821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: August 23, 2020, 05:43:02 PM
Only a couple of hours to go now, it’s the big one Sad
I have hope for Bayern but PSG are so dangerous attacking. This is going to be close, extra time & penalties would not be a surprise.

Expecting a rough match too, but I think that the superior physical force of Bayern's players will push the balance with a pound or two.
The merit is on their side as well. Beating Barcelona is no easy task no matter what day you face them.
822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you fear the president of your country, one day, making Crypto illegal ? on: August 22, 2020, 07:33:23 PM
This would be similar to people not being able to hold physical gold legally, but you will still find many people hoarding them even more hastily because of this "restriction".
With the numerous ways to hide your identity online like VPNs and using decentralized exchanges and over-the-counter transactions, I'd go ahead and say with confidence that a ban on cryptocurrencies will raise their value even higher.

Regarding the president of my country, I haven't seen him even talking about cryptocurrencies yet, so I can't make an affirmation on that.
823  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and crypto currencies are getting dangerous on: August 22, 2020, 06:58:12 PM
If completing KYC is a problem for you, then you will be surprised how many people actually have possession of your personal data. Starting from banks to utility and service companies to online service providers of any kind.

Now.. of course that you should only provide your data to registered companies which actually have regulation like GDPR. But again, you have NO GUARANTEE whatsoever that the company is not selling or leaking info about yourself to third parties & you're also exposed to hackers.

As an alternative to centralized exchanges you can do P2P/OTC transactions. Wink
Actually I know a crypto project that is working on offering cross-chain P2P transactions.

826  Local / India / Re: Cashaa hacked. 336 BTC Stolen. on: July 12, 2020, 06:17:05 AM
I don't want to be rude, but Cashaa asked for it. I mean no one should trust 336 BTC with a web wallet. Let's be serious. Did they, at least, had 2FA activated or some extra security features like whitelisting?
However, this amount should have been held in a cold wallet by the company or with a custodian, but not in a crappy web wallet.
827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Ann] YouEngine - decentralized, tokenized advertising platform 📣📣📣 on: July 11, 2020, 04:35:07 PM
If anybody started to beta test the YouApp can we get some reviews with screenshots? I would like to get a glimpse of how this project is going to shape the future of digital advertising.
828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One mistake and l have lost all bitcoin on: July 11, 2020, 02:19:32 PM
It's good that you shared this. It is part of the process of accepting and letting go of that mistake. Don't waste time thinking about the mistake. Just learn your lesson and move on. Remember that there are no free "pies" in this world. Always ask yourself - if I make 10%/day how comes that not all the people do it? Are you special (worked hard or have extensive knowledge on a subject) or is there something fishy in the middle?
829  Economy / Services / Re: How not to pay taxes on Bitcoin on: July 10, 2020, 06:01:18 PM
I think people should be honest and just pay the taxes. After all, their scope is to help the society and provide public infrastructure for which they are mostly used. Yes, corruption happens quite a lot and some people steal money. However this should not be a reason to not pay taxes.
830  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is More Popular Than Traditional Banks on: July 05, 2020, 04:47:35 PM
According to the cyber media Tokenist, based on the results of their survey not long ago. The survey involved 4,852 respondents from 17 countries. According to the survey the number of people who trust Bitcoin more than large banks, increased by 29 percent in the last three years. The survey also showed differences in the generation's views about Bitcoin and traditional banks. 51 percent of millennials trust Bitcoin more than traditional banks.

It is encouraging indeed to see that bitcoin popularity is on the rise. I'd say that as with everything people need a "break-in" period  so they get comfortable to the new technology although the new generations are more responsive to innovations.

In my country banks are trying to come with applications and budget management solutions. However they miss the whole point here - with Bitcoin we don't need to trust anyone with our money and we can have real privacy in our transactions. IMO the best way forward for the banks is to start building the infrastructure for cryptocurrencies - like following the DeFi model.
831  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Hashrate Increases on: July 05, 2020, 04:30:04 PM
This tells me that the miners are financially stable and they handle their operations professionally. A healthy mining network is good for Bitcoin, we just need to work more on the adoption part.
Hashrate increase = difficulty increase = mining costs increase
832  Other / Archival / Re: Crypto Publications Available. on: July 05, 2020, 12:32:36 PM
Maybe he is offering his service for free, who knows? Smiley
OP you should clarify this. Also I'd be curious of what publications you are talking about? It makes a great difference between a platform with thousands of daily visits or one who barely gets a hundred in a week.
833  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My friend passed away and he have Bitcoin in his wallet on: July 04, 2020, 07:04:35 PM
If you're a good friend you definitely want to tell their parents about it. Maybe help them educated themselves about Bitcoin so they don't ask you to sell the Bitcoin (assuming that they don't have the computer literacy to do it themselves). Teach one old man and he will teach the whole neighbourhood  Wink

