821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs. Conor McGregor on: September 27, 2020, 04:48:34 AM
This is true, Manny Pacquiao confirmed that he is going to fight with Conor McGregor next year it is all because he wanted to help the filipino citizen, the money that he may received from the fight will be donated for all the filipino who are affected by the pandemic virus. Senator Manny Pacquioa is such a hero, even though he is already 41 years old he still accept the fight because of the intention of helping Filipino and to give entertainment as well. This would be a good fight for both fighters.

Quote
“For the sake of all the Filipino COVID-19 victims, Senator Manny Pacquiao will be fighting UFC superstar Conor McGregor next year,” Jayke Joson, special assistant to Pacquiao, who is also a Philippine senator, said on Saturday.

Congratulations on another achievement of yours Cheesy, you really deserve that for being a quality poster of this forum. Reaching a legendary member is such a good feeling as a loyal member of any forum, its seems like you really prove yourself that you are participating well and there are already many threads or content that you have shared here.

There would be many members of this forum who may consider it as their motivation to work hard and rank up from this forum. I am hoping that I could rank up for a full member within this year.

It is the same feeling with me when I have my first-time transaction in crypto, at first I am a little bit nervous, thinking that I could go wrong when transferring my money to another crypto wallet, it takes a triple check for the XRP wallet address before I submit it and it is really satisfying when you already received the money you had transferred. It is a normal feeling and experience for beginners.
Well about the transaction fee, you better store first your money before transferring, it would be a waste of money once you are always doing it because it consumes a transaction fee. It is better if you do it with a large number of your money and.
825  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: MY NEWBIE THOUGHTS ABOUT THE FORUM on: September 25, 2020, 05:39:55 AM
I think I was just lucky for the users around with their generousity in giving some merits. I would like to continue exploring the forum and hopefully will learn a lot in here. I will be glad to get along with other users as well. For now, I do think the best way to learn is to read. It took me some time already just doing online and reading.
Not lucky mate. Usually merits arent easily drop on a newbies account without any attention from high ranks. Your record is not rewlly bad but a good start for a beginner. If you dont believe me. Ive got to earned 10merits for a very long time and you are receiving fast but that's the thing. When you already on this stage just continue it. You are also right. Reading here more threads will increase your knowledge on different stuff use it and learn from it. Surely you can create quality posts related to those. Good luck with your journey here.
That's true, there is no luck from receiving any merits from this forum, it is all the result of your hard work and good information you have shared from this forum. There are no newbies that will receive merits if they don't even give some efforts for creating quality posts. You may create knowledge through your good knowledge, you may also share your skills and experience, you may also use the internet for search the topics you want to create, just include the link to avoid being plagiarized.
826  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Newbie Should be Careful When Received New Follower From Famous Bitcoiner on: September 25, 2020, 04:29:15 AM
Just remember that there is no famous bitcoin that will follow a newbie, if you receive a friend request from a famous bitcoin, you better ignore it because that account is probably a poser or fake account and he or she is trying to scam other people. They use those big names because they know that they can easily get some victims if they use a popular person. Be careful that there are many scammers in social media and even in real life. It's up to us if we will choose to be the victim for them. Good knowledge and experience will help you avoid those scammers, if you are a beginner do not hook up by good offers from strangers, you better ask about if for some good people you know.

828  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Merit is Not Earned By Luck, But Because of Your Efforts! on: September 24, 2020, 04:37:58 AM
That is true, earning merits is not about luck, that is a big NO, you will receive merits once you are doing a great job in this forum when you are sharing good and useful information about the crypto world. There are many members here who are willing to give merits for that member who created good content. Actually, it can also be considered in real life, there is no luck if the person gets rich, it is all because of his hard work and knowledge that he used in order for him to be a successful one. Just remember this quote that I have read before. When you see a successful person, do not say that he/she is a lucky one when you are sleeping while he/she is working.
829  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some newbie questions about DeFi on: September 23, 2020, 01:33:11 PM
Defi is another financial system, wherein you don't need to go to any banks anymore, this is somehow really useful as of this pandemic because you don't need to go outside just to make any transaction manually. It is also good because of having secured and faster transactions.

You may visit these good threads about the DeFi system.

Tips. You can sneak out merited posts and observe and follow their ways and strategy on how they earn few or lots of merits.
That is also what I did before when I can't even receive 1 merit at all, I visited some good profile with good merits and I checked their merits history and read some of their posts, by doing it, I get some ideas on how can I create good content. Sharing your personal experiences, skills, and knowledge would be a goo possible way for you to earn merits and that is what I am doing right now. Even though I am not that really good poster, I can still say that I am receiving merits from good reputable members of this forum that makes me so proud of myself.

832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Problem Gambling in the wake of covid-19 on: September 22, 2020, 05:52:03 AM
This pandemic virus makes some other people focused on online gambling, they have free time and one way to kill the boredom is to gamble, it makes them entertained especially when playing with friends and it can make them earn money as well and lose their money most of the time. Losing in gambling would not affect the willingness of an addict in gambling because they are thinking that they should play more in order to turn back the money

I am not that so addicted to gambling so most of the answers to the questions are "NO", actually it will only get positive for those people who are addict to gambling. They cannot control themselves so well while playing because they find gambling as a way of entertainment and a source of money sometimes. Winning the game and earning money makes a person play gambling, it has a good feeling it is also applicable for every aspect of our lives.
833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greatest Gambling Losers on: September 22, 2020, 05:01:15 AM
That can be called as gambling addiction, they cannot quit gambling even though they already lost a huge amount of money, the money that has lost for each person mentioned above is not a joke, it is all huge amount of money, even though rich people will suffer if they lost it so quickly. For those people who can control themselves in gambling, they should visit or consult for some professionals especially for the psychiatrist, they can give some good advice for you to stop being addicted to it.

