8081  Other / Meta / Re: Where are the merit source? on: March 31, 2018, 09:04:26 AM
This post is not to brag about merit system.

Am I the only one here wondering where are the merit sources? Because honestly I can only see few of them.
Im aware that there are 80 merit source assigned by theymos, but I can only see some of them actively distributing their merits.

Im not telling here that I deserve to get some merits actually Im contented in this Jr. Member position there's no problem for me if I dont get some or will not rank up anymore in the future, but this is for all of the members here need to get some.
Making them public will only make their harassment by shitposters and sob story beggars imminent.  I get it that you dont want to rank up at all  Shocked
And thus making this thread (the reason of which was pointed out previously before as well)

Why not let the Merit sources be at peace and distribute merit as and when they desire?

Quote
Is it possible if those merit sources has list that can see by all of us, so that all of us can see if they are active?
I know that all the merit sources assigned are trusted by theymos. But maybe some of them can abuse their sMerit from their merit source allowance and distribute the merits to only those who they know or friends or maybe they have favoritism, we dont know.
Maybe you are correct. Maybe you are just butthurt that you are not getting the "exposure" from merit sources that you expected to get when you were posting in the forum. There will appear a type of bias and favouritism among merit sources and that is good for the forum. In that way only the true quality posters will get recognised and not random members. Gradually the system will mature and people will actually get to know each other better and thus enhance the contact between each other -  as a long term effect of Merit.

Quote
But if we have a public list of this merit sources they will have a doubt to abuse the merit because they are visible to the public and can be reported.
Wrong assumption because they are under scrutiny of forum administration. Any wrong step by them will be warned by themos. Dont comment on things that you dont have access or have half-knowledge about.

Quote
Please dont get offended if you are one of the merit source Im not telling here that all merit source are not active and not distributing their merits.  Smiley
PS: Im not here to make an argument.
Well I am not a merit source (obviously) and I am just stating some facts and my opinions.

8082  Other / Meta / Re: Is it really hard to rank up? on: March 31, 2018, 08:55:54 AM
There are many newbie's and jr. member's account asking for merits where in fact according to buddhism Merit (Sanskrit: puṇya, Pali: puñña) is a concept considered fundamental to Buddhist ethics. It is a beneficial and protective force which accumulates as a result of good deeds, acts, or thoughts. (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merit_(Buddhism).
I thought yesterday when somebody made a thread asking for a "Test" on signing up to qualify their educational skills on blockchain information to be the reason for a little bit of merit was the nail in the coffin. But this guy seems to be way ahead of that.

Bringing religion into the Merit system. That was the last thing necessary to post here. Tongue

Quote
It is clearly stated that giving merits is only after doing a good deeds, acts, or thoughts but are these words shrink on their minds to those individual who hold newbie and jr.member's account? They are just asking merit without doing good deeds or act?
That is subjective. Some merit sources may even consider simple posts to be merit-able even if they are not posting some "good deed or act". Again merits are supposed to be awarded to post that are having quality and not posts about "good deads".

Quote
That is why i do believe that working hard is the key to receive merit and not just by asking it, begging and crying for it over and over again. These higher ranks are doing their best especially those who rank in legendary. They are doing their best. Kudos to them.
Agreed asking for merits = begging for merits = tagworthy by DT.
But what exactly do you mean by comment on "Legendary"? Why kudos to them can you please explain? They have got the highest rank and wont bother to rank up at all. So why kudos to them?
8083  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] Vividtoken Signature Campaign - Hero/Legendary BTC/Token Payouts! on: March 31, 2018, 08:50:01 AM
Sorry about the delay in payments.. I've been asking to have the funds sent to me since yesterday and they were supposed to be sent way earlier than this. It's now half past 1 in the middle of the night for me and without getting a response from the dev I've decided to go to sleep and I've left him a final notice saying I need to have the funds by the time I wake up.

Again, I am sorry for this. This is not how I like to conduct my business and it sucks that it affects you guys who have done your part in this agreement.

Please stay tuned for tomorrow.

No worries dude, we know you are trustworthy and I am sure participants wont mind a bit of delay in payments. Petty issues like these should not be the reason for you to lose sleep.  Smiley
8084  Other / Meta / Re: The idea for admins to support newcomers with merit on: March 30, 2018, 08:45:13 AM
It seems like people are thinking of every other method of getting merits to jump-start their new accounts (read farming account rings, shhhhh).

