It is the WORST thing to happen to the board since its inception. It has lead to a gamed and broken system to install a bunch of untrustworthy scum into positions of control to crush free speech here.

Seems like free speech is alive and well, as you just exhibited.

Do you really believe persons like smooth

He's a remorseless propagandist. If that's who you think deserves Merits, your values are completely mis-shapen. I guess we knew that already.

I must try harder. I'm right down the list at number 12. I only need another 3,000 merits to get to number 1.

How many projects do I need to start to earn those. Smiley

Apparently all you need to do is write up a bunch of posts on Merits. I should merit your post to reinforce this idea but that might be considered political by some (one).
8162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ANN] Bitcoin short. The easiest way to short bitcoin🔥 on: March 02, 2019, 05:33:13 AM
We officially offered him 100 USD reward if he can confirm his accusation. There's an easy way to check this:
You tell people they would loose money if they connect Metamask to our site? Did you check it? Try with a 10 dollars Metamask account. If you loose anything more than ethereum comission and spread we'll reward you with USD100. If not- send us USD 100. )) -please apologize and delete your post!
He did not do this of course. Apologize? Confess mistakes? No, he doesn't know how it works.

I told you, I don't want your token. I'm not giving you $10, because I don't trust you. That's why I didn't do that. You've provided no evidence of your holdings. You don't have a team, and your white paper is plagiarized. You're exhibiting all the symptoms of a low-level token scam.

Highly likely one of these users is the one who sends us fishing mails. We'll do further investigation on this matter and report their misbehaviour to forum administration.

You really should, I can't wait to see the outcome.

I am only saying that he might be more rational and less emotional today than he was when the market was on high velocity falling down. It might be an appropriate time to begin listening to him again hehehe.

No, there will never be an appropriate time.

CNBC knows better and they will start shuffling new talking heads in front of us this year.
8164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO][SGOLD] SpaceGold - Bringing Physical Gold from Space on: March 02, 2019, 05:21:50 AM
Your last post is riddled with falsehood, so lets analyze them one-by-one:

The twenty-one missions that flew to asteroids prove we know how to fly to asteroids and retrieve material!  lol.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_missions_to_minor_planets

Not 21 missions. The majority of these 21 missions are "incidental flybys" and failures. There is 1 successful sample collection from the Ryugu asteroid, which is thought to be comprised of nickel, iron, cobalt, water, nitrogen, hydrogen and ammonia (no gold).

"Hayabusa2 touched down briefly February 22, 2019 on the Ryugu asteroid, fired a bullet into the surface to puff up dust for collection and blasted back to its holding position, said officials from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)."

There is also 1 successful sample collection from the Itokawa asteroid, which also showed zero gold.

That's it. 2 sample returns, neither of which contained gold.

SGOLD has a proven automated solar powered technique for extracting and refining regolith using solar pumped laser light and is willing to sponsor missions with qualified vendors using this method, or a recovery and refining method they might develop.

Plans on papers. What guarantee do you have that anybody wants to do business with you?

SGOLD holders are ordering 20 years of gold production from automated space mines, recognising the risks.  Delivery occurs every month after return of the first capsule.  0.1 troy ounce minimum deliverable quantity.

Again, dependent on too many contingencies to be a viable business model.

SGOLD contracts will be put together and project missions will be sponsored with qualified vendors using proven recovery techniques.

There are no "proven recovery techniques." So far the only thing that has been returned from an asteroid is dust samples.

SGOLD holders are customers that are making space mining happen.

No, the companies would perform their operations regardless of the funds raised here that you are throwing at them.

Each SGOLD is a contract to buy 1 milligram of gold per month from a space mine at 25% of the London Precious Metal Market price at time of delivery, for 240 months of production.

OK so like I said earlier, it would appear that an SGOLD token holder has to hold their token(s) for 240 months in order to fully capitalize on this. There are currently zero space mines. This might be the case for decades.

Each SGOLD costs 0.0041 eth and returns 1 milligram per month for 240 months, altogether worth 0.07292 eth by paying over 240 months a total of 0.01823 at time of delivery - netting a gain of 0.05469 eth for each 0.0041 eth SGOLD token.  A substantial gain of 1,330% over the period.

Again, investors have to wait 20 years to capitalize on this, all while hoping the Ethereum platform isn't totally obsolete by then.

Each tile produced in space has an embedded RFID which is put in the blockchain at time of manufacture, and will likely sell at a premium to commodity gold, regardless of the prices here.

...

