8161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which coin do you think is best for gambling? on: January 14, 2018, 10:47:30 AM
I personally prefer dogecoin and ethereum but these days ethereum also have network congestion and fee is really high so dogecoin is best right now.
I agree that eth is not doing very well and bitcoin is probably the worst coin for gambling due to high transaction fees one needs (usually) to pay to withdraw money. Doge has been the best in gambling for a long time. I think that's the only reason this coin is still alive and even manages to experience some pumps from time to time. However, for some gambling websites doge is not appropriate, since there are no smart contracts available.  At the same time, it is worth to use smart contracts, because it ensures scam-free gambling. In such cases it's better to use eth tokens like vsl.
8162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What about DeepOnion? HODL or SOLD on: January 14, 2018, 10:36:38 AM
I believe deep onion price will pump to $10-$20 like what happened to most of the altcoins last year. Once the available circulating supply rise in the market deep onion price will also rise. So for me its better to hodl.
Well, it's already between 10 and 20, you know, and I don't think it will rise a lot in the nearest future. This coin has not much to offer and the reason it stays on the market is that there are people using tor and using the coin as means of payment (do they?). I'm not saying it's bad but imo these kind of coins may rise slowly long-term, so I'm not sure whether it's worth it.
What is soeculation for DeepOnion?
Should I buy more or HODL or SOLD?
What profit did you make with the coin (if any)? If you lost some money then I suggest waiting and if you won at least 2x then sell 80% of it.
8163  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [Noob] $100 invested in ETH on: January 14, 2018, 10:15:01 AM
Hello guys! I hope you're all doing well!

I am new to the whole trading scene and I have invested about $100 and made a profit of $325 in ETH. Should I reinvest a sum of the profit into other cryptocurrencies? I have a few in mind. Should I hodl/hold it?
Well, I think a good advice is for you to withdraw initial investment ($100), hold some eth (another $100, perhaps) and buy other good coins for the rest of the money (if you're new I suggest ripple, ltc, waves and stratis).

This is pretty much how I see it: I have $325 it bumps up to $400. How do I take out that $75 profit before it falls back down to $325? Do I have to cash out the $400 then reinvest when it drops back to let us say $325 to make that $75 profit? Roll Eyes
There is a small window of opportunity to make a profit when it still rises. I just do not know how and where to do it

Yes, you just have to sell the coin at $400, leave $75 alone in the basic currency you use in trading (dollars or bitcoins, something from which you start every time) and buy the coin for $325 afterwards. It's not stupid, that's how trading works, but such high profit would be great luck IMO, it's not like it happens regularly.
8164  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is over trading a good idea? on: January 14, 2018, 10:01:09 AM
Is over trading a good idea? If not, why do you think it isn't? What are the pros and cons in over trading? Is it advisable u buy or sell your coin everytime you saw a slightly movement in the value of bitcoins?
Overtrading is about increasing the offer demand so much that one would not even manage to show the offer to cover it. I thought overtrading was in general a thing to avoid, since in this state you are supposed to earn profit but you're actually losing your capital. I don't think it's really possible in the world of cryptocurrencies though, maybe only with those which have very low marketcap and trading volume. I still don't understand why would anyone do that and how it is related to selling and buying coins when the price change is not significant.
8165  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think that bitcoin can reduce corruption? on: January 13, 2018, 05:29:52 PM
You guessed it right: they'd just ban it whenever they feel that the competition is getting tighter and stricter.
I think that's not the thing. Banning bitcoin will lower down a country's reputation, as cryptocurrencies are for the open and free society in economic realm. However, that doesn't mean btc will encourage transparency, as the currency is pseudonymous and is in fact a lot more suited to people who don't want to show their money than fiat. In my country some politicians already hold huge sums of btc and claim they've invested in them a lot earlier and this way people can't accuse them of having to much money (which is actually obviously there from corruption).
8166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: EOS, Chines version of ETH, just goes wild. on: January 13, 2018, 10:43:29 AM
EOS is considered to be the Chinese version of ETH, which surges by almost 40% in last 24 hours, do you know any details about this coin?
Wait, I thought we already had a Chinese eth and that was NEO. NEO has a good team and has already earned some respect and popularity, as it is easier to create icos on it than on eth. EOS is all about decentralized apps, as I can see. What's good about it is (at least that's what whitepaper maintains) that it's  easy to upgrade it and fix bugs (fixing a bug on eth is so hard, that it probably won't be done, as a hard fork must be invoked). 1.5 seconds to confirm a transaction is very nice as well. Perhaps this coin is not so bad and we'll see it rise even more.
8167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blackmoon crypto: hold or sell? on: January 13, 2018, 09:39:28 AM
The price is falling down right now, but I think it will rise again and then I'll withdraw my initial investment just like you guys suggest. I guess that's a good strategy for such cases.