Lets take a look at the different method of pseudo-merit begging which has happened in this forum in the last 2.5 months post-introduction of merit system:

1. Merit trading which was too obvious and got negged by DT. Some of which are still being debated.

2. Idiotic threads in the tech and meta section popping up since DannyHamilton prefers to merit those threads which are according to his policy Blah Blah Blah and the shitposters mob ran to these sections without even knowing the reason why these sections exist.

3. Ass-licking the merit system and merit sources.

4. Nail in the coffin - a test for newbies to get merits while getting into the forum.

Damn you guys forgot the reason why merit was created in the first place. Roll Eyes
8085  Other / Meta / Re: There are many smerit holdings but not readily given. Could we punish them? on: March 30, 2018, 08:33:33 AM
There are higher ranks hold smerits and does not care about givimg merits especially to newbies and jr.member could we punish them so that it will be given? Literally they have high standards in giving merits or else they were just lazy in giving merits. How i wish those smerits if not given im a period of time will be deducted on their merits.

You are so imposed on milking out the sMerits of people that you made two threads regarding the same concern:
This thread and this one (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3220858.0) Roll Eyes

Theymos made it clear that sMerits unused will be decaying after sometime. This will solve the probable issue that "some high ranked member might try to rank up their alt-account" - however that does not mean members are going to distribute sMerits at random to  newbie shitposters who dont read the rules and spam threads like nutjobs and dipshits.

Its easy to blame the system for the problems that you face, while the only problem in the system is you.
8086  Other / Meta / Re: Does Bounty Hunters Eligible To Earn Merit? on: March 30, 2018, 08:26:15 AM
As  I became an affiliate to bitcointalk some few days ago, I started to read many thread and make my own research to help my economic life. Anyway I do not learn  anything I say, but learn a lot when I am listening. now I am making my best to know much about give away merit system and before I continue, I must know does bounty hunters deserve for merit?

Merit is given to those posts which are deemed as quality posts by the merit sources.

As far as bounty hunting is concerned, merit system was introduced in order to reduce the endless stream of spam that is used to increase post counts and rank up by the shitposters. Now a bounty hunter can be a shitposter and vice-versa.

If you think you are a bounty hunter, which is again a title you have applied on yourself since it is not a rank or position here, you should work on your post quality and not think of merits being awarded or not.

Its not a question of who deserves what. Its about what quality your posts bring out. You are a newbie here who 2nd post in the forum is about merit. I guess you will end up in the "Ignore" list of many merit sources.
8087  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin breaks $6k barrier on: March 30, 2018, 08:16:23 AM
One day breaks the 6k barrier on another day of 8k ... nothing's safe with bitcoin. Back up down ... who does it mean ?!

Does it really matter to people? The lower the price the more bitcoin you can buy for less USD fiat money. Its not a question of safety or security. Nobody will be able to "Hack" bitcoin. Its market price is going up and down based on how people trading on it and what FUD is being spread in the social media.

Definitely it would bounce back as it did earlier. It might be another move by big whales to manipulate bitcoin price.

Whales pump the price and then dump when the target is reached. Plain and simple. Just make sure you give heart attacks to the people who are buying at high price and the prices will drop like anything. Again it is the whales who will pump it as well.
8088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking for a list of best bitcoin cassinos according to their users on: March 29, 2018, 12:54:34 PM
hello i'm looking for a list of the best bitcoin cassinos from people who where actually able to win games
Did you know that there is something called google and you can search for "the best bitcoin casinos" there and get loads more results than shitposters here? You can even land up in the sites which provide reviews about these sites and then decide which one is best for you.

Quote
can anyone tell me what are the easiest and honest bitcoin gamblimg sites?
"Easiest" - in terms of gambling, there is nothing called easy or hard. It depends on your luck and if luck is not on your side, well then enjoy your losses. It is not that playing more and more makes you "practice" so as to win the future games, No. Your next bet has same probability as the last one.

"Honest" - Provably Fair and constant uninterrupted availability of withdrawals is what you need to check. If the site is provably fair and there are not much legitimate scam accusations in this forum about then then they are good to play in.
8089  Other / Off-topic / Re: Solution to overcome panic on: March 29, 2018, 12:37:40 PM
best solution is to simply trust your judgement and common sense instead of fud and speculation. Yes the prices can go down anytime, but in long term if the project is used and successful, price will show that

Our judgement is not always correct and we are no gods who can judge everything. We often make mistakes in decisions and thus face the market wrath from time to time. Although ignoring FUD is a good thing if you have belief in the project, blindly following the admins sugar-coated words will make you a part of the kool-aid team at one time if you dont sell at the rise.

