821  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: A new ASIC is coming on: July 02, 2013, 10:39:44 PM
yeah well i guess since you guys are acting like idiots i'm not gonna post anymore about the asic.

ohhh noooeez, please don't threaten us with not buying any of your products. You know what guys since your being such asses I'm going to not let you buy any of my magical ASIC. I'll show you by making no money!

Wow you are such a fucking idiot.  I wasn't saying I was selling a chip moron.    I was giving a heads up that a new 65nm is coming out.   Secondly, if you even knew much about the Asic game you would know that 65nm is smaller than the current Avalon chips.  Try paying attention to details.

I'm pretty sure that the big question is why you would 'announce' something 1-3 hours before you are willing to release the news. I guess I just don't get it. Announcements are usually for development and discussion. IF there is a company selling STOCKED 65 NM asic and is not a scam, I really don't see why they would need any more PR than that. They would sell out in a few days anyway if it is legit and not wildly overpriced.
822  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: A new ASIC is coming on: July 02, 2013, 10:23:39 PM
Prediction:

New company 'Butterside Down" that promises delivery within 2-3 months based on 9 nm technology. They will offer a Habanero, Super-single, Super-Single-Fattyboomboom and a Mega-Rig.

Close enough?
823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: {}NanoTokens[NAN]Check point coming to fix block reward on: July 02, 2013, 09:15:52 PM
we really do, and at this time I can't change it without tearing the prize/drawing logic apart.

Once the site is all consolidated and running smoothly I may take a look at handling donations and promos separately. The lottery script is fairly straightforward at the moment, and tracking these items outside of existing logic will add more to the lotto than the entire sum of the drawing code at this time. It's not something that's going to come online in the next few hours.

Coin devs and promoters wanting to donate was not part of our original plan. It's been brought up to me several times, and in each case when I give out an address it's made clear to them what will happen.

This lottery today is not for a bounty and may or not be made into a permanent part of the site.  I made several changes to the scripts after the drawing Sunday and wanted to run the script for something "small". r3wt liked the promo and decided to juice the pot.

So now it's not small - but that's how it works.

I plan to add a donations page to all of the lotteries, and it will be clearly explained there as well.

No worries,
Honestly you are worth the coins for setting it up. Why haven't 'reservations' updated with ticket purchases? Or am I looking at the wrong thing?

Bitfury is so badass! Now let's see if chip-sales are in the pipeline. I would LOVE to get my hands on some early chips for a DIY Project Smiley
825  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL ASIC seized by EU , european & german Customs on: July 02, 2013, 08:31:17 PM
Well,

one of the german community member posted in the german section that his BFL got seized by the customs. They believe that the CE Zerification is  non-complian and fictional.  They also failed to have a EU conformity declaration and a user handbook with information.

The main reason why it got a suspect by the customs: they included a american power cord in the package! Holy moly what would've happend if the user used that cable? USA(120volt)(germany 230volt)

That guy would be burned by now.

The package goes now to the Office of the Federal President for further inspection.  It MAY happen that Butterflylabs gets "blacklisted" by the european custums and all packages that go in the EU gets seized!!!

Inaba: I dont want to ruin your business. I just know that you dont read PM/s or Emails. So I thought that this Thread was the best to inform you guys. I have a lot of experience with german customs (through my job of importing stuff) and I know that this is  a very serious condition right now. They think that you just "printed" the CE label and put it on their without checking your components...
I may help your company to get cleared  by the customs, but that process consums a lot of time and money.

That sucks, but if you order a damn ASIC and still try using a US power cable (That don't even fit Euro Plugs) you have to be dumber than a sack of rocks.
826  Economy / Auctions / Re: 60 GH BFL SINGLE 11 DECEMBER on: July 02, 2013, 08:27:30 PM
ill bid only if escrow is possible.

I am selling it ONLY because I URGENTLY need money NOW.

You URGENTLY need money now, so you set auction end date 2 weeks into July?
827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: {}NanoTokens[NAN]Check point coming to fix block reward on: July 02, 2013, 08:23:30 PM
r3wt did indeed visit the lotto:

Click the image to go play.

Did you really take the 500 'rake' from the money OP GAVE to the lottery?
828  Economy / Securities / Re: [ANN]BTCT:BFMINES - PMB - Escrow until operation start - Bonus divs first months on: July 02, 2013, 08:01:59 PM
I may very well be misunderstanding the offering or maybe I am just daft. Is this mining bond really just selling shares of a 120 Gh/S Bitfury for initial market value of 400 BTC?

