Bitcoin will be going all over the place for a little while, there won't be any proper ways to judge the value for a while as all the investors freak out and start to sell their Bitcoin.

Wait for the full-block capacity talk to die out, and there will be movements as normal. This is just brought on my the surge of news sites claiming that Bitcoin has collapsed.

If there is no full block increase in the next few months, I think the bitcoin price will go down again.

Bitcoin isn't going to make banks disappear. It's just meant to be an alternative payment/cash system. People will always need banks even if it's for just loans or whatnot. I suppose they could issue loans in bitcoin but banks will want to keep hold of the currency they can create/print/issue on their own will so in that respect bitcoin isn't preferable to them.

The central banks want to create or print the money. For the commencial banks, there is no difference between fiat and bitcoin.

There is one certain thing about Bitcoin - it will go down...way down, then back up...way up, then sideways for awhile.  Just when you think it is down it is up.  Then it seems like when I sell it goes up.

I do not care about the swings in the price. As long as it go up in price in long term. I am very happy.

For me no because bank still safe than bitcoin because bitcoin has a possible to hack and bitcoin value is not stable so its impossible that the banks will be disappear because of bitcoin... do you think guys if you forgot the password or you accidentally deleted your password in your laptop you can recover your account for me no so banks and atm's is always safe than bitcoin..

People lose more money every year stored in their bank accounts and atms as compared to Bitcoins, the only bitcoins that get stolen are because of either carelessness in handing private keys or investing in scams.

If we save the money in the "bitcoin banks", will that have the similar effect of being stolen like the fiat?

I don't think traditional banks will disappear, because they could just adapt their business model to this new reality. What is going to disappear for sure is their abuse of power and the massacre they do with ordinary people on exorbitant interest rates...

The banks can just use the bitcoin as well as the old fiat. There is nothing to prevent them from doing this.

Bitcoin can make new banks stronger. If a bank integrates bitcoin in its payment system and provides bitcoin related service, this bank will be very popular.
8207  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will be the highest price BTC can see in 2015? on: January 07, 2016, 04:13:11 PM
2015 has passed. So we can confirm the highest price in 2015 is $502 in Bitstamp. The 2016 price will be much higher.
8208  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will make a dozen new all-time highs in 2016 in different countries on: December 25, 2015, 06:23:29 PM
This could be bullish. Every time there is a new ATH in a currency, people who hold that currency will be panic buying BTC.

Then again, many people in those countries could already be holding "hard currency" like USD. We need to do more research.

Even if just 1% of the people in these countries where bitcoin is making ATHs are actually buying bitcoins as a hedge or investment, then that's tens-hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of folks buying per country that is affected. Sooner or later, the whole freaking planet will be panic buying these mysterious miracles and very few can comprehend such a dynamic and the potential outcome. Words can't describe such an outcome other than "Holy ....".

1% of people in the world is about 70 millions, if they hold $1000 worth of bitcoin, that is 70 billions, or $4000 dollars each bitcoin.
8209  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is that right good exhange or i get ripped localbitcoin on: December 14, 2015, 11:33:19 AM
In localbitcons, I usually have to pay higher price if I want to buy from seller. The spread is about 5-8%.
8210  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-12-05] Finally, interesting uses for the blockchain that go beyond bitcoin on: December 05, 2015, 08:53:34 AM
Nasdaq has used the block chain for security trading record and clearance. There will be more use with blockchain in the future.

We might have already reached the highest price of $502. There is no news or adoption to drive the price beyond.