You do not need to keep track of the price every hour or every day, if you believe in crypto currency then you should know in the long term it will grow.

I keep an eye on price every week or so since market has been kind of in the below 10k USD mark and nothing significant to note. Unless the bull run begins again.
8090  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what advice? on: March 29, 2018, 12:31:59 PM
Successfull Trading is not a game for amateur but professionals and skills personality. Therefore, you should not jump into trading without appropriate knowledge on how trading works. You will loses money if you don't know how the game is being play. Developing your skills through practice is a must if you want to be a professional trader.

I would not say trading as a game, but simply a skill. Those who can foresight the market movements can make money from it. I dont think people here are going or aiming to become professional traders but most of them are hobbyist traders. Even for those who trade once a blue moon, buying low and selling high works because they are not interested in what happens in between the trades.

Again trading should not be considered like gambling.
8091  Other / Meta / Re: Should game-protect be banned? on: March 28, 2018, 07:25:09 PM
I am not voting for yes or no but I will post a statement which is a fact.

Making some comments on threads trying to defame others and trying to make up lies to make such propaganda look legitimate is not bannable in this forum. If that was true then QuackDucklingScammer would have been banned long back but they are still here lurking around.

Similarly Game-protect has his own propaganda and thats not ban worthy. Sure he has been tagged accordingly but they wont be banned - as per the forum policies. Now if you dont like the forum politics then you are welcome to leave the forum.
8092  Economy / Lending / Re: Small loan on: March 28, 2018, 05:58:00 PM
I am looking for a small loan of 75$

I have collateral in the form of 550,000 like coins

I can repay the loan in one weeks time with whatever interest is agreed by me and the lender.

If I have missed any information please ask Smiley

What is the collateral - can you please enlighten us on that? If its worth 120-150% of the loan value then people might be interested.

Also are you asking for a btc loan or btc loan pegged to USD value? I reckon it is the second one - which lenders dont like in general.

The collateral is 573022.90000000 Like coin. You can view the website here - https://www.likecoincurrency.com

My like coin wallet - LSAyd2ZPFK5QAWfYzwiJrxWJoZrLxZki8q

I am looking for a loan of btc, ethereum or litecoin. I am unsure as to what you mean by the type of loan, it would be whatever is best for the lender and myself and to be agreed accordingly.

This project seems to be a copy-paste of a pump and dump scheme and there is no team or proper whitepaper regarding it. Not something I would accept as collateral. Again the exchange is shady AF and would not want to go there in case you default and run away.

I wont accept those coins as collateral. Good luck with your loan request.

8094  Other / Meta / Re: Newb To Newbs: Gaining Merit Fast! on: March 28, 2018, 01:00:26 PM
Isnt this the n-th thread about a newbie coming for the first time to the "Meta" section of the forum after their daily posting in bounties to talk about the merit system and hope to get some merits?

What else do you people do? Refresh your own "Merit Page" every 2minutes to check which kind-hearted Merit source dropped some merits on you for making "An extremely thread" - attempts at which has been made n-number of times in the last 3 months.

I seriously hope a new rule to be applied: Newbies making threads about "Merit" = InstaPermaBAN
8095  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New to Trading on: March 28, 2018, 12:54:38 PM
What are the driving factors for crytpocurrency valuation?

Scarcity? Utility? Use? Demand? Network? or am I off base already?
We can see that the market has been fluctuating continuously over the past few days and it is difficult to predict. Both exchanges are red, bitcoin and altcoin prices are extremely strong in recent days and there is no clear signs of recovery. Therefore, in order to have successful commercials, you need to have a specific commercial plan in line with the information channels.

I dont understand what connection there is between having information channels and price rise/fall of bitcoin or altcoins. This idea seems applicable to pump and dump altcoins where a pump signal is given in their "information channel" aka twitter/facebook/telegram group and then the crew essentially pumps it up while the initiator of the signal sells and cashes out, laughing at the huge loss of the koolaid crew.

