Now theoritically I knew that if I restore old wallet.dat it won't affect any balance. But all of sudden some balances are negative (like from 98 it changed to -295962.45329679) and some balance have changed. I am looking for balances using listaccounts api call.
One last thing, I have a backup script which takes backup everyday. But wallet.dat file from different days is showing different balances.
Urgent Help needed, please help me.
Try to start your restored wallet with -rescan, this will rescan the chain for any transactions your wallet.db backup had missed. HTH

This coin is going to be delisted from Novaexchange if it does not receive any new blocks... anyone interested in it?
It seems Novaexchanges FRN wallet is stuck, I mined a few blocks some days ago but their block count didn't go up and I eventually gave up on it.

Ok, wallet on Bittrex disabled, on Poloniex delisted and now delisted at TradebyTrade as well?
What's left?
Novaexchange's FLO market (once they re-upon for new users): https://novaexchange.com/market/BTC_FLO/

When making a JSON call, RPC to bitcoind, what is the "account" parameter in getNewAddress(account). What does 'account' mean? and where I am supposed to get it?
Try an empty string for account, which addresses the default account. Most BTC/LTC based wallets allow the organisation of your wallet into "accounts", though hardly anybody uses this feature AFAIK. HTH

I have submitted a ticket to Cryptopia about the delisting. It seems very sudden that they would delist the SPACE coin.
We will look for other exchanges to list the coin. YObit is the last on the list, they have a lot of coins hostage on their exchange, and not just SPACE.
We will keep you up to date on what is happening.
I have also submitted a ticket to cryptopia . Seems we comply to the terms but have a problem with low volume. Seems the entire crypto market is slowing down. I encourage the space community to contact cryptopia and ask they halt the de listing for now . Submitted a ticket as well, sincerely hoping they will reconsider that decision.

hi- can i find a wallet somewhere? v0.8.6.2 seems to be outdated ...
*"errors" : "URGENT: Alert key compromised, upgrade required"
That is the current version in use by most nodes. Never mind about the alert key error, it just means the alert key has been disabled by the owner so that it can't be abused in the future. BTC and many other chains did this before. Check below post to get a more verbatim explanation of what this error means: https://lists.linuxfoundation.org/pipermail/bitcoin-dev/2018-July/016189.htmlHTH

Cryptopia delisted SPACE today with immediate effect.
i want to exchange my fund to another coin but they re not allowing, the sell button has changed to market closing and when you select it, it does not work... i dont know how to go about this to get another currency, now they said on the paid all open transaction are closed, and all fund must be withdraw, and withdrawal will only work for space to space address... i can ssee this people want me to dust my coin Yobit also has SPACE listed, though I would strongly recommend against trying to deposit there, a majority of wallets is not working at Yobit, best to avoid them completely. Novaexchange also has SPACE listed but they still do not accept new users yet, so for the moment your only choice might be to withdraw to your own SPACE wallet and hope for better times.. I wonder if any of the devs have been approached by 'topia before delisting..

Simply by transmitting your transaction in binary form via smoke signals (or other means able to carry a binary signal) to someone who is connected to the network and can broadcast your transaction then on behalf of you (probably takes some time, not recommended for over the counter purchases at Starbucks etc.). Sounds very similar to the good old "Transmission of IP Datagrams on Avian Carriers" which allows to send IP packets with the help of pigeons: https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc1149(Note the date in the RFC though!)

big scam You are right Second account? When we forked tips in 2016,Where is DEV? Scammer will kill tips Unfortunately ahmed has been gone since quite some time, I completely lost contact with him. myc066, as I understand it now, our beloved and well-aged TIPS will stay what it is and the team around robotsoutofcontrol will make a distribution of the new FED coin to all who hold TIPS on a to be determined snapshot date. I suppose this will be based on private keys of the TIPS wallet, so it could be compared to the BTC/BCH fork. As far as I understood, TIPS will stay tradeable and mineable as it is right now, maybe this could be confirmed by the FED team. To me this sounds fair and sensible, I always said I do not want the original TIPS to disappear and stay what it is (excluding minor tweaks and security updates) and so far I don't see anything changing that. I hope robotsoutofcontrol can clarify if the old TIPS will stay listed on Novaexchange and Coinexchange and FED will be listed addiitionally on these and maybe other exchanges and not in place of TIPS. Cheers - psycodad

So, it's the 25th now, anything happening with the swap or do I have the dates wrong?
Coinexchange.io recently changed their announcement from "swap on 30th Sep" to The date of this is undecided and will be announced as soon as possible. It seems they know something we don't.

Unfortunately, the Slimcoin Community account has got Newbie status again due to the changed rank rules which require Junior Members to get a single Merit point, and thus currently dzarmush's header image is not showing.
Have a merit on me, certainly well deserved for all the work done for SLM (this goes certainly as well toward all others like gjhiggins, muf18 and many more who contributed). HTH

Also BTB seems to fork regulary. It's the third time now I had to resync from scratch and again down from 5 to 2 coins.
Thinking about giving up on that one.

There are a few things you would need to improve before your script gets useful and stops being dangerous for people using it: You should at least seed the random number generator first, but ideally you should not use the random module at all for tasks like this. The python docs for random say: Warning
The pseudo-random generators of this module should not be used for security purposes. Use os.urandom() or SystemRandom if you require a cryptographically secure pseudo-random number generator. For security and cryptographic purposes you should always use os.urandom, some examples of how to use it can be found here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/20936993/how-can-i-create-a-random-number-that-is-cryptographically-secure-in-pythonThe current version of your script most probably produces easy to predict passwords which are not secure at all. Thank you for your time to read my post! I'll upgrade the script following your suggestion ASAP. You're welcome. I think you could simply use os.urandom with hashlib.sha256 to create pretty random and secure passwords of any length, i.e.: import sys, os, hashlib, base64 pwlen = sys.argv[1] pw_hash = hashlib.sha256(os.urandom(128)) print base64.b64encode(pw_hash.hexdigest())[0:int(sys.argv[1])]
I am sure there are plenty of improvements for above method but it should give you and idea. Though if you are on a Linux system for example, you can do all of this in a bash one-liner. HTH

OK, I just got the news that BTM is beeing delisted from POLO. Now, on this occasion, I learned that a forked happened and the new coin name is MARKS....
But, Polo did not update the name.
SO, could you clarify what is the situation btw BTM and MARKS?
I also saw from Coinmarketcap, that ONLY cryptopia is listing the coin with the name MARKS.
WHERE can we move our BTM coins from POLO to?
Please, could I get an answer for my questions to help me understand what is the situation btw BTM and MARKS? thanks in advance BTM and MARKS are the same, they (Bitmark team) needed a new ticker for BTM on Cryptopia, as BTM on Cryptopia means Bytom so they went for MARKS on Cryptopia. You can check this back in this thread earlier. So BTMs you withdraw from Polo to Cryptopia for example become MARKS but it is still the same coin and blockchain. HTH