If you lose on gambling, you should know to stop, this is the bad thing for gamblers, whenever they lose the game and lost their money they will still play because of thinking that they may win it and turn back their money but they end up losing again a huge amount of money, they will only stop once they don't have the money to bet or to gamble.
834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TOP FIVE SECRETS OF MAKING IT BIG IN BETTING WORLD on: September 22, 2020, 04:32:15 AM
Gambling is really a risky way of earning money, in my experience of betting I also lost huge amount of money but even though it always happen it doenst make me stop it because of thinking that I could recover the money that I have lost, well this is my mindset before when I am really addicted in gambling. I always focused on gambling and I did not even do some other priority, like spending time with my friends and family becaus I only want to play and it makes me so entertained especially when I win the game.

Always remember that good handling of money makes you a good gambler, skills and knowdlege can be useful as well especially in some skill-based gambling but handling is really the useful one. You should also know when to stop and continue to play, when you ar aalready ahead then I think that is the time that you may quit playing and save your money.
835  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk, as a financial institutes. on: September 22, 2020, 03:43:31 AM
Bicointalk becomes very popular because it has the purpose of having a discussion about cryptocurrency and blockchain, basically, those people who want to learn more about the crypto world, joined this forum, just like what I did, I am really inspired to one of my friends that I can say a successful one and it is all because of bitcoin or crypto world. He joined this forum way back 2016 and he already learned many things about it. He already has a car, house and lot, and some businesses. I am also hoping that I could learn more things here like good trading, investing, and mining as well.

You should also avoid some fake websites, always remind yourself that scammers are always there and they will try their best just to steal money from other people. Always choose to invest in some legit website just like what other members have mentioned. Just know the basics of cryptocurrency first. Always observe the movement of the market it will also help you to earn good profit from investing. Things will go rough from investing, especially if you don't put extra effort and time on it.
838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What is Decentralized Finance? on: September 21, 2020, 11:02:35 AM
What Is DEFI (Decentralized Finance) ?
 - It is a development with a target of having another financial system, where you don't need to go to any banks or getting attached physically from other people. DEFI also depends on cryptography, blockchain, and smart contracts. Smart contracts are the main building blocks of DEFI which means that without it there is also no DEFI and most of the DEFI are made from ethereum.

It makes several entities have a copy of every transaction which means that is not only single, it is a central source. It is good because they can limit the speed and sophistication of the transactions and at the same time offering users less direct control of their money. This thing also stands out from legacy payment methods, wherein there is always a middle man or authority who controlled the transaction and is authorized to stop it and record it in the ledger, which this cryptocurrency all of that is cut out of the picture.
Most of the application under DeFi are built with ethereum, it is easier to use for creating other applications beyond simple transactions.

Difference Between DEFI and CEFI
DEFI:
Quote
1. permissionless
2. no KYC Required
3. open source encouraging free collaboration
4. censorship-resistant
5. cheaper mostly network fees
6. built on the blockchain

CEFI:
Quote
1. permission
2. KYC Required
3. closed source decisions made behind closed doors
4. can be censored
5. expensive intermediaries charging hefty fees
6. built on old foundations

They also have to mention the potential risks associated with DEFI.

1. One of the main risks for DeFi is the bugs from smart contracts and the changes in protocol that cam affect the existing contract. The clients will bring extra insurance to lessen the possible issues.

2. Strictly need general checking how decentralized the DeFi project is as well as the procedure for shutting down, if there are unusual things happen, someone has the admin key to shut down the protocol

3. Resource cost can be also a fundamental problem which may bring about a course of liquidations over numerous DeFi protocols.

4. Network fees and blockage is also considered as a problem.

DeFi FAQ
1. "How do I make money with DeFi?"
Quote
- Using Ethereum-based lending apps, as mentioned above, users can generate “passive income” by loaning out their money and generating interest from the loans.

2. "Is investing in DeFi safe?"
Quote
- No, it’s risky. Many believe DeFi is the future of finance and that investing in the disruptive technology early could lead to massive gains.
But, it’s difficult for newcomers to separate the good projects from the bad. And, there’s been plenty of bad.

3. "When will DeFi go mainstream?"
Quote
- While more and more people are being drawn to these DeFi applications, it’s hard to say where they’ll go. Much of that depends on who finds them useful and why. Many believe various DeFi projects have the potential to become the next Robinhood, drawing in hoards of new users by making financial applications more inclusive and open to those who don’t traditionally have access to such platforms.

4. "How will Ethereum 2.0 impact DeFi?"
- Ethereum 2.0 isn’t a panacea for all of DeFi’s issues but it’s a start. Other protocols such as Raiden and TrueBit are also in the works to further tackle Ethereum’s scalability issues.

839  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for salary on: September 21, 2020, 09:28:45 AM
I think these things are possible for those countries that consider bitcoin as legal, there are still some countries who don't use any cryptocurrency so for sure they wouldn't be recommended for that thing, one issue for this is also if the countries are good at bitcoin then what if the employee in the company is not using any bitcoin wallet or they don't have any knowledge about cryptocurrency, I think it would be hard for them if this would be the situation.

Your idea is really good especially at this time, but I think the majority will still prefer to be paid through their bank accounts.
840  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Satoshi Stop bitcoin? on: September 21, 2020, 08:08:03 AM
Even though Satoshi is the one who created the bitcoin, I don't think that he can stop it because there are already many changes happened after he created it, no one can stop it, and for sure it would require big finances, great tram and knowledge to do it. Well, I dont think that Satoshi Nakamoto wouldnt think about stopping bicoin because there are many people who are using and get benefits from it. Why would he choose to delete it if he knows how good it is to many people.
