OMFG! I just had a terrible thought, guys. What if we're being trolled by Craig Wright as nullius?

The above inspired by Satoshi:

Quote
Bitcoin would be convenient for people who don't have a credit card or don't want to use the cards they have, either don't want the spouse to see it on the bill or don't trust giving their number to "porn guys", or afraid of recurring billing.

<funny how my mind sometimes work, for who else could've gone from A to B like I accomplished above?>

Craig Wright is not that smart nor able to contain his slimy demonstration of emotions.

Of course he is. He can pay someone with the technical knowledge to control the nullius account.

Which brings me to another thought. Maybe the forum is under attack by the Bitcoin Cash trifecta, RV, JV and CW by hiring people to flood the forum with low quality posts! Haha.

Which makes me think of another theory. The entire crypto space is under attack by Russians with an attempt to get nullius elected president of the US where nullius is really a US citizen.

That said, anybody have a sound theory centered around MIB?

Just a quick bump to coax users sitting on the fence to purchase YTC while they're still available for U$0.0025 each before jumping to the next price point tier of U$0.10 each. The minimal order is U$10, but you'll receive a free PAQ for each U$100 purchase; a U$500 purchase rewards you with 10 free PAQs.

PAQs have been thoroughly discussed in this thread and elsewhere, but feel free to inquire if the concept eludes you.

Special thanks to the recent and all supporters to date.

I believe Craig Steven Wright is the person who invented nullius.

I was flown to London to meet Dr. Wright a couple of weeks ago, after an initial email conversation convinced me that there was a very good chance he was the same person I’d communicated with on BCT. After spending time with him I am convinced beyond a reasonable doubt: Craig Wright is nullius.

Part of that time was spent on a careful cryptographic verification of messages signed with keys that only nullius should possess. But even before I witnessed the keys signed and then verified on a clean computer that could not have been tampered with, I was reasonably certain I was sitting next to a genius.

During our meeting, I saw the brilliant, opinionated, focused, generous – and privacy-seeking – person that matches the nullius I worked with six years ago. And he cleared up a lot of mysteries, including why he disappeared when he did and what he’s been busy with since 2011. But I’m going to respect Dr. Wright’s privacy, and let him decide how much of that story he shares with the world.

We love to create heroes – but also seem to love hating them if they don’t live up to some unattainable ideal. It would be better if nullius was the codename for an NSA project, or an artificial intelligence sent from the future to advance our primitive money. He is not, he is an imperfect human being just like the rest of us. I hope he manages to mostly ignore the storm that his merit giving will create, and keep doing what he loves– learning and research and innovating.

I am very happy to be able to say I shook his hand and thanked him for giving the world to BitcoinTalk.

Gavin Andresen

Funny enough that I PM;ed you to perform another simple task at nullius' expense that's bound to garner giggles.

Then you have the mythology surrounding Satoshi Nakamoto, the anonymous listed inventor of bitcoin and its underlying blockchain technology. A mysterious character who creates 880,000 bitcoins of dubious value whose value is propped up by a public enthralled by stories of newly minted crypto millionaires? That’s not going to end well. Throw in a twist where one person allegedly manipulated prices on the Mt. Gox currency exchange to drive the price from $150 to $1,000, and it all sounds like a Hollywood film. The red flags are right out there in the open, waving in the wind.

But the public should know by now how these kinds of movies end: with a few people getting rich and a whole lot of people losing money.

Despite the damn-the-man libertarian framing of cryptocurrency as the great democratizer of wealth, just 1,000 people own 40% of the entire bitcoin market (which was valued at over $200 billion in early 2018, and now hovers somewhere over $100 billion depending on the massive daily fluctuations).

That’s not the currency of the future—that’s a giant multi-level marketing scheme.

Anyway, I have always maintained that bitconnect lending turned out to be a better system for cryptocurrencies than staking (I'm not saying it was planned that way, it just turned out that way). It was actually deflationary throughout in bitconnect's case (rather than inflationary for normal PoS staking) although hopefully bitconnect sold the extra coins as profit to market themselves and help grow the coin value.

