UPDATE: The match ends 2-3 to Estudiantes and is a total of 1 red card and 4 yellow cards..
My under booking points never stood a chance after the first half.  Tongue

Also, we got some updates for the Davis Cup as Australia edged out Czech Republic 2-1 earlier today. Most of us got the point with the Czech Republic exiting in the quarterfinals.

Tomorrow, i'll need some solid defense from PSG since I need a clean sheet from them to tie the score and if Trofo gets this right, then i'm done for this round.

Will City lose with a B team? Will Newcastle prevail? Will United bow out, or live another day?

UEFA Champions League Matchday 5 submissions are now open!
I noticed a small odds typo in the Pot B submission form for the Young Boys vs. Red Star Belgrade match. Their actual odds are 3.1 based on Rollbit's sportsbook.

I've actually got my stake on Man United again, I'd rather have a valid reason to hate them for the rest of the season, they let me down the last game week so, I'm having them on redemption trip now, it's either they do right by me or we'll be at loggerheads the reminder of the season.
I'm also thinking of the same strategy since I didn't secure a single point last time and relying on teams with odds close to even won't work for me anymore if I want to catch up with the rest.
823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in psychic betting? on: November 23, 2023, 12:33:51 AM
Do you take these Psychic predictions seriously?
Nope, but I used to follow one of these psychic predictions that became popular in sports betting because he relied on his wind chimes to determine if his team would win and his luck was impressive. It was a fun experience but it's still not enough for me to take them seriously like the way other bettors post their reasoning behind their predictions. And I agree with the other posts that said it's more of a coincidence when we see casinos share these lucky bets that some of their players manage to land.
824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 23, 2023, 12:01:44 AM
I believe Pacers are the top offensive team this season so far, just like their last game against the Hawks, they scored 157 points, that's impressive.
True. Their game yesterday against the Hawks was so intense due to both sides hitting their shots 60% of the time.

This might be a trap, but I have to go with Magic's first-half handicap (+2.5), as it still looks decent when the Nuggets don't have Murray on their lineup. Also, it's a road game for the Nuggets, which makes me think it evens out because they didn't win by a lot against the Pistons in their previous road game.

More NBA action on the MOTD promotion for today:
It appears the lines got taken down early again, so i'll settle with the daily special between the Timberwolves and Sixers. I'm backing the red-hot Timberwolves here since they're clicking while the Sixers lost yesterday in a tight finish against the Cavs and will be playing on a back-to-back with limited rest.

Also, I bounced back yesterday as the MOTD cashed with the Lakers winning comfortably and won all four quarters against the Jazz. I guess not posting the ticket helped. Tongue

Good thing someone got a goal during that Brazil vs Argentina match because it was about to go 0-0 with the defensive pace it was going and I thought i'll be down early in the round. Grin

I'm also okay with the Division 2 fee if it becomes a thing in the upcoming seasons. The "penalty fee" sounds interesting as it could be charged through the rewards we get at the end of the season.

The rumors about EG moving away from the competitive scene are now official lol I didn't expect them to drop all their teams this year.

A few hours ago, Shopify Rebellion revealed their new Dota roster. The players they picked felt like a downgrade but still promising enough to make it work.

828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would You Crowdfund for a Gambler Who Has Gambled Irresponsibly? on: November 22, 2023, 12:34:27 AM
I also have to say no when it comes to crowdfunding a fellow gambler who made a mistake while gambling and the money he receives through crowdfunding might encourage him to do it again since it's not his hard-earned money. If the money is handled by someone else so he can't gamble it away, then maybe others would also change their mind. Then again, I agree with the other posts above because helping someone financially is only a temporary fix to his problem when the real problem is the person's bad decision-making.
829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 22, 2023, 12:03:40 AM
Pacers +3.5.  I know they are on the road against a tough Atlanta team but think they can pull this one out.
I'm also on the Pacers' spread, as I think the Hawks will likely win and then fail to cover the spread because they're somewhat bad at covering spreads.

One of the few things going against this bet is probably the road disadvantage since we've seen the other good teams yesterday perform on the road and they didn't have the easiest time winning against teams with slightly worse records.

830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You At Any Point In Time Blame Who Taught Or Led You To Gambling? on: November 21, 2023, 04:50:24 PM
I wouldn't go that far and blame them only because they're the ones who helped me start gambling. If I have to blame someone, it's only myself because i'm the one making the decisions, and i'd rather spend this time making solutions for my gambling problem than feel annoyed about someone from the past who introduced gambling, knowing it won't change anything. I remember experiencing this kind of scenario with other topics and it only helped me learn how to move on because it could become a habit if you can't adapt and continue to blame others for what they did.
831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: November 21, 2023, 02:39:48 AM
I wasn't making any bets on NBA normally. However I wanted to have some fun while watching the matches last night because of getting bored very much. I was lucky about especially the Denver match. I thought that my luck ran out after Jokic got out of the game. But there were like 10-15 points made in the last minute of the last quarter which helped my bet win anyway.
The final minute of the match is usually like that in the NBA. It could sometimes end quickly or last more than several minutes due to the consecutive fouls they force in every possession to close in on the lead. And congrats on winning most of your bets.

