Anyone know if the Remote manager ETHman can run on Linux?

It looks like there is no Linux version included in the builds. I've tried the WINE program and it works under Ubuntu for ETHMan but only issue is that when you minimize, the program disappears and you need to force quit and re-run it from scratch, since you can't run more than 1 instant.

Indeed the warning message about max bet has been removed during the last update because many players asked for it.

But it was probably not a good idea and even more players are complaining now, so it will come back after the next update  Smiley.

Cheers,
Gab

In that case what you should do is have some type of option where the user is allowed to disable and enable it on their own.

In the default case you leave it disabled wirh a new account. I understand that there are some people out there who are doing the YOLO and betting their entire accounts on a single roll but for most people it ends up in losses due to accidentally clicking it.
8203  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Creators of Dicing 🎲 | 22 Billion Bets | 112+ BTC Jackpot! on: May 29, 2018, 07:32:37 AM
I don’t understand how premedice works. I always lose my funds when I try to bet😒

Well there are 2 ways this is happening.

First one is you are betting with a very low odd of winning, something like 9900x or so. In this case you need to take around 10000 bets to get a winning roll.

If you are getting on 50/50 or so and can't make any money, my guess is you tried martingaling probably and you basically double your bet on a loss and go back to your base bet on a win.

This strategy can work in the short run but eventually you will get like 10-20 losses in a row and you will run out of capital and get cleaned out. It's how most newbies end up losing all their BTC.
8204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: mine litecoin with cpu on: May 29, 2018, 12:00:27 AM
you are about 10 years to late for that.  Roll Eyes

Not really.

CPU mining Litecoin was never a thing. It went straight to GPU mining.

Only coin you could CPU mine was BTC itself back in 2009-2010. After the GPU software was released it was game over for CPU.

8205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8th Alt coin thread. Or what to do now that asics are all over the place. on: May 28, 2018, 09:07:04 AM
Mining might not be too bright after today...

Looks like heavy manipulation going on with ETH.

All day there was an iceberg order on Bitfinex for ETHUSD and over $150 million or so were sold. Then there was a huge crash and now the shorts are lining up like crazy for ETH.

The Bitfinex funding rate was never this high before, somebody has some insider info maybe.

Once ETH profitability goes... so do the other algos.

My calculators are already saying less than $1 day per RX GPU.

ETH and XMR seems to be manipulated big time.

I have been adding more EOS and cheap ETH at exchanges at every major dips.

Almost all of GPU farm (177khs tuned) now is full on with Monero and NH-CN7.

@grchina - EOS may have its day coming mainnet launch but as far as adoption is concerned ETH is still the platform closest to a "Microsoft" today. I will be trading EOS for profits but investing long with ETH.

Monero is also looking bad.

Looking on the weekly charts the area it is right now $157 or so was major resistance back in 2017 and was very strong support in 2018 where it found support 3-4 times. Right now it's testing it a 5th time and with the descending triangle , it will most likely fail and break.

The daily profits on the Vega's and old Tahiti GPUs will tank big time.

Only coin hanging in there is ZEC probably due to the Gemini listing.
8206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If I "just" wanted to 3x? on: May 28, 2018, 09:01:09 AM
You can't just come here and say "I want to triple my investment" and expect to get money for free just like that.

Do you know how difficult it is for most hedge funds to make 10% a year? And you want 300%?

You can make that much by taking really risky trades but you need to be prepared to lose most of your funds.

You can even go on Bitmex and buy those Up and Down contracts.
Eventually you will pick a right time and BTC will go up or down $1000 in a week and it will pay off 10x.

can you add enable/disable max bet on your next update. I had an experience pressing max bet accidentally.

I also think that there should be some change on clicking max button. Ex:: Are you sure to hit max bet.
This not a problem here, and I do not think that it should be add this disable or enable feature here cause if only you want to use it then you will press it. Many people here that played never have complained it anyway
Yeah, no one complained about it yet. And I haven't faced any problem about accidentally clicking max button. But I think a change will be good here.

Already submited the issue regarding max button. Wish after the update which will occur on May 30th, this issue will be fixed and works as before. Tbh, it will give a bad experience if a user accidently click the max button, which is very easy to happen when we are on mobile, and have no warning like "Are you sure bla bla bla!".

It's not only on mobile.

I've got that button so many times when I was on the desktop.

Basically sometimes it's fun to just manually set bets every few rolls by adjusting the Over/Under and also adjusting bet size.

Like if you think the next bet will be a loser just wager 1 or 0 Sats and save yourself a loss and when you do this a bunch of times you will eventually miss click and hit Max and then hit Roll and end up cleaning out your account in one instant.

8209  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to start Mining for the Newbie on: May 28, 2018, 06:48:09 AM
If he is a real beginner then he should just buy an ASIC first.

