Honestly I didn't know that guys, until yesterday I came across some article claims that top projects from India but they are from Indians not actually from India.

It's another reason why startups are failing in India and why the people with the idea choose the better place to start their project.
822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Security measures in casinos are better than exchanges! on: August 26, 2023, 06:36:12 AM
What you say is nonsense that you say simply because you think it and you don't provide any weighty argument to back it up, no data or anything else. You mean a small casino has better security measures than Binance? Think about it.

The fact is that there are many more hackers trying to hack Binance than a small casino, because the prize pool is much bigger.

You still want proofs for exchange hacks? Ironic.

Anyway, you can start from Mt.Gox to Binance every exchange faced hacks and the proofs are below

List of Hacked Exchanges, since 2011

List of cryptocurrency exchange hacks

For casinos:

Primedice Bitcoin Gambling Site Hacked for $1M

Vulnerabilities in gambling websites in past

Clearly you can see which one fell more as victims, I am not bullshitting here, I felt it's a valid argument, and Its not a valid point that hackers attack only the crypto exchanges so casinos are safe which isn't true cause hackers can attack the bank account even if it has balance of $100.
823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Security measures in casinos are better than exchanges! on: August 26, 2023, 05:41:00 AM
Many of you guys claim that casinos are often hacked like the exchanges but I don't see many casino hot or cold wallet hacked by hacker on the other side every crypto exchange including Binance hacked so that is what I am talking about.

Who are talking about account frozen by casinos, providing 2FA as security and blah blah, please read OP carefully before replying.

Casinos are dealing with big amounts too, and most of you wearing signatures of casinos so I suggest you to go and take a look around the wagering amounts in the history section of any casino to find how much we are talking.

824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Security measures in casinos are better than exchanges! on: August 25, 2023, 07:14:06 PM
We heard that data breaches and hacks in the crypto currency exchanges are more often and almost every exchange faced that but when it comes to casinos they're actually better in that isn't it cause I don't see any casino's got hacked like exchange which means the casinos are having better security standards when it comes to protecting the data and funds.

If that so then how is it possible for the casino why not by the exchanges.

Your thoughts!!!
825  Local / India / Re: Which Indian crypto influencer are you following? on: August 25, 2023, 02:41:34 PM

Hey! Thanks for sharing the channel, not many videos still every one of them looks good. If this guy had either used English or had added subtitles in English then his reach would have been very high. I first asked YouTube to generate English subtitles for the first video on this list. Eventually understood it was worse than I downloaded the first video. Used an AI to generate to download the script, and used Google Translate to convert it into English. Watched the whole video while reading the translated script. It took some effort but it is worth it.

You did hard work too, this guy is perfect because I don't really see promoting any projects or even barely mention it unless it is affecting the market to considerable amount, but he is not quite regular when into making videos which again proves he is not really creating videos just for the sake of posting, he does only if it needs to be.
826  Local / India / Polygon MATIC Co-founders are Indians! on: August 24, 2023, 06:12:21 PM
Actually you all must be familiar with this project Polygon Matic but do you know that master mind behind this project are Indians too? Unfortunately, just like, most of them great Indian moved to better country for various reasons. And founders clearly mentioned POLYGON IS NOT AN INDIAN STARTUP.

You can find the names here : https://polygon.technology/about

Kind of shocking right or at least to me because I never knew that. Most of the time, You can find the cryptocurrency projects coming from India is nothing but obvious scams, but this kind of good to hear and can say we are also involved in the development of crypto projects from time to time.
827  Local / India / Re: Crypto P2P scams in India show digital asset education is needed on: August 24, 2023, 02:45:30 PM
I am sorry to say but Indians can't resist greed. They know it is risky and still, they fall for offers that offer more than the market. The community still doesn't understand how cryptocurrency taxes are calculated. I have read so many comments on various Indian telegram channels that they won't pay a 30 percent tax on crypto earnings.

Whereas tax is not on earnings but it is on gains through the earnings. If they get their head right I don't think they will as the young generation lack reading skills. If they read and understand it they would stop using P2P and start using local exchanges. From 2017 to 2021 everyone who was into crypto in India earned a handsome amount of money. Now when they are being asked to pay tax only on their gains most of them are ignoring. When the Indian government comes up with regulation, the most affected exchanges would be those that encourage P2P and non-KYC services.

I don't think people try to avoid the tax are falling for this kind of scams because the amount they are selling is like 3K to 10K INR but definitely greed blindside them that is why their common sense doesn't kick why someone is paying too much money more than the worth of the asset without a catch.

Still, 30% capital gains tax and 1% TDS is too much, so certainly it will push the users to find a way to avoid the tax which mostly end up in traps like these scams.
828  Local / India / Re: Which Indian crypto influencer are you following? on: August 23, 2023, 04:34:40 PM
Do those videos have English subtitles without that it would be hard for me to understand. Anyway, do share the link I would ask my South Indian friends to help me in case subtitles are not available. I do have a basic understanding of trading but I got confused when I was asked to derive an outcome using the candel stick. Sometimes I can but in most situations, I mix up.