To get one tile each month requires the purchase of 3110 SGOLD at 12.75 eth and returns 240 monthly deliveries of 0.1 troy ounce of gold worth 0.9450 eth with the payment of 0.26325 eth. A total of 24 troy ounces from space worth 226.8 eth over the contract period at today's prices.  Obviously both eth and gold are hedges against inflation or financial black swan events.

Again, this is all extremely speculative. As somebody who has analyzed probably over a hundred ICOs and token-based projects over the years I'd say the chances of this one being successful are far slimmer than almost all of them. And the bar is set pretty low.

Come back again in 10 years after the first gold containing sample may have been returned to earth.
8165  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-02-26] Tom Lee: Bitcoin Will End 2019 On A High Note on: March 01, 2019, 02:14:41 PM
Late in 2018, Tom Lee announced that he will no longer give any further predictions on Bitcoin’s price.

definitely, these "experts" need to take vacations

I propose a bit more stringent conditions for any self-proclaimed cryptocurrency analyst who continually makes claims on TV and then blows it by a margin of over 30%: execution.

You get one chance. If you blow it, you have to shut up and live in exile, forever scorned by the public and shunned by your peers. Tarred and feathered, run out of town.

If you speak on CNBC again and fail to redeem yourself, its the death penalty. There's a bounty put on your head and anybody who sees you is legally obligated to carry out your sentence.

Here's some people that should be on the list:

- John MacAfee
- Tom Lee
- Arthur Hayes
- Mike Novogratz
- the CEO of TenX (his name eludes me at the moment but he's full of shit)
- Nouriel Roubini
- Joseph Stiglitz

Uh oh we're building another pyramid quote.

I’ve been monitoring nutildah user activity in this thread for several days Smiley I don’t try to protect or blame anyone, but i’ve checked the user’s activity history – he discusses similar projects actively It feels like that he’s probably hired to cast dirt at the competitor.

My my what do we have here... Another bump bot I forgot to add to the list. Well you're on it now, congrats.

All zero merit accounts bumping this thread also leave mindless comments on the following projects, just like our friend boiudfg:

CoinMakers by ICO Brothers: cryptocurrency creation, forking
🔥[ANN] Ura.Market — A New Format For Safe Investment🔥
[ANN][AIRDROP][ICO] FORTFC - UNIQUE CRYPTOLIQUIDITY AGGREGATOR
Sugi NFC Cryptocurrency Wallet Card now Worldwide AND at a Reduced Price]Sugi NFC Cryptocurrency Wallet Card now Worldwide AND at a Reduced Price

Wonder if they are also scams. They should definitely be looked into.

he discusses similar projects actively It feels like that he’s probably hired to cast dirt at the competitor.

Oh really? That's news to me. Can you please give me just one of your many examples I'm sure that you have?

He’s right in many cases, haven’t you thought about it? As for discussion of similar projects, maybe, he just likes such projects, so what?

Thanks for identifying yourself, added you too.

My question to you is, are you just one guy who happens to enjoy talking to themselves, or do you have a team of people with 6-10 counts between the each of you? 30+ accounts is an awful lot for just one person to manage.

Hi there,

I am no mod, nor an admin to Duckdice but it will be a pleasure to be able to help you with your question/inquiry.
Can you tell us what the problem might be?

or maybe call out to their strict but very friendly mods, like bobstone, miki, mharckie to name a few.

Just read some of his previous posts.. The only thing this account has ever done is post in this thread. It was an interesting and dramatic story. Highly entertaining.
8169  Economy / Reputation / Re: Community opinion on Signature campaign spreadsheets on: March 01, 2019, 06:12:57 AM
It appears Stake has added a spreadsheet for all to see within the last hour. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1OGQBpBWDy_2N6flWRmeQ3oJbxSvDXD_rpkbPNMVHo7Q/edit#gid=1373140560

What's weird is this spreadsheet doesn't include all the participants. Or if it does, that means some people are wearing their signature and avatar for no reason:

I'm a coinomi user since 2017 and got no problem with that, so far. My biggest fund there was around $5k and didn't worry about hacking issue since I have a passphrase. But your story is different from mine since you imported your passphrase from exodus wallet and maybe someone had spotted this since you really have decent amount.

I'm not a techy person so I can't say anything, I just feel sorry for your money that seems no getting back.
And if there will further update what coinomi has to say please keep us posted here.

You probably didn't read my post very well. Coinomi's wallet simply takes your passphrase and spell checks it with a remote server!

Sort of since it's lengthy, lol. Well I really thought that it's exodus the importing that triggered everything, pardon me on that. So earlier, had checked those links in the OP since honestly I'm in coinomi's side ( sorry again ) but upon reading all those links I found out these are all true ( especially those reddit posts ). Maybe I trusted it too much and ain't aware those "backdoors".