Good luck with it, man and I'm sorry to hear about your friend.. May he rest in peace!
834  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I wish there was an option to invest in multiple coins via one purchase on: July 03, 2020, 07:57:00 PM
So there use to be a cryptoverse option on Gemini where it would in vest in each currency based off of market cap, there for bitcoin was granted the largest percent, ether 2nd.
I know Gemini got rid of this feature however if there was a way to invest weekly, monthly or whatever and choose the allocation amount I think we would see a massive bitcoin boom based off of the majority of people buy bitcoin. along with such id be buying 75% bitcoin, 15% ether and 10% LINK. What is your opinion?

If you know the basics of a programming language you can easily code a program that tells you how much you invest in each of the coins you want based on your allocation. Automating the purchase in the exchange is a bit harder, but manageable. If you want you can PM me and we can make a deal for a fair price.  Grin
835  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Mistakes on: June 28, 2020, 04:15:53 PM
Learning from mistakes is applied in all jobs and industries. The only difference is that in trading & investing there are a lot of emotions linked to being wrong and losing your money. Frustration is the main reason that makes traders give up in my opinion. It is not an easy job indeed, it requires quite a lot of mental flexibility and also one needs to be able to control his emotions and know what he's doing.

I'd say that if anyone is looking for a great challenge - he/she should take on trading.
836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A lot of Americans still don't know what Bitcoin is on: June 28, 2020, 02:23:30 PM
I had two clients from America I want offer graphics designing jobs for, I demanded my payment would be in BitcoinBTC or Ethereum. To my greatest dismay, they were dumfounded on what Bitcoin or Ethereum is. I am still suprised up to this very moment. Cheesy Roll Eyes

The world is filled with ignorants who prefer to live in their own "cozy" worlds, but when something happens with the "system" it is never their fault.
This just shows how much more exposure can cryptocurrencies gain - the average joe doesn't know what Bitcoin is, not even talking about using it. Anyway - you can get that payment in FIAT and DUMP it like a boss for some precious crypto. Wink
837  Economy / Services / Re: EXPERIENCED CRYPTO WRITER on: June 28, 2020, 02:16:33 PM
Hey there, I suggest sending your resume to crypto media platforms out there. I have seen that many of them are looking for writers. I can send you a list I have compiled in PM if that helps you (for free - of course). Just let me know if you want it.
838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Australia post office now accepts Bitcoin on: June 26, 2020, 06:58:06 AM
There are more and more signs that Bitcoin is ready to take off. A few days ago PayPal and now the fact that Australian Post Offices are supporting Bitcoin is encouraging news.
In my country there are some forex exchange shops that offer this feature. However Australia is on whole other level. Keep it up!!
839  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Does Anyone know good webpage to buy bitcoin with credit card..Please Help!! on: June 26, 2020, 05:50:46 AM
There are many major exchanges like Binance and I think Kraken too that accept credit cards nowadays. But pay attention that the fees are about 5% of your transaction. If you are not in a hurry I'd say that buying by wire transfer is cheaper.
840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Enough of repetitive projects and old ideas on: June 21, 2020, 01:50:41 PM
Many new altcoins will die in the future because there won't be many investors investing money on them and as we know it we have many scammers here who will keep creating useless tokens and coins, if you are a developer and you think you are serious enough then try as hard as possible to come out with something new and different, enough of repetitive projects and same old ideas

Bring in something NEW or don't bother at all

Or maybe.. build on the existing infrastructure. The blockchain technology is here - no need to create new blockchains, but instead to create dapps and customize the tech to business and consumer needs. I'm disgusted about the amount of garbage projects being debited all the time as well. I'm wondering how much better would our world be if all these developers would contribute to solving problems.