Meanwhile, my Celtics special didn't make it in the end. The momentum shifted to the side of the Hornets in the second half and they got away with a win in overtime.
832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When does the moment come when the gambler loses control? on: November 21, 2023, 02:12:06 AM
What do you think about it?
I agree with the losing and recouping part because that need for recovery would always put you in the same situation and push you in a greedy way, which is always in favor of the casino. If you can't remove the idea, then it could quickly develop into an addiction and eventually become a problem because most gamblers go through countless losses. The idea of earning endlessly through gambling probably depends because when i'm in that losing situation, I usually expect the worst from my next set of bets.
833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: November 21, 2023, 12:35:49 AM
One game I am looking forward to watching this coming MNF is a rematch of the Superbowl with Eagles vs Chiefs. Now this one should be a definite over right?
The Texans' win this week is expected, and the real test for them starts next week since half of their remaining matches are against teams within their division.

The Lions' comeback was probably one of the best to watch this week because you don't always see teams regularly come back in the last few minutes of the final quarter while being down by double digits.

I don't have a good read on the totals for the Chiefs vs. Eagles match. They're both solid offensively, so they should be able to score, but it could still go under if they waste too much time in each drive. I've already placed my money on the Chiefs because this is one of the few matches where I don't have to take their spread.  Grin

834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 21, 2023, 12:02:06 AM
Looks like there are 3 games today that should result in easy wins and might make a decent parlay. The Boston Celtics over the Charlotte Hornets, the Milwaukee Bucks over the Washington Wizards, and the Denver Nuggets over the Detroit Pistons. I’d bet them all as a parlay as they’re all heavy favorites and won’t pay out much otherwise.
They should win on paper, but one team might easily ruin the parlay because i've checked some of their road results, and they seem to be barely winning against teams that have no business keeping it this close.

I also have the Timberwolves spread, and hopefully, we picked the right side because the spread is slowly shifting on the side of the Knicks. They let me down before, but a home match should be different since they always win by a few possessions or more.

I'm glad that the MOTD this week focused on the NBA and NFL matches for the next few days since i'm not having a good time betting on the qualification matches.  Cheesy

Today, we got the MOTD between the Celtics and Hornets with the usual HT/FT multi. If only the Celtics had enough rest, I would've slammed this MOTD, but i'm only rolling small here because they're on a b2b, and teams usually struggle when they barely have any resting time from one game to another. Also, the last Celtics MOTD they offered didn't hit, and I wouldn't be surprised if this one failed when it's leaning closer to a toss-up than a one-sided win for the Celtics.

In my case, it's the minimum limits that casinos set on their deposits and withdrawals because i'm mostly playing with smaller amounts. Checking the minimum withdrawal thread helped me several times in looking for a casino since it's a hassle to check every crypto casino and in other casinos, you can't find their limit unless you have an account to check their cashier page. Back then, I would've also mentioned reputation as the factor I prioritize the most, but now it's only helpful at a certain level because it matters less for me when their minimum is too high for my budget.
837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Are you in profit? on: November 20, 2023, 01:21:07 AM
Instant no for me, and my record will always stay on the losing side because i've lost most of my deposits. I remember being up one point with the help of some casino promotions, and then it only went downhill because I continued playing and gave back all the winnings that I won. After looking at the poll results, i'm surprised that it's not as one-sided as I thought it would be since I always see a lot of gamblers complaining or ranting about their losses on other threads.

Congrats on the comeback Strongkored. You made a solid recovery on the final day to win and hand over my second loss. I threw my chances on the last few questions by relying on the underdogs again, and it didn't work.  Tongue

Hopefully, Trofo goes easy on me, so I could snag a point or more this week and go back in the middle of the pack.  Wink
839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: November 20, 2023, 12:03:55 AM
under
The live totals shifted constantly throughout the match, but unfortunately, the gap was big enough between the teams, so there wasn't much urgency to stop the Bengals from scoring in the fourth quarter to reach the over.

I'm going for the same play for the SNF match between the Broncos and Vikings. I expect the Broncos to keep on rolling with their streak and stop the Vikings since they've been mostly facing weaker teams on the road so far.

Edit: What a finish, the under nearly lost in the fourth but the Broncos defense held on.
