Ortiz: I Wasn't Knocked Out By Wilder; Was Completely Fatigued

Quote
“I don’t like to lose, especially in that fashion,” Ortiz said, according to a translator, while talking to a small group of reporters recently. “And to make it very clear, I wasn’t knocked out. I was completely fatigued and [dead] tired. That’s what it was, more than anything else. I would’ve preferred to get knocked out.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/ortiz-i-knocked-out-by-wilder-completely-fatigued--144376

I think this is similar to Pacquiao vs Morales 2. Morales claims that he was really tired and that's why he was knockdown, but we all know that happens to their third and last fight. I think Ortiz will touch the canvass for good here and quit.
8122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / {Warning}: Official Monero site gets hacked Binaries gets compromised on: November 20, 2019, 12:58:08 PM
Quote
Yesterday a GitHub issue about mismatching hashes coming from this website was opened. A quick investigation found that the binaries of the CLI wallet had been compromised and a malicious version was being served. The problem was immediately fixed, which means the compromised files were online for a very short amount of time. The binaries are now served from another, safe, source. See the reddit post by core team member binaryfate.

It's strongly recommended to anyone who downloaded the CLI wallet from this website between Monday 18th 2:30 AM UTC and 4:30 PM UTC, to check the hashes of their binaries. If they don't match the official ones, delete the files and download them again. Do not run the compromised binaries for any reason.

We have two guides available to help users check the authenticity of their binaries: Verify binaries on Windows (beginner) and Verify binaries on Linux, Mac, or Windows command line (advanced). Signed hashes can be found here: https://getmonero.org/downloads/hashes.txt.

The situation is being investigated and updates will be provided soon.

https://web.getmonero.org/2019/11/19/warning-compromised-binaries.html

For those Monero holders out there, please read this important message as you might pull the malicious version accidentally or maybe you have the compromised binaries already.

You can also follow this link for more information: https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/dyfozs/security_warning_cli_binaries_available_on/

Someone already reported that he had lost $7k already, don't be the next statistics, stay safe.

Ok, so he was exposed as a fraudulent individual, I mean him posting pictures with Andreas Antonopoulos just 'trying' to look legit? Lol, at least now we really know his personality and do hope that people will stop believing this guy. I feel bad for those who have been scammed by him, by I know karma will catch sooner or later.

Heto na lang: 49 Disguised Adware Apps With Optimized Evasion Features Found on Google Play.

Quote
We recently found 49 new adware apps on Google Play, disguised as games and stylized cameras. These apps are typical adware, hiding themselves within mobile devices to show ads and deploying anti-uninstall and evasion functions. These apps are no longer live but before they were taken down by Google, the total number of downloads was more than 3 million.

Ang daming nakapag download baka ba ma i take down ng Google, ibig sabihin nakapaminsala na tong mga adware or malware no to either physical mobile phone nila o naka gather na ng data sa mga naka pag install na.

Bumping this thread,

Manny Pacquiao Looking at March or April Date For Return

Quote

There are several possible options under the Premier Boxing Champions umbrella.

IBF, WBC welterweight champion Errol Spence is slated to return in the first half of the year after suffering injuries in an automobile accident.

There are also options like Danny Garcia, Mikey Garcia, Yordenis Ugas, Shawn Porter and several others.

Pacquiao, who is a senator back home in the Philippines, is looking to return on a date in March or April, because the Senate will be in recess from March 14 to May 3.

https://www.boxingscene.com/manny-pacquiao-looking-march-april-date-return--144325

Maybe early next year we will see negotiations on the table as to who will Manny face early next year as it seems that the timetable for him to fight in 2020 has been set already. As per article, Roach says he prefer Danny Garcia, if Spence is not yet available. Danny Garcia is also dangerous and still at his prime, so if ever Manny settles with Danny, I'm OK with that because I know that it will also be exciting as the Thurman fights. And Danny pop's is good at selling fights as well because Angel Garcia is a thrash talker.
8127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 17, 2019, 11:25:36 AM
Jan Błachowicz won against Ronaldo Souza with split decision.

Only two matches ended with KO in UFC fight night 164 Charles Oliveira and James Krause.
most of other fights where also decision wins. No bonus awarded.

This boring UFC event ended finally.
Lets move on.

Yeah, I wasn't able to watch the fight but it's good though, because I read that it was such a boring UFC event. There's a lot of comments in Twitter specially from fighters which is funny,  Grin

I guess the two just being careful in their chess game match, a win is a win though for Blachowicz. Smiley
8128  Bitcoin / Legal / Mt. Gox Trustee Delays Bitcoin Distribution by March on: November 17, 2019, 10:36:28 AM
Well, another bump in the road,

Quote
Nobuaki Kobayashi (pictured), the rehabilitation trustee for the bankrupt bitcoin exchange MT Gox, stated last month the distribution of funds can not meet the deadline of 28th of October, so it has been postponed to March 31, 2020.

That’s precisely six years since MT Gox entered bankruptcy in 2014, with the trustee stating according to a rough translation:

“I am in discussion with several parties while continuing to consider how to pay each creditor.

https://www.trustnodes.com/2019/11/13/mt-gox-trustee-delays-bitcoin-distribution-to-march

I guess we are still far from settling this and it will still haunt us no matter what. I'm not sure if Mt. Gox claimants here in the community has heard of this news. But I guess they can't do anything at this point but to wait for further notice and I do hope that they won't fall for scammers around who's taking advantage of this Mt. Gox case.

8129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top Cryptocurrencies to Invest in 2020 on: November 16, 2019, 11:29:56 PM
Again, I will point you here, EXPERIMENT - Tracking Top 10 Cryptocurrencies of 2019 - Month Ten - UP 39%.

