i/o digital is currently 1st in blockchain category so i/o will not only receive an award but will be  presenting

Maybe at the Benzingas mate, but just in appearance at the European Fintech Awards. I/ODigital would have made it to the short list if they had DioNS working and being used in "the wild", but since things are still in developments, I/ODigital was very unlucky not to get to the final "table".

One thing is for sure, Benzinga awards should be great in the Big Apple! NYC.

Question, does I/O coin need re-branding and then a media relaunch ?

advantages, attract new investors with re-brand label on bitcointalk and poloniex free announcement on there news.

could create an ICO  for the Decentralized exchange and create crypto alt coin-bank  reserve where the investor can invest in the ICO with any coin.

I am just throwing around idea's in my little bubble...

Not bad ideas, i dont think IOC will rebrand for a long time, too much stuff/text/document would need changing and in my personal view, only scammy coins "are now known as...."

But i like the idea of a ICO for the decentralized exchange.  People ar e throwing bitcoins at ICO's like it was giving them eternal life right now.... so...

Keep throwing the idea around :O) good to read.

intersting what will be the price and the volume on 14th..

The Question is: What will happen in the coming weeks after the European Fintech Awards.  Wink

REMEMBER TO VALIDATE YOUR KEYS!

You do this by entering your passphrase(s)  when you log into lisk and click "my lisk keys",
if they have not been validated you will see red boxes asking you to do so!

ANYONE ELSE DOUBLE CHECK THEY ARE VALIDATED! You will have Green Boxes saying they are

Lets not hold up the Dev team because people were too lazy to spend 2mins checking key validation Smiley

I think investors seeing some growth on the chart at the fintech awards will be a good positive statement to make, slow steady growth of 5% monthly rises that what we need. It is good to see a community strong coin.

Fully Agreed and for us the community to keep spreading the word of IOC everywhere we can.

one idea is for a member here to open an i/ocoin store on OPEN BAZAAR
you can sell i/ocoin
you can sell stickers, badges, physical coins.
ANYTHING IOC related.

it is a great way to introduce people to ioc and all the shoppers on OB already have BITCOIN.

i'd set one up, but i already have 1 store and for the moment, no easy way to make (host) more than one per computer.

I also think that the launch should be as it was planned on 11th April. There should be no more waiting for hose who didn't activate yet their privkaeys. There was enough time and reminders for them to take action. There should not be any delay because of some lazy persons. No more excuses ,no more wait things should be on track as planned.

You are right Sir!

Fully Agree, those who can transfer bitcoin to the lisk pre mine, pre sale, should be smart enough to generate keys.  If not, then tough tits!

When is DIONs release date? be nice for people to have some timeline..

Anyone in crypto knows, there can be no timelines.  Especially when coding something from scratch.  Its not copied code with some edits like most coins in crypto.

But from what i can see/read its not far away. Thats the simple answers, some time in the next few months. Should be before June. No later than August. Then hopefully Chameleon  by Christams.

Tried regestering ions user name. Was told 200 fee , when did this change ? and how long is this for. If coin price goes up then no one will use names at that price

IONS was and is 200 IOC, ions requires a server, we told community to wait for DIONS. DIONS will be fully decentralized and will be 10 IOC to register alias. It will be relative to price so we will try to keep it under .99 cents per registration alias

Dev Team, please make an annoucement so people know not to buy IONS names and wait a little while for DioNS.

You mayyyy want to update your website  Wink

Thanks Mr Giggling.

I found it here > http://www.iodigital.io/investing-or-connecting-blockchain/

Richard please edit this section "Invest in I/ODigital"

Like this good man has pointed out, its wayyyy out dated now and needs upgraded.

Thank you.

The secret of big investors to have a mini pump and to push the price down without selling many coin's letting the day trader panic whom where too slow to sell, when the develop[er releases news they will pump the coin to it correct value. So it is the time to buy small amounts. I have seen this with Athereum, SafeMaid and even RADS lately. I find with investing is to do the opposite of your emotions and think long term.
Today trading will be forgotten in 6 months time.
For myself I/O coin I am hoping too buy more before the price rises because I expect DION will be released any day now soon and be regretting I did not buy more.
As investor I would like to see a demo video of all the planned development just as a sneaky teaser.

Very Well said!

Joel and Richard do have plans to make a video going over developments that will likely be out this month.

DioNS is a beast of a development and only a world class, professional developer, could handle such a task, so a HUGE THANK YOU has to go to Derek for being able to work coding magic on this one of a kind, ground breaking developments that DioNS is and i can not stress that enough.