Mining with GPUs is much more complex as requires basic computer knowledge.

After he learns the ins and outs of the mining world then he can buy more ASICs or move on to a GPU mining rig.

Most people adopt pretty quickly because mining is pretty addictive in the beginning but it's not for everybody.
8210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What happen with ETH Price ? on: May 28, 2018, 06:45:39 AM
In the last 24 hours there was major sell pressure on ETHUSD.

Look up the chart for the day on Bitfinex and you will see a massive iceberg order which took all day to fill.

By some estimates it seems the order was of magnitude $150 million or so.

Maybe it's some ICO cashing out or some early early ETH adopters.
8211  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't hold your coin on exchange for long time. on: May 28, 2018, 06:43:11 AM
I am pretty sure most people who have been involved with Bitcoin for the last few years either keep their coins in a paper wallet, cold storage or a hardware walllet.

We have all been there and saw that guy standing outside of MtGox holding a sign that read "Where are our Bitcoins"?

However most new people don't have that experience and they just keep it on an exchange because it's safer than keeping it on their Windows desktop with malware. Or they don't know how to do a proper cold storage. Or they don't know where to buy a hardware wallet.
8212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is it wise to mine Musicoin ? on: May 27, 2018, 09:20:40 AM
Basically no matter what coin you mine, the daily profits it's more or less the same. Especially since it's listed already on WhatToMine.

In my opinion I think Musicoin is undervalued and the dev is great. However it needs a large artist to hit it off. Right now most of the songs on their platform are mostly from Indie artists.

So you can mine it and hold it if you believe in its potential. I think in the future the supply will be reduced since lately it's very large compared to its total supply.
8213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 51% attacks, "secret asics", Exchanges losing money on: May 27, 2018, 09:07:13 AM
Every few years we get these so called attacks on some coins.

Last year a few of the Dagger hashimoto algo were targeted.
I think one was called Soil and can't get the name of the other one. All I remember is that it was run by some woman dev.

Both coins had a double spend attack on Bittrex deposits. I don't remember if they were successful in getting any coins but I remember it killed the coins value shortly after and then it became even easier to attack because it had an even small hashrate.

So yes, this is possible on many low to mid cap coins since they have less hashrate and easy to attack.
8214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dummy HDMI plugs on: May 25, 2018, 12:07:50 AM
Depends what GPU you have.

If you got old GPUs like the 280X or Radeon 7xxx series you don't need these plugs.

If you got the newer RX series then you need them because you will either not be able to see your temps or you will be stuck at a low clock because the system thinks there is no monitor connected to it.

You only need 1 per system generally. Usually plugged into the GPU which is in the 16x 3.0 PCIe slot.
8215  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there a trading university/school? on: May 25, 2018, 12:04:07 AM
No they are not the same. There is basically 2 types of categories here

1) Economics or Finance degree from a college or University. This is generally a bachelor or master or PhD degree from an acreditted college. This is at least 4 years and maybe some undergrad even.

This degree won't teach you anything about trading. They don't teach TA here, it's not their goal.

Only way how they would learn to trade is if they got offered a job at some prop firm or trading desk at a bank.

2) Online or Seminar trading course

There are basically thousands of these courses found online and even locally. Basically they promise "Make millions without leaving your house" and they generally range from a $5 simple eBook to a $25000 local seminar course.

They basically teach the basics and the rest is up to you. Most likely 99% of people taking those courses lose money. Only 1% or so might survive and make good money.
8216  Economy / Gambling / Re: PrimeDice should reverse the deposits???????? on: May 24, 2018, 11:59:06 PM
we all know they have made thousands of btc profit from USA,UK,AUS players. so its not a big deal to reverse them.(no loss for owners)
I do not know it, can you show me their accounting documents?

He doesn't have any documents or proof or anything.

He basically lost BTC by gambling and now he is using this lame excuse to get his money back.

Basically no different than the people who email support saying that they clicked "Max Bet" and ended up losing their entire balance on 1 bet.

It's been a few days and I am pretty sure Stunna won't even waste his time responding to this thread.
8217  Economy / Gambling / Re: MooJoy ★ Provably Fair ★ PLAY Jackpot, Roulette, Dice +5 more ★ MOBILE on: May 24, 2018, 10:26:46 PM

The services that generally require you to watch a video or download some app are usually the worst. They are full of ads and sometimes you can easily get some type of malware on your computer.

I think instead of making people watch videos as a form of faucet you should just use a regular faucet with very small amounts like 100 satoshi or so.

Because I am pretty sure most people here won't want to go to those malware type websites so you can get ad revenue.