Bitconnect should have found other uses and incentives to purchase the BCC coin to prop up the price which would have been easy to do as selling pressure would always remain low (remember the lending coins would take months to be released even if they reduced the interest rates to almost nothing when growth eventually slowed) and it would have carried on as long as it wanted.

It's a shame all these people who weren't even in bitconnect (but were obviously deluded about cryptocurrency) had to complain so much and get state security boards and subpoenas involved etc. but BCC is still going and I'm currently staking the coins (7% per month). They are holding a steady price at the moment but I'm guessing the price will go up again. Bitconnect and Bitconnectx have definitely stated they want to bring the price back up in the future, not least to help those more recent investors who lost money with bitconnect and they also hold millions of coins themselves.

In what universe would their brainiacs invest in a coin that has been, or will be delisted from all the exchanges, thus being excluded from inclusion on CMC?

Which of the following seems most likely?

BitConnect's principals are holding regular meetings in formulating policy so to best enrich their clients.

Or ...

BitConnect's principals meetup for a few minutes over tea to discuss its for-real-this-time exit strategy.

If that's the case, then Gavin Andresen is alia..

I wouldn't've had a clue as to the reference if I wasn't brought up to speed a couple hours ago upon reading nullius' recent posts.

I'm still waiting for the first person to refer to him as Nutlius besides here, an alluded to sentiment I would not adhere to, with apologies to the mighty Nulliuster for even mentioning it.  Kiss Kiss Kiss

Now let's play Jeopardy!

Contestant: Classic Sitcoms for 100, Alex.
Alex Trebek: The answer is nullius, nullius, nullius.
Contestant: Who is Jan Brady's missing brother?
Alex Trebek: Correct.

"simple terms"; the use of buoyancy is a necessary evil here without going into a very long-winded discussion. The best I can do is say that the dome is electrified and that acts on the atmosphere or aether in the case of a vacuum and the pressure from being displaced acts on the object while defining up and down.

If buoyancy were necessary, why would it be an evil, and not simply a fact?

Oh, I get it. Buoyancy as an evil is simply semantics to attempt to replace gravity with different words.

Cool

It's obviously nullius' fault. Everyone is now forced to use a dictionary due to his fancy-worded essays. Three months ago y'all would have thought it means "promising". Also blame the merit system just because.

I guess somebody would've eventually gotten around to doing it so I opted to picked up the mantle.

Introducing CoinNullius (CNUS) opposed to NulliusCoin in the spirit of nullius' wordsmith prowess which everybody and their brother is are now aspiring to be like ...

"Hello, everyone. I'm Marina Orlova of Hot for Words. Today's word is nullius, Latin for ..."

CoinNullius is a military-grade cryptocurrency with 100% anonymity consisting of just one coin cuz there's nothing else like it. Its blockchain is secretly hidden on the Net accessible by ONLY one person in the galaxy whose true identity is unknown. There will be no ICO in distributing fractions of CNUS cuz ICOs are bad, mmmkay.

The white paper will be release once translated to Kingon then transcribed to Voynishi complete with flowery and nude illustrations. Expect completion time approximately 24 hours if nullius isn't interrupted by dribble penned by lowly posters.

The idea YuTü.Co.in is interesting.  Tell me please.  How many People are working on this project?   Gratitude.

Currently, six in total: Myself; Albert on the exchange aspect, he owning the license which we'll eventually purchase from him; and four others working on other aspects of the site. There also is an acquaintance versed in crypto who acts as an advisor of sorts. That dude knows his shit.

This is no small undertaking with shortly down the road, once Beta, the endeavor will need a somewhat large dedicated full-time staff to maintain the system, and that's not counting in-house or farmed-out support, predominantly paid for via the selling of PAQs (virtual miner/hasher) currently available for U$25 each, eventually maxing at U$500 each.

Think of YuTü.Co.in as a mashup between Patreon + Max Keiser's Hollywood Stock Exchange (HSX) + crypto.

Thanks for the reply, bud.

I just found this little gem of a thread and love this type of thing. I am a big time newbie to crypto still and I could spend days reading his post history. Too bad I won't know what much of it means...I already went through quite a bit and his writing is elegant and refined, but for me, it is hard to understand (technically speaking).