I once thought of buying Blackmoon, but then the team seemed to have some bad rumors and the refund the tokens
People love fabricating rumours about projects and the ones that do that are probably just working for competitors' projects. I remember people posting that IOTA team is terrible and that there are some very bad rumours about it (yet I don't remember people mentioning what exactly was wrong) but the coin still went up 5x and I think the team is doing just fine. I guess blackmoon will have the same thing. If the rumours were true I believe there would be scam accusation posts as well as neg trust to the one leading the ANN thread.
8168  Economy / Gambling / Re: Steam Gambling - Service to create your own gambling website ! on: January 13, 2018, 09:16:49 AM
Your gallery links to image files. That's it.

Where's the interactive portfolio?
I agree that good samples of your works should be listed. And you probably should make a post in Services about the stuff you do. The images look very good and if you really designed those kinds of sites then perhaps you can indeed find some clients.
Another important thing is whether you've ever worked with cryptocurrencies, since I can see only dollars on the images and euros on the payment you accept. Do you even accept payments at least in bitcoins? If no then you probably won't find customers here, since people on this forum pay in cryptocurrencies.
8169  Economy / Gambling / Re: Finally a “Provably Safe” Bitcoin Gambling Guide | BitcoinGambling101.com ✅ on: January 13, 2018, 09:04:32 AM
BTCJohn, the website address seems a bit weird with this 101 in the end, but the design looks pretty good and the idea to share experience in certainly great. I think we need something like rates and comments on cafes on tripadvisor here, but related to casinos. I mean, you provide information about casinos and that's cool, but I think people should be able to rate the casinos and leave comments explaining the rates, not just make comments, you know. This way the list of the best casinos would be based on thoughts of all gamblers who rated them, not only on the opinion of your team (of course, you could make another casino list of 'bitcoingambling101 recommends' to share your professional views as well).
8170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I purchased PACCOIN in cryptopia on: January 12, 2018, 08:36:14 PM
I purchased PACCOIN in cryptopia..now it is showing below message. is it mean that they are not going to support this or we need to wait for some time to up back.
I am sorry if you were scammed just like people say above. PAC is listed on coinmarketcap and cryptopia is supposed to trade 60% of its volume within the last 24 hours according to their info. If you still can sell the coins, do that immediately not to lose your funds. However, I guess you can't do that now and who knows, maybe these people are not scammers after all, since they've been around for 4 years now and still have no neg trust and even provide updates, like the one below, which can be found in their ANN thread. It explains the message you're talking about:
PACcoin update

On Friday January 5th 2018, exactly one week ago, the enormous demand for PAC caused its main exchange (Cryptopia) to crash.
A bit more information about the last days and a bit more technical information regarding the upcoming coin redemption can be found here:
8171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etherdelta is a complete ripoff on: January 12, 2018, 08:29:06 PM
Banned? Lol. Actually, people should be banned for being crazy enough to use it. Everything costs too much but Etherdelta hides behind it calling it "gas" fees.

I didn't know about this issue, but it's surely bad if that's the case. I try to use more common exchanges not to find myself in such inconvenient situations. However, it all depends on how high the rates really are, since etherdelta is also a place of the prices which differ a lot from those on bigger exchanges. For example, I remember that once when blackmoon cost 70 cents it was $1.4 on etherdelta for about 10 minutes and if one had bmc there at that time I bet it was a great price to sell it even under high gas fees.
8172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Korea is getting ready to ban cryptocurrency trading. ruh roh on: January 11, 2018, 10:39:36 AM
It's funny how the English articles are all talking about outright bans when the Korean articles just say that he's trying to write a law to prevent "speculation and gambling on exchanges."
In any case, it will take some time for them to draft a law and we will see if it can even happen.
Exactly. South Korea is kind of a democratic country and Koreans are really strong in trading. They can make a big difference for bitcoin cash, ripple and cause some change to bitcoin. I don't think the government can just stop all that. And besides, bitfinex is one of the biggest exchanges. They should make a small (1% in KRW) taxation from the income of exchange owners and everyone will be happy. Attempts to close it will result in huge amounts of money being moved from the state and intellectuals being angry.
8173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Blackmoon crypto: hold or sell? on: January 11, 2018, 10:22:43 AM
So I bought blackmoon for $0.75 per coin some time ago. I bought it, because I thought the team was strong and their aim to make cryptocurrencies absolutely legal and easy-to-use by people as well as their strong advertising campaign impressed me. It was mainly going down since I bought it but I kept calm and waited for it to rise. Now blackmoon is worth $2.26, so I already have 3x profit, which is pretty cool, I guess. Do you think it will rise more within a month or two, or is it better to sell the coins now at such profit rate?
8174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A thought on casinos on: January 11, 2018, 10:08:35 AM

Would it be possible to implement a PRNG in the transaction script in such a way that the payouts are automated to the winner of a gambling game?
I am not sure whether this solution is possible, but why make your life harder with pseudo-random stuff? Is the aim to ensure that casino will pay the one who won? If it is then a very good solution is smart contracts. The casino can simply make a contract under which their funds will automatically be transferred to those who won the money and thus ensure scam-free environment. Of course, one needs to use appropriate coins to do that (not btc) like ethereum (or its token) or byteball, but I don't think that is a big problems.
8175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are you hodling for 2018? on: January 11, 2018, 09:52:16 AM
If I were to choose which coins I am going to #HODL for 2018, here are the following:

