I dunno how far it will sync...but it can connect. At least for me. Wink

Dunno why...

I  noticed the built date of your linux wallet is July 24th - but there were 4 commits on July 25th on github: https://github.com/TrianglesProject/triangles/commits/master

Didn do the math (timezone conversion), but are you sure ur wallet is compiled from latest src?

I did not use downloaded source, I always used git clone
Code:
git clone https://github.com/TrianglesProject/triangles

Yes, but WHEN did u do that? Your wallet compilation date seems to be prior to the last commits?

I get that there are probably syncing issues....but why doesnt my wallet (the win wallet) not even connect for you - while it connects fine for me? 2 diffferent locations, 2 different ips, two different computers?

Look at the time I posted first time. I was solo mining from beginn. Version 3.3.4.3 was running fine until it stopped syncing. Updated to 3.3.4.4, but nothing changed. Deleted all data and tried to resync. Since then my wallet was never synchronised. Tried it even with different openssl versions (>1.0.1f until 1.0.1i), which took much time, as I had to replace pretty bunch of packages during these tests. It's was not issue of mint. Results do not differ from each other, no matter which OS or OpenSSL version.

Dev, please fix wallet, I am asking that for almost a week now!

Why can I connect with my win wallet but you cant if its a wallet problem?
824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TRI] on: July 28, 2014, 11:33:44 AM
Like I said, now no version connects, this is your compiled wallet for windows

same here as the wallet is not syncing and no connections to the node.

So its obvious YOU have a problem, not the wallet.

Thats me with the same windows wallet:

The wrong block estimate is due to that 9027 blocks client...

825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TRI] on: July 28, 2014, 11:18:24 AM
Wallet is broken! It does not sync. I am using latest opeenssl and tried it on different linux systems.

Conclusion: wallet is broken. I remember that I could pass 9002 block only with v3.3.3.3, but version <3.3.4.4 will not connect to any peer (now even 3.3.4.4 does not work). Dev is not saying anything  Angry

I asked couple of times if somebody of people that say everything is working can delete all data and resync. If they try, they'll se that it does not work. If dev implemented this for pumps & dumps, then it's really ugly, please repair wallet!!!

Price falled today really much and I can't withdraw anything from my wallet.

Are you the guy with 9027 blocks?

After further examination, wallet seems fine.

win32 wallet v 3.3.4.4 illuminatus (compiled with MIN_PROTO_VERSION 70001 in version.h):

https://mega.co.nz/#!9J9DFZYa!YnJ8FShl774_z7YI4kFEdt6GeyPFz1jkNh1VWvnRXR8

Unfortunately I have problems syncing - i think it might be due to this 9027 blocks peer at the bottom:

(got stuck at block 9000 @ first sync attempt, restartet wallet, then stuck @ 9500, restarting a few times again managed me to get to block 10000 - but thats it so far.)

Please do further testing.

Also: That client with 9027 blocks: go away!

Good news: I actually compiled a working windows wallet.

Bad news: Didnt realise sources were changed 3 days ago. Have to recompile but that should be no real problem, expect it in the next hours since i have to go to wage slavery now.

You know why.

Edit: Older wallets (ie the Mac Version from more than 3 days ago) wont probably currently work any more due to code changes 3 days ago. Someone compile current linux and mac wallets please.

Windows wallet?

giving it a try again....
829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TRI] on: July 26, 2014, 03:04:40 AM
Update: Had more to work @ work than i hoped for so i didn't manage to compile the win wallet yet.

On it now.

Edit: Ok, its compiling now, will take a while - didn't bother to assign more CPUs or RAM to the Vm. :|

Fingers crossed.

Edit 2: Something went wrong. Digging.

I wish you the best. I spent 8+ hours trying to setup a windows build environment and it still doesn't work :/

Ok, i gave up too. Will try again on sunday.

Ok, i think i will start messing around with that windows wallet.

Might take a few hours though, i am currently at work so only slow progress (i have to start from scratch, started with installing a vm).

now its 8 hours and not a single block found by the pool!!!! pathetic...

wtf? which pool?
url?
833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TRI] on: July 24, 2014, 05:54:19 PM
If i understood this right, we need a staking wallet to get the blockchain moving. We obviously have none currently -> MAC wallets not staking, win wallets not existing/also not staking, so no PoS blocks, no movement.

Do we need to convince bittrex or some pool (which still has coins in wallet) to put some of their coins on stake? Other ideas?

PS: If anybody here has a compiled, working wallet with coins in it: Bring it online! Smiley

PPS: Or am i wrong?

Did you contact bittrex directly? And what did they say? If not - why not? Smiley
835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TRI] on: July 24, 2014, 06:10:34 AM
A compiled windows wallet would be awesome.

More staking then.

wallet crashes at first start (win 8.1 x64, works at second attempt)

Anyone want to join in with me to offer a donation for compiled windows wallet?

I'm on mac, but we should get a windows wallet compiled.

no point in that as long as the blockchain is stuck.

The OP is a riddle. This coin was never meant to go anywhere. Dev honestly intends to wait you out until he can buy all of your coins to complete his alt-coin masterpiece. I believe the triangle is meant to symbolize everyone who is taking part and he intends to be the capstone over you all. Now you know why.

Well, thats not really possible with amounts of coins stuck in wallets because the blockchain isn't moving.

I wonder why bittrex shows no reaction yet...like disabled notice or sth.
839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TRI] on: July 22, 2014, 10:06:42 PM
once PoW is over, and you all have dumped everything, when the marked is dead, and all hope seems lost.

Someone will buy every single coin from every one of you and set the price at the top of the pyramid.

You know why.

Decent launch, pools, good hashrates, Bittrex, then poof.

Wait until the price drops, acquire, announce new feature(s), profit.

I think I'll hodl a while.  That may be why...

Same. Wink
