8163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To quit gambling is to quit yourself on: March 15, 2018, 03:12:40 PM
When it's too much, addiction is getting worst that can lead gamblers to commit suicide because of the stress that it gives with their everyday life. Imagining on how many losses you've made and you are feeling sorry about it. If you don't value your life, you will think of this crazy act and people nowadays are really different from the usual years that we've been living before. They are valuing much their money but not their lives.  Undecided

I have personally never had any problem of any addiction in my life (lucky me so to speak) so I cant comment on that matter. But I have seen people whose lives have been ruined by gambling and also those families who have suffered because of bad habits of gamblers in their family. Those who gamble need to have a control over their habits and not let the emotional drive get the upper hand.

Suicide from gambling loss is something new to me. Never heard of such cases in my vicinity but yes emotional stress can lead to many bad outcomes. However its important to control it. Thats all that can be done.
8164  Other / Meta / Re: Two suggestions regarding Merit on: March 15, 2018, 03:03:04 PM
1. The process of sending merit seems a bit annoying. You've to go through another web-page and select number of merit to be sent and then send it. IMO, it'd be better if it could be sent just by clicking "+Merit" button right within the thread.
If I recall correctly, somebody posted here about this before you did and they had developed some add-on something for this. Which will lead to a popup for sending merits - not a complete new page for it.

EDIT - found it was posted in this thread already - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2833350.0

Also what you are saying implies a fixed amount of merit to every click of the +merit button. You should clarify this in OP.

Quote
2. It'd be much better if you guys allow only one merit by the merit-sender per post. This will reduce fake-merit-exchange or fake-merit-giving. There're people sending tens of their merits to a single post which clearly seems like something fishy.
Are you saying that only one person can merit a post? After that nobody can merit it? If thats what you mean to say then I disagree to this. Many threads and posts here are worth meriting and they deserve merits.

Also isnt it indirectly allowing alt-rings to get caught? Wink

hi sir, would you like to review my two posts?
is this worth to merit? and if not, please get directions so I can make a better post. Thank you in advance

8165  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Bitcoin become a long-term trusted store of value? on: March 15, 2018, 02:57:05 PM
I do not know what will happen next with bitcoin , but I bought it and hope that it will rise in price.

Well you can hold it and watch the market. A safe bet would be to make a stop/loss target and sell accordingly. Currently market is red and bitcoin is sinking so not a good time to sell if you bought at higher price.

Bitcoin is the trust one for very long period. Many people investing their money in Crypto and become a millionaire.Do you know one thing even a millionaire are investing their money in bitcoin. If you keep your money,it will reduce by spending for your needs. But if you invested in bitcoin, you will get more from it.

What do you mean by "trust one"? Its the number one - yes? Is it trusted - technically not everyone since trust is a subjective term. Is it safe - yes it is. But seriously you shitposters need to stop doing this type of posts here trying to increase posts. Bitcoin is not a get-rich quick method. Its a currency - get that into your head first.
8166  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Try to recover loss on: March 15, 2018, 02:48:49 PM
ok. this is also a good choice. but to do this, you have to have a good knowledge. how can you do which coin will recover soon in this dropping market? Do you have enough information to give decision? i hope that you can find the anwsers
Totally depends on what FUD the market is buying into. If they are telling about pumping some shitcoin and you already possess that coin in some sort of holding then that coin is going up. So make your trading orders such that you can reap some money from that. Remember, shitcoins will remain shitcoins, target of pump and dump. But bitcoin is eternal.

I think only way is just waiting for now. Losses are heavy for me, but I'm optimistic about this. I think I'll recover my losses, it's just that I don't know when.
I wonder how much losses you are considering as "Heavy". Because its relative for every person and if you think its too heavy then its better to dump and the next rise and then leave the market.
8167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens when Bitcoin reaches its Max Supply? on: March 15, 2018, 02:44:21 PM
It's not worth again for mining, even the transaction fee will rise. If the transaction fee is increased to the max people will quit from bitcoin and change to altcoin like bitcoin cash or something, and the miner will quit from bitcoin mining because miner will get ROI longer than usually and the bitcoin price will crash until maybe $100 or $50. In other words it is bitcoin doomsday.