*Electroneum (will mine a lot of ETNs once the mobile miner is officially launched)
*Tron (will plan to buy more because I feel that the current numbers in my portfolio aren't good enough yet)
*Dogecoin (because I believe it will fly due to the year of the dog despite developers are inactive)
*LoyalCoin (still under ICO but I'm planning to buy more and #HODL them for a long while)
*SiaCoin (haven't bought yet, but I'm having plans to buy and hold them)
*Digitex (they're dubbing this as the next Electroneum, so I'm all in)

I am not sure regarding the others, but I'm mixing the short and long-term coins that I'm going to #HODL for long.
Εlectroneum is indeed very promising, I am waiting for it to be listed on normal exchanges where I could just transfer some money into it. I don't like dealing with new exchanges. Doge is still good, but I think it will inevitably die slowly.
As for me, I am holding blackmoon (already have 3x profit, but I'm not sure whether it's the right time to sell), litecoin, ripple (I bought it rather high and now my investment is down, but I believe eventually ripple will bring me good money) and iota (my favourite coin of all, strongly believe it will show its power to the world).
8176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you rather have 100 ETH or have 1M token worth also $100k on: January 09, 2018, 11:49:17 AM

I'm just thinking of whether which token to keep if you are in my shoe right now. Lets say you have 1M token which is worth  $100K but is gradual in the development so yoU have a chance to move your tokens to ETH and to just retain as is. Which would you choose?
I think among these options it's better to choose eth, but I would just transfer money into some other coin instead, since eth already made many people lose their investments (including me, though in my case it was a scam wallet, so it's not eth to blame). I'm surprised people stopped talking about parity even though there are no major updates on the situation and 500,000 eth is still there frozen! I would keep my money in bitcoin (if the aim is just to keep it safe) or in litecoin (to earn small profit).
8177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALTCOINS with no WHITEPAPER getting huge PUMPs???? on: January 09, 2018, 11:34:46 AM
Very simple. Shitcoins that have no whitepaper and almost no development trades on small exchanges with a very small daily trading volume. You can buy this coin from yourself and sell it to yourself. This way you can make any price you want, having not a big amount of money
Yes, I think that's the way things are done. And if a company has sufficient funds, it's kind of a good move to create a false interest in the coin, pump it superhard, because then people of the exchanges will see how successful this coin is and notice something they wouldn't have the slightest idea about before. Yet I think that in the end it doesn't make a coin worth more money, since there are many such sudden pumps, people got used to them already.
8178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can myetherwallet get hacked? on: January 09, 2018, 11:02:14 AM
Hi, i have backupped my pvkeys on an usb stick. I wrote it also down on a piece of paper. My computer broke. I put a metal pin through the harddrives. I will not buy a new pc soon. So i wont check in on myetherwallet for some time. I cant click on phishing links. My question is : are my funds safe? Can myetherwallet get hacked? Can my funds dissapear even when i have no computer, hid my keys? Im to stupid to work with a ledger or trezor. Can something happen to it like with the parity/kill?
Do you have your private keys written somewhere on your computer? If only on paper and usb then definitely no. If there's a file where it's all written then it could've been hacked, but only while you have access to the Internet, I guess. As your pc broke, I think it's very unlikely. Yet, the last thing you mention, parity stuff, - nobody is safe from that, since that's not scamming or anything but problems with eth code and that's always a danger to one's funds in eth. But don't worry, mew is the best eth wallet, I think it's the safest place for your money anyway.
8179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Celebrity Bitcoin owners? on: January 09, 2018, 10:51:08 AM
The introduction of celebrities in bitcoin is a clear example of the boom and growing popularity of a technology ..
Yes. I don't know about celebrities, but in my country politicians are obliged to make e-declarations stating all the money, jewelry and real estate they possess. As our country is full of corruption and politicians are extremely rich, they transfer their money in bitcoin and put in e-declarations, stating afterwards that they bought btc when it was worth almost nothing and that's why they now have all that money. That's a smart way of using btc, I guess. And it's still good for bitcoin, since it shows people trusting it.
8180  Economy / Gambling / Re: Make Win In Dice Through Smart Playing In 5 Minutes And Transfer Your Win Back on: January 09, 2018, 10:38:16 AM
Well, first of all:
1) we need good & safe gambling site;
2) then we transfer some altcoin - for example, Doge for fast transaction, let say 500 000 Doge balance.
And now we can do something for nice win ? I think for fast win, we can make chance of win 49.95, with double bet, when loose, and starting bet 1 Doge or 0.1 Doge, in manual mode. So after 5 minutes, in one or two sets we have nice win, so transfer your Doge balance with win back to your wallet !!! Congratulations !!!
As said above, this strategy is very popular and is called martingale. The thing is that, unfortunately, people rely on it too much and it is known to have made gamblers lose a lot of money. The reason is that sometimes you can have, say, 10 times the same result on 50/50 probability. And that's when eventually your balance is rapidly going down and you lose everything, unable to double the bet once more to win.
I would say it's safer to bet high amounts of money with 90% win probability instead.
