821  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice fucked me over :-/ on: November 16, 2015, 03:54:03 AM
Stunna (nor prime dice) has your money. The fact that you sent BTC to a PD address does not matter. You sent BTC to azaan. The fact that he gambled (and presumably lost) with your money on PD does not mean anything.

The same is true with Candy. I am not sure why he would attempt to gamble with your money on his computer (nor how he even gained access to your account on his computer), however by providing him access to your account, any bet he made would count as if you personally made the bet.

I am assuming that both ultimately busted and I don't think you would be complaining if they had won and simply not repaid you. When the bets were made, stunna/PD took the risk that they might have had to payout on the bets if they were winning bets.

looks to me that he talked with a stranger for a solid 20 minutes on a magic internet money gambling site and then decided it was alright to let them have access to their pc through teamviewer, with a good 3k+ usd worth in bitcoin just sitting in their PD account.
He somehow used his persuasion skills to lure me into his plan. He told me he can easily gamble up 10 BTC to 11.5, without a doubt. I am not that dumb, I said no. Then he said this: "I can gamble on your PC, on Teamviewer, and you can stop me anytime."
822  Economy / Services / Re: ❃❃ ▶▷ BETCOIN.ag ◁◀ ❃❃ #1 BTC Casino, Sportsbook, Poker - SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN on: November 16, 2015, 03:20:41 AM
To the comment below, in the real world when business is going well (which is what growth in BTC's value to fiat represents), companies do not institute a pay cut for their best employees!
i dont think you understand. in the real world, unexpected things happen. if a company suffers from a recession, people get fired. that's reality. things happen. second off, this isnt a valid comparison, posting on a forum is just something extra to get for posting youd do already, its not a job, and sig campaign enrollees are not employees.

Some campaign managers lowered rates and none of them offered a fair explanation. Remember that the fees these companies charge for the services we advertise also went up in fiat terms - so all campaigns are earning more revenue (in fiat conversion) and found a convenient way to lower their costs.
no, they offered a perfectly rational explanation, and that explanation doesnt have to be fair to every coddled child in every single campaign.

I'm grateful this campaign pays a fair wage for quality posts, thank you!
wage? again, this isnt a fucking job.
823  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammers in the Loan Section (litmore & magic max) on: November 16, 2015, 01:53:32 AM
are you new here or something? this kind of stuff happens in the lending and currency exchange sections multiple times a day. no need to have a scam thread for every newbie account asking for a 4 btc no collateral loan or 40 thousand in paypal looking to buy bitcoin.
824  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NUCLEAR IS GREENEST TECHNOLOGY CLAIM 65 TOP BIOLOGISTS on: November 16, 2015, 12:44:12 AM
people in general fail to look at the bigger picture, and are instead only look at the big events related to an idea that is the determining factor for their opinion on their matter. a nice comparison: how many people doe from smoking every year? a quick google search shows its in the millions, annually. so why arent we paying more attention to that? because nothing "big" happens from smoking. theres no explosions, gunshots, whatever. just cancer. compare that to a hypothetical airplane that had an engine malfunction and crashed, resulting in the flashy death of maybe 100 people. suddenly, x manufacturer of those engines are literally the harbinger of death on earth.

Not only that. There is a lot of propaganda going on in the mainstream media, against the nuclear energy. If we thoroughly investigate about the groups which are indulging in these propaganda campaigns, then it will become clear that many of them are funded by Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and other nations which are opposed to green energy.
oil and all that, makes sense.

that aside, this is happening: http://inhabitat.com/worlds-largest-nuclear-fusion-reactor-set-to-go-online-later-this-month/
after 19 years of construction, the W7-X fusion reactor is set to be powered on later this month.
although this reactor wont be meant to be a reliable and sustainable source of energy, it will be testing a new design that will surpass the current limitations of nuclear fusion reactors. if this test proves successful in proving the theories behind the device, we should be looking at drastic changes in nuclear reactor design over the next 3 - 4 decades to make a model that will provide clean, consistent energy.
825  Other / Meta / Re: Wow, you can buy positive trust for 0.0301btc on: November 15, 2015, 08:38:45 PM
Just set a limit on the amount that can be given for dispensing trust. Say a trade for 1+ btc just to round it off.
having a minimum trade requirement to leave trust feedback would limit the usage of the feedback system for sales / trades only, which would exclude the other uses such as scam busting, general overall honestly etc.

I bought his eBook, and I am more than happy with what I got. We all know how the trust system works here... it's the opposite of flawless. I think it's more than fair to leave green trust for a legitimate trade, however big. Setting limits would be ridiculous. I think bigtimespaghetti should be able to do whatever he wants. In my views, those users only got a small +1 on the far right, and that's it.

Who is more likely to scam? The user who has done successful deals in the past, or the user who has done none.
that's not the point of being on DT. being on DT is more or less a responsibility to accurately leave ratings on other members to help the rest of the forum make a rough guesstimation on how honest that particular user is.

those users only got a small +1 on the far right, and that's it.
that +1 is going to become a light green "10: -0 / +1 in a few months time.

I think it's more than fair to leave green trust for a legitimate trade
case: a customer walks into a store and buys an apple, then pays for said apple before leaving. did the person just display an incredible amount of honestly that's worth noting? no. he paid for what he bought like any other normal person would do. now, if he walked out of the store with two apples unknowingly and then returned later to pay for the second apple, that would be a display of honestly. analogies. point being, just purchasing something doesnt mean anything. with how dishonest a lot of people on this forum are, people tend to target people on DT that freely give out trust for riskless trades. "trust farmers" have targeted sebastianju in the past as well, when he left ratings simply for escrowing deals.

