Why isn't the difficulty history updated anymore?
It was updated manually, but then I decided to implement automatic update and not deployed it yet. Sorry about that.
thanks DeepBit, whoever you are ;)

"[Tycho]" is always [Tycho] and "DeepBit" may be [Tycho] or someone else authorized to make "official" statements and support :)

Are payouts not working? Just tried to do an instant payout, reach the success page, but the btc is still in my account and no payout is recorded. Known issue being worked on?
Yes, it's a known issue, already fixed.
You may request your payment again.

Just wondering if Deepbit is considering merged mining?
No plans for merged mining at this moment.

1-In wich moment the balance is updated, i know like was informed in server once per hour, but i need know an estimated in minutes XX hs:00 mins, XX hs:30 mins, etc That because somentimes when i submit my shares to some fasts block i detected that balance update is dalayed sometimes for more than 3 o 4 hours
It's not some fixed schedule for updates, it can happen in any minute.
Also, if you are mining in Proportional mode and we have long round (more than 1 hour) then next update will be displayed after length of that round + one hour.
There is also one more case when update can be delayed a bit if you are refreshing it less than once per hour, but overall it doesn't really matters. Sometimes meditation can help.

What  happening? When in the last 2 hours I only can see:
Please wait
You are requesting pages too fast, please wait 30 seconds.
This message is not related to the pool's total load, it can only be shown to some specific user who is trying to request multiple pages in seconds.
May be you or someone with exactly same IP address as you are using some kind of automatic webpage scraping or just constantly clicking on the "Refresh" button?
828  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Message To [Tycho] Deepbit operator, can not connect from one ISP/IP? on: October 10, 2011, 07:00:54 AM
Hello,
is there s blacklist of ip or something? From one of my ISP / IP I can not connect to deepbit.net.
traceroute stops here  14     *        *       80 ms  jsc-ic-131096-war-b1.c.telia.net [213.248.92.114]
The other 10 miners from other ISP/IP's do not have problems.
Sorry, we had some issues with the old DDoS-protection system.
829  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Deepbit Specific Help on: October 10, 2011, 06:59:34 AM
New to the mining scene, but recently I tried to withdraw some bitcoins from my deepbit account to my private wallet, and the transaction seemed to have failed.

The link on the deepbit site points here:
http://blockexplorer.com/tx/c50473a0d3a61acc924101752e4e3bb2e63e225318f84b6f829a333dcd2555be

And the transaction time shows up as 21.06.2011 20:17.
I later tried to withdraw a smaller amount, and that went through, but I'm still missing a chunk of bitcoins from the earlier transaction.
How can I get in contact with someone who can help me?
Sometimes transactions can take up to a few hours to be included/confirmed in worst case, this is normal.

If you have any questions, you can ask for support by sending a message to the e-mail address shown on the bottom of any of the pool's webpage.
830  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Deepbit seems to calculate me as PPS even though I'm Proportional. on: October 10, 2011, 06:56:15 AM
I have 3 PCs, pooling with deepbit. I have been using it for a few months with Proportional payout just fine.. Yesterday it my deepbit account showed that I'm getting PPS payments even though ALL my settings say "Proportional"... Also the calculator is "calculating" with PPS now. I'm vexed & am not to sure what's going on & any help is welcomed.
Reward calculator always shows values for PPS mode.
As for the mining: where exactly do you see that your workers are in PPS mode?
831  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: USERBARS - DEEPBIT on: October 10, 2011, 06:54:17 AM
I can't find this information anywhere, im really confused. I'm mining at Deepbit, but see no where to actually grab my userbar.
 It says on the side:
Last month updates: realtime chat support, second server for high availability (failover), userbars.
Can someone please point me in the right direction?
BBcode for userbar is at the bottom of advanced settings page.
Click on the "Advanced..." button.

I have an problem when i try to mine with guiminer it keeps hanging on starting it doesn't start mining does anyone know how to solve this?
Try asking in mining or guiminer support threads. This doesn't looks like caused by the pool.
833  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: DeepBit pool thread for newbies on: October 10, 2011, 05:45:48 AM
the last two don't even look like solved blocks
What do you mean by "don't even look like solved blocks"? How else can they be in the blockchain?

Just a brief estimate is I do on average 4-10 shares per minute. I wonder if it's faster if i should force all my gpu on 1 worker to get faster shares?
No, setting all miners to one worker account won't make any difference for the shares count. I recommend using different worker accounts for each GPU.

New mining pool with fair reward distribution: https://deepbit.net !

Forum thread for new forum members who can't post here: https://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=23678.0

Before this day there was only one bitcoin mining service (and NO pools with open registration), so I decided to create some alternative for people that prefer simple reward sharing scheme and fast payments. Feel free to participate with same miners as most of you already use for solo GPU or pooled GPU/CPU mining.
Service fee is 3%, no block confirmation is needed (your reward won't be recalled if block doesn't gets confirmed).

EDIT: Now you can try some new exciting feature - optional Pay-Per-Share mode is enabled in my pool. You can choose payments method for any of your workers, look at your account page for workers configuration. Current rate is 0.00002209487837767 BTC per share.

Our advantages
  • We notify your bitcoin miner about new block with the help of long polling. This allows us minimize the number of stale shares. (You can get up to a several percents higher results). Currently this mode is supported by latest version of poclbm OpenCL miner.
    Protocol description
  • We provide e-mail notifications on worker failure
  • We pay you for every solved block, even if it later fails to mature (up to 1.2% more)
  • You can take your reward at ANY moment, just press "Instant payout" button
  • You can choose between two payment modes
  • We credit your balance instantly, without 120 blocks delay
  • We have e-mail notifications on worker failure
  • We have open and free registration and do not limit the number of connections or users

If you already know how to use RPC miners, you can register a new account at http://deepbit.net and join the test, using deepbit.net hostname and 8332 port. Your e-mail is your login.
You can run separate miners on one account or create additional workers.

m0mchil's poclbm is recommended, DiabloMiner, puddinpop and jgarzik miners should work fine too.

m0mchil's:
poclbm.exe -d1 --host=pit.deepbit.net --port=8332 --user=example@example.com --pass=password

DiabloMiner:
./DiabloMiner-OS.sh/.bat -b -u example@example.com -p password -o pit.deepbit.net -r 8332 -v 2

ufasoft's SSE2 CPU miner:
bitcoin-miner.exe -a 5 -o http://pit.deepbit.net:8332 -u example@example.com -p password

Update your miners, please.

Long Polling is working now, so you can download latest poclbm miner and use it with DeepBit.
This new feature will eliminate stale shares and your mining efficiency may rise up to ~1.7% more on average (depends on your GPU speed and luck).

What is Long Polling ? Explained here.
