Here are the Raspberry Pi wallets (headless and Qt) for Loco on Raspbian Jessie (v8) as well as a bootstrap.dat file. The wallet has been tested on both a Pi2 and Pi3.

Important:
1) Always backup your wallet.dat first before you do anything
2) The wallets were built on Raspberry Pi2/3 (ARM) running Raspbian Jessie (v8) and the instructions and scripts assume you are running as user "pi". It is a pre-requisite to have Jessie installed on your Pi micro-SD card. You can find instructions of how to do this on https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/ by either installing n00bs and selecting your OS or by downloading the image of the OS. NB! It is important that if you do a fresh install from a Jessie image, that you first expand your file system with raspi-config. It is the first option in the menu. The default image they provide installs a partition of about 3.5GB and it needs to be expanded to 8GB or you will not have enough space for the installation. It is furthermore always a good idea to select the boot options in raspi-config to boot to a command prompt with authentication. You can then start the graphical desktop with "startx" manually. This helps with issues during upgrades.
3) The installation script installs the required dependencies automatically.
4) Installation directory where the binaries are installed is ~/opt/loco or /home/pi/opt/loco
5) To run the wallets after installation go to the directory with the wallets and run the wallet file - ./locod for the headless wallet at the command line or click on the loco icon on the desktop or run the loco-qt wallet file.
6) An Internet connection is required for the installation
7) You need at least an 8GB memory card for the wallet.
8.) The installation itself takes about 30-45min on an out-of-the-box Pi.
9) You cannot just download the dynamic wallets, you have to run the script to get the dependencies as well else it will not run.
10) The installation script enables the ufw firewall by default, but does not force any special rules. The wallet still works this way with the port blocked. If however you want to enable it to become a fully functional node, uncomment the ufw lines in the script and add the ports you want open (default 34575 for Loco) and run it again or enable it manually by running the ufw commands as in the script with the correct port numbers from the command line.
11) Always verify the checksums when you download files to make sure it was downloaded ok. To verify the checksums on your Pi, go to the ~/opt/loco folder and execute sha256sum <filename> and md5sum <filename> and compare the values with the values in the checksums.txt file.
12) The installation script also installs a bootstrap.dat file up to block 1197.

Instructions to use the headless command line daemon wallet:

1) The installation script creates an loco.conf file with the startup settings in it. Go to the folder with the binaries ~/opt/loco and enter ./locod in a terminal window or at the command line to start the server
2) After the blockchain has been downloaded you can enter the normal wallet commands that you would as in a Windows debug console preceded with ./locod eg. ./locod getinfo.
3) Remember to always make a backup of your wallet.dat file before you do anything like encrypting it
4) To encrypt your wallet run the command ./locod encryptwallet <yourpassword>
5) Once you have the wallet running, blockchain downloaded and your wallet with coins on the Pi, then you can kickstart staking by executing ./locod walletpassphrase <yourwalletpassword> 99999999 true

Instructions to use the Qt wallet:

1) The wallet works exactly the same as the one in Windows.

To kickstart the installation execute the following commands at the command prompt or in a terminal window on your Pi.

Code:
wget https://bitbucket.org/jc12345/loco/downloads/loco_installation_pi.sh && chmod +x loco_installation_pi.sh && ./loco_installation_pi.sh && rm -f loco_installation_pi*

Let me know if there are any issues.

How long do you think it'll take to get to Block 5000 when POS begins? Just a rough guess.

What do you mean by thefarm is not up? Sorry I'm not too familiar with some terminologies. Does that mean I won't be able to mine @ say... 500 MH/s after block 1440?

not at all ...

i was referring to thefarm ( MY farm / mining system ) as nightz knows me as chrysophylax ( as do most who have dealt with me ) - but ended up locking myself out of my own profile and then got banned for trying to get back in too many times ... which is why im using a newbie account - while bct mods are not even acknowleging the issue - or any of my messages to get my profile back ...

im a miner first and foremost - and have a sizable gpu farm - which i call 'thefarm' ... amongst working on other projects i have ( including two other coins ) - i have now relocated three times in three months - and this last time meant that thefarm is sitting around collecting dust - until i can find a place for it ... otherwise i would put it all online for this coin - in support of it ...

there should be no issue with anyone mining - there is no issue now ...

the net hashrate currently on suprnova ( tanx again ocminer ) is 136mh - at block 1143 ... so only a few more blocks to 1440 - then 1441 for the coin blocks Smiley ...

happy hashing ...

