Any suggestions?
up till now all focus has been directed towards miners. what I am noticing is that miners lose interest fast plus new coins are popping up all the time. there are now more cryptos than fiat currency. the crypto world is setting up for a massive crash. only coins that have become more than just a miners hobby will survive. quarkbar needs to change focus to investors instead of miners. Miners are only 50%. After the coins are mined they need to be traded. innovations geared towards miners is good initially but miners move on fast if the coin is too hard to sell. We need to figure out how to get more people to trade and invest in Quarkbar. We need innovations directed towards trading and investing. Quarkbars trading community is so small right now that it only takes one person to block trading. If we had more quality places to trade we would attract more traders. Quarkbar's next focus should be directed towards investorsn not miners. Good point! Quarkbar is really strong at the moment network wise, so miners are not a concern indeed. Getting on a bigger exchange is very hard and really depends on the whim of the owners. We do have a strong platform on which to build extra features for example. Any suggestions? I am a strong supporter of QB. And I agree, QB is positioned well. We just need to figure out how to raise awareness and interest. i'll do some brainstorming and PM you with any ideas so we can discuss. |

Let this be a lesson to all future altcoins, going away for a two week hiatus at your coins peak (even though the internet is accessible from everywhere) is not a good idea.
Kudos to the CRF for capturing the devs scam coins and breathing what life it did back into the coin but unfortunately the quarkbar market never materialised, the android app is broken, qb didn't premier it's own algorithmic innovation because it was given to (absolutely worthless) frycoin instead, most exchanges have now dropped it and those of us who remain are here in the hope of seeing a high of 600-800 satoshi again so we can dump our coins and get the hell out.
Hell I'd accept 400 at this point.

Did your account get hacked derrend? this doesn't seen like something you would normally say. its going to take time to get to where we want QB to be. stick with it and help make QB grow.  You get it.:-) Im in for the long haul  |

Hey guys! My android wallet wont connect to any peers. Does anybody have a trusted peer that works?
We would not recommend using that at the moment, because it is not on the new chain yet. thanks. how long will it be before its on the new chain? not a big deal as long as I know it will be, because I have all my coins stored there. as long as I know I wont lose them its not a problem. |

He's doing nobody any favours least of all himself, the order directly above him is almost twice the price. Not the sharpest tool in the shed it seems  Don't know what he is thinking. Just high enough to make people not want to buy them all. Idiot!  If a couple of people are willing to buy for 0.1 btc (should be possible), we can break this together! We could do this as a combined effort. PM me if you want to join this, so we can fix this. Even if people buy .01btc worth of QB. we can do this. |

I have contacts in the entertainment industry and have cobbled some thoughts for crypto utilization, whether it is QB or another for that matter. I do like QB’s longevity and algo, I believe it is all really a matter of implementation.
Thoughts on integration/use. Promote the use of QB for entertainment venue purchases, i.e. ticket sales, food and beverage and event merchandise.
This would be the pinnacle of use evolution and will take time and require an incentive for consumers to use QB.
Incentive to use could be derived from perceived discounts ...example 15-20% discount on purchases using QB vs USD at current market rates. This is easily manipulated by overpricing actual retail in USD. This is only one example.
Another approach is to utilize sponsorship monies to bridge a discount gap....i.e...QB gives discount (10-20% vs USD) and in turn affiliates with an event/product sponsor, part of sponsor monies go to purchase QB on market, effectively boosting market value and returning discounted percentage. There are easier ways to do this type of value exchange but the point is to create market support.
Consumers will want a platform that is easy to use. Most people don't own Bitcoin let alone know how to get it. So I say skip that step when it comes to paying with QB. Example:
"Pay with USD $20.....Pay with QB $17.50"
Obviously consumers will want to pay less in USD, the format they are familiar with. This is where the perception comes in on a consumer level, unlike you or I would see it, BTC/QB market comparison. We really only need to get $17.50 for our product, but if they want to pay in USD then fine, our gain.
The point is to get consumers, on a transactional level, to not really think about using a crypto as payment, the concept is still too foreign. That is like me paying you with wheat futures, its an equivalent transaction but too much thinking.
This integration/illusion could likely be done through (and I'm not a programmer so pardon me if I'm wrong) an internal live api market app USD/BTC/QB running in background at all points of sale keeping profit margins intact by adjusting pricing as necessary should it fall out of line. This can also create a sense of "I better buy now before the price changes."
On the BTC market side QB could gain public interest through any and all of it's venue participation by having trade, value and asset promotion links and market info available, that is to those that would have further questions/interest.
Rebranding and /or forking may also be an option to provide specialized shares for target market venues/products…. environmental conscious product/service….donation/cause based...special event...etc…

I like this idea. Can work very easily in just about any market. Any payment platform can be set up for multiple currency and discounts. The major thing QB would need is higher level trading avenue. Companies that would accept QB as payment would need to know they could trade for USD or BTC quickly and easily. I think if we could get listed on Bittrex, Bter and/or Cryptsy, we could show companies that QB can be traded quickly and easily. Next step should be to get listed on top exchanges. We need more people to see and trade Quarkbar! |

are no wrong ideas or answers Anybody contemplated starting a pulse based quarkbar fork from a fresh genesis block? Existing Quarkbar (and possibly frycoin but prob not) holders could exchange their existing tokens for pulse based ones through a proof of burn process Would benefit active community members, leave behind dead coins in dead wallets, not have the majority of the blockchain already mined and shortened, not have a shaky beginning as a scamcoin etc. The coin could be called 'PULSE' after the algorythm itself so any coin based on it afterwards would be indirectly promoting the coin, just like 'Quark based' indirectly promotes Quarkcoin and identifies it as the original. This could be the case with 'PULSEcoin'? Now that seams like a great idea. I feel this would be a step backward. We have brought QB so far since the takeover. To start over with a new coin now would erase all the hard work done thus far. Most people that discover QB like its attributes. We need to make QB usable, that's all. Once we get uses for QB, the sky is the limit. |

Allcoin takes big bribes, how is it that saurezcoin just launched July 1st is already listed July 3rd when voting doesn't end until July 4th?
Same can be said about firecoin and britcoin, why do these coins get to bypass the voting system when they are not well supported by the community?
Allcoin is either taking big pay from scam coins or a part of the scam coin.
I don't get your point. Exchanger is only a third party for buyer and seller. They dont act as "police" to verify which coin can and which one cannot put in their system. Is their main business to pick profitable coin in their platform? As long as their honest with the trade and dont run with our money, i am ok with any "shitcoin" going in and should you do your own dd before you jump in. In my opinion allcoin is one of the most honest exchanges available. Every time I try using a different exchange, I always go back to allcoin. They are one of the few exchanges that are legit. |

Looks like we have been delisted from CCEX. My coins are locked in the delisted section.
The first time we have gone backwards since the CRF took over  May be a little setback but the way I see it is that ccex is not a big deal. QB was only listed there for a month. If they cant give QB time to get noticed then we don't want to be listed there anyway. We should only concentrate on getting listed on major exchanges like bittrex and cryptsy. Allcoin has been good to us and has stuck with us through everthing. Plus their volume is rising all the time. Props to allcoin. We should do what we can to promote allcoin and help them grow!  |
