Phew, did not expect Canada to win, let alone to destroy France like they did.
Canada assembled a really good team, but France is one of the best defensive teams in the world. This win will fill Canada team with confidence.
~snip

didn't expect it, it is a first match on tournament, but really important looking forward
France now has to beat Spain for Semi-final in next group, and with that hope that Canada don't lose to Spain with some difference that puts France on 3rd position (no semi-final, no medal) no matter their win over Spain

and Canada also has to think about that, since if they win over Spain, they are setting the stage for a meet-up with USA in Semi-final
but they now have difference to chose what they want

Now I feel much less confident about USA. 5 events and 0 gold, bad.

TBH, looking at what is left, USA will have hard time to catch 12, anything above will be really challenging

relays 4x400 - 2 golds
relay 4x100 - men
200m - men
800m - women
Ealey or Ewen can try on Shot Put women, but can't find seventh
maybe I missed something, or some unknown marathoner will win over Kenyans and Etiophians
823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: EFL English Championship League 2023/2024 on: August 24, 2023, 07:50:26 PM
yeah, Championship is back tomorrow, and from this first three rounds, one can say that old rule that 2 relegated teams will fight for promotion and third to avoid another relegation seems to be unveiling here
Southampton and Leicester are having good start, and Leeds is holding back, without a win so far

inline with that, Ipswich is playing against Leeds, odds are solid on a home win @2.25, and seems that it is worth betting
824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Conference League Discussion Thread -- 2023/24 | Qualifiers on: August 24, 2023, 11:12:19 AM
Partizan is back tonight, against Nordsjaelland, and odds to qualify for next round @2.59 seems as really good offer
can't say that we are better, but expected to see it @1.9-2.0 range, nothing more than that
it is probably due to way we eliminated Sabah on penalties, and half-empty stadium at re-match due to UEFA punishment for bad organization against Sabah

will be an interesting duel to watch tonight, would not make any bets, except to qualify

Just wondering which site do I use to keep track of this. Not that it really matters because I shared the same answers with @igebotz but it just feels nice to be updated with this

you can track it at official site, just medals

They should be, they owned 70% ball possession though with over 13 chances and 8 shots on goals. Do they qualify after this or there will be another round on the qualifiers?

there is one more match in Birmingham, pure formalism, but it is a 2-match duel, and Hibernians has a chance to pass, if they win 0:6 there (of course, it is close to impossible, if not more than impossible)

The match has gone to extra time and it was worth staying awake so late for me😁

Messi turn Miami around, he is half-way to become their all time best scorer, and joined squad month and half ago

regarding last night, Miami went up in overtime, to conceive another one, but proceed on penalties, will this be second trophy for them since Messi joined (TBH, didn't know that they have these two cups prior to this season, and now my Twitter is full of Messi goals, assist and cartoon heroes celebrations on pitch)

If anyone's capable of long bad streaks, it's Mainz.

if I look it correctly, two of us are the only ones thinking Mainz will suck coach first
since I already took Leipzig last season, and guess it right, chances are we will miss this season

and looking at Leipzig start against Leverkusen, I would not be surprised to see them for another bad start, although after winning Supercup, it would need a really bad start for them to repeat last season "first suck" title

The winner(s) of the Round 3 Yellow Cap will also win a Southampton shirt  Cool
~snip

will have to put my picks carefully for this round, but it will probably end-up as disaster, as in any round with Southampton shirt on offer so far
nevertheless, thanks to Sportsbet and you for more opportunities to win that one

regarding the round, as it seems that there is a lot of one-sided duels, exact scores on those easy winnings would come as decision makers

what is happening if there are several players with same surname, and players didn't put first name in spreadsheet

for example, I am playing mitchr4, and he has Williams, but there is two Williams in fourth part of the draw
is it counted as better ranked, or participants should send which player it is before one of them gets out Smiley

Small tip: Take Wilson out and replace him with Watkins - Aston Villa play Burnley this weekend, and he'll be my captain.

bear in mind that Villa scored four against Everton, and Watkins was not on a scoresheet

but overall, Gabriel was holding me back, so he is out now
will be an interesting week, several top teams play home matches, with a big probability to win and have clean sheet
834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: August 22, 2023, 07:33:06 PM
Sevilla allways make something to surprises us, its incredible i dont know what to think.
~snip

yeah, they are pretty unbelievable, but that is what it is
winning Europa league even when they can't win single match in La Liga, then play head-to-head against City, and they allow 4 goals against Alaves

but what is looking good so far is Valencia at position 3, Osasuna at home is next, it is an opportunity to continue winning strike, and maybe if Rayo and Real don't win 3rd match, be alone on top

There was a player that scored goal, not sure anymore who it was and it was a question if he touched the ball or not. First it was given, then Fa decided it was own goal. Then few hours later they revived and gave it back to player. Points were already calculated and we got robbed for regular goal in Fantasy.

it was Brighton for sure, can't remember was it Mitoma or March to get robbed for that goal

looking at my squad it is really worst happening, had Watkins, thinking at least to have some points if Everton is going to be down against Villa, and Villa scored 4 goals without their only Forward on scoresheet
same for Newcastle, captained Haaland to hedge that with three Newcastle players (GK and Trippier), but Alvarez was only one on scoresheet

some things will be changed between weeks, two free transfers are there to be used

not sure if that is according to rules to share before the deadline, but IMO it is fair, no.1 snooker player O'Sullivan withdrawn from European masters just before start

if you had him, you would probably want to make VAR to your questions

USA seem rather very tricky a question, it's pretty much obvious they'll finishing at the top of the media table and points

agree, it seems as very tricky
but also seems as YES/NO, since seeing them not on top will be rather unusual situation, IMO

regarding all others, I do like snooker question, although that will be seen that most that go with usual suspects will take points over those that think that it will find their secret show players
as is usually is

Canada and France question is almost a lottery to me

Man, what the hell its Lazion doing in this start, their lose the game in 3 minutes in the last part of the game, Lazio seems like they all the seasons repeat the same problems, and never becomes a solid team to trust.

shitty Lazio
but Cagliari today took first point after comeback to Serie A, and it was an away match with Torino, enough to prove that they are not planning to go back down immediatelly

Milan is looking to a good start, with a 0:2 lead against Bologna, to join Inter, same as Roma joined Lazio in a lousy round
Atalanta also had a good start

Union Berlin is always a big surprise. I'm not sure if they can keep their impressive result from last round, especially when playing Champions Leage in addition.
Union is usually very strong at home, while lacking a bit at away games.

yeah, they are stronger at home, and lack more points away from home, but last season was indeed very good for them, and this could be as well, they are just stronger than last season
expected from Augsburg to hold after being 4:3 up, but M'Gladbach scored in overtime and took a point there, making my round worst than I hoped to see it, but overall not unhappy with a start

thanks for a free-bet jeremypwr, will be used as fast as possible

Everton is going to have a worse season than the last one I think.

as it looks now, Everton can be saved only by Sheffield, Wolves and Luton being worse than them, they don't want to be better

but as Villa lost 1:5 in first round, to return 4:0 in second round, Everton can be back after two loses in opening rounds
first round wasn't bad, just unlucky, yesterday team was really down in second half, and DCL is now out again