Nope because unlike MoNet i have already fixed the i2p implementation and I'm sure there is a few out there who can back up the fact "I CAN DO SHIT" I won't release a roadmap or something I Cannot do mate.

Was you aware i Was the Person who also fixed PosEx and got it moving again ?

yup - i can vouch for the ability to develop ...

nice to see you are doing a coin that is in the algo after my own heart Wink ...

#crysx

Seems I will have some work todo to convince others ay, But that shouldn't be a hard task  Tongue And glad you like the Algo  Grin

P.S Will drop you an inbox soon  Wink

the proof will always be in the pudding - as the old saying goes ...

i am still locked out of my long term chrysophylax - with bct mods not reponding at all - but im still the same stubborn fella in a new profile ...

im looking at changing the algo for not only granite - but also ozziecoin ( just recently adopted into our portfolio ) - and it will be either quark - or a derivation of quark ...

thefarm is not up and running until i find another home for it - so heavy mining will not happen until that happens ...

anyway - ill lookout for the inbox ...

the wallet with these nodes

addnode=52.88.93.148
addnode=92.233.105.50

 is not synchronized Sad

take them out and let the wallet sync all on its own ...

so far the node that is hardcoded in the wallet seems to work - so no additional nodes need be placed inthe conf ...

it only takes a minute or so for it to start - depending on your internet connection of course - and whether you have firewall and / or router blocking active ...

if you have issues syncing - just post here ... ive set my personal wallet up as a node for the time being - so i can give you that ip if you desparately need it ...

#crysx

Thanks for the help. The problem remained. Open ports, conf file is empty, the wallet is not synchronized

ok ...

anyone can use this node ( though will only function when open of course ) - so try and add this ...

Code:
addnode=203.91.244.188

ill keep it running for the next couple of days ...

let me know if it helps ...

#crysx

Sorry about that guy's will get ore nodes up Wink And hey Crysx  Smiley

hey nightz ...

nothing to be sorry about ...

i have the infrastructure - and if you would like - i can setup the first three seeds and keep them going if you plan on sticking with the coin mate - and if you want hardcoded seednodes of course...

staking will keep the network moving well ( as with PoW ) - but staking will mean i will need some nice sum of loco to put in - but i can mine quite a few myself in any case ... as you know - what i put in the nodes - dont come out and i dont dump coins ...

let me know if you would like that - and i can setup the nodes and the dns - then pull request the seednode changes ( and the 'fix' for the exec attribute in leveldb ) ...

remember that with pascal or new amd, all those miner software will be useless

I'm hoping we'll reach an age where miners will collectively gather funds to pay for miners and developers to create miners and not the other way around...

Oh well, at least one can dream.

im with you on that mate ...

the dbm system is STILL functioning and running - so if miners want to donate by mining to the dev of their choice - they still can ...

its still going through nicehash - as unfortunately to date - i have not been able to get a dev to build the multipools i wanted to incorporate this donation system ...

we can STILL dream ...

hi all ...

cloned the source and had a look ...

needed to make only ONE adjustment to the code - and that was to make the ~/Loco/src/leveldb/build_detect_platform executable ...

for some reason ( and i think its because you are building with windows - if you still are ) the attributes are always getting lost in the git uploads ...

the build went smooth and compiled smooth with qt5 ...

running Loco-Qt refused as with most fedora installations - the secp256k1 installation is not standard - and i needed to set in the path ( just a small shell script to run ) ...

the wallet came up - i closed it - wrote my loco.conf file WITHOUT the nodes - restarted the wallet - started syncing and for the last 25minutes has been running fine ...

really good work nightz ... tanx for the smooth functioning code - AND - quark algo Wink ...

mining on suprnova now - so block coin reward starting block should be here soon ...

