Such a thing would be useful for reporting chronic shitposters/spammers instead of the now-tedious method of reporting each piece of shit post one-by-one.  I used to be a bit passionate about visiting Bitcoin Discussion/Altcoin Discussion and reporting garbage posts and then checking profiles to see if that was a pattern, but it's far too time-consuming.  A simple "report profile" would be nice, and then a mod could do a quick check of a member's post history.  Usually you can just look at the first page and conclude whether someone is a bounty spammer or not.

Men and women are extremely different, which is something that this new wave of feminism seems to want to ignore.  I'd love to hear jokes about the #metoo movement and any other thing that would offend me.  I love racist jokes.  I love jokes about white people, fat people, crippled people, jokes about afflictions or characteristics I have.

Agree 100% with that and the rest of your post.  In addition, this is from a crypto news site, which means you really shouldn't put much stock in statements like this.  Of course they're going to tell you not to sell.  That would be like Kitco telling people they ought to be dumping all of their gold & silver--it's never going to happen.

However, despite what I just wrote I also agree that now is a bad time to be selling bitcoin.  I happen to agree with the sentiment, but not because of what some media-proclaimed "experts" are saying but because I think the bull market is just taking an extended breather and will resume its upward trajectory.  But that's just my opinion, and my hope, and you shouldn't take that as anything other than some random internet guy's words.

I tagged 33bitcoin and blocksminer based on those scam accusations, which were never addressed--even though some of the e-mail/chat provided in the scam accusations is flimsy.  If either one of them can refute the scam claims, I'll remove those feedbacks.

This argument between Rambotnic and therealfalcon is just stupid.  First off, it sounds like therealfalcon is either overreacting to having some time wasted (welcome to the world) or is outright lying.  I'd like to see what evidence he has in the form of PM logs and such with Rambotnic.  I'd also like to see more solid evidence that therealfalcon is an alt account of 33bitcoin and/or blocksminer.  From what was posted here, I'm not convinced.

Dude, I didn't even know the Yobit campaign was still runnning!  I have sigs blocked, but I have noticed your personal message and I think I once asked you if you were still in the campaign but don't recall if I got a reply.  I could have imagined that anyway, or it could have been someone else.

I didn't say Secondstrade was automated, just that it was not managed by an outside campaign manager that they hired but the Secondstrade.com account on bitcointalk itself.

I'mma bump this once more, and it's not completely off-topic.  I sold some Nintendo games here for bitcoin once, but one of the very first posts I made was a sales thread (for other games) where no one was interested.  They all said the games looked great but nobody made any offers.  I've seen this numerous times in threads for goods that aren't bitcoin-related collectibles, and I've just always had this strong impression that people here want to keep their bitcoin and not spend it for something they could buy with fiat.

Maybe when the new forum software arrives--right after Jesus Christ comes back to Earth--this could be implemented.  I do think it would be useful, because I also can't stand seeing my ignored list members' posts getting quoted such that I have to see them.

I'm sure I took the criticism about Yobit spammers personally and someone accused me of being one on my trust wall, but I don't remember there being nearly the amount of scam accusations against Yobit back then as opposed to now.  My demeanor and attitude have probably changed somewhat from my Yobit days.

However, though I tried to be diplomatic about it, I was in Lutpin's 777Coin campaign and at one point posted this in the thread:
I finally quit the campaign because of stuff like this, but I'll also admit I was 1) too impatient, and 2) not nearly so well-versed in how "flexible" campaign managers are in terms of when they make payments.  I think I deleted my final post in that thread because it was basically something juvenile, like "I'm done with this campaign".   I never disliked Lutpin and still respect him, and I don't mean the neg trust on him to reflect anything personal or vindictive because of crap like the above.  If I were him I probably would have told me to STFU and be patient.

However....the latest delays that the Lutpin/Lightlord campaigns have experienced go far beyond defending like I did with Yobit or you, suchmoon, might have done with the Asicminer campaign.  Neither of those made their participants suffer quite like Lutpin/Lightlord's have as far as I know (though now that I'm remembering Yobit, that fucking "withdrawal" button used to get frozen quite often).

It bears repeating that not only were the Bitvest/777Coin participants made to wait weeks to get paid, but bitcoin dropped severely during part of that time they were waiting.  That's doubly wrong. 

And boy, I'd really love to hear from more of the campaign participants themselves.  Some have spoken up, but most have not and I can't imagine that it's because they don't have an opinion on the matter.

When did he get removed?  Was it mentioned in a thread of its own or did I just miss it in another thread?  I'm not trying to derail this thread--and I've already lent my support to Coolcryptovator--but I don't want to make a new thread just about that.  

I don't know why he got removed as a source, but I think he was far too liberal handing out merits.  It was something like 10-20 merits per post that he'd hand out, and while there may be some posts deserving of that amount I think it was way too much.

Not sure what you mean about that, because I always had mixed feelings about Yobit.  For the noobs here, it was essentially robo-managed, and you could get paid multiple times a day into your Yobit account.  No waiting, no fuss, none of this drama about managers doing lousy jobs.  

