8161  Other / Meta / Re: Attention! How To Fight Back Scams? on: December 02, 2018, 05:13:32 AM
You're obviously very new to bitcointalk and probably to crypto in general.  The first rule you should follow here is: don't trust anyone.  Even if a member has a green trust score, that account could have been bought or hacked and they could be looking to scam you.  The one and only time I got scammed here was because I loaned a Sr. Member with green trust some bitcoin, and he never paid me back--and I didn't ask for collateral, which was my 2nd mistake there.

Even trusted members here have been known to go rogue and start scamming, which is why I'm telling you not to trust anyone, at least not completely.  Doing deals here is very risky, and escrow should always be used and if you're lending you should always get collateral of at least 120% of the loan amount.

Finally, if something sounds too good to be true, turn around and run away.  You'll see offers like the one in the OP all the time, either as posts or in PMs.  Fuck that noise and don't waste your time even reading them.  This forum is infested with scammers, so you just need some common sense and a great deal of skepticism.
8162  Economy / Reputation / Re: Busted Legendary[u=411506] selling his own account for $440 using alt on: December 02, 2018, 02:41:44 AM
S/he received negative trust by DT "Lauda" but now Lauda is not on DT list that's why it is on untrusted list. S/he should deserve same which was done by Lauda.
Agreed, and I think OP presented good enough evidence that this account is for sale, so I tagged it.  Here's another bad outcome of Lauda being booted from DT.  We can expect more of this I'm sure.
8163  Economy / Reputation / Re: Abused in Trust system on: December 01, 2018, 10:43:40 PM
This dipshit registered a week ago and is trying to sell get-rich-quick advice AND is making outrageous claims about making huge amounts of money before he got hacked.  Yeah, OK.  Typical 3rd world scammer and probably is an alt account of some other scammer here.  And yeah, Ecuamobi has the right to neg you, and it looks like he did the right thing by doing so.  Get lost.
8164  Other / Meta / Re: Merit points to rank up on: December 01, 2018, 09:52:24 PM
Be good and make more friends with high smerit points sp.that they can give you if they think your posts is constructive. The hardest part is to make friends.with them because we are all anonymous and it is hard to know them personally. lol. This is just an opinion and I never done it before.
Well at least you've earned a few merits, but you didn't get them by making friends here I'm pretty sure.  Unless you know a member in real life, bitcointalk tends to just be a collection of individuals who value their anonymity--not to mention that a lot of folks can be pretty prickly sometimes.  Lots of disagreements and drama and so forth, so "friendship" is a rare thing around here.  At least that's how I view it.

This is yet again another thread where people with no earned merits are giving advice on how to earn merits.  I have most of the members who've posted on this page on ignore, too.  One of these days they're going to learn that writing one-liners about "making good constructive posts" isn't going to do any good for them or for anybody.
8165  Other / Meta / Re: How recognized are you in the bitcointalk world? on: December 01, 2018, 03:45:21 PM
I am at 777. That's like the Number of the Beast but not quite.
Not even on the same side of the street.

So I guess we never got those bitcointalk trading/playing/tarot cards going.  I wish I could take the reins on that one, but I have no contacts, pull with anyone, nor any spare cash anymore.  Oh well.

I think I was #42 on the bpip list last I checked, which makes me chuckle.  I wouldn't claim to know vod's algorithm, but something about it smells funny.  Not like a dead skunk smell, but more like an incense that, once burned, makes house cats hide in the litter box.  I'm not asking to be down-ranked, but there are hordes of members below me on that list that have to be more "recognized" in the bitcointalk world.  Either that, or it could be that there is a surfeit of blabbering on my part that's fooling people into thinking I know what I'm talking about and also drawing too much attention.

I'm going to open the windows and try to locate my cats.
8166  Other / Meta / Re: Please mods nuke these 10 accounts on: December 01, 2018, 02:36:41 PM
it would take days until the implementation is done by theymos.
I'm sorry, did you say "days"?  I think you're either not familiar with the pace of change around here, or you misspelled "decades".