Technical Analysis Lessons

Channel : Crypto Tamil

But It may not be helpful for you cause no subtitle and auto generated CC sucks as always, so in case if you have friends you can ask them to translate it. Or better stick ones you understand and skip their shit promotions, clickbaits and hype.

830  Local / India / Crypto P2P scams in India show digital asset education is needed on: August 23, 2023, 08:59:51 AM
Even though it has been discussed already, still why people are falling for the p2p scams?

Recently there is an article regarding this posted on cointelegraph : Crypto P2P scams in India show digital asset education is needed

I saw some article claims that India have 150 millions crypto investors but still they are being so naive and falling for the scams especially for most obvious one.

Few tips to avoid p2p scams:

1. Avoid Too Good to Be True Offers, like something that offers over 30% of market price.
2. Carefully review the profile of the person you're dealing.
3. Don't accept payments from third party accounts
4. Before releasing cryptos make sure the money credited to your account cause most p2p scammers use fake screenshots and claim that the payment stuck due to bank server issue.
5. Avoid any kind of contact apart from the trading platform.

Which channel are you talking about? I am also interested in learning trading and I haven't been able to find the right one as most of them are promoting something or the other. If this channel is still available on YouTube then do share it's link here. I would love to explore and learn about trading through it.
It's South regional language channel so neither Hindi nor English subtitle, if you're still okay I will share it.
832  Local / India / Re: Which Indian crypto influencer are you following? on: August 22, 2023, 10:05:37 AM
Honestly no one because influencers are basically market manipulators, so if you want to be a real crypto enthusiast then following our own ways is better than doing something which is suggested/ordered by someone.

I used to learn crypto trading technical analysis but the channel never promoted any projects or proposed what to do about making money which I feel the real content creators and I respect them than some greedier who will promote anything for money.
833  Local / India / Re: G20 Set to Crystalize Global Crypto Rules as India Wraps Up Presidency on: August 20, 2023, 02:53:34 PM
I think once the global laws on crypto set in the tax rules will automatically get a bit relaxed. Because once if there are some global rules governments will start taking this as an opportunity instead of threat. Once that happens you'll see government taking a welcoming approach by reducing taxes etc. On bitcoin. India definitely will not keep the flat 30% taxes for very long.

I doubt there would a huge impact on tax as I feel that after regulation the government might relate crypto with share market. If there is a reduction on tax then it will be welcomed by the community. If the ruling party wants to sweep the election next year then they would announce some relief in the winter session of parliament. If not then they would see a dip in their voter base in the next election.
I am not sure the Indian crypto community is big enough to make a difference in the results of election but if they make some relaxation which will bring some spotlight for them cause media and economic experts are going to debate about it which is still a popularity for the party which will surely helpful to make difference in their results.

It means the transaction is not RBF enabled so you can only use CPFP.

835  Local / India / G20 Set to Crystalize Global Crypto Rules as India Wraps Up Presidency on: August 18, 2023, 02:38:53 PM
What happened in the discussion is entirely confidential so this article is based on the interview of someone who participated in that discussion.

It seems that G20 is pushing the government to come with more clear regulations about cryptocurrency and its future and the good thing is an outright ban on cryptocurrencies may not be the best approach . And RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das said “the FSB report recognizes that individual jurisdictions have the choice to prohibit crypto if they so desire.”

836  Local / India / Re: Independence day Trivia Quiz on: August 16, 2023, 04:00:29 PM
The initiative is good but I think it should have been well planned and delivered. We should have prepared this a week earlier so that we could have got more engagement.
Also, @Bitcoin Smith the questions should have been asked in some online quiz platform because if one posts the answers it wouldn't be hard for others to post the same.
Lets plan out the next competitions to get more traction. Still it was better than nothing and I appreciate your efforts.
Actually, I didn't plan anything too so the idea strike me only after that thread.

Yeah, I thought that the questions were too simple, but I didn't try to push too hard because I concentrated more on being fun and learn something.

Sure, next time we can come up with more technical related questions.
837  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs. the Dollar (Traditional Money vs. Digital Innovation) on: August 16, 2023, 09:23:43 AM
The only relation is BTC value is quoted in USD value for example when we trade on exchange that is the only relation between USD and Bitcoin. In case if USD falls down to zero over night which may affect the price of BTC a bit or huge in short term due to the Market sentiment but BTC will start to rise again irrespective of USD's state.
838  Local / India / Re: 77th Independence Day! on: August 15, 2023, 03:10:59 PM
eat initiative by @Bitcoin Smith. I was so happy to participate in the trivia quiz and was surprised to see that he was prepared for it. The reason for my surprise was that I wrote on this topic yesterday and he created the topic yesterday itself. We need users like him on our board. I am out of sMerits and therefore tagging @pakhitheboss & @pawanjain to look into this topic.
I am very glad to hear those words, which will appreciate more and more contribution as much as I can in future too. Smiley

Thanks for the merit, now I am officially hit 50 merit milestone still a long way to go.
