We want the Threadowner to UPDATE his OP here. Its a shame!

The subreddit at reddit.com/r/myriadcoin is updated more frequently. What information are you concerned about?

If Nut2Pool can't be bothered to look into his stratum problems, can we get some more people to open up Skein pools that have intelligent implementations? The invalid share submission problem is very old and it's kind of embarrassing to the pool owners to make a pool without the fix.

We will take a look into it. maybe Ahmed or Nut2pool can help us with the vardiff for Skein and MPOS ?

You want US Startums ? Ok we can deliver that, dont think its needed unless your connection to europe is rly bad.

I'm sure US will be fine. I don't personally mine with Skein but a whole pool is being eliminated with one remaining. This isn't healthy. I'm sure you will get a lot of Skein miners since the other option apparently is one with a 3.5% fee.
823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Myriad: Uniting all miners on a single blockchain - The Utopian Cryptocurrency? on: March 31, 2014, 09:15:34 PM
Does it support merged mining?

If so, does that include being able to be a secondary chain in a merge or does it support it only in the case of its being used as the primary chain in the merge?

-MarkM-

I'm not sure. Would this add extra security to the blockchain? What would be the benefit of this?

Thanks for giving me updated lists of coins guys. I'll update the list shortly and get you your coins! Also, that "map of coins" website looks to be really helpful actually.

I donated 20,000 MYR to the bounty fund. I would like this specifically to be given to whoever makes the Android Wallet for MYR.

MyriadCoin!

I am trying to mine myriad with groestl algo.
But in stablehash.com there are some users with big amount of rejected shares... and i get 20% of projected amount of coins

Tried p2pool - but, again, something is fishy. For example, people with 3 times my hashrate, receive 100x the coins from block :S
Whats wrong?! Are p2p pools using PPLNC system?

Hi I am mining on http://myr-groestl.poolerino.com/. Looks good to me. Give it a try.

Glad to see the community helping each other out.

Updated Reddit Layout. Still a very light blue background, not light grey. I can make the change if need be but let me know how this looks:

ha, looking good, nice work. we'll be getting some more design stuff going soon Smiley

Are you a dev?
830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Alt coin to invest in 2014 on: March 31, 2014, 08:47:47 AM
I like the concept behind myriadcoin. I'd like to see if more coins will be developed based on the same idea in the future and if any of them is going to be more successful.

Holy shit, I didn't think Myriad was going to be represented here because most people don't know about it yet.

831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question on Darkcoin on: March 31, 2014, 08:31:43 AM
Take a good hard look at Myriad until it clicks. It makes everything else (except DarkSend) feel instantly outdated.

Then, when you take a look at it and forget about it, come back a week later and take a good hard look at it again. Make sure it clicks this time.
832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do we want in an altcoin? on: March 31, 2014, 08:28:44 AM
asic resistant, the most important thing for me is, you know, have a chance to mine the coin, otherwise if i can't mine why bother with it?

can't mine it = forget about it

Check out Myriad.

Please don't glance over this post.

I would love to get this on Mintpal. What can we do to speed it up?
https://www.mintpal.com/voting
BTC and clicks.

They usually list innovative coins as their market pick. Well MYR is right about the top of the list right now for that.
Maybe if we do a re-tweet thing. Any thoughts?

A RT thing would help. I just voted 5 times for it.

I'm not a big fan of gpucoin or the store front, but I'm impressed with how quickly they got an end user market up and running. Would love to see something like this for myr.

This will come in time. Not many people know about Myriad still.

I made a new post here hoping to catch the attention of new miners: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=550997.new#new

837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Myriad: Uniting all miners on a single blockchain - The Utopian Cryptocurrency? on: March 31, 2014, 03:18:56 AM
The ASIC progression and algorithms designed to exclude rather than include:

Bitcoin (SHA256) --> Litecoin (Scrypt) --> Vertcoin (Adaptive-N) --> Darkcoin (X11) --> Huh --> Playing "Keep Away" from ASICs.

However, ASICs will be seemingly inevitable for every coin as technology improves exponentially. I don't think it's healthy to hop from coin to coin hoping it will remain fair for the average miner.

One solution is MyriadCoin. The blockchain can be mined by any of 5 algorithms concurrently, not linearly. SHA-256, Scrypt, Groestl, Skein, and Qubit miners all get 1/5 of the blockchain "pie". Each algorithm is designed to solve a Myriad block every 2.5 minutes with independent difficulties that adjust after every block they solve. This means with 5 algorithms a block is solved by one of these algorithms every 30 seconds on average.

No matter how many ASICs mine this coin with SHA256 or Scrypt or any future ASICs of Groestl, Skein, or Qubit, those miners will still receive 1/5 of the total block rewards.

The best part? Any new algorithm (e.g. Adaptive-N or X11) can be switched in by a popular vote to welcome a new mining community.

If running away from ASICs doesn't seem like a healthy future for cryptocurrencies, then take a good look at Myriad.

Momentum: protoshares and memorycoin (modified momentum with an added AES component)

And YacCoin is a clone/crap coin, YaCoin is the one you would want to mention as an N 14 coin right now.

Oh I forgot to add Momentum, thanks. YaCoin goes under Scrypt-N or a new category: N14?

Also do you want the MYR for the Momentum coins or should I donate to bounty fund?

scrypt-jane/chacha whatever. N 14 is the current n factor which changes constantly.
Higher n factors make it harder to mine on higher end hardware and tends to equalize performance between cards/cpus, which I think is good for descentralization.

I posted my address before, here it goes again: MEokvy1zb4BE4GrTZkMbrjrUa3r5bMNe2h
Hope they are worth something in a few months...Cheesy

OK gotcha. Sent more MYR your way Smiley

All proceeds from the dice games will currently go towards Myriadcoin development. Play for a good cause!

Addresses, rules, results and proof can be viewed here:

http://cryptap.us/myr/dice/

Since this is currently for charity, the 500 MYR bounty for flaws is rescinded. If you do find a flaw I will gladly refund any lost coins, PM me.

Feedback is welcome.

Edit:
Max bet limits have been raised.

That's awesome that the dice game is going to charity right now.
