821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any gambling site that allows betting directly from the wallet? on: January 21, 2020, 11:23:34 PM
I have tried EARNBET it is like DEX on desktop you can login with scatter by the way they are using EOS Network, on Mobile I  have tried using Meet one wallet using their dapps you can connect with Earnbet. I think they have an ongoing campaign on services go there and find their website link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5217830.0
822  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have anyone come across this? Whether it is a true currency or fake one....? on: January 21, 2020, 10:58:11 PM
I don't know what currency is that but not big value maybe big numbers, what if 50,000,000 = $5? We don't know and I don't think a currency will reach a price same or higher with bitcoin. There are countries that have a huge difference in value compared to dollars I think that is why it has a huge 50M numbers I think your friend is just messing with you.
823  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Total Bitcoin lost to date? on: January 21, 2020, 11:48:49 AM
I saw his tweet a few minutes after it was published, I guess this dude is just making noise. There is no way you will lose your bitcoin if you save your Passphrase and private keys. This dude is only talking about a password. It is a user error. He is saying it is his life saving and later on tweeted that those bitcoin was gifted to him, obviously he just want to have some attention.

Anyways I think there is no way to determine the exact amount of bitcoin that was lost it is just statistics but maybe those statistics are close enough to the correct amount. In the year 2140, all we can do is dream maybe bitcoin price reaches bottom zero or maybe $1M, we can start now saving for our grandchildren.
824  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin: virtual credit card on: January 21, 2020, 10:33:30 AM
I know you're talking about Virtual credit card, but if you're interested in a physical card, wirex is giving free Visa card world wide now, I got mine recently this month If you use it on the store it has some cashback features, same with Crypto dot com Visa card but I haven't tried it yet because the cost is quite big for me to obtain that card, I guess it is $250 more or less.

Last time I checked Wirex don't support my country yet for card delivery. Are you sure it's worldwide now?[1]

Btw, I think this thread is should be in Service Discussions.

[1] https://wirexapp.com/help/article/the-list-of-supported-countries-0027

I just saw some ads somewhere in social media but I guess he meant almost available in all country, Sorry for that I think it is just for promotion in late 2019 they are giving away 20 nano preloaded on FREE Visa card for first 2000 users but I think it has already ended but they are still giving free visa card without 20 Nano. I hope your country is supported now.
825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would it take for XRP to become widely used as a payment method? on: January 21, 2020, 10:05:13 AM
I think XRP needs a solid partnership maybe a high profile and reputation company or directly endorse by the government, this coin will fly. But the question is, will that happen? The rumors about XRP being centralized I don't think government will partner with them but who knows. I tested and been using XRP across exchanges and wallets, it is really fast and cheap, good for arbitration its TPS is faster than bitcoin and ETH.
826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: By now, is it worth to invest in major altcoins for the long term? on: January 21, 2020, 09:14:18 AM
Just do your own research and go for it, but you can read some crypto enthusiasts feedbacks, analyze it but at the end of the day you are the one who will make the decision. It is your choice, following a signal is not recommended, most of them are scammers fooling people to buy at a certain price so they can dump.

828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The future of bounty looks uncertain on: January 21, 2020, 05:15:56 AM
I felt the same I stop bounty hunting most of the projects are failed either not meeting softcap or turned scam just a waste of time, As you say only bounties that have IEO or self-funded projects survived. But only IEO on a reputable exchange, IEO on small exchange seems like an ICO, even worst the exchange turned exit scam after raising a decent amount from IEO, so don't trust this new and low volume exchanges. But I guess if we are in bullrun, projects that have no funds can raise a decent amount and bounty will be worth it again.
829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quality or Price? - which one you look when buying altcoins? on: January 21, 2020, 03:49:07 AM
I usually look at the quality of the project, price is not guaranteed that it will stay as is, it is not permanent it might crash in just the whole night and you just woke up frustrated. If it is good and has the quality it has the potential to reach new heights, not only in prices but also new opportunities like new investors and partners. Quality projects need a wise Team member that will manage and promote to social media and conferences, A not active project is like dead for me it need some support and exposure too.
830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here dream of achieving their financial goal in life through gambling? on: January 20, 2020, 06:52:21 PM
~snip
Everyone is dreaming like this one, Yes I want to have a comfortable life but If I risk more my life would be harder than it will be, So be responsible it is very risky. Only few won big hits in gambling so many gamblers lose every day you might be one of them. Instead of betting it try saving it in your savings account.
831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BCH, BSV more profitable than Ethereum? on: January 20, 2020, 06:35:25 PM
I don't know what happened with the Ethereum, why this coin's price is not growing that much? Without Bitcoin pumping, Ethereum can't grow a bit. Where BCH or even BSV price keeps pumping like the bull run! Now, 1 BSV coin's price is more than double of 1 Ethereum. I am a holder of Etherem, but day by day I am being frustrated by holding it, it's price is far lower than 200 USD! Unbelievable. What do you think guys? Should I convert my ETH into BSV or BCH for more profit?