Hopefully because if the market will not recover we will lose a lot of money especially those people who bought during the peak of last year.
Patience is very important here, we cannot be successful if we do not trust the future of the crypto, we need to hold and be strong so we can avoid panicking.
Even if the market does not recover you can recover your money. Patience and faith is needed. If you truly believe in the value of some coin then keep your belief steel-strong.
8096  Other / Off-topic / Re: Solution to overcome panic on: March 28, 2018, 12:49:39 PM
as a newbie since i am too and only been in this space for about a little over 6 months what I have learned is to never become emotionally attach to the money.
Which is very hard and im not saying i am 100 percent perfect at it but it will overall be better and healthier for you in the long run.
Do not become emotionally attached to your money. Although the deflationary design of bitcoin makes people stockpile it for future. The question still remains - for how long? A person's lifetime? or to their successors as well? I believe you should cash the bitcoins at times of pump and then buy back when the dip happens. This recycling as per the market movement is important.

Quote
One solution I have is I have started to think in crypto and not fiat because if i start thinking in dollars then i will go crazy because of the volatility of the market.
True but dont forget that crypto is the one which is more risky. How you invest in different coins is upto you.

Quote
But when i think in crypto everything is much better because i am essentially compounding!
Not essentially because prices can drop often.
8097  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good News on: March 28, 2018, 12:45:03 PM
good news for crypto, hopefully the lawsuit was accepted and good for the world crypto. and google news that will prohibit crypto ads will be canceled.
These companies dont want crypto thats for sure. Its how the world works. Banks dont want to accept crypto - governments dont want to make all their transactions transparent for then they would be shamed by general public for all the illegal transactions that occur and the corruption will be in front of their eyes.

New news will occur in the next period for Bitquin and the movement of other currencies and from the perspective of this will significantly affect the current price of Betcuain and other currencies
*faceplam* Its Bitcoin for heaven's sake and not Bitquin nor Betcuain Huh Damn you shitposters will never learn how to write proper English.

I do not have to believe every single hurdle. There are many false reports. Who will you trust? They force people to get bitcoins. I think they're stealing people's money.

Trust yourself and sell crypto when you want. Cheesy Its not that crypto is the last thing in the world. Its also important to book profits at times. But why do you think they are stealing people's money?
8098  Economy / Lending / Re: Small Loan on: March 27, 2018, 01:37:49 PM
When it comes to Instagram once the user have email control they have full control of the account. I will gladly allow an trusted user to change the password on my email until repayment.

Find a trusted escrow, we will proceed from there.
I will find but you have to pay the escrow.

You can try getting an escrow for this deal but the instagram accounts are worthless as far as a collateral. They can be recovered easily by contacting support and thus make it an easy scam for the lender to suffer. I dont know how much you are going to lend the OP but do so with due caution.

To me this seems like an attempt to sell the collateral.
8099  Economy / Reputation / Re: Need Consideration Because Red Trust on: March 27, 2018, 01:12:56 PM
I'm really need your consideration sir, like I say before, if I trade merit with acha1217 I will send all my merits to his to make it balance, but I only send 1 merit and i want to give 1 more merit to another member.
Probably you did it because you wanted to gradually grow your possible alt ring with acha1217 so that others would not be suspicious?

The thing that bugs me most is that why are you even remotely sulking about acha1217 for being given negative trust? The fact you gave them one merit does not mean you will become all so concerned about them - if you did not even have any hidden agenda under the curtain.

Wonder if sudhik's "friend" will even comment on this thread. Roll Eyes

Again you literally claimed that you do bounties here as a "job" - which makes you a shitposting pajeet.

Thanks sir.
Simply remove those people who gave you red mark from your trust list and then come back to the forum - this should restore your so called "self-esteem"

This should not be the reason that you will stop contributing to the forum. If you have self-esteem then continue posting on the forum and discussing about crypto - because thats what you are here on this forum for....I guess.

8100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever stopped or removed from casino on: March 27, 2018, 12:59:13 PM
Good decision. The slot machines are the ones that attract me the most and I know that I need to stop so I just play slot machines on amusement parks for an alternative so I can stop that addiction and losing a lot of money.

So people are just suckers for slot machines and they are attracted to all the colours and pictures of those. Not to mention they end up losing a lot of money chasing the big wins there. I dont know how an amusement park is having slot machine. Is an amusement park not supposed to be for the children to play in? I think a slot machine there will only be placed for the children to play on and not for gambling.

I am not a fun of the casinos either but what i know is that when you also start beating them genuinely without cheating they feel that you are cheating and might remove you also.
You mean "fan" - right? Again if a person wins big at casinos - they wont kick that person out. If they do then thats a red flag on the casino. All bitcoin casinos that we see here which are reputed and trustworthy have taken good care of their customers including the big winners.
