Happy belated Thanksgiving? Maybe. Wink

What kind of USB hub are you using for running these NewPac sticks?

I have the demo sidehack sent which is fully loaded with the three newpacs and four 2pacs all OC'd. Then the shitting kdata has the remaining two 2pacs. on it.

A911 18th @ 1440w. same pricing as 921.

So still no AB on any hub, only direct to the pc and surface. Will try another machine once I get more time. 3 newpacs running at 300 freq, hashing about 67 GH a piece.

Could try a register filter over it. Like I do with whistling asics.

Still looks like a cool project but still never responded to our emails. There is truth to decent PR and transparency in this arena for sure. I'd be interested to check some of these out myself. Maybe it'll have to be a holiday present request at this point.

looking at 90+ db at 100% easy.

I thought this was the lounge chair thread anyway.

Any info on the s11

No info besides that the s11 are available through resellers only. No vendor we've worked with before, or others offered to send a demo. Safest to just get a T2T25T in run efficiency mode.

Canaan is probably the best manufacturer price wise to drive entry in to the US. They just need to produce the hardware that will compete. Honestly, i started the group buy thread cause we can get a sick deal on the 32T but now that market is dipped we'll see how many we can get. We just can't advertise it. With the tariff it still hurts but is much easier to soak in bulk.

Canaan will have something, I wouldn't want to rush them but I know we're all anxious in the states for something fierce that will priced well. Honestly I think Canaan will pioneer pricing for the US as no one is going to drop over 1.5k on an asic in the US right now unless ROI is extremely attractive.
831  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Will btc difficulty go sideways for rest of the year? on: November 25, 2018, 02:46:45 AM
Yea, I don't know much about mtgox but this slide has been long. I was thinking the dip would be like earlier this year but there are other factors at play it seems.

I guess we can assume diff will be dropping more not going sideways. If anything this period will add to scarcity and increase demand maybe in a month from now or q1 next year. Wonder if we'll see market increase late q1, early q2. A mirror of this year?
832  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac Stickminer Official Support Thread on: November 25, 2018, 02:33:24 AM
I looked at a few but didn't know what specs the hub is designed for yet. Will be nice anyway since it will run on my desktop to just power through that psu and open up a spot on my power strip as well.

I'll be excited to OC now I have the three we used for media and now on a separate hub. I had to downclock the 2pacs to run the first two I "found". The wife will be mad if I'm up late tinkering on what is my first day off in a few weeks. I'll wake up early and set it up while she sleeps. Wink

Yea, I'd heat with the asics for sure. I don't know much about the accounting. I know for people or companies who want those first batch releases will have us store something and they earn the interest off it. Though a local credit union should be able to do the same. For me though it's not BTC and my three jobs doesn't mean I have much to bank anyway.

What are more of the thoughts causing the dump? Really just a lot of people giving up? I thought BTC's been thought cycles similar already.
834  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Innosilicon Terminator 3 on: November 25, 2018, 01:09:50 AM
T3 looks great but we need "high time preference" releases not 1-3 month pre orders. Especially with the tariffs in place and pricing. $10k for MOQ is tough for the US market.
835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer D5 and DR5 on: November 25, 2018, 12:32:40 AM
Yea, our group batches have been good for us in the US with tariff war.
836  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Will btc difficulty go sideways for rest of the year? on: November 25, 2018, 12:26:07 AM
I've been buying more than my usual "latte" money worth the last week or so. So this is nice. I may have to shut the "heaters" off though cause my gas furnace will be cheaper to run if this market continues trend.

Sidehack I thought you set up an account with us? Our financial guy is pretty good at at least securing a decent APY for shitty fiat liquidity.
837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer D5 and DR5 on: November 24, 2018, 07:18:27 PM
Cheap power, but yes. ROI is a struggle for every new piece of hardware right now. We're just here to help and have access if we hit a good count.
838  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [30PH] ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool US/DE/CN on: November 24, 2018, 07:15:21 PM
Looks like our hash is up a little, welcome new comers or veterans returning.
839  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac Stickminer Official Support Thread on: November 24, 2018, 07:08:37 PM
Ckpool works fine, it's just the hub. The pool thread has a list of asic boost pools for reference in the reply's. Not sure how updated it is at this point. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=104664.0

I ordered a usb wire, and looks like I can use my desktop psu for power with this. Not a big amazon fan but got same day delivery. Ill get it pumping tonight hopefully or tomorrow. Thanks sidehack.

Profits on the DR5 look decent and priced "accordingly". ROI is a struggle anyway but if we get few hundred units requested from buyers we'll be able to bargain the price down quite a bit.