I wish there were currently campaigns that could pay for posts like Yobit did, except (and this is the mixed feelings part) there's no way to quickly tell if a post is a good one or not unless your standards are near zero and it's only character count that matters--and Yobit didn't even have a character minimum if I recall correctly.  In any event, Yobit had posters that were even worse than Secondstrade had, and I can't even remember who the Yobit manager was.  I think it was just Yobit's BCT account that did all the talking and dealing with problems, much like Secondstrade.  Maybe suchmoon can correct me if I'm mistaken.

By the way, I agree with OP.  DT members and campaign managers aren't gods and shouldn't be treated with reverence--especially when they don't deserve it and (especially)^2  when the member in question is both a DT member and a campaign member.  Sometimes you have to figuratively be a man, stand up for yourself, and refused to be treated like you live on pagpag.

Ever see the movie The Human Centipede?  Well with some of these campaign participants, it seems like instead of forming a linear chain of human bodies on their knees, they all have their oral cavities surgically attached to Lutpin's (or whoever the campaign manager is) anus. 

Therefore none of the participants are capable of speaking up and telling a manager that he's doing a shitty job.  They find it much more comfortable saying "oh yessa massa, whateva y'all say massa" and being professional rectal prolapsers than being something other than a mouse who runs to the corner when the cat rears its head.

This situation was made much, much worse because of how much bitcoin crashed.  That would have pissed me off royally.  Now I have to tell you that I think most signature campaigners shouldn't even be members of this forum, much less getting paid to post here, but a deal is a deal.  They don't deserve to be treated worse than Chinese teen Nike sweatshop workers.  Most of the time. 

But my point is that if you say you're going to pay a whole bunch of people to advertise for your company/project/whatever, pay them, and pay them on time.  If a manager is having a problem doing that, he deserves to be fired.  I left Lutpin a neg because what he did was absolutely untrustworthy.  Did he scam?  No.  Do I trust him less than I used to?  Yes.  People ought to be warned about his shenanigans, since he might very well be managing campaigns in the future.

What you want to do is get paid for your posts, but what you're unable to do is write material in your own words--which is why I'm assuming you got banned, because you copy/pasted something from somewhere without giving credit to the person.

Hate to be a party pooper here, but this could very well be a dead-cat bounce.  I'm not complaining whatsoever about the rebound in the past 24 hours or so, but it's only been a day and nobody here knows whether bitcoin's going to continue to increase or if this is something like short sellers covering their positions--in which case, there could be more pain ahead.

My advice (worth everything you paid for it):  If you bought bitcoin when it dipped below $4000, sell it now and take your money off the table.  And wait.

I think all the coins on the market, including bitcoin, can satisfy a lot of unique functions and needs at this point.  The way I see it is that there are way, way too many altcoins in existence and most of them are never going to be used for what they were originally promoted for.  I see this happening in the ICO market constantly--if the new coin isn't an outright scam, it's not going to ever get adopted by, and certainly won't revolutionize [insert industry here].

So no, I don't think bitcointalk needs its own special coin like Reddit supporters thought they needed a special coin like RDD.  That one turned out to be one hell of a smelly skunk and lost a lot of people a lot of money, I'm sure.  The gambling industry doesn't need coins like RBIES (or whatever the hell that coin was named) to function any better than it can with bitcoin, and bitcointalk won't be made any better with its own shitcoin.  This is bitcointalk, and we don't need it to turn into bitcoincointalk.

I wouldn't like to willingly provide fingerprints, but it seems like nowadays government and corporations are requiring them for a lot of things--so it's hard to keep fingerprints out of the hands (no pun intended) of the big institutions.  I don't know much about eye scans, other than they're just a fingerprint substitute, but I'd be paranoid about the facial recognition aspect of it.  But again, that's another thing that's going to be very difficult to keep private.

And as far as giving up either my fingerprints or a retinal scan to some anonymous internet project spouting something about "fair money supply"?  Hell fucking no.  I wouldn't provide you with my hair color, much less any other tool for identity thieves.

Um, yeah.  Bitcoin isn't going to remain stable for long, especially when these new futures/options markets go into effect like I've been reading about (if they haven't already).  More ability to trade + the ability of large institutional investors to use leverage = more price volatility.  That's my guess anyway.

Plus bitcoin is still taking the severe hit that I figured it would after reaching its ATH last year, though I didn't think it would fall this low.  On the other hand, if you're the type of person who actually uses bitcoin to buy things, price stability isn't a negative.  That means you can defer purchases and hold onto your bitcoin for a while without having to worry that its purchasing power is going to decrease--though you'll miss out on any gains in purchasing power if bitcoin increases, too.

I've said it a million times:  I'm not a trader of bitcoin, so I'm not hoping bitcoin stays volatile.  That's how most traders make their money, i.e., through serious price swings.  It's not going to affect my balance sheet at all, but part of what makes bitcoin so appealing to own and to follow is the craziness of the market.  Thus I wouldn't mind it at all if we get either a crazy recovery or another serious drop.  I'm hoping for the former but I would not rule out the latter.

I don't mean to be looking like a typical signature campaign poster posting in a sales thread with no intention of buying--but I do want to say that bitcointalk is probably the worst place you could possibly try to sell some graded SW books.  Even if they had a solid gold light sabre attached and a permission slip from the US Gov't to take revenge on Kathleen Kennedy with extreme prejudice and complete impunity, you'd still have one hell of a hard time getting people to part with their bitcoins.  People are so tight around here with bitcoin, their asses squeak when they walk.
