821  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: What happened to keeping all my bitcoin in same address? Now I pay insane fees?! on: September 20, 2023, 09:42:06 AM
Being FORCED to use a "feature" that causes you to pay 2-4x more in fees is the real limitation. Literally LIMITTED to that.

Having a feature taken away? Makes no sense.

You are not being "forced" to use a new change address for every transaction. You can disable this feature in the Electrum transaction settings. In this case, any change not sent to the recipient's address will be returned to the originating address (or to the first address if there are multiple UTXOs). But again, as others have already pointed out, this won't reduce your transaction fees. Transaction fees are determined by your transaction's size, which, in turn, depends on the number of UTXOs in your inputs and the number of outputs, not the number of different addresses in your inputs.
822  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Casino Guru Exposed - Ties with Cloudbet and Curacao Operators on: September 20, 2023, 08:20:30 AM
<cut>
Casino Guru seems to cherry-pick which complaints and reviews they allow on their platform. They prefer issues that are easily resolvable or don't severely criticize the operators. This way, casinos keep running, referral links keep getting clicked, and everyone keeps making money.

I'm not sure I agree with this. I've been following Casino.Guru and going through their reviews and complaint resolutions for quite a while now. From what I've seen, there are numerous complaints that have taken months to resolve, often involving ongoing discussions between the players, the casino operator, and Casino.Guru. That's simply not the case; they don't favor issues that are easy to resolve or avoid criticizing operators! To illustrate my point, I recommend looking into some of the complaints, such as this example, where Casino.Guru ruled in the player's favor. You cannot form your judgment solely based on your case, especially if it doesn't align with their guidelines for an acceptable complaint. For example, they also don't handle complaints related to sports betting, but that doesn't imply their review process lacks impartiality.

My advice: Be cautious of this website and think twice before trusting their reviews and dispute resolution services.

You should always exercise caution when dealing with gambling review sites since many of them lack credibility and may have hidden agendas. However, unless you can provide some hard evidence for your claims, I can't fully accept your accusations. Casino.guru has a track record of providing comprehensive and impartial reviews and assisting players with resolving issues. While they may not be flawless, they have earned their reputation in the gambling community.

Are you sure? For a long time I thought the limit was 2.5 MB

What dzungmobile quoted is about ad (banner) design, not forum posts. Posts cannot contain images unless they are hosted on third-party sites. And yes, they are limited to a maximum size of 2.5 MB.

Maybe alternatively you can invert them into doc and give it a number to upload them as img by then I believe they could all enter in single page instead of reserving a space.
Do you think about this @op and does it make sense to you as well?

Posting content as an image is not a good idea. It makes the content hard to access for some users (for example for users who rely on screen readers or inline translators) and is not search-engine-friendly. Text is much better for discussions and sharing information as it can be easily copied, quoted, or shared between platforms and different media.
825  Economy / Reputation / Re: LoyceV's Avatar and Signature log (campaign managers read this!) on: September 19, 2023, 01:10:46 PM
The problem is that it adds many lines of code. I'm looking for something simple that works with the existing code inside the forum's signature code.

The easiest way to achieve this is by adding a float attribute to the avatar image.

For example, if you want the avatar on the left side of the signature, just include this in your <img> tag: style="float: left;"

Code:
<img src="da10e998b86302f64dc0c2f0d16583b1b6f3d1e4abed1b007eb264173b5a7804.png" alt="Avatar first detected on 2023-09-19_Tue_12:11h" width="120" height="80" style="float: left;">

Everything that comes after that (in this case, the signature code) will be displayed to the right of the image.

When you want to break away from the float (to force a newline), add this attribute: style="clear: both;"

For example, in your case, I would suggest adding this to the date/time content:

Code:
<b style="clear: both;">2023-07-03_Mon_06:10h</b>

This will help in cases where there is no signature code present but the following content should go below the image.
826  Other / Meta / Re: There are any words limitations rather than English language ? on: September 19, 2023, 10:17:02 AM
There are characters limit, not words if I'm correct. And this limit is applied in all languages, not only English. I don't know the limit though, wasn't in need of such a topic in my bitcointalk journey lol.

Actually, I believe shahzadafzal is correct. It's not really a character limit but rather a byte limit. So, it really depends on the language you're using. For instance, you can fit a lot more characters in a post written in English (or some other Latin-based language) compared to a language that uses Unicode characters.
827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When the fun stops on: September 18, 2023, 11:29:29 AM
For gambling, usually, only two things are necessary, and they should be abundant - time and money. In every society, there are those who have this lucky combination so that they can enjoy gambling. But it's mostly an individual matter. For some, gambling will be fun and a form of entertainment even if they lose thousands of dollars a month, while for others, it will stop being fun after losing just a hundred dollars or less. But, I don't think gambling stops being fun if we start thinking about money. Entertainment usually costs money, and gambling is one of the few forms that can give you a chance to win.

I asked in public because some newbie also may have this question in their mind.
and I know this is a simple question which is easily solved by asking the manager but i wanted to know by members who lived signature campaign and still got the payment.

This is a simple issue that could have been easily avoided if you had contacted your manager privately. You've made a mistake, and it's understandable that you may be feeling upset, but publicly venting your frustration won't help you. Quite the opposite, actually.

I read the rules carefully and didn't found the rules about what if i lived campaign in the middle of the week.

That was the Yo!Mix campaign, right?

▶️ If I find campaign members breaching these terms, I will remove them from the campaign immediately.
▶️ Wear the appropriate signature, avatar and personal text during the campaign
▶️ Week starts from Saturday and ends on Friday UTC

You seem to have a misunderstanding of the campaign rules.

Why did you post this in Meta? This has nothing to do with the forum.

For example why he restrict USA and UK? Both has the largest population in the whole world and it has many gambling website and traditional ones.

Regarding the United States, online gambling is typically either completely prohibited or subject to stringent regulations in most states.

You've got a good-looking gambling site, but I'm afraid I can't say much more because I'm not permitted to use your platform due to country restrictions. (I had to switch through multiple Tor circuits just to access the site.)

834  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinex hacked, $54M stolen on: September 15, 2023, 08:29:28 AM
According to the statement, the cause of the incident was the leakage of the hot wallet private key, and the assets in CoinEx cold wallet have not been affected.
Can someone tell me if these "hot wallet private keys" are just saved on their platform's server, i mean on their hosting servers for them to control the withdrawal on their user's daily withdrawal, then just replenish the addresses if it lacks balance on it. Because if its the case then it'a easy much easier for hacker to compromised such thing.

There's not much to say here. Obviously, if they wanted automatic withdrawals from the platform, they'd need to store the private keys for transaction authorization somewhere. We don't know how they kept these keys secure or who could access them. The leak might have been due to hacking or simply an inside job.

836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what are the reputable casino with vault feature? on: September 15, 2023, 07:58:55 AM
Just keep your coins in a non custodial wallet. This is bitcoin common sense and if you aren't following common sense, you're exposing yourself to risk that you don't have to expose yourself to.

That's not the main point here. When you deposit your coins into a centralized service, any centralized service, you essentially give up control of them to that third party. The "Vault" feature is there just to set aside a portion of your main balance and limit your amount available for gambling. It isn't meant for long-term safekeeping of your money.
837  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: September 15, 2023, 07:16:51 AM