Not my experiment but his conclusion says it all, Bitcoin is still the best investment so I will suggest that smart investors should hold at least majority of their invested in bitcoin and the rest alts in the top 10. You don't need to complicate things here and be a intelligent investor, just used your common sense and you will be good in the long run.
8130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 16, 2019, 11:03:12 PM
The reason i am giving Blachowicz the advantage is because Souza is coming off a loss to Jack Hermansson and his age and he is battle tested and have multiple injuries and he is moving up a division,
Whoah! I didn't notice it. Jacare is now a Light Heavyweight contender for real Shocked. I forgot that he originally came from the Middleweight division lol. Anyway, I agree to you somehow but I honestly disregard his new weight class among the disadvantages we can think of. Here's the simple logic, Jacare and his trainers won't decide to go in the higher division in the first place if he is not comfortable with it, right? Hmm facing adjustments are inevitable of course but I'm confident he could used to it. The bottomline, I'm not bothered for him moving but his age does Grin.

I guess instead of retiring, Jacare chooses to move up in weight and be a LHW. But he can't taken lightly here by Blachowicz just because he is way past his prime, Souza still possesses one of the best overhand right in my opinion. And you don't want to be in under Jacare in the mat, because he is a strong finisher.  However, I agree that Souza has multiple injuries and old as hell and very slow and Blachowicz can take advantage of that. So I give Blachowicz the advantage as well, either by KO/TKO.
8131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis ATP Finals 2019 on: November 16, 2019, 10:30:32 PM
It was an interesting year-ender for the big 3. Although they will keep their standing, (1) Nadal, (2) Djokovic and (3) Federer this year. But it looks like there could be changing of the guards next year as a lot of young and upcoming players are really giving them a run for their money specially in this tournament. Now its Tsitsipas vs Thiem in the finals. But we are still at awe with the big 3, specially Federer nearing 40 but still giving players in their 20's a good match.
8132  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Altcoins or Bitcoin? on: November 16, 2019, 10:07:39 PM
Maybe we can learn a two with this guy, EXPERIMENT - Tracking Top 10 Cryptocurrencies of 2019 - Month Ten - UP 39%.

Quote
Overall update – Bitcoin with a sizable lead followed by Litecoin. All cryptos in positive territory except Ripple and Stellar.

BTC and Litecoin are still far ahead of their peers, up +145% and +95% respectively in 2019. My initial $100 investment in Bitcoin is now worth $250.

All Top Ten cryptos are still either flat or in positive territory except Ripple and Stellar. Although each increased in value in October, Stellar remains in the basement down -40% so far in 2019, followed by Ripple, down -18%.

So it's pretty obvious that BTC is still the king here, his investment in alts seem to fluctuate alone but his bitcoin investment alone is up. So you can draw your conclusions with his experiment and I'm sure you will know the answer.  Grin

At para sa mga nagtatanong kung legit ba ito o hindi, FYI and tao sa likod ng website na ito ay isang kagalang galang sa mundo ng infosec, si Troy Hunt:

8134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why are you gambling? on: November 16, 2019, 02:23:18 PM
Of course, I play to win and have some fun as well. And I'm sure most gamblers here are attracted because they wanted to win money obviously. I play both offline and offline games, but I would say that I'm more of a traditional based casino player, because prior to my discovery of off-line games, I'm already hook up and going to casinos with friends and families.

8136  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitgoin is going to moon 1.5.2021 it will hit 236K on: November 15, 2019, 09:19:32 AM
Short term? @$16k this year? Nah, I don't think that we can even touch 4 digits to be honest.

But it will be interesting what the price could be after the block halving 2020-2022 will be big. Crazy predictions, hmmm, I would say in the range of $40k-$50k. But it will take a lot of money to pour, maybe we can hit more than $1 trillion marketcap in the next two to three years. I'm just hoping that FOMO will set the tone and see where it's going to end.  Grin
8137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Projects Scamming Bounty Hunters on: November 15, 2019, 08:52:15 AM
A lot of projects are scamming Bounty Hunters and taking Bounty hunters for a ride. What can we do to stop this?

This is a never ending battle for bounty hunters. And it will not stop because people are so gullible to join or even invest on those projects. The only weapon we can used it common sense, if the project is so good to be true or offering huge amount of tokens in the first place then think again. Maybe they just wanted to tempt you by offering attractive rewards in the beginning, so just be careful, research first so that you won't waste your precious time.
8138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Half a million dollar worth of Cryptocurrency were stolen with SIM swapping on: November 15, 2019, 08:06:52 AM
Hackers will always be one step ahead of the game. And Sim swapping is not new, the problem is that crypto investors or at least those who hold huge amount of coins should know how to protect their assets.
We are in a dangerous cat and mouse game with cyber criminals and everyone should equip themselves on how to better protect our cryptos, like limiting your personal info you share online.
8139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull Run is coming! on: November 14, 2019, 11:51:34 PM
You just have to look at the current state of the altcoin market. It continue to bleed so sorry to say that there's no bull run yet. That's pictures doesn't mean anything, what we need to see is something that can reignite the imagination of investors. And so far that only points to bitcoin halving, because once it's done it is expected that altcoin will also boom, just like we have seen in the last bull run. But it's good to see those picture though, makes people ask and probably will try to invest in bitcoin, for all we know.
8140  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Halving Price Prediction $55,000 - $130,000 on: November 14, 2019, 11:24:42 PM
Maybe the question is when are we going to hit that price?

To be able to get to that range, we need money, fresh blood to pump the market, maybe institutions to enter the picture. But it will be very difficult specially when we tops $20k as this is going to be the big psychological barrier (remember the last time?). But I believed that the money should come in retail or more adoption continents like Africa could be a big place to fuel this, just saying.