Ethereum is different from BCH and BSV, these two coins have Max supply while Ethereum has no max supply it grows every year and you know what it is still standing on the second position next to Bitcoin. I think these two forks of bitcoin has no purpose at all. In previous years they have a drama fighting each other but I guess they are just fooling some people and making free money, claiming to be the real bitcoin, hilarious. The real bitcoin is only one sitting on top.
832  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: {Warning}: Fake Yusaku Maezawa ETH and BTC Giveaway on: January 20, 2020, 05:14:41 PM
Thanks for the warning I hope all newbies will read this thread, upon viewing their ETH deposit wallet there is actually people sending some ETH. I feel sorry for them if its really real transactions. This might be a trick to lure some newbies to send some ETH and they are making fake transactions sending ETH to their wallets to make it look real. Again don't be fool by this trick there is no easy money.

This are victims or just fake transactions;

833  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BEST WAY TO BUY AND SELL BITCOIN IN GERMANY on: January 20, 2020, 04:37:34 PM
Hello guys, there is a good friend of mine who recently migrated to Germany for his Master class. He wants to start trading of bitcoin, I want some recommendations on the best way to buy and sell bitcoin in Germany. I don't know if Binance supports Euro deposit and withdrawal through debit card. Please, I don't want localbitcoin.

Your accurate recommendation will be welcome. Thanks.
I dont support localbitcoin either and binance does suport the buying of bitcoin with credit/debit card but since anonymity is not a concern for your friend. I will advise him to make use one of the bitcoin ATM in Germany which he will find one on here.
I favor using Binance because they support buying crypto with a visa now. But if that ATM is near the OP place that might be a good choice but the rate on ATM is not that updated, Just like here in my country, there is a quite difference in price. If you don't mind KYC and stuff just try Binance very convenient no need to go outside.
834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto market moves in like a mystery! on: January 20, 2020, 03:58:16 PM
I guess when bitcoin value is only $0.08 last July 2010 someone thinks just like this and asks "how long it will sustain?" but look where we are now? we are very far from that point. Your title is true cryptocurrency, especially bitcoin moves in mysterious ways no one can really predict when it jumps or dump or should I say corrections so if we enter something like this we should knowledgeable on what we are doing. But some say, in the recent increase in price was triggered by USDT manipulations, Well, who knows.
835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Stablecoins Promote the Mass Adoption of Cryptocurrencies? on: January 20, 2020, 02:21:05 PM
I don't think so, so many stablecoins are created from year 2017 until now. It seems like they are printing free money out of nowhere. I know stablecoin is useful on trading to preserve and maintain the value of your funds but it can be use to manipulate a certain assets too, previously USDT has been accused and behind the manipulation of bitcoin price I dont know if its real or not.
836  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hacker leaks passwords for more than 500,000 servers, routers, and IoT devices on: January 20, 2020, 09:18:32 AM
This hack is not about paypal password, crypto wallet, etc. It is about Telnet username and passwords if the hacker gain access with your telnet account he/she can access a device via remote access protocol over the internet, he can access your computer and copy data, but I guess it is only applicable to those devices that have static IP address an address that does not change, but if you have dynamic IP your IP will change every time you restart your router so the hacker cannot gain access.

I have a solution:
Go to control panel >> Turn windows feature on or off >> find telnet uncheck and press ok.

837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of key areas to look out for in 2020 on: January 19, 2020, 11:59:20 PM
Here are lists of some key concepts and projects that i think will definitely advance significantly more this year.

1. Libra/Calibra
2. Bitcoin Halving
3. Gaming Development on Blockchain
4. Defi Growth
5. Central Bank Currencies
6. Infrastructure and Web 3.0
I am excited about these two Bitcoin halving and Central bank currency. In Bitcoin halving there is a decrease of 50% in block reward I hope there is an increase in price. Central bank in china creating their own currency is a big move too, I guess it is already on developing stage.
838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin still bigger in 2019 from all other Commodities on: January 19, 2020, 11:30:50 PM
Even though they are in different category I can say that bitcoin is still the best, the possibilty of price jump is very possible and can happen anytime unlike gold seems like a stablecoin there is no big jump on its prices but the good thing is there is no big crash. The technology of bitcoin is still evolving around the world no one can stop it.
839  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why its easy for a new comer to get scam on: January 19, 2020, 02:50:01 PM
Quote
Why mostly the victims of scam, are newbies?
The answer to this question is simple because they are "newbie" to a certain things. Stuff that they dont know like you said lack of ideas or knowledge. Some persons might abuse this weakness. The only thing we need to remember is when the offer involves money, we need to be careful review it many times, find feedbacks from other users before trying anything.
840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: This is why you shouldn't trust a Centralized Exchange! on: January 19, 2020, 01:51:22 PM
Yes, you are right nothing is safe, binance and other exchanges is created by a person so it can be hacked by a person too, but you know what? Binance has insurance if there is a hacked that happen they can easily refund what have been lost so for me binance is still the best. Unlike other exchanges if got hacked possibly close or shutdown.