Look mate you are getting it all wrong ab possibly this is the effect people get after reading a lot of r/bitcoin or r/btc subreddits. Bitcoin mining does not work like that. Considering majority of miners stopped mining then the profit of mining will be distributed among those who are still mining and the difficulty will decrease. Also the hashpower which is currently in use by the miners, who would continue in this hypothetical situation would compensate for a large profit.

It is not about bitcoin cash which is a shill-pumped trashcoin made by a liar like Rogver. Bitcoin is here to stay copycats will die.
8168  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Try to recover loss on: March 14, 2018, 05:22:37 PM
Previous few month we see all altcoin price is decrease. So at this time how I recover my loss.I decided one think,I want to sell my all altcoin now.And try to start trade and recovery again. It's possible? Can I do this.Tell me your opinion, can do or not?
it is better not to sell your assets at the time of the fall, now it's good to buy

Selling assets when they are dropping would be panic selling. Now FUD may force a person to panic sell which is manipulation of public and which is one of the main essence of the FUD that is normally spread. People who fall for the FUD will face the aftermath.

-snip-

Fix your caps lock button mate.

Previous few month we see all altcoin price is decrease. So at this time how I recover my loss.I decided one think,I want to sell my all altcoin now.And try to start trade and recovery again. It's possible? Can I do this.Tell me your opinion, can do or not?

Can you tell us what coins is it? Depending on the coins you are trading, if that is just a pump and dump coin its better to cut your loss and start a new one to make profit. If that is bitcoins, ethereum or any other coin that is good in long term trade, its better to hold it because it will recover anytime soon.

For bitcoin and ethereum I would hodl for now till the market settles. There has been ups and downs this year from the beginning and thus hodling would be safer than selling. But obviously this is for the crypto-lovers and not the ones who panic sell.
8169  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we need price crashes and panic selloffs on: March 14, 2018, 05:17:13 PM
For me those both situations only make market better for investors to just catch some coins at good prices for trade or just hodl next months.

True but also consider the fact that bitcoin is main source of money for buying an altcoin. If bitcoin price drops then the value of the altcoin drops too. Those who want to buy that altcoin need to be careful at what price they are buying otherwise they will not be able catch when they drop.

It can lead to a price reduction that is not suspected tampa that we realize must be careful in selling it by waiting for prices to rise ,,, can be seen every hour if you want to get a big profit never follow a friend to sell it.

Unless you do a very in depth minute-to-minute analysis its not possible to make cash for every small pump and dump that may happen. Of course if you talk about personal peer-to-peer trading then its a different issue.
8170  Other / Meta / Re: Merits for Constructive Opinion on: March 14, 2018, 05:09:04 PM
Hi folks! I am certain that my opinions through my posts are indeed constructive and viable to some members. I am stuck at Junior Member rank. I'm still posting enough to add it to my activity but it seems I'm never gonna rank up. How will be able to obtain merits? What mostly topics should be discussed?

See if you believe that your posts are constructive and are worthy of getting merits, then dont think about merits at all. Simply post like you normally would and you will get some merits at times.

I have gone through you post history and I have one suggestion for you. Stop posting in the Bitcoin Discussion too much. Maybe you are new to crypto which is why you are posting there or getting to know about bitcoin in a better fashion. Gradually try to diversify your knowledge in crypto and start posting across other sections of the forum, but dont shitpost to increase post count.

Dont run after merits. It will come to you automatically at one point at the least expected time.
8171  Other / Meta / Re: Does merit really helping the forum. on: March 14, 2018, 05:02:58 PM
Merit simply completely closed the entrance to the beautiful world of crypto-currencies for the novice generation.
FYI I would say the the world of crypto is full of scammers and thus its not "beautiful" but very similar to the real world. The context of  "beautiful" also varies from one person to another. For your case its "money" that matters most which is evident from your post.