I've pm'ed the winner 24 hours ago,
« Sent to: mark coins on: November 14, 2015, 03:36:56 PM »
(s)he hasn't replied yet. (He was online BTW) I'll wait 48 hours more and if I don't get any reply, I'll reauction the account and leave neg trust.
if mark coins is on my ignore list, he / she was most likely spamming for their sig campaign either currently or in the past. it wouldnt surprise me if mark coins didnt have the funds to back up that bid and was simply posting the get a post in. go ahead and leave negative feedback, and see if a default will tag him too, for failing to uphold their agreement to purchase the item after bidding on it. 24 hours is more than enough time to fulfill that agreement, not to mention he was posting earlier.

830  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature camping and quality of post on: November 15, 2015, 07:47:56 AM
the point of discussing topics in a forum is not to engineer constructive posts to be just 'constructive' enough to receive pay for them from a signature ad campaign. if you choose to have actual, productive, discussions / conversations / debates with other people on the forum, posts that are considered 'constructive' should come naturally. being enrolled in a sig campaign should be seen as receiving a little extra for browsing and discussing whatever on the forum.
this is a forum, meant to discuss things, not a fucking workplace where you get paid to brainlessly churn out posts of 75 characters in length or greater. ffs.
831  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] COINUT.COM ★ Signature Campaign ★ Pay per post ★ Weekly ★ on: November 15, 2015, 05:57:22 AM
Enough time has gone by - if you haven't gotten paid you need to leave negative trust equal to the amount owed for Izanagi and Wangxinxi
you shouldnt tag izanagi, all he does is count / screen the posts and send the payment information over to wangxinxi. he has no role in actually getting the payments themselves sent out, and has no control over the payments not getting sent out in this incident. granted, if you havent gotten your payments in over a week, -ve trust is warranted for not upholding the agreement to pay for advertising, but you dont need to point fingers at someone who isnt at fault.

833  Other / Meta / Re: Fundraiser for Countries in Crisis on: November 15, 2015, 02:28:25 AM
Let the charitable institutions do those charity works, if anyone wan't to help, send it to those institutions since they know how it works, who to help and where to send. What forums like us can do is to promote those charitable institutions, it's much safer than creating our own fund raising with our forum name on it.
the 'charitable institutions' you speak of arent always as charitable as you think; there have been multiple instances of fraud with major charity organizations before, including one of the biggest ones, the red cross.
http://www.naturalnews.com/047863_Red_Cross_charities_Superstorm_Sandy.html
http://www.miamiherald.com/news/nation-world/world/americas/haiti/article23061570.html
https://www.rt.com/usa/201011-red-cross-sandy-scam/

but wait, theres more! it doesnt stop at natural disasters, people take advantage of cancer too:
http://www.wsj.com/articles/four-cancer-charities-accused-of-fraud-1432063345
https://philanthropy.com/article/4-Cancer-Charities-Charged-in/230263

id be willing to bet that there will be at least a handful of scam charities popping up around the internet and probably on this forum too; people will take advantage of any tragedy if there's some money involved.
i dont see the harm in creating a small forum-based charity, as long as its backed by a reputable member and we know where the money is going; iirc there was a thread floating around somewhere that accepted donations to send food to less fortunate children or something, cant remember.

as for this incident, if we could find a fairly reputable member of the forum residing in france that had an idea of how and where to spend the donations to aid the victims, we could get something going here.

Payment recieved. Im wearing the signature now but it looks like it isnt showing like what it should be based on the OP. you want might to change some codes for the sr member sig?

Starting post count: 569 (including this)
I dont see a sig on you at all. I'll check the sigs when I get home in the am but if I find they're ok I will be tagging your account
probably because he's a senior member, and sr members are not allowed to have bgcolor on their sigs, which the sr sig code has.
the bbcode for bgcolor is
Code:
[glow=<hex color>]<text>[/glow]
he has the sig on, i can see it; its just that the text on the sig is white.
835  Economy / Services / Re: XPayBot (Wallet for Telegram) ★ Signature Campaign ★ Weekly ★ on: November 14, 2015, 11:16:15 PM
fair warning to those that might be thinking of participating in this campaign:

1% daily payout --> smells like a ponzi. you may or may not be tagged with negative trust ratings from default members if you knowingly advertise a ponzi in your signature, depends on how they (DT members) see it.

I got it quite close to the minimum, around 800 or so. Smiley All of you Hero Member peasants are simply inferior to my superior RNGenes, you see - we will create a New World Order composed only of Legendary members...

Sounding suspiciously like Hitler, now.

Should have gambled with that luck, below 800 is ~ a 1 in 10 chance.
tell that to marco, rng master Grin

838  Other / Meta / Re: background colour in signature/post on: November 13, 2015, 04:43:33 PM
you must be at least a "hero member" in forum rank before you are allowed to add bg color to your signature. for details, see this post:
Perhaps the allowed signature styling should change with activity score / membergroup. Like:
- Newbie: No styling (including links) allowed. Max 40 characters.
- Jr. Member: Links allowed. Max 100 characters.
- Member: Unlimited length.
- Full: Color allowed.
- Sr. Member: Size allowed
- Hero: Background color allowed

Then newbies will be less effective advertisers, which would hopefully significantly reduce the incentive for low-content posts. And when people become capable of effectively advertising through their signatures, they'll have invested a lot of time into their accounts, and they won't risk being banned by spamming.
