If the Dev doesn't do it, would the community be interested in an exchange?
Yes.

Can anyone create an exchange or something? Or how do we get this on Cryptsy or something like it?
825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Catcoin vs Kittehcoin on: December 26, 2013, 08:07:21 PM
I first thought, obviously Kittehcoin, it's more memelike so a good competitor for DOGE and it has the same amount of units.

But I just saw the popularity of Catcoin, and I think both can exist, one as a meme and one as a coin for people who like cats and just people who invest and whatever.

Mined more Kittehcoin though, not sure if smart.

For those newbies trying to get into Litecoin, the faucet at http://ltc4you.com/?r=4915 has recently made changes that could potentially earn you a reasonable amount (for a faucet) fast.

They now have a daily draw where 10 random players earn 1000uLTC, 10 earn 3000uLTC and 10 earn 6000uLTC! The faucet dispenses hourly
But the normal game has pretty much been destroyed, 20 uLTC was few (When I first went to the site it was atleast 80) and now it's only 2. The chances of those prizes probably aren't so high either, I guess I'll get this website out of my favorites.

Whats so good about this Kitten ?

Same as with DOGE as I said before, it's a meme, it will become popular. Higher demand = higher value.

And difficulty is still low.

Which cryptocurrency is the most profitable for mining in next few days? Lotto, Fedoracoin?
My vote goes to Kittehcoin, maybe there are better ones, but I don't know about those. Lotto and Fedora aren't as good as Kitteh.

I think KittehCoin has more potential than Catcoin. KittehCoin is more meme-like, they have annoying words in their vocubulary, which teenagers like for some reason. Also Kittehcoin has the same amount of potential coin as DOGE, making it a better rival for DOGE because the value is easier to compare. And does DOGE need a rival? No, but catlovers sure want a cat to be above the dog so they will try to make it a competition, making both altcoins more wellknown and making altcoins in general more well known which means profit for all us 'early' adapters.

I've mined both so I'm happy either way, but my vote goes to Kittehcoin.

Bitcoin and Quark very promising for the future.
I haven't researched Quark. But could you tell me why Quark is promising?
831  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: There are so many copycats of Bitcoin. Do you think any of them will succeed? on: December 26, 2013, 09:50:39 AM
I vote Yes!

I think few other altcoins will succeed and have you heard about Nxt? 100% Proof of Stake and was built /designed from scratch. It is environmentally friendly when it comes to power efficiency while using an average PC. These are some the advantages of Nxt to other altcoin plus it has a great community support. And Nxt might be the next big thing after Bitcoin.

So we'll just have to wait and see... Smiley

The problem with NXT is that the early investors have all coins, they will make huge profits will newer investors have high chance of becoming bagholders. All coins have to be sold to be spread into the world. Peercoin however is better imo, even though it's not 100% environmentally friendly, it is going to be it when mining is pretty much finished.

You should buy Bitcoins Wink

Altcoins are in no way superior to BTC, have no infrastructure, literally nobody accepts them for payment.
Maybe LTC, but that's it.

That's a good point. There is a small chance that a few alt currencies will make it big - the trick is knowing which one will before it actually does  Cheesy

Only LTC has some "potential", as being one of the first, but I don't see any newer altcoins "making it".

I think Peercoin and maybe some more have more potential than LTC. Peercoin has really some new things like Proof of Stake while LTC is pretty much just a clone.

Altough this is true, Altcoins do grow more rapidly if BTC grows. Let's take Peercoin, When BTC was 620-660, PPC was close to 3.
Now BTC is 700 and PPC is 3.7. It just grows more rapidly and therefor will give you more profit, but the risks ofcourse are higher because an altcoin doesn't have infrastructure. Same with newer coins, how newer and less known how more risk and probably more profit too.