Devs, this sounds interesting.  WHEN Trumpcoin picks up in value.  Would you consider using some of the Trump Fund for this?

https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/202583854-Submitting-a-Coin-to-Bittrex-Updated-02-29-16

Yes Im aware of this and the cost would be covered by the Trump Fund. However, Im not sure we get automatically listed
by paying? I understand people are eager to see the coin listed but I would like to say Ive traded coins that were about to
be listed on Bittrex, lots of excitement on the thread but it ended up a lot of excitement over very little. Thats not criticism of Bittrex,
I just dont want people getting carried away assuming Bittrex listing means massive price increase.

to be listed on bittrex someone has to fix themselves pm me and I may do it

someone has to 'fix' themselves to be listed on bittrex? ...

im not sure what you mean by that ...

836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][OC] Orangecoin v2.0.3 ✦ PoS ✦ Anon on: April 14, 2016, 01:39:34 PM
Big holders of this coin should help. I used to be a big holder, but not anymore. I sold A LOT.

Somebody has bought A LOT. The new big holders should be able to get DEV team for this coin.

I have tried to get soopy over, but he is always missing. I am still around, but not a big holder anymore.

Throwing money at a coin will not solve things completely. If a dev or team is driven, it only takes one dev (or persons on a team) with 1 OC each to make that 1 OC dream worth a million $.
We need a dev and team to be whole-heartedly committed, to achieve new boundaries of code and see what the blockchain can really do. We have parts of that team already.

Well said. Well said, Halo.

-Raven

agreed ... totally ...

hence the word TEAM being 'unounciated' in the post ...

but you cannot expect a TEAM to have 1oc and make it worth $1million if the major holders of the 'team' is but the few that are the richest ... that will not work - no matter which way you look at it ...

a shared expense and wealth is the ONLY way you will do this - unless you get contracters to come in - do the job - and leave - getting PAID ( not invested in oc ) in btc for the 'job' ...

if my team and i came in and did this - with no oc in our pockets - how fair would that be? ...

as a team - shared wealth AND shared responsibility would be the priority ... but having said that - it all goes to hell if you dont have a team LEAD to have the ultimate say after the voting is done ...

sounds too corporate for you? ... it probably is ... but it works and can make a coin pull itself from obscurity - to the the forefront ...

there are some MAJOR holders of oc - that should share some of that wealth if they want to realize the coins potential ... its the only way to attract the attention and focus of devs willing to put time and effort in ...

thats my 1oc worth ( which is more oc than i actually own ) ...

#crysx

Of course one wouldn't want to do anything without receiving something for their work, but that something received doesn't always necessarily have to be worth something tangible or monetarily backed. Something is lost along the way when something becomes corporate.

If someone wants to come in and provide a service, services including dev work, then they should speak up. Do you think community funds can be raised for something of quality or innovation? I sure as hell do. The amount of momentum, news, and limelight would bring all types of people.

We have the OCDF (development fund) for stuff like this. If a dev provides something innovative, then I'll ask the community if the dev can be given all or some of the fund. With 200k+ OC in it, that's enticing. Want to make OC worth 50 cents? $1? $100?

Want to be paid in btc? Make the work worth it to the rest of the world and they will pay you in the markets. If an innovative dev can't stand behind their work and believe in it, then there's no reason for them to be working on OC or any other coin --- aside from the public's favoring of the dev's work (if the public doesn't like his work and the market shows it, that's not what I'm talking about). We are all trying to make OC grow. We all have our parts. When a dev releases code (soopy in this case), raven and I would hit all the social outlets or connections we had. It all feeds off each other. Cycle breaks, it's hard to get back in the groove, which is kind of where we're at now.

To anyone wanting to work on OC needing payment: Show the community something worth our hard earned OC and we'll go from there. Could be a plan, could be code to push on git, could be just about anything. We are open-minded and receptive. We discuss offers publicly. Some get turned away, some don't. Community consensus. Smiley

I have to agree with Halo, we openly discuss and move forward as a community.

I hold 100k I Can donate If we get moving forward again with news and development.

Cheers!