Such a thing would be useful for reporting chronic shitposters/spammers instead of the now-tedious method of reporting each piece of shit post one-by-one.  I used to be a bit passionate about visiting Bitcoin Discussion/Altcoin Discussion and reporting garbage posts and then checking profiles to see if that was a pattern, but it's far too time-consuming.  A simple "report profile" would be nice, and then a mod could do a quick check of a member's post history.  Usually you can just look at the first page and conclude whether someone is a bounty spammer or not.
8167  Other / Meta / Re: I would like to recover my banned account please on: December 01, 2018, 04:36:05 AM
Did you buy that account at some point in 2017?
8168  Other / Serious discussion / Re: A serious discussion of what's funny... or not. How comedy has changed. on: November 30, 2018, 11:14:45 PM
I think it is a good progress.
Oh hell no, it's not progress when you can't write jokes about something for fear of offending people.

Men and women are extremely different, which is something that this new wave of feminism seems to want to ignore.  I'd love to hear jokes about the #metoo movement and any other thing that would offend me.  I love racist jokes.  I love jokes about white people, fat people, crippled people, jokes about afflictions or characteristics I have.

Political correctness has gone WAY too far, and I hate to say this but the election of Donald Trump just pushed people right over the edge--for a lot of reasons that I don't feel like typing because I've spend all day masturbating to the Enumclaw Horsefucking video and my fingers are fatigued.  Mr. Hands did a fantastic job in that, by the way and the rodwork by the horse was outstanding.(1)

This is going to pass.  This won't be the new norm.  I'm hoping this to be the case, anyway.  If you can't tell dirty/filthy/sick jokes professionally to people who have the choice to not tune in or show up to hear them, this world just might have sailed through some sort of morality wormhole.

(1) It's a joke, son.
8169  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't sell your bitcoin expert warn. on: November 30, 2018, 11:37:40 AM
Guess how many so called "experts" also said that $5000 was the bottom?
<snip>
Agree 100% with that and the rest of your post.  In addition, this is from a crypto news site, which means you really shouldn't put much stock in statements like this.  Of course they're going to tell you not to sell.  That would be like Kitco telling people they ought to be dumping all of their gold & silver--it's never going to happen.

However, despite what I just wrote I also agree that now is a bad time to be selling bitcoin.  I happen to agree with the sentiment, but not because of what some media-proclaimed "experts" are saying but because I think the bull market is just taking an extended breather and will resume its upward trajectory.  But that's just my opinion, and my hope, and you shouldn't take that as anything other than some random internet guy's words.
8170  Economy / Reputation / Re: Waiting for red tag "therealfalcon" alt of scammer + abuser on: November 30, 2018, 10:50:10 AM
I tagged 33bitcoin and blocksminer based on those scam accusations, which were never addressed--even though some of the e-mail/chat provided in the scam accusations is flimsy.  If either one of them can refute the scam claims, I'll remove those feedbacks.

This argument between Rambotnic and therealfalcon is just stupid.  First off, it sounds like therealfalcon is either overreacting to having some time wasted (welcome to the world) or is outright lying.  I'd like to see what evidence he has in the form of PM logs and such with Rambotnic.  I'd also like to see more solid evidence that therealfalcon is an alt account of 33bitcoin and/or blocksminer.  From what was posted here, I'm not convinced.
8171  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lutpin and his kinds are not gods so stop it. on: November 30, 2018, 12:41:42 AM
No waiting, you say. I'm waiting more than 4 months since the last payment Smiley.
Dude, I didn't even know the Yobit campaign was still runnning!  I have sigs blocked, but I have noticed your personal message and I think I once asked you if you were still in the campaign but don't recall if I got a reply.  I could have imagined that anyway, or it could have been someone else.

And I think you confused Secondstrade with Bitmixer. Bitmixer was automated campaign, not Secondstrade and they a lot of shitposters in their campaign, until they decided to hire Lauda. Secondstrade campaign wasn't that bad.
I didn't say Secondstrade was automated, just that it was not managed by an outside campaign manager that they hired but the Secondstrade.com account on bitcointalk itself.

