8201  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin going Up to 500? on: March 27, 2016, 12:55:31 PM
I think the price will go up to $500 or more in the next two months, maybe later May or early June.

Thank you all.

Im just thinking about the Nano, it use only 150W at 28Mhs i saw.

That test was a few months ago. Hashrate has dropped a little due to the bigger DAG file.

It's more like 26Mh @ 150W.

But more interesting = 22Mh @ 65W with some down clocking.  Wink

It is not possible for 22MH @65W. The maximum down voltage is -100 mV with MSI afterburner as far as I know.

It's about Power Target or TDP Limit or however you want to call it and not voltage.

In AMD cards, you can only change the voltage to affect the power consumption. For R9 390 it is -100 mV for Afterburner.

I just noticed at today's bitcoin price, if you pay $0.2/kWh for electricity, the revenue is the same as the cost for S7 miners.

So the GPU mining can last at most 10 months. I wish it can last longer and distribute the Etherum more evenly.

Ya that's right scurry off rats as i own your ass.

How's that ANON coin faggotry working out for ya all this time ?

Monero one year later = ROFL

I see that many of the anon coins are dead from 2014. Now the only anon coin that is trading at good volume is DASH. The rest of them have very little trading.

The alive one I know of are Monero, Dash (darkcoin), Bytecoin. These three have largest market cap.

True, bit shame that the H61 is EOL Sad

I have a few H61 Asrock motherboard, it works very well. I hope H81 is still being produced.

H61 is quite cheap. Unfortunately, it has not been produced for some time.

Just sot of a question while we're on this topic, I would also like to try GPU mining but would just be using one GPU on my computer, if lets say Ive set it and install cgminer script, can i still use my computer browsing the forum? Too newbie really.

I think there should not be a problem now that only the GPU would be doing all the hard work instead of the CPU. You can browse the forums in the computer with no hassles at all.  Smiley

The only coin that will use CPU a lot is Ethereum. When you start the Etherminer, it will use the CPU a lot. After the initial set up, CPU usage will reduce.

Trump is quite an honest person. So he will not be the next president of US. He some times speak out his mind.

Always go all powered.

Yes, you say - all powered risers is overkill and technically not necessary - but the cost diff. between a powered vs. non-powered riser is minimal, so why take the chance with non-powered risers?

It depends on how many spare molex connectors you have from your power supply. If you have enough molex, then use powered risers.
8210  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Question about Valid Collateral on: December 04, 2015, 09:08:22 AM
the best collateral would be an account, it's easy to transfer the ownership and can be sold quite easily as well, but for 5 btc you need something like legendary with trust or hero with many trust

The best collateral would be an altcoin. I have seen plenty of loan requests using domains as a collateral and most of them are not accepted because the user is offering a shitty domain, if you can prove your site is worth 5btc or more then I'm sure someone will. Why do you need the 5 bitcoins in the first place?

not my site, but my account, i've made 20 btc with this account, so yes it's worth much more than a mere 1 btc

and no, altcoin ar enot a valid collateral they depreciate very easily, and a very unstable, i would not take any altcoin as a collateral not even litecoin

instead an hero account is still worth at least 0.5 even today
Hero or legendary account is a type of valid collateral considering that no many such accounts are existing at the moment. For the low level member accounts, altcoins are the best provided collateral. Most of lenders require the altcoins be listed at the major exchhanges and have high trading volume in case of liquidation. The high volatility may be a concern. The lenders could ask for 30%, 40% or more than the loan. In case the value of collateral drops down from the loan amount, lenders could set the rule asking to add more collateral.

Not many hero or legendary account holders ask for loans these days. The loan amounts are usually small. So lower rank accounts might be appropriate. The lender should ask for more than the loan amount for the collateral.

Monero should work, it has built in anonymity function. It does not rely on mixing. It is different from Dash.
