821  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I can't wait until I can pay using bitcoin at the supermarket on: August 28, 2020, 03:51:38 AM
I am also waiting for this.

We all are, I know that. Despite the profits we are looking forward in the future, I know that we are also looking forward to us using Bitcoin and not just in the supermarkets. I am just saving most of my Bitcoins right now not just to be able to get the maximum profit from it, I also wanted to use all of them to transactions where I pay Bitcoin directly.
822  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Philippines SEC warns against crypto investment. on: August 28, 2020, 03:34:10 AM
Not actually banning but warning those people.

There are a lot of investing scams happening in our country and people are believing in such too good to be true schemes by the scammers. One of which is this Bitcoin Revolution that became popular for a while. In their endorsements, they are using popular artists of the country including Manny Pacquiao which is not true.

https://pia.gov.ph/press-releases/releases/1045466

People who fall for bitcoin revolution deserve it. You can't feel sorry for these people. If you burn yourself on a hot pot and then touch it again right away who is at fault?

I don't think they deserve it.

It is true that they fall to their schemes, it is true that they are lacking that "common sense" since they are not aware what that project is but they don't deserve to be scammed that is why we should help these people, in a way to inform them about these scams happening right now especially related to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. I prevented my family from three scams, one of them is this Bitcoin Revolution.
I hate to say this but in order for these investors to be helped, they must experience getting scammed.
And I agree to that.

I know I am being confusing but hear me out. These people don't deserve to be scammed but they needed it to learn. I know that these people really needed the money that is why I am saying they don't deserve it but they needed it in order to learn, to wake them in this world that it is not easy. I get that.
823  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is it when the year will be over there are always talk about the price on: August 27, 2020, 10:40:00 AM
I think we are all excited about Bitcoin's future.

It is always the same with other things too, people predict what will happen this year, what might happen and what should happen. The year is not even ending and there are a lot of predictions and speculations being thrown. Price, adoption, and even technologies that might be used, I think we all are wanting to peak what the future of Bitcoin holds, I think we just wanted it to have a better future.
824  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin reach to $100K ? on: August 27, 2020, 09:36:48 AM
100k might be reached someday, but not this fast, although no one knows the exact time, people also did not think at first when bitcoin ballooned in 2017, that's where other speculation arises about the next price hike, take it easy we will see it in The last 10 years maybe.

If we will be basing it on the price changes in the past years, it could be reached in a few years.

I know that we will not just reach that kind of price so quickly but I think if the adoption of Bitcoin explodes, it could be achieved in just a few years. Still, I am speculating. What I am trying to say is that with the volatility of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency as a whole, 10 years is too long.
825  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy over health on: August 26, 2020, 01:21:44 PM
.
i dont also believed that governments are gonna get poor if they continue lockdowns but i think they have a good wealth reserve for this kind of situation  . this is better than they spend money on others

I think that is obvious that they will be having a hard time supporting the country with long lockdowns.

As people are restricted to go to their jobs, just imagine lower taxes going in the government, that means they will be having a limited money to use. They will be having a hard time making projects because they will be focussed on supporting these people that are stucked in their houses. That would really empty the taxes bag..
826  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy over health on: August 26, 2020, 09:34:22 AM
Health should comes first before anything else hence it's the best way to stop and deal with pandemic so that the spread will be minimized, implementing safety protocols to all citizens would be a wise decisions. The economy can recover no matter what happens and the solutions of this is to wait for the vaccine to come out and should be available later this year and then economy can rise back again without endangering the health of the citizens.

Health should really come first, but that also leads to a problem.

If they will be making the lockdowns longer, that means they should be able to take care of the people that can't go to their jobs. They would focus their finance in health and without money coming in, that would be bad. I am not against this decision as long as they are strictly implementing the protocols to be followed.
827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting: how much knowledge is too much on: August 26, 2020, 08:55:20 AM
I think you're just overthinking here.

Sportsbetting might be that something where analysis really comes handy, obviously knowledge too but when that happens, I guess you better stick to what you wanted. You can't ensure a win since, at the end of the day, we are still gambling. I think you should not be asking about that, I think you should ask yourself whether you need yourself to rest on betting for a while or not.
828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greatest Gambling Losers on: August 26, 2020, 08:20:30 AM
That number one really is surprising.

Never thought that people would actually waste their money in gambling instead of thinking how they could earn more with that huge amount. I would understand Michael Jordan's addiction to betting since he has a lot of money to support him and I know there are a lot of people that would be advise him to stop but with that guy, saying that he is burried to debt means no one actually care how much he spends on gambling.
829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VR online casino games take gambling to the new level 🚀 on: August 26, 2020, 07:06:17 AM
VR's might be only popular or commonly heard on gaming industry but it is actually possible to be applied in gambling but wondering on how long it would really be developed
and if there would be companies or business owners would consider such innovation or changes.

I didn't say that they won't be interested in this but I don't think it would add more addicts.

Despite the technology that they are using, at the end of the day they are still gambling. It would really heightened the experience of a gambler since it is a new platform but since we are talking about gambling, gamblers will be the ones using it, others might try it but I don't think it would be at that point where they will be addicted. Another thing is that they might suspect those games in VR to be not fair or tampered by the casino, that is the anwer of my friend when I ask him about this matter.

831  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: which is a good option?? Trade or Hodl on: August 25, 2020, 12:13:44 PM
As a newbie, mostly people prefer holding.