8172  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] star wars comic set on: November 29, 2018, 11:09:39 PM
to The Pharmacist, yeah I understand completely, I sell stuff on here because I want bitcoin :-) if I wanted cash I would use e-bay and the like, if they dont sell here, might give them to nephew, doubt I will sell them for cash.

to owlcatz - yeah, these are not for sale anywhere else, I know you buy alot here, you rock!

last bump, thanks for looking.
I'mma bump this once more, and it's not completely off-topic.  I sold some Nintendo games here for bitcoin once, but one of the very first posts I made was a sales thread (for other games) where no one was interested.  They all said the games looked great but nobody made any offers.  I've seen this numerous times in threads for goods that aren't bitcoin-related collectibles, and I've just always had this strong impression that people here want to keep their bitcoin and not spend it for something they could buy with fiat.

No offense intended to squall1066; he's obviously no rookie here.  No offense taken from owlcatz since you apparently didn't call me a shitposter (thank you).  If it ever comes to the point where the consensus is that I'm a spammer, I will dox myself to BayAreaCoins and give him permission to machine gun me to death.

I love comics, especially Marvel titles from the Star Wars era of the 70s/80s.  Wish I could help you (squall1066) out, but I don't collect comics anymore and I'd probably check eBay first if I was in the market for them.  I do also wish you luck with your sale and hope you don't mind my bumping this thread one last time.
8173  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion regarding Ignore on: November 29, 2018, 10:00:30 PM
Maybe when the new forum software arrives--right after Jesus Christ comes back to Earth--this could be implemented.  I do think it would be useful, because I also can't stand seeing my ignored list members' posts getting quoted such that I have to see them.

I'd also like the option of not just graying out ignored users' threads but not having to see them at all.
8174  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lutpin and his kinds are not gods so stop it. on: November 29, 2018, 07:33:05 PM
And even if we were completely impartial with those posts, the perception of bias would still be there.
I'm sure I took the criticism about Yobit spammers personally and someone accused me of being one on my trust wall, but I don't remember there being nearly the amount of scam accusations against Yobit back then as opposed to now.  My demeanor and attitude have probably changed somewhat from my Yobit days.

However, though I tried to be diplomatic about it, I was in Lutpin's 777Coin campaign and at one point posted this in the thread:
Payments are today, right?  The first week payment was at noon on Sunday, it's now 11pm Sunday where I'm at.  No offense Lutpin, I'm a fairly patient guy, but a little communication (including responding promptly in the thread to those who applied ) and consistency would be good.
I finally quit the campaign because of stuff like this, but I'll also admit I was 1) too impatient, and 2) not nearly so well-versed in how "flexible" campaign managers are in terms of when they make payments.  I think I deleted my final post in that thread because it was basically something juvenile, like "I'm done with this campaign".   I never disliked Lutpin and still respect him, and I don't mean the neg trust on him to reflect anything personal or vindictive because of crap like the above.  If I were him I probably would have told me to STFU and be patient.

However....the latest delays that the Lutpin/Lightlord campaigns have experienced go far beyond defending like I did with Yobit or you, suchmoon, might have done with the Asicminer campaign.  Neither of those made their participants suffer quite like Lutpin/Lightlord's have as far as I know (though now that I'm remembering Yobit, that fucking "withdrawal" button used to get frozen quite often).

It bears repeating that not only were the Bitvest/777Coin participants made to wait weeks to get paid, but bitcoin dropped severely during part of that time they were waiting.  That's doubly wrong.

And boy, I'd really love to hear from more of the campaign participants themselves.  Some have spoken up, but most have not and I can't imagine that it's because they don't have an opinion on the matter.
8175  Other / Meta / Re: Merit source application of Coolcryptovator on: November 29, 2018, 07:06:31 PM
I will like to see you in DT as well.
With QuestionAuthority removed as Merit source, we are reduced by 1000 source Merits.
When did he get removed?  Was it mentioned in a thread of its own or did I just miss it in another thread?  I'm not trying to derail this thread--and I've already lent my support to Coolcryptovator--but I don't want to make a new thread just about that.

I don't know why he got removed as a source, but I think he was far too liberal handing out merits.  It was something like 10-20 merits per post that he'd hand out, and while there may be some posts deserving of that amount I think it was way too much.

Sounds like there's an opening, then.  May the best man/woman win if Theymos decides to replace QA.  Good luck, Coolcryptovator.