And in no way solves the problems for which it was introduced!
It does, which is exactly why you made this comment.

The administration should review the main objectives of Meritt and come up with something better if they have the support of the entire forum, at least those who are unhappy with this development!
The only one unhappy is you. Because you cant rank up now by simply shitposting the forums. Hope you find better methods to make money from and leave this forum.
8172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The end of the banks due to bitcoin on: March 14, 2018, 04:54:12 PM
Crypto-currencies exist only virtually and I do not print anybody in real life. It is created in the process of mining.moment requires large computing powers of the computer plus Moreover, over time, the complexity of production constantly grows.

Did you copy paste this from some bitcoin wiki or so? This is generic shitpost and everyone knows this and the people talking about these are the shitposter trying to increase activity. This is in no way related to the discussion of the OP.

that is impossible. Because bitcoin has a limited value. Bitcoins are being monitored closely by many countries.

Although bitcoin has a limited "supply" but the problem is that banks print as many currency notes (minting) as they want leading to deflation is due course. But bitcoin price will increase due to increasing population adoption and and limited supply.

Bitcoin is being monitored by they cannot control it.
8173  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Clouds are the best? on: March 13, 2018, 02:53:39 PM
For some people they might agree with you but for me I have had my fingers burnt severally with cloud mining service.  Things might have change in the delivery of services and potential profit of these services.  I think I  will check and invest a little to see how it is going these days.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Cloud mining is not an investment into some real farm that is associated with mining in most cases (except a few legit ones). Most of the ones we can find on the OP are disguised ponzis/HYIP/MLM schemes which are used to scam people.

Those who invest early into them get good returns which is actually recycled money form the late investors. As long as the ponzi cycle continues this will continue making the people fall into a delusional trap that they are actually getting returns - but in reality at one time the ponzi will collapse and then the recent investors will have a big loss while older investors (who may be aware of what going on) will have en-cashed and ran away long ago.
8174  Other / Meta / Re: I just want to ask about merit on: March 13, 2018, 02:48:27 PM
I'm newbie too . my activities does not up anymore

Are you some impatient that you check your activity everyday every minute of your life? If you do then you need treatment because this is obssession of this forum, which not only you but hundreds of other pajeet shitposters are having as well.

I recommend we start a mental clinic for these people who are crying about merit and not willing to contribute the forum and ranking up is what they are only interested in.

8175  Other / Meta / Re: Introduce a "Up vote & Down vote" system instead of the "Merit" system on: March 13, 2018, 02:41:19 PM
you are wrong

/thread

Then please correct me sir

You understand the fact that this forum is filled with trolls and people who dont give a shit about others?

Do you know that this forum is full of shitposters who are trying their best to get some merits by making threads like this and hoping some kind-hearted merit source to rain some merits on them?

Do you know that the forum is plagued by shitposters from every corner of this world who try to get into signature campaigns just for a few bucks everyday?

An upvote/downvote system will be abused to everyone who makes a radical comment on another persons thread and thus have a bad effect on the forum environment.
8176  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is negative trust working? on: March 13, 2018, 02:37:03 PM
Also "Shitposter" is not a warrant for negative trust anymore - it was transient for sometime in the past few months. (Lets not talk about that incident)

I was talking about this exact situation and why people need to given a chance. If that is changed as you are stating then there is no more validation required here.

And why is a scammer even allowed to a part of the forum even after getting a negative rating. Its the same as allowing a murderer to roam around the streets even after he is found guilty by law. I don't promote scamming but a scammer doesn't even deserve a negative rating and should be banned at once for his actions. This is followed a lot in other forums (Not naming any).

People dont need to be given any chance. Being liberal is accepting a scammer for future as "not a scammer". The forum policies are very clear, make some attempt to cheat some campaigns and you will be marked with a red tag.

Also being a scammer to someone is relative, even if the DT rating are based on some legitimacy that the DT is trustworthy - but many have gone rogue in the past years and thus changes are needed. Again moderators/admins dont ban scammers, you have to be careful of them or in this case managers need to scrutinize those whom they recruit as campaigners.