DioNS will only be released also when its perfect, just like all other previous IOC developments, unlike any other coins who do "that will do" jobs and end up having problems all over the place.

Then we have Chameleon to look forward to, which will take much less time and is over 85% complete.

So looking at charts, now is a really good time to buy once DioNS is ready and business people use the IOC blockchain, then 15k sats is going to look like the bargain of the decade!

So PLEASE KEEP STAKING.  Keep Coins off Exchanges for safety also.

hey,

We have done a lot of work to provide you with the best and up to date info on our corporate website.
www.iodigital.io is now available in English, Dutch, French, German and Chinese. A big thank you for the community.

After DIONS is done, the next big thing is Chameleon. Chameleon will be a Blockchain ecosystem.
Not just one Blockchain, but Blockchains working together as a whole. We like to see stuff on a bigger scale. This ecosystem will ensure and facilitate world wide growth, Blockchain adoption (could be a private chain), security and interoperable Blockchains. We changed the homepage of iodigital.io for that purpose as well. To promote Chameleon.

We will release a full white paper explaining Chameleon and for now we have a brief description below.
Remember Chameleon is 80% done.

===
With a limitless range of potential applications, storing all of data in a single Blockchain – even one optimized for data storage such as I/O’s – wouldn’t be practical. So to make sure we have an infrastructure that can adapt and scale to accommodate all of the services it will come to support we’ve created project “Chameleon I/O”.

Developed over a twelve-month period, Chameleon I/O is a framework which will allow for the creation of any number of unique and interoperable I/O Digital sidechains. These auxiliary Blockchains will each have unique properties suited to the particular set of services and applications that they will support. This network of Blockchains, or “superchain”, will afford unparalleled flexibility to I/O users, allowing any number of configurations to be seamlessly adopted depending on the use case.

The framework itself will collate data from the various chains and allow the creation of generic control policies via an extensive high level API. For end users this means access to the full range of I/O Digital functions, applications and services from a single interface. The team will deploy a secure web front end from which to easily manage an array of advanced decentralized applications.
===

Thanks
Richard

Amazing!

This is a really great simplistic explanation of the whole Blockchain operation! I came to I/O coin only few weeks ago but I believe in your progress and ideas. Already stacking the coins and looking forward for all upcoming developments. Just one question: It is said that for creation of your personal wallet name (DIONS in the future) we should spend 10 I/O coins but the wallet asks 200 of them from me. Is it right? Or I did not understand it correctly?

Let Chameleon rule the world of Crypto!

P.S. Are you thinking about categorization of Blockchains in Chameleon? F.e. that DGB CC is strictly narrowed to Gaming Industry and therefore should have own category; Dash is for example mainly used for Tor based operations and I cannot imagine seeing these within the same interests.

You are trying to use IONS.

Do not create a name until DioNS is out ok.
834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [IOC][ I/O Digital ] I/O Coin - Identity SideChain - Private Messaging - POS I/O on: March 28, 2016, 08:48:16 PM
Could any of the devs elaborate on a more precise explication of how having sidechains is in any way relevant compared to ethereum? I am trying to get a vague idea here, it almost seems as though sidechains would be redundant? Why are they so special? What can they do that you can't do on Ethereum? I think it could benefit the audience to know this.

And a sad mention is today I see the chart on coinmarket cap, and it looks like a hemisphere with some noise added to it, like it is auto-trading and someone with a sense of humour thought it would look natural enough so no one could see the hemispherical arc underlying the supposed natural hux-flux of volatility, almost like a trolling allegory to the incompetence of the audience. Reminds me of DarkCoin's pump and dump in 2014 where they hit over $15 (when I should have sold, after having bought in at over just $1), and then slipping way down to $2-3 rapidly thereafter. suspiciously synthetic looking chart. Perhaps a false or ignorant, paranoiac allegation, but what can I say...

Hi Willow, thanks for being a IOC supporter, do not worry about some of the folk here, they often attack before they think, i know, i am often the one receiving their wrath, not sure why they keep doing it, i guess, IOC has had a lot of trolls in the past and its like a auto response mode.

I see sidechains like having a swiss army knife vs a standard one blade knife. Its better to have the ability to be flexible for many situations (companies) than just have the one blade for limited uses.

So sidechains will never be redundant, just like a swiss army knife will never be redundant. So this is why having sdiechain is special, because it allows IOC to adapt and be of use to many different companies.

Regarding Eth, i have no idea what the situation is there with sidechains, sorry.

The chart, is what it is, its just coincidence that it appears to form patterns, but with charts, theres always patterns to be made, even when none were made in the first place.

Feel free to post more thoughts, ideas.