Edit:
Ah yes, thank you--and to LoyceV who sent me a link via PM.
8176  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lutpin and his kinds are not gods so stop it. on: November 29, 2018, 06:09:09 PM
Ask The Pharmacist about Yobit Wink
Not sure what you mean about that, because I always had mixed feelings about Yobit.  For the noobs here, it was essentially robo-managed, and you could get paid multiple times a day into your Yobit account.  No waiting, no fuss, none of this drama about managers doing lousy jobs.

I wish there were currently campaigns that could pay for posts like Yobit did, except (and this is the mixed feelings part) there's no way to quickly tell if a post is a good one or not unless your standards are near zero and it's only character count that matters--and Yobit didn't even have a character minimum if I recall correctly.  In any event, Yobit had posters that were even worse than Secondstrade had, and I can't even remember who the Yobit manager was.  I think it was just Yobit's BCT account that did all the talking and dealing with problems, much like Secondstrade.  Maybe suchmoon can correct me if I'm mistaken.

By the way, I agree with OP.  DT members and campaign managers aren't gods and shouldn't be treated with reverence--especially when they don't deserve it and (especially)^2  when the member in question is both a DT member and a campaign member.  Sometimes you have to figuratively be a man, stand up for yourself, and refused to be treated like you live on pagpag.

8177  Economy / Reputation / Re: Luptin and his kinds are not gods so stop it. on: November 29, 2018, 02:41:05 PM
Ever see the movie The Human Centipede?  Well with some of these campaign participants, it seems like instead of forming a linear chain of human bodies on their knees, they all have their oral cavities surgically attached to Lutpin's (or whoever the campaign manager is) anus.

Therefore none of the participants are capable of speaking up and telling a manager that he's doing a shitty job.  They find it much more comfortable saying "oh yessa massa, whateva y'all say massa" and being professional rectal prolapsers than being something other than a mouse who runs to the corner when the cat rears its head.

This situation was made much, much worse because of how much bitcoin crashed.  That would have pissed me off royally.  Now I have to tell you that I think most signature campaigners shouldn't even be members of this forum, much less getting paid to post here, but a deal is a deal.  They don't deserve to be treated worse than Chinese teen Nike sweatshop workers.  Most of the time.

But my point is that if you say you're going to pay a whole bunch of people to advertise for your company/project/whatever, pay them, and pay them on time.  If a manager is having a problem doing that, he deserves to be fired.  I left Lutpin a neg because what he did was absolutely untrustworthy.  Did he scam?  No.  Do I trust him less than I used to?  Yes.  People ought to be warned about his shenanigans, since he might very well be managing campaigns in the future.
8178  Other / Meta / Re: BAN AND FORBIDDEN REASON on: November 29, 2018, 12:52:44 PM
And what do I want to do too hard with you and this forum?
What you want to do is get paid for your posts, but what you're unable to do is write material in your own words--which is why I'm assuming you got banned, because you copy/pasted something from somewhere without giving credit to the person.

You're also an account buyer who just wants to spam.  If all you cared about was discussing crypto, you could do that with a newbie account.

You're also a merit abuser, giving merits to your alts.  That's dishonest.
8179  Other / Meta / Re: BAN AND FORBIDDEN REASON on: November 29, 2018, 12:18:48 PM
Well there's a handled report in the queue for plagiarism.

There's also this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5074396.0

Both Risk Mgmt and     Alex9813 who he's given merit to are probably his alts.
I'd already tagged Alex9813 for account sales, and I agree with your assessment about them being alts.  In addition, the change in language skills on the Risk Mgmt from when it was registered to the present day is enough to convince me that the account was bought or hacked.  Risk Mgmt is now tagged.
8180  Other / Meta / Re: BAN AND FORBIDDEN REASON on: November 29, 2018, 12:10:54 PM
Dude, who are you kidding with that Darth0ne account?  It seems pretty obvious to me that you bought or hacked it based on the enormous gap in posting, suddenly coming back in 2018 as a bounty spammer and asking this:

I saw many people's account are hacked any how.My question is how can anyone hack accounts? And how we can protect our accounts? I don't know if this topic should be written here but i really need these answer.
....when anyone who'd been here for 4 years already would know all you need to know about protecting your account.  If you weren't already banned, I'd tag your account as bought or hacked and the other one as being an alt.

Curious to know what you got banned for, but I suspect I already know the answer to that.