8177  Economy / Economics / Re: Where Will The Digital Economy Take Us? on: March 13, 2018, 02:33:28 PM
What will happen with Blockchain technology in the next 50 years?

Well it could be said that blockchain could be the one in the most useful innovation in all time. It could be the easiest way to  transact and could be versatile in different criteria in market.

Blockchain is not a magic pill that will change the course of history or the course of future. It all depends on how people are reacting to new things and whether they are accepting or neglecting it.

What will happen with Blockchain technology in the next 50 years?

Blockchain technology, have great potential in the future. Beside as cryptocurrency, blockchain technology can use for many purpose. I think blockchain technology will more evolve and have many advantages in the future.
How will it evolve? I understand you have zero knowledge of blockchain and development. It already has many advantages and its not the sole thing in the digital economy which this thread is about. In future more crypto may appear but the one which will survive is the one which is radical in bringing about changes to present economic system.
8178  Other / Meta / Re: It's all about merits. on: March 12, 2018, 02:26:39 PM
Nope, you did not misread it. However, not only merits can make you rank up, but also the activity. This forum's policy has gone through a big change regarding adding the merit system which most of people disagree with. But I consider it as a way to make users improve the quality of their posts. Added to that, you seem a bit annoyed with the new system. Do not worry, pal. I am sure you will get your account ranked up soon enough.

Technically the bolded part is wrong. Both merit and activity is needed to rank up. Previously activity was the sole determinant of the rank of the member. Now both of them are needed, only activity raising wont get you a new rank, you need to reach the corresponding merit too.

Consider this like a demarcation between those who actually post quality content and make thoughtful discussions on a thread rather than people who simply agree to every post. The former deserves merit on at least a few of their posts while the later do not. Thus they will lead the ranks and would be properly marked as "elderly" members of the forum.
8179  Other / Meta / Re: Why is it so hard to earn merits?? on: March 12, 2018, 02:18:40 PM
I think it is necessary to make updates of this system with the aim that no good post does not get merit
so that no more complaints anywhere and also so that no party losers

Why dont you stop visiting this forum? I know its not possible for you to do that since "shitposting on bitcointalk" is a daily quota allotment for you now. You are addicted to this forum - face it Pajeet. You need to get a life and get a job, fast. Oh wait, you obviously cant, thats why you shitposters are in this forum.

Yes it is really hard to earn merits. And you need a large value of merits for your rank to goes up, maybe someday the admn will make a reform about the merits system

Dream on shitposters, Dream on. Cool

And, NEWBIE also JR. MEMBER come here not as BOUNTER HUNTER like BEFORE. BUT, Become MERIT HUNTER.SILLY
Make a thousand thread in EVERY Board about merit and most of it just complaining. Well, if you are not Hunter in this Forum, any rank doesn't matter for your participation.
Closed

Agreed, if you are posting here with the "Merit Hunter" conception, then face it - you will be considered as a passive merit beggar and wont get any merits from doing so.
8180  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is negative trust working? on: March 12, 2018, 02:14:10 PM
To ensure that trust actually works and means something, shouldn't the campaigns which accept participants of negative trust be not allowed on this forum?

Why shouldn't they be allowed? Just because a person has a negative trust it doesn't mean he is a scammer or a shit poster. They might be tagged for various other reasons or maybe due to butt hurting a DT member.  Seeing the current state of the DT and the members raising accusations to remove some other member I don't see any point in trusting the system.

LOL the number of idiots in this forum who dont know a thing about how the forum works always keeps increasing. Negative trust from DT is given when they fell that person may be associated with attempting a scam or potential scammer. Again those who abuse campaigns and giveaways using alt accounts will receive negative trust.

Managers often maintain own trust list which maybe modified according to their need. I am sure more "sane" managers would like to look into the trust ratings and clarify if that rating is due to a personal dispute/butthurt feedback or not.

Also "Shitposter" is not a warrant for negative trust anymore - it was transient for sometime in the past few months. (Lets not talk about that incident)