You don't need to be so knowledgeable to be able to hold, still you need it to identify which cryptocurrency you will be holding. It takes time and though as I said it don't require as much as knowledge, it requires a lot of patience. Maybe take those time to learn the price movements, learn some indicators that might help you trade in the future.
832  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Small assets, trade or invest? Good decision? on: August 25, 2020, 11:06:32 AM
It would be better to invest than to trade with small assets. If you have no idea how to trade, you are more likely to lose in that case you will be able to lose all your money. The crypto market is improving a lot and the prices of currencies are rising. In that case if we invest and hold on, then if the price goes up it is possible to achieve double profit. before investing the market should be well checked and the currency should be selected.

That is why it is better to do both.

I know that trading is not that easy but it will give more profit if you can utilize these two correctly. Holding is great but you won't be able to take advantage of the price movements happening since you will be stuck holding unto one. I know it is hard but there are ways for us to minimize risks like for example diversifying our portfolio.
833  Economy / Economics / Re: Our country was called Province of China. on: August 25, 2020, 09:50:43 AM
So you can't pay your debt let us handle some part of your country.

As a country that cannot pay a large amount all the things they need are to allow them.

As far as I know, we have a comment about this on the government.

It goes like our country will never fall to this trick by China. As far as I know, that is a financial officer and that means they knew about it and they have a way to go against it. I don't think that our government is that stupid to make a loan without thinking about the consequences of it, they even made a statement about it means they are ready for it.

834  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID19 VACCINE AND ECONOMIC GROWTH? on: August 25, 2020, 08:29:40 AM
During this pandemic I took care of myself as best I could by keeping my immune system good. If I am offered the vaccine for free in the near future, I will refuse it. something rushed will present problems that will arise in the future. It would be better if you wait for the right time at least 5 years.

That would be unbearable.

To people, to the country and to the economy. 5 years is so long that nobody knows what will happen at that time, the virus could evolve, economies could crumble and the country's debt might also blow up. That is the reason they are doing what they cand to finish the testing of the vaccine. Right now we are Phase 3 on the Chinese vaccine, as far as I know, it is the same with the Russian vaccine.
835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For the kind attention of the Gambling sites , a small suggestion on: August 25, 2020, 04:37:44 AM
I think this will be the easiest and best way for the parents.

While surfing the internet at the office, I am seeing these videos about bypassing administrators and I had an idea of searching if children can bypass parental restrictions in some applications and there are a lot of videos on it on the internet, mostly on YouTube which can be easily accessed by the children. I guess parents really need to talk to their children about this. Communicating is one of the best ways to keep a relationship healthy, as they says it.

No matter what are kids our doing, as long as they are open in media and on the internet, they can still learn how to gamble. Mobile Legends game for example, they might ask for us to buy them diamond (game credits) for them to have their favorite skins or whatever it is that could make the game even better. But the fact that game creators are doing the best way they can to increase the game's profitability, they are implicitly adding gambling in mystery boxes and skins. This has the element of gambling which consists of multipliers and chances to win something. In the end, if we didn't supervised our children, they might be used to it, and the real gambling soon.

Just an advise to always learn what our kids our doing so we know if they are being exposed early to gambling.

Since we are talking about Mobile Legends.

I don't know if a lot of people know about this but while browsing their menus and some of their promotions, I found this page where they give some points to players and they can use it to bet on a team whenever there is a tournament. It is sports betting and that in-game currencies might be a way for them to buy a skin in the game.
836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VR online casino games take gambling to the new level 🚀 on: August 25, 2020, 02:54:10 AM
People will be more addictive in gambling if this becomes very popular, because it's a virtual reality you are not aware of your surroundings you tend to forget the times you are gambling with it, so I will not even try it the cost is also one of the reason why I should pass using this.

The development of the gambling industry implies expanded opportunities for gambling, but this does not mean that the number of addicts will greatly increase.
Those people who are prone to some kind of addiction will be addicted no matter how widespread or popular gambling is.

Totally agree here.

Addiction will not be increased by VR. Let's be real, it will be cool and all but I don't think it will define new and heightened cases of addiction in every country. I think in online games it will be really great, some people might use this in other thing but I guess in gambling it will just be a liability so instead of buying this techs, they will just use it to gamble.

I think it's all about how the parents can discuss with their kids, so the kids will not abuse the mobile phones for anything bad that can make them lose control.

I think this will be the easiest and best way for the parents.

I am sure the kids can do that easily because they know how to get that. Suppose an adult person leaves his computer open with the last activity that person did, and then the kids who sit at the front of the computer will continue to use that computer, and they can mess it because I got that with some of my nephews. Imagine if we leave the computer with the gambling site is the last thing that we did, the kids will know, and they will find how to play the games. When it comes to the internet, they can get anything they want by browse many websites.

At his point all the parents can do is restrict their internet usage.

There are a lot of softwares they can get for them to restrict sites that can influence them into gambling or maybe the adult industry. Each ISPs, as far as I know have these Parental Controls or Parental Locks they can take advantage of so they could monitor or block these sites.
839  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin might never reach it's ATH anymore on: August 23, 2020, 08:33:15 AM
We already know this.

Despite people actually looking forward to the good price changes in the future, the main one is that people could actually use it in the world, without having to rely on the USD price of it, so we don't need to convert our Bitcoin into fiat instead directly use it to buy or pay something.
840  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Philippines SEC warns against crypto investment. on: August 23, 2020, 07:39:23 AM
I assume they only ban acts of promoting PONZI crypto projects. Currently, the Philippines as well as other developing countries do not have a legal corridor for crypto. It may take some time for these countries to start crypto education and incorporate crypto into their legislation.

Not actually banning but warning those people.
