8161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: will omg price $50 end of 2017? on: October 12, 2017, 07:31:18 AM
I would like to think positive yet practical and realistic. OmiseGo may be a coin worth investing. It is also a good project which is entirely functioning. The team as well are as good and creative. But to say that OMG will hit the price of $50 within the end part of 2017 is a bit dreamy. Why don't we just start aiming $15 or $20?  Wink Or you can go up to $25 because 2017 will be ending 3 months later.
8162  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fiat currency vs cryptocurrency on: October 12, 2017, 05:44:54 AM
In forex, it is known that you trade currency pairs i.e. EUR/USD or AUD/JPY etc. Can a fiat currency be traded against a cryptocurrency, like for example having a pair like BTC/JPY or CAD/ETH?

I have not heard of any that really offered such kind of exchanges. There may be crypto (which is mostly limited to BTC, ETH, LTC) vs. USD or Euro or Pound but when it comes to JPY, CAD, AUD, and the rest of fiat currencies, there are none that I know of. Only the major fiat currencies in the world are catered. But, again, I am not sure and I am interested to know also. I am using Bittrex, Etherdelta, Poloniex. I have not come across such kind of trade pairs.
8163  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next 5 year for Bitcoin on: October 12, 2017, 04:39:16 AM
after release bitcoin 9 years running. but bitcoin increasing or increasing.so anyone have good opinion for next five year about bitcoin? feel freee and drop your opinion.
thanks

The ride would be a lot similar to the previous 9 years of existence of Bitcoin. The same ups and downs along the charts but the general movement would still be following an upward direction just like what we re experiencing now. There might be another SegWit and fears would likely be accumulated resulting to a little recession that would again be followd by another bullish charge. And the value would likely be reaching $ 50,000 per BTC.
8164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Staking Coin Consume Much Electricity on: October 12, 2017, 03:35:03 AM
Say you have a PC on 24/7 anyways and you decide to use it to stake about 10 coins.  Can I expect my electricity bill to be any higher than had I not been staking?

I don't think so. Well, your electricity bill will of course rise because you need to turn your computer and internet on for 24/7, but only a little. Staking is not that complicated. But if you are planning to be opening several computer units for larger stakes, then the bigger your electric consumption would be.
8165  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: October 12, 2017, 02:54:58 AM
We should have Bitcoins and Cash at this point in time. The world will not run with Bitcoin alone at this moment of time. Although we are going there, that point is still too far away. The world of commerce may have converted to cashless transactions gradually, but cash is still the one providing fuel to it. I am just happy that crypto especially Bitcoin is also growing along with this situation.
8166  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Falling...Is it Panic Time? on: October 12, 2017, 02:02:38 AM
Bitcoin falling is buying time. That is much better and true. Panic time is for the newbies, for the beginners, for the emotional, for the weak hands. It will not do us any good if we are too afraid to buy during red season. Blood dripping from bitcoin is life for the investors and bitcoin supporters because we all know that bitcoin will recover.
8167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Air Drops - How to tell if one is Authentic or a Scam? on: October 12, 2017, 01:13:27 AM
Does anyone have advice on how to distinguish authentic airdrops from scams?

Airdrops presenting themselves as mere airdrop is nothing but shit. Leave it and use your time to do some other more productive things. Airdrops should present themselves not just another set of shit tokens. There should be a project, complete with a vision and a plan. They should also present a detailed roadmap. Look at the token supply as well and how much of it is given through the airdrop.
8168  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I stop Buying BTC? on: October 11, 2017, 11:25:06 PM
Should I stop buying BTC for above market value or should I start paying the listed price? I support Bitcoin and still pay 5k a BTC does anyone see bitcoin going back up?

Why do you pay 5K per BTC? I don't get it. But either way, buying BTC right now is a good decision. There will be more and more pumps before the end of 2017 comes. It is most probable that by the time Bitcoin Gold comes out, another round of pump will happen for Bitcoin. And then by the season days in December as well as during the transition between December 2017 and January 2018, another round of pump will probably happen.
8169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCH bleeding death? on: October 11, 2017, 02:39:02 PM
Bitcoin Cash came from the same ledger as the original currency, Bitcoin owners were issued Bcash upon the split. But many have sold off their new digital cash to chase after Bitcoin and its newfound potential.BCH is currently trading at above 300$ and it was above 500$ before a month ago.As the invester sold off their BCH ,its dumped badly , if anybody have it I think he should hold for long time.