No, this is a mining contract for 1mhs per contract initially sold at BTC0.004. There's more to it than just shares of hardware, but technically, these contracts can be backed by anything.

I've addressed this to some extent in my latest article (which should be mandatory reading for anyone considering purchasing contracts):

http://coin.furuknap.net/bfmines-bitcoin-mining-contracts-ready-for-listing-heres-how-you-should-evaluate-investing/

.b

DO NOT BUY!! RIPOFF!!

For those that don't know, furknap sold all his ASICMINER shares for 1.7btc and apparently used the proceeds to purchase this miner. He must, by now, realize his folly, and that there is an almost 100% likelihood that buying this miner is a losing trade and will never earn back what he paid.

He is trying to pass on this loss to bitcoin investors like you by launching this offering.

Although the asset has been approved, I strongly encourage people to stay away as it is a guaranteed money loser. IE: You will NEVER earn back in divs what you will pay for it. Furknap knows and is basically offering a way overpriced PMB.

-helixone

You can of course believe what you want, but there is no reason to be a douchebag about it. What does the fact that he sold ASICMINER at 1.70 have to do with anything? I sold a bunch at 2.20 and sure, while it in hindsight was a bad sell I also purchased them under 0.50 so why cry over making 5x your money?
829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: {}NanoTokens[NAN]Check point coming to fix block reward on: July 02, 2013, 07:57:33 PM
Going to run a quick lotto.  Not many people have nanotokens yet so we'll see how it goes.

http://lotto.coinworld.us/test/

Notice the test in the URL this isn't on the main page. We'll draw in just a little under 6 hours if anyone wants to play.

i will put up 5,000 for the lottery
To get in or have it in the main page ?
no, i'm just putting the money in for the lottery, i do not wish to enter it myself.

Awesome, communicate with the lottery organizer and get the price there ASAP. Will make the pool a LOT bigger Smiley

Seriously? You are expecting people to invest with THIS little info? No proof of purchase, who is 'my fella'? You have to be mentally slow to buy into this.

833  Economy / Auctions / Re: California in-hand BFL Jalapeno, same day free shipping via eBay! on: July 02, 2013, 06:07:14 PM
i dunno if we can compete with the idiots from ebay ... my bid is 5 BTC

I was thinking the same thing.

8 btc.

I think you are at the top of what to expect ROI wise from a Jalapeno @ 5 GH/s. No sense in competing with the tards from Ebay paying May Blade-prices for hash rate @ 2x the diff. .
834  Economy / Auctions / Re: California in-hand BFL Jalapeno, same day free shipping via eBay! on: July 02, 2013, 06:05:51 PM
this Jal can easy up to 7Gh/s+ with new firmware.

Hah, yeah. If you feel like upgrading the fan, downloading and burning new firmware (voids warranty) and buying the equipment to do so (which is about as expensive as the new hash rate is worth).
835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: {}NanoTokens[NAN]Information thread on: July 02, 2013, 06:03:43 PM
Sorry,
With 5 block reward, and 0.5 BTC investment "earning" you 24500 coins makes the coin virtually worthless and far too hard to mine at current diff. I'm out.

Either hard fork and up block reward considerably, or lower bounties by a factor of at least 10 and destroy 90% of premine. No one is going to mine this coin for 5 block reward when you hand out 1000s of coin as bounty and keep 30

Also: I am assuming that 0.5 BTC is for coin dev? Is this another Hazard coin?

no i paid .1 apiece to everyone who helped me compile and did little jobs for me. an attempt will be made to restore the block reward at the next checkpoint, as i've said now countless times.

Ah, cool. Well, something still has to be done about the block reward I think.

ok now you're just being funny.

Actually, I was just being stupid. Didn't ready the whole text. Sounds good. Do keep us updated on how it goes.

I'm surprisingly ok with a hard fork and client update over HUGE block rewards and massive instamine. Honestly don't even think its needed, keep block reward @ 5 and destroy 90% of premine (publicly send coin to null address) and we all good.

read the bounty list on cct. the premine is all reserved for one thing or another. destroying the premine makes no sense

My point here was that perpetually low block reward (5) the premine is all of a sudden very large and the bounties absolutely insanely large.
839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Sexcoin - coin for adult industry on: July 02, 2013, 02:28:35 PM
Link for the new client??
Not yet ... it's still in beta
We will release the new version as soon as we are sure that everything works fine

Since the old client crashes more often then a stock car it might be a good idea to release the new client ASAP.
