Isn't it supposed to be 10% of your wallet that you get?
It is 10% for a full year if I understood that correctly. So you only get a small share of that. For the 10% you ll have to let it run for the whole year. So how would that 10% interest distributed to our wallet? Do I need to open the wallet and let it run in order to get that 10%. Or I can just open it after one year and magically that 10% will be added to my wallet? lol The idea behind the PoS working is that leaving the wallet open and unlocked for staking adds more nodes to the TOR network. More nodes on the network means a better degree of anonymity for it's users. If your wallet is not open and staking then you're not supporting the network. If you're not supporting the network, then you're not going to be rewarded. If I oversimplified it, or made an error, I am sure someone will let me know, but that is as I understand and describe it  . You could also look at it like this : You ave a line of credit at a bank, it charges you 18% interest APR (annual percentage rate). That equals out to 1.125% * 12 months = 18%. So in DeepONIONs case, unless I have misunderstood, it's 10% over the course of a year, and not based on the highest quantity of Onions you hold in your wallet for that time, but, most likely compounded or calculated at each block, where a traditional bank would compound it daily. I wonder what the opening price will be? Novaexchange is not exactly known for high flyer crypto. It is the only x13 coin that is actually doing anything development wise. Actually you get almost 0 or 0.x/0.0x because the developer is staking the Premine... That means he generates all the PoS coins almost alone every day. - There will be around 20 million coins produced by PoW of which 18 million ONIONs (90%) is premined at genesis block. The majority of these will be distributed FREELY to the community. - About 2 million ONIONs will be mineable by the public. |

Very interesting question. Take a look at the speed of building up the community here. The price or higher should be hittable. It will be 10 Cents at least. The total supply is 21Million. Someone who was renting hash a while back estimated that it cost him 8-10 cents per onion. I can't see anyone with common sense dumping their airdrop for pennies like that. Well deduced lijoe. |

I know what you mean, however its a bit of a two edged sword, which ever way you look at it, in respect to the intrinsic value increasing, vs ability to get them and if there was no loyalty to the coin or they were not valued by the community that would be far worse.