When Bitcoin Cash was distributed but was not yet allowed to be dumped, the price was really high, considering that it was not accepted very well by the big diehard fans of bitcoin. The backers of Bitcoin Cash were large whales especially miners. But then when the dumping starts, Bitcoin Cash went spiraling down. I guess holding it longer will only mean lower value. I prefer dumping BCH rather than holding.
8170  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you expect a crash soon ? Or you see bitcoin keep climbing ? on: October 11, 2017, 10:26:12 AM
There will be no bitcoin crash in the next half a decade at least. There may be several number of SegWit and SegWit2x along the way in lieu of a crash. Crash sounds very serious and even fatal to me. I am certain that the core, the miners, the investors and traders, and all of us will never ever allow that to happen. We will support Bitcoin always.
8171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: best new airdrop on: October 11, 2017, 09:42:12 AM
There are now so many airdrops. More than 90% of all these airdrops are useless. Tokens can be made so easily. Anyone of us can create our own tokens. We can name one token after our father's name and another one on our mother's name, and even one on our cat's name. That is why regularly following airdrops is simply a waste of time. I am not saying you do not join any, but for god's sake do not just stay there the whole day sitting down in front of your PC waiting for another airdrop.
8172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I did it! Traveling with Bitcoin and $100 only on: October 11, 2017, 08:59:40 AM
My journey started on Sep 21, from Boston to NYC, flight to Egypt then Turkey, back to Boston! Carrying $100 just in case and 3 bitcoins in my wallet!

Fuck If I will ever carry credit card, or cash any more:

1- I used Localbitcoins for cash! Search for best local currency rate!
2- How much I save from credit card fees and Fiat exchanges: $305.
3- Is it save to deal with Localbitcoins in person overseas? Yes, so amazing nice guys, you are making friends Smiley

You should try it! & $100 stayed with me! and I spent less than 1.9 btc in both countries!!!

That means to confirm that you still need fiat in order for you to be able to survive when travelling especially to territories you are not quite familiar with. Bitcoin alone does not suffice for now. But I am very happy to hear that there are sites in which you can easily convert your bitcoin into the local fiat currency.
8173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does China hate Bitcoin? on: October 11, 2017, 07:43:20 AM
This is pretty much the whole story right here...

Quote
" NIFA official Li Lihui told a technology conference in Shanghai on Friday that a goal of China’s monetary regulation is to ensure that “the source and destination of every piece of money can be tracked.” "

Bitcoin is the mortal enemy of 'tracking'.  Therefore China is going to continue to assault Bitcoin from every angle.  You can be sure of that.

What do you mean? Each and every transaction of bitcoin can be tracked. This is one feature of bitcoin that made it to the top. Transparency is there, transactions are in full view of anyone who wishes to check. The blockchain will always present us where the money goes and where it comes from. It's just that there is also anonymity, meaning to say what you can see are wallet addresses and not names of people.
8174  Local / Altcoin Announcements (Pilipinas) / Re: [PH][ANN][ICO][PCC]First platform for adult services on: October 05, 2017, 11:30:58 AM
Ang dami namang supply nang pCC para sa ICO hanggang kelan matatapos ang ICO para alam ko po. Parang gusto kong mag invest sa project ba ito dahil may potential siyang makilala in the future. So mas maganda kung mag iinvest nang maaga . More investor to come with this project para lalo siyang maging successful.

8176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] GRAVIO Ecosystem - Everything is connected | FINISHED! on: September 28, 2017, 11:52:18 AM
Hello dev. I need help about my wallet. It is not syncing anymore but it says "12 days behind." It also says "No block source available."

Does anybody here experience the same?

Thank you very much!

I connect seamlessly. Make sure you are using the latest version. There were config file settings in the site.

How did you do it, bro? Could you be so kind enough to instruct us here how? Considering that I am not the only one who is experiencing the same problem.

Many thanks!  Smiley

what wallet version are you using?    I am using version Graviocoin Core v0.1.7.0-7836eac (64-bit), I have no connection problems. Take a backup of your wallet and install this version(v0.1.7.0-7836eac).

Many thanks, my friend! I would rather save myself from any more trouble and use the web wallet instead. It is way easier.  Wink

Devs, please change my wallet to this one: 2MpBth1hzCcobxYnzEtvy29nNEXbqCSKeV5

Thank you very much!

This project is so great that it is willing to pay promptly as well as with an increase in bounties even if the ICO did not sell out as good as it should be.   Smiley
