Please don't make a like count too complex. Just a simple count of the number of appreciative users is quite good enough imho. And don't mess with the order of posting, one of my filters is post count - if a thread has over 100 replies, and I haven't contributed to it, I assume it is a spam fest, and I ignore it. Messing with the sequence of posts based on opinions that I don't respect, will just lead to me ignoring threads. The more thrads that sensible active members ignore, the lower the value of the board advertising, please think of board economics before implementing over-complex changes.

That dark theme is horrible, and I don't like the new layout. I'm another one who votes to be able to go back to the light blue and white of the current theme once I sign up.

Does it matter? If you leave a browser open in the background, then I assume it continues to clock up. If you want to keep it low, then start a reading account to leave open, and use your main account for posting, and close it when you finish.

Put the wallet.dat on a network share. Then make a symlink to it from the data directory.
Could you do that with a wallet on a mobile, and the blockchain on a PC?

It's interesting to see people's perception of the world economy. I can't see the Euro surviving for very long. Rumour has it that the ECB is buying US treasury bonds to keep it's value down. I guess this is to help German exports in the period up to the crash. It can't go on for ever. It's difficult to know what will happen to the US dollar. JP Morgan is accumulation physical silver while it depresses the price of virtual silver. Others are doing the same. I guess this is an indication that the dollar is at risk. The interesting time will come after the new fiscal year in the US. I think a lot of people have been holding off sales to realise their investment profits, as trump is promising to reduce tax rates.
How will this affect Bitcoin? I believe it will help to popularise it as a payment method. After all, that's why it was created.

What do you call a mobile device? I run a full node on a mobile device without any problems - it's an HP core i5 notebook, and I use public WiFi.

I run a full node on public WiFi. I doubt if a ddos attack would get though the isp firewall. It might get me chucked out of the cafe though. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Who do they consider to be "operators" - wallet holders, exchanges, or merchants.
The real revolution for Bitcoin will be the time when exchanges are redundant.
|
|
|
So they aren't really accepting Bitcoin, they are just adding a Bitcoin payment processor to their payment options.
It's time merchants started to accept Bitcoin directly.

Does it incorporate SegWit - a separate board for signatures? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

I don't understand why those stolen coins can't be traced, given that Bitcoin is a public ledger.

We have all got cancer cells. Most of us are able to kill them via our immune system before they make any difference to our lives. However, drugs, both pharmaceutical and recreational can weaken out immune sytems, bad and poisoned food is another factor that helps cancer to grow, The other thing that helps cancer cells to increase is anti-cancer treatment - nobody has ever been "cured" of cancer, despite $billions in research.
So what about feminism, Well I like women, and I think that they should be treated as equal, but different. Feminism is as bad as misogyny.

One of the ways we can form opinions about members is by looking at previous activity. Selling accounts negates this, and it diminishes confidence in the other members. I wish account selling was banned, alternatively the post count could be reset, as it is not relevant to the new "owner".

I wouldn't like a poster to have any active code in his sig, and if I detected it, I would probably put him on ignore. Signatures are enough of a nuisance as it is.

Use a full node to open a wallet that you control yourself.
Warning - this assumes that the value of Bitcoin will continue to increase.
|
|
|
You will just need to open port 8333. Your Bitcoin node will first connect to a node and the node will take note of your IP address and it will relay to the other clients and they can connect to you.
Make sure your host will allow you to do this. Many will not allow it if you are not on a dedicated server.

If you have the ability to make significant money from spamming your signature, then I believe that you have the ability to make a lot more by monetising blogs.

I'm running a full node on a Core i5 notebook, and I connect using McDonalds free WiFi whick is 30Kb/s at the moment. This is part of my project for people adopting a mobile lifestyle. I don't have any problems, and running core in the background doesn't affect my domain name dealing business, or other activities. Well I do have one problem - I'm drinking too much coffee. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)