Age old discussion had on many forums about many projects......

It is all good, but the money runs the show.  Even a successful project must produce it somewhere and somehow to remain relevant.

Keep building this great idea, lots of work and a little luck, it will go somewhere!  Don't hate the money, it moves the world.

Very True, Cash Rules, Theres  the Rich who get Richer and the Poor who get More Poor, that is the world we live in. Thinking about it, the staking rewards, i guess those who "risk" more money when investing should get more rewards, like any investment.  Banks are a classic example there more you keep in there the more interest you will earn.

So, to keep it simple....

If you want more staking rewards, then you need to have more coin in your wallet.  With all the wonderful developments IOC is "cooking up" it will certainly e a good idea to stock up on IOC before the price rockets when businesses are using the Unique Blockchain.

Thanks for the input everyone, always good to have a civil debate here.

PS: Regarding Developments, I/OCoin always makes sure things work 100% before releasing, take a look at other coins threads (like i like to do) you will often find many coins, with a year+ behind them, still cant even get wallets to work properly and thats just the basic QT.  IOC is pushing the boundaries and once the new HTML wallet is released i am sure it will work great.  The main reason for this, is dedication, pride in their work and also, more importantly, they really care and think about the community and always want to give the loyal followers and supporters, the best product, this is a true testament to IOC' strengths. IF i was a VC looknig at IOC, i would be very impressed by this work ethic.

Is there a way to know if anyone has bought into the ico and not generated keys?

I hope there will not be a delay with launch due to forgetful people.

Nice Chart.  I think most of the profit takers have taken profits, now the balance probably has swung in the favour of the new buyers over 120sats. Expertly shaken out by the whales who are painting these nice charts.  I'll put my reputation on the line and say DGB will cross over 200 sats within 48hrs from now.  Then the people who sold will Fomo buy again. 200 is a big target and very crucial for growth
838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [IOC][ I/O Digital ] I/O Coin - Identity SideChain - Private Messaging - POS I/O on: March 27, 2016, 08:35:48 PM
the more coins u stake the more weight u hold should be the single factor of mining staki g rewards. not even sure y this would be up for discussion

Consider this, most (i'd say 70%) people in crypto have less than 5btc.  less than this is not going to give you much in a way of staking rewards, so no incentive to stake, so IOC could be missing out on 70% new people wanting to buy and stake the coin.

And the "rich" people, could care less about taking rewards because its total peanuts to them.

See the point i am making?

I think it is a very valid one. Very few people will stake because they are loyal to the coin and stake to support network only.
(Like i do, i stake to support, rewards to me are meaningless)
839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [IOC][ I/O Digital ] I/O Coin - Identity SideChain - Private Messaging - POS I/O on: March 27, 2016, 03:28:55 PM
"It is based on stake size, large stakers have more chances of mining the winning tx."

couple of questions .....
under current pos....aren't rewards based on a constant interest rate of 2%..... so a staker with 100 ioc would earn 2 ioc per year in interest and a staker with 1,000 ioc would get 20 ioc per year ?

under the pos as you explain it larger holders will have an advantage and get larger overtime.....doesn't seem fair...or am I misunderstanding?

also

if I have a wallet with one address that holds 1,000 ioc....does that earn more than a wallet with 10 addresses each holding 100 ioc or do they earn they the same?
corollary - will two wallets,  each with one address holding 500 ioc (i suspect many holders like would like to have multiple wallets for safety and security)....also earn the same in total?

Very good questions!

I thnk coin rewards so be given to people who have the oldest coins.  Not the biggest wallet.

This way you have loyals supporters who have bene here since day 1, getting rewards.

Rather than.

Some rich dude coming along, buying a ton of coins and getting more rewards than the loyal IOC supporter.

I know its  a fine balance, but i am really against, rewards going to the biggest wallets.  If you have big wallets in the first place, then a few extra coins a day is not going to matter so much.

Much better off giving to people who hold less if you ask me, give to the people less fortunate than others.

right now i craping on myself ............i sent 5 million bdg to the android wallet but didnt show up...what the fuck is going on here...is this legit https://play.google.com/store/people/details?id=111269560865275671873

i m gonna kill somebody today.....

A better world starts with you... Wink

Seriously why the caps? Give us the transaction id and speak in a normal way and we'll see if we can help you out

First mistake, sending 5m coins to an android wallet!   You know how safe android phones are? Do you even have internet security on your android?
Anyhow. 99% sure the problem will be the blockchain on the app, has not caught up, so your coins will arrive when the blockchain is fully in synch.

Now Relax!  And say Thank You Mr White Bites.