-Raven

ok - all good ...

do as you will - with the community at the helm ... thats a good way to make decisions and make sure its adhered to - as the responsibility falls back on the community ...

but as to entice devs into such a consensus that the dev ( or dev team ) is at the whim of community direction? ... well - i can only say basically what i have said earlier ...

communities are great for general decision making and planning - but core development work AND putting things into practice AND ensuring that it functions under a specific plan ... these things are DECISIONS that need to be made by the core team - and the development team that heads the project - not by the community ...

the majority of community members consist of investors and traders and bagholders - NOT by core devs ... dev work falls on dev teams - and as such - require specific knowledge and ( sometimes ) hard decision making - which should never fall on the community's shoulders ... if the community members were all core devs - then no problems ... but they are not ... members of the oc community ( or any coins community for that matter ) are a mix of traders and investors and laborers and nurses and accountants and ... see where im coming from? ...

the core decisions need to made by the core team ... create a core team ( headed by a LEADER - which doesnt necessarily mean a dev ) which can be decisive and can progress development - and you will have a winning formula ... leave it to the accountants and bricklayers and others - and you will have people that control what could possibly be a successful coin - down a path that really only a development team should be leading ...

these same people - the nurses and factory workers and others - will normally only be interested in their investment growing and flourishing at the hands of a competent development team ...

i know - as im one of those community members - and have been part of ( and still am ) developments teams ... though not necessarily with this coin currently - had i the inclination to invest - i would want to know that its being lead by competent people and a leader with a vision ...

this is obviously just my opinion and can be completely disregarded ... but i know what i would want - and it certainly would involve a team that didnt just do what the community wanted per se - but did what was necessary for the growth and success of the coin and the coins investors / community ...

Yes, the result is, but at the moment the gap is very small, but still progress is being made

That's why I will release a sp-mod ultimate with all kernals optimized. Decred donators wil get a 0.1 BTC discount. Profitabillity is changing from algo to algo.
I have optimized all the 17 algos from x1 to x17, When I merge my kernals into the latest 1.7.6 branch other unkown algos will be faster as well. M2m, c11, sib etc..

Why is sib so slow on the GPU? On the CPU it's .73 x11, on GPU it's only .23.

Current opensource GOST implementations are pretty slow. I made a faster one for AMD and I will look into the cuda one soon.

I did one, too - WAY better. The current GOST one is dead slow.

yup ...

i still want quark Wink ...

im looking at changing granite and ozziecoin to quark ( or a variation on the algo quark ) - so any optimization will be welcome ... though a private kernel would be even more welcome - and paid for ...

so i can mine them both when thefarm gets back up again ...

Hello

I have been using sp decred #4 with good results on the GTX970, so i decide to move it to one of my 750Ti's rigs

it only mines 1 card, the rest stays in standby  Shocked

it is something related with intensity, so i decide to test.

at -i 26.5 it will mine 4 cards, not more.
at -i 26 will work all of them (6 cards)

dunno what is the default, this behavior is not seen on the GTX970, however someone here recommended use for the GTX970 -i 28.9 and he nailed it!, now the miner is more stable, hashrate is closer on the pool (still 10 to 15% slow than the miner), but at least it is better (it used to be 20% slow (pool vs miner))

lubuntu 14.04 x64, intel G3250, H81Pro-BTC 6xGigabyte 750Ti stock, 32W power limit, getting 515MH/card.
power: 325W at the wall, power efficiency: 9.5MH/W.

pool reports between 2.4 and 3Gh so it is not very stable Sad it got me a little worried, any thoughts?
pool is zpool.ca

dropping the gpu cards in earlier versions - this has happened up until version #7 from my tests ... mostly - the cards appear after quite a number of shares being submitted ... but occasionally the last card is the one that is completely dropped from the mining list ...

i only have one gb 750ti oc lp to test with now - as thefarm is down until i can find another place for it ... and even then with the card i CAN test with - it is the card that is in my machine that im using - so i cant push it to full intensity ... it always needs to be pulled back a little ...

but what i have found is that even with the card thats being used in the system - the intensity level on decred-spmod#7 works nicely on -i 29.6 ... even when i had the gb 980ti g1 / extreme cards atthose intensities - it mined really well ...

later today ( after running my errands ) i will test decred-spmod#9 if all goes well ... ill also try and get the test system running as well as the 980ti beast my friend has loaned me for a few weeks ...
