Ragazzi, antminer s1: https://bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020140107162747992Ce5uBuxW06D6

8162  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.999 BTC for 180GH/s on: March 11, 2014, 06:51:19 AM
crap...that psu above only has one 6 pin pie...well threre's another tethered to it, but it doesn't reach. I'mm guessing it wouldn't matter because the 2nd one would need it's own, right?

There other connector it has is a cpu molex...two four-in connectors with yellow on the clip side. Can this help me?
Do I simply extend the other tethered six pin

There's another sata cable that has for 4 pin flat molex...i have an adapter that can turn that into a six...should I use that?

What brand and model of psu?
If has a good amperage on the 12V line, maybe you can consider to put a molex->pci-ex

S2 is coming within 7 days!? I do hope S2 will go with 28nm, otherwise we will hardly earn profits from them.

S2 has been confirmed early April, and yes 28NM or 55NM with new design and cooling + power

Cheers

where has been confirmed?

Ciao Federico, benvenuto, provo a risponderti sulle domande pertinenti all'argomento, per quelle off topic ti consiglio di anzitutto cercare se nel forum sono già state trattate, e infine di aprire un thread dedicato per quelle a cui non hai trovato risposta.

- metto soldi (quanti? 5€? 10€? 50€? 100€?)

I guadagni arrivano ogni venerdì

However we desperately need a 1 TH+ box soon, as the difficulty is at a point where it becomes unmanageable for the average retail miner to keep 10+ ants running in their house.  Hope bitmain has something in the works.

You wont have to wait long for the S2!

Won't have to wait long like BFL or more like this month?

Any price estimations?

S1: 0.7
S2 (1thash): 3.5

But the top would be if the s2 will have 28nm chip and power consumption below 1watt/ghash
8166  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.999 BTC for 180GH/s on: March 10, 2014, 08:57:47 PM
we have to give major props to bitmain for  1) producing stable well designed hardware 2) well priced 3) solid track record of delivery as promised.

He single handily kept the asic hardware price down and prevent those shady outfits like BFL from continue to scam the bitcoin community. Right now there is absolutely no point ordering any of those preorders considering the price/GH ant is able to deliver.

BFL and those preorder companies must really hate him.

However we desperately need a 1 TH+ box soon, as the difficulty is at a point where it becomes unmanageable for the average retail miner to keep 10+ ants running in their house.  Hope bitmain has something in the works.

Totally agree with you

If before 2014 the only way to buy potential profitable asic was to place a preorder and took a leap of faith, now bitmain has completely changed the rules in the asic buisness.

Preorder, at least for me, currently is totally nosense.

Is someone looking to sell his coupons?

Can someone please point me in the right direction for the best thread on how to power this puppy?

Just got the S1 today and also got the following power supply:

EVGA 600B 80PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V/EPS12V Active PFC 600W Power Supply 100-B1-0600-KR
http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-80PLUS-Bronze-Certified-100-B1-0600-KR/dp/B00EON40CS/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1394461405&sr=1-1&keywords=power+supply

1) Am I going to need more than what it comes with?
2) I plan on buying another...could this power both or do i need to power another?
3) Is there a guide for dummies on how to hook up? I only have easy miners like avalons and such....I'm having a hard time understanding other instruction threads and they all give different advice

Thanks

Danny

You will need a paper clip to jumper the psu to turn it on.
No, you cannot power 2 AntminerS1's from a 600W psu.

All I have to do is the jumper? I don't have to cut and splice pci wires and all that?

No, becouse now S1 has two pci-ex

Bitmain may be bluffing us  Grin But I am sure S2 is 1Th/s and also improved cooling system and power I have been told Smiley and yeah start in April.

S3 must be 28nm what they were talking to me about.

All will be reviled soon Smiley

Can we expect like 2 kW of power consumption (cuz they are using same s1 55nm chips, correct)?

8172  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.999 BTC for 180GH/s on: March 10, 2014, 05:10:15 PM
Now the total hashrate is 30 petahash: http://allchains.info/

So 30*0.2= 6 petahash

An S1 produces 180ghash

So 6000000/180=33333 ants S1

And also, if we put an average power consumption of 400watts/S1, currently the power consumption of this bunch of antminers is a little over 13 megawatts

"A Clearing Agency hold was placed on the trailer containing your shipment." --- Balls...

Did this happen to any of you guys and how long does it take for the custom officers to release the packages?

Never happened to me, what country?
8180  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S2 Speculation thread on: March 10, 2014, 10:08:51 AM
Speaking to a supplier in China who buys from Bitmain local production facility said it's top secret project but has been hinted that there will be 2 models released 1Th/s and a 2Th/s model.

As always this is speculation but I can imagine this will be the case due to keep up with difficulty and other competitors.

If going by the other results of the U2 Bitmain will release details  a week today and following sales that week for dispatch on the 31st to go in line with the U2

Will be great if they'll be able to keep the power consumption below 1w/ghash
