guess. I tip Man City score at least 3 goals in this fixture.
8085  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: would u open a loan to buy the dip? on: January 13, 2019, 09:39:49 AM
I will never do that! That would be a very absurd strategy, I'd rather buy the dip with the little I can afford or gladly miss out If I don't have the financial capability to do so. I'll never make such make a drastic decision which could have me in compromising situation because no can one tell how deep a dip can get or how soon the price will recover.
8086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 13, 2019, 08:49:23 AM
Cesc Fabregas has finally signed with Monaco. I'm curious to see if he will be in shape since he hasn't played much this season.
But he could be a great addition and a good leader for this team.

He'd be a great addition to the Monaco squad, No doubt! he's had a lot of experience across Europe which also will be of huge benefit to the team, I'm not sure he'd be that out of shape not to be able to compete at the french league's level.
Just in Monaco has also announced another midfield signing in person of William Vainqueur on loan until the end of the season from Antalyaspor. Let's see if Monaco could eventually avoid being relegated to the ligue 2.
8087  Economy / Reputation / Re: I was blackmailed on: January 13, 2019, 02:44:00 AM
@TryNinja. Agreed. However he might also want a hero slot in sportsbet.io campaign. I am not certain, however I reckon it was full at the time when I was blackmailed.

What I find stunning was that whoever it was  also paid the copper membership fee  Embarrassed What a loss, however he/she might try to get in sig campaign as some campaign would accept the account as Member Ranked, Since it's been proven as blackmail is there any chance of it being tagged ?
8088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: do we still have hope to be able to see bull run?? on: January 12, 2019, 05:28:01 PM
now the market falls again, do we still have hope to be able to see bull run. no one knows when the market can recover. even with the many good news about the ethereum hardfork unable to make the market jump. so I thought bull run would only be a dream for all of us.

Why not ? the year has only just started. You're mistaking if you think the hardfork will bring about a bull run to the entire market, The bull run will only occur in due time, for now all we can do is hold, accumulate more if we can and then wait!
8089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple will be great again on: January 12, 2019, 02:03:32 PM
Ripple is not the cryptocurrency even - it is the centralized currency. I would better exchange it for TRON or EOS which have the best potential.
Those who rally round ripple have either or all of these 3 problems from my perspective, They're shortsighted and do not think about the future not even 5 years ahead, They are completely illogical, or They do not know exactly the features or characteristics that a genuine cryptocurrency should have.
8090  Other / Meta / Re: | Irrefutable Evidence that Lauda is running the forum with alts and "bitches" | on: January 12, 2019, 01:49:38 PM
I have provided evidence for every point I have made.

These people are not against me - why would they be. They are against criteria being brought to Red trust and merit allocation that will remove all of their power.  I am calling for such criteria to be introduced to make things fairer for all and prevent free speech being influenced.

That is it .... that is all there is to understand.

I would refer to those as claims, not evidence actually.
I haven't been on this forum for far too long, but I'm quite familiar with how things work here when there's 'valid" evidence to support certain claims, I've seen several reputable member get tagged when they do wrong regardless of their reputation.
If you're got any proofs of Suchmoon sending merits to his alts or Selling them, post them here let's see if he'd get tagged or be left off the hook simply because he's considered to be part of a gang or Show a proof of Lauda plagiarizing then we'll get to know If indeed she controls Theymos and Other Mods(just as his/her trust ratings currently states).
8091  Other / Meta / Re: | Irrefutable Evidence that Lauda is running the forum with alts and "bitches" | on: January 12, 2019, 01:18:50 PM
You forgot the evidence

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5096017.0

Some unknown wanna be Hhampuz kicked out LoyceV and nobody noticed?

You really should call it quits already, at some point you were really making valid claims(or opinions) concerning extreme measure with banned accounts and some shit, but trust me you're losing it if you've not lost it already. Do you really think all this people are just against you ? What for ? What do they stand to gain from being against you ? Nothing! I'd say! As it stands from my perspective they don't consider you an enemy, you only consider yourself to be one and literally, the only "existing" battle here is the one you're fighting against yourself (in your head). Maybe you really should just take some time off, and let things cool off.