I'm having my thoughts right now which wallets are safe since even a hardware wallet can be tampered upon shipping.

Bounty managers do not _have_ to make the spreadsheet public, but it provides a degree of transparency and credibility if they do. All problems that arise from doing so can be resolved on the forum, also in public.
8170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First seastead is now in international waters. Only currencies accepted..฿ & BTC on: March 01, 2019, 05:41:48 AM
Good luck out there!

I would think there is a 95% probability you will be attacked at some point. Its not like you can keep your location a secret. In your other thread you said you have guns with plans for bigger guns on the way, but being psychologically prepared to have to kill people is another thing! Takes some giant balls, that's for sure. Kudos.
8171  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bump Bot Ring & Project Employers: 23 accounts (and counting) exposed on: March 01, 2019, 03:47:43 AM

All bumping the same projects with stupid questions and replying to themselves.
8172  Economy / Reputation / Re: Introduction on: March 01, 2019, 03:18:19 AM

Waiting for his ban apparently, so that another "teammate" could pop up. I wonder how big the team is and why they can't afford their own e-mail addresses and telegram names.

Email addresses are expensive these days...

8173  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Providing Fake Google Reviews on: March 01, 2019, 03:00:48 AM
Its definitely shady but not as bad a scam as some.

Plus, $6.50 a review seems a bit pricey for 5-10 minutes worth of work.

Anybody can create a stack of U.S.-based google accounts and write reviews from them.

I'm never impressed when people advertise dishonest services but I'm also not sure they should be labeled as a "scammer." At least not for forum purposes.

Definitive proof that we're currently mining asteroids for gold VVV

When I saw this picture was from a law firm website, this immediately came to mind:

8175  Other / Meta / Re: Who exactly told theymos to change the threshold to 250 cycled merits? on: February 28, 2019, 02:39:48 PM
I like the concept of merit recycling, so I've changed my personal text to reflect this. Smiley

I broke the cycle and gave you a merit.

I think it's unlikely any one person specifically instructed theymos to change it, but with several people calling it into question, it probably prompted a judgement call.

We have to keep in mind that the merit system has only been around for a year and a couple months. So, 250 may seem like a lot now, but a year from now it might not seem like that at all.
8176  Economy / Reputation / Re: Stake.com (SteveStake) is encouraging spam. on: February 28, 2019, 02:19:57 PM
Nobody writes more than 100 quality posts a week -- nobody.

I admit the amount of BTC they pay is compelling but I wouldn't want to be associated with what looks to be an all-you-can spam contest.

For instance, both of these by Tamilson are just awful, I bolded the most telling parts:

8177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING - Coinomi Wallet CRITICAL Vulnerability Made Me Lose My Life Savings on: February 28, 2019, 11:26:54 AM
It is weird that they wouldn't offer him some sort of basic solace by saying something along the lines of "We will reimburse you the market value of your coins as a bug bounty if it is demonstrated that the coins were moved as a result of third party-related wrong-doing."

I can see why the guy would be upset and its pretty unprofessional that they would just say, "oh, he's a blackmailer so we're just not dealing with him any more." Sounds like things will indeed get ugly and it will be interesting to see if a Google employee indeed had something to do with this.
8178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ANN] Bitcoin short. The easiest way to short bitcoin🔥 on: February 28, 2019, 11:02:35 AM
These users are both part of a bump bot service where a project promoter pays to have his thread bumped by accounts pretending to ask questions about the project. This is not legitimate conversation. They both always comment on the same threads, feel free to examine for yourself.

We appreciate any feedback, really. But stop spamming here with your negative attitude to everything. I will respond to you only after you do this:

You tell people they would loose money if they connect Metamask to our site? Did you check it? Try with a 10 dollars Metamask account. If you loose anything more than ethereum comission and spread we'll reward you with USD100. If not- send us USD 100. )) -please apologize and delete your post!

Hope you appreciate the "feedback" you're paying for. How much does a bump bot service cost anyway?

Tell you what: you update your website with detailed information about your holdings and a public team and I'll stop calling you a scam. Until then, you're most definitely a scam.

Read my previous message to you.

Really? Your answer to not having a public team or being able to verify the holdings you claim to have is to tell me to send you money? No thanks. I don't want your token.

By the way, you only update your token price once a day, so if the price of BTC swings more than 3% in between updates you're going to take losses by people buying or selling your token and capitalizing on the difference. But of course that could only happen if you always do everything you say you are going to do, and there's not a strong chance of that happening.