Thank you for your great suggestion! MooJoy is working on both Android and iOS instead of desktop, providing the mobility.
On your concern about malware, perhaps you have seen those spammy ads but not ours, definitely not the same. Smiley There are many other offers in our app that's not ads but rather, easy to complete tasks (don't have to watch video or download app). Doing that earn you at least ~131 satoshi, while the effort you spent is almost the same to regular faucet that giving 100 satoshi. Some that require more effort, a few dollars worth of bitcoin is possible.
I don't disagree with you on most people won't want to go to malware websites, but like I said, ours is not. My sharings to you, would love to hear if you have some to share!

I agree the worst part is after you watched the ad and finish downloading the app there is a chance that you won't be credited or recorded as some actions will transfer you to another website/app. I do think they have done this instead of having a faucet so that they are not entirely giving free money away as they will benefit from your as well as forcing the player to deposit their own money to have their in-game currency.

It really depends. When one downloaded and not getting credited, so do us. We don't receive the revenue and then not crediting. Think that's fair. No enforcement on depositing own money, since there are offers that one could earn the credits from and then win the draw. Those who are luckier, win with few tickets purchased.

Always on Win-Win situation on where they do really think up on how to benefit without the need on spending money to be given away into its possible players. They do impose to watch videos or download app to monetize bust same as being said above no one would easily download something randomly on net we are really prone to danger yet we might able to download a malware which would compromise our devices. No gambling site will give out free money without benefiting.Yet they can able to make focus on having a faucet instead.

Agree with your win-win situation! I clarified the malware concern you have on the above, do share your thoughts. Well yeah, no gambling site runs without making revenues, cost imposed to running a site. We won't know how much we are talking about but we are using provably fair, we have no way to cheat and take extra advantage from our players, everyone stand a fair chance to win.

pretty sure it is another btcheat this time for mobiles
I can't find any pc version of the game,so it must be some application that is almost guaranteed is adware based
"given away over U$50,000 worth of prizes to thousands lucky players" - any proof of that besides your words?
I highly doubt you are getting enough revenue to get 50k usd profit, not even talking about giving them away in prizes

I'm not really sure how old is the app? But $50,000 seems to be too much for such app to give for their users freely. Surprisingly, 90% of the reviewers says that it is a good app to try. Yet, there is no single proof of any payments made by this app.
It reminds me WHAFF application that I used to play years ago, I wonder if this app works like WHAFF?

For the first time I saw any bitcoin gambling related to the android version but when I read about the review, it is just not a recommendation to play after all, like panjul said. This is somehow just like apps that eat our balance here, and you guys do not even have any escrow to change the diamond into btc so why must we play and gamble our money there? And $50k prize? Any proof of this?

There are various type of prizes (if you looked into it) we are offering, from cash credits, gift cards and vouchers to gadgets, it's not possible for us to show you all the proof for the prizes we have sent. Don't think official stores allow us to provide proof of payment there?
And yes, a little similar to WHAFF but there are significant difference that you can see if you tried MooJoy.
The gems can be turned into coins > btc. Like what's clarified on the above, and many gambling or bitcoin sites are using, provably fair method which has no way to cheat, it's fair chances for those who join to win and there is a way provided to verify. You should have known this if you already looked into MooJoy, it's specified in there.

Thanks for the reply but I don't think that going thru these loops to get a faucet is the exact same as claiming faucets on sites like PD or Bitsler.

On those all you need to do is just enter a captcha and that's it and you are given the faucet. You don't need to worry about hidden malware. Most of those sites basically target people who use older versions of Windows without security updates and they can do Ransomware or Hidden miner crap.

So nobody will use your website when there is no benefit compared to a more legit site, unless maybe the faucet you were offering was substancally larger.
8218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Doge Mining 2018 +Proof on: May 24, 2018, 07:57:22 AM
are you serious Huh

doge can not be mining

doge before is joke

it not has a project

I haven't been following Dogecoin for years but it actually was Scrypt mineable back in 2014 or so.

It was actually more profitable to mine at one point than Litecoin itself.

However last I heard it became merge mineable because it was ending it POW miner reward cycle.

Either way its most likely not profitable to mine it directly.

However I haven't checked out the links he posted in this thread because they look scammy.

8219  Economy / Gambling / Re: CHANGE YOUR LIFE on: May 24, 2018, 07:34:30 AM
Lol has anyone ever heard this sounds like a scam if I have ever seen one!! Is there a live stream of numbers being picked, I would like a little more information!

From what I understand it will be provably fair because it uses ETH block hash since it's an ETH smart contract.

I don't think most people would trust live stream since it's impossible to prove that it was actually live and not filmed previously.

The OP has been away I've asked him before to update the main post and change topic title. However he doesn't seem very computer savvy however he somehow managed to write a smart contract.

Either way this thread needs to be fixed starting from the main post.

I keep checking this thread everyday or so and keep waiting for the OP to reply and he never came back.

Basically this thread is a waste of time pretty much.

Some mod should just lock it.

This is becoming a thread made for lols pretty much and most of the replies don't make much sense anymore.