8092  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Are Selling off Their Crypto on: January 12, 2019, 08:40:09 AM
Everyone knows that this is a bad time to sell. Yet there are people selling off out of dienchantment. What alternatives are there instead of selling your crypto on the low? https://cryptoinfowatch.com/sell-your-bitcoin-cash-lenders-coming-to-the-rescue-of-wearied-hodlers/

Not everyone who is selling now bought their cryptos at a high price in 2017, some of them have had their assets since 2016 or earlier, some of them could also be either loosing their trust in the market or just trying to stay away from it at least for now.
8093  Economy / Speculation / Re: $3k range the new $6k range? on: January 12, 2019, 04:49:27 AM
Bitcoin is moving between support  3500$ and resistance 4200$ and no one knows where we are heading in the short term. IF bitcoin did not hold the support, bitcoin can test 3100$ again and it will not be good for the crypto world. I think bulls need to play their part and do not let market fall below.

Bitcoin has been around the 3000$ for somewhat far to long, Just like it was hanging around the ~ 6000$ between 3 and 4 quarter of 2018, It barely touched 4,000 few days but now back to ~3,700$. but in my opinion where it is headed from here could be depend on the next big major events that happens around bitcoin, If is a positive one then, things should change for good.
8094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2018-2019 betting on: January 11, 2019, 10:49:59 AM

Pick  SPURS +1

Game went into double OT, but what's important is we won the game, Final score 147 -154, and this bet is a winner.

Thank you!  Grin
That was so close! And for a while I thought Spurs had bottled it already when OKC finally took a 3-point lead during the overtime.

Fri Jan 11  Lakers +9 vs Jazz -9

Pick Jazz -9

Like to hear your thoughts on this game.
record updated, check HERE

Lebron still sitting this one out is truly good for Jazz but, In my opinion Lakers back to back wins most especially against Dallas Mavericks was incredible, I foresee a close fixture here and If indeed I eventually place a bet on this it'd be on a win for Jazz or +9 for Lakers.
I'll edit later with my decision. Utah Jazz to win.
8095  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: should i continue trading ? on: January 11, 2019, 10:23:57 AM
I think people who don't have experience it is very good to stay away from the market due to fluctuation we are facing will make you lose patience and start selling them for loos. So it is good to stay away from the market if you don't have any experience towards trading.

On the contrary, I think this the best situation of the market in which one can get better experience about how extreme the market fluctuations and manipulations could be, trading in this sort of market situation is riskier but I also it will provide better exposure and knowledge to traders, with experience in this kind of situations, traders will be able to thrive in any market condition.
8096  Other / Meta / Re: Trolling let's define it here and also vote on if it should be given RED TRUST on: January 11, 2019, 05:12:21 AM
I voted "No", Just because someone is considered or proven to be troll doesn't make them likely to be scam anyone but, your voting options is bias and illogical, It obviously just portrayed your sentiments for creating the poll/thread. If a proven troll is tagged for being a troll without being regarded as scammer then its fine IMO, Just as an account trader with the most honest and successful deals would solely get tagged for trading accounts and not regarded as scammer.
8097  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading without losses? on: January 11, 2019, 02:10:21 AM
There's no such thing as trading without losses, Even experts with the best trading strategies will some times trade at losses in order to prevent further losses, because there are certain situations where losses are inevitable. The best thing in trading however, is to maximize profits and minimize losses.
8098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH and XRP - For top 2 position on: January 10, 2019, 10:50:55 PM
I hope in the long run ETH will gain a good margin on XRP, but nobody really knows what will happen in the next few years...
ETH has real use, and proposes a solution / minimal viable product that is bound to last for a very long time, unlike XRP which is bound to banking.
The battle for the second spot won't last for long IMO, the bear market is surely having its influence on the battle too I think. But once the bear market is all over, I can assure you that XRP will be nowhere to be found around the second spot, I'll just let them enjoy their temporary trend while it last.
8099  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 10, 2019, 06:51:01 PM
Some transfers and rumours:

- Bayern Munich joins Barcelona in interest for Rabiot (PSG).

- Pavard (Stuttgart) to Bayern Munich next summer done deal.

- Valencia keen on Javier Hernandez (West Ham).

- Manchester City interested in the young defender Declan Rice (West Ham).

- Atletico Madrid are looking to sign Morata (Chelsea) on loan.

The transfer window has been somewhat silent, Hopefully we would see a change in the coming days.

Just in:
- Ramsey to Juventus pretty seems a done deal.

- Cesc Fabregas on the verge of joining AS Monaco
8100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you plan to do with ETH and ETH Classic coins? on: January 10, 2019, 04:13:21 PM
It's not just an issue with MetaMask, I open the url in incognito mode with MetaMask disabled, The website hosting account has been suspended as well.
I think it's direct evidence of the scam. I hope very much that people did not pass on their private keys to the ETH wallet.

I never visited the website before but if Indeed it requested for wallets private keys, then It is nothing but a scam/phishing attempt to steal users coins. I'm glad it's been suspended already.
