8221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I shut it down tonight boys. on: May 24, 2018, 05:53:05 AM
The OP shut it down and I added MORE gpu's,  One of us screwed up...and it aint me. Wink

What is the price of your electricity?
4.8 cents /kwh

Mine is double what his is ... I never shut anything down.  If the OP was paying 25+ cents per kwh, then I can see why he decided to get out.  Shutting rigs down isn't the right thing to do though.  Either keep them running or sell them.  Shutting them down and letting them sit is one of the worst ideas.

You are such a funny boy. Mining at 10 cents/kwh is not profitable at all. It's just a waste of time and bit money. Better try fishing or smth like that Smiley

Unless you are mining with dinosaur equipment like an Antminer S3 or a GPU from 2009 then you should always be able to turn a profit.

Even mining with the old R9 280X turns a profit with XMR which only uses like 125Watts and makes over 2 quarters a day.
8222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8th Alt coin thread. Or what to do now that asics are all over the place. on: May 24, 2018, 05:48:38 AM
corsair.com has a  sale    MEMORIAL2018   is discount code on all refurbished goods.

So the 1500 watt titanium ax1500i  refurb  is 350 -20% =  280  pretty good price

the rm1000x refurb is 140 - 28 = 112 good price for a 1000 watt gold psu.

I go9t this item

Flash Voyager® GTX USB 3.0 256GB Flash Drive (Refurbished)
CMFVYGTX3-256GB/RF
In Stock
Extra 20% Off Certified Refurbished!

https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Flash-Voyager-256GB-CMFVYGTX3-256GB/dp/B00LJWSHT4/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

it is fast and pretty good price for a 256gb stick that is basically an ssd.
cant pay me to buy a refurb psu, 1 in 5 regular 5 year warranty psus will die wit continuous mining use i have found in 2 - 4 years on average, brand doesn’t matter, rossville quarks, evga platinums, xfx plats etc etc

u have 10 psu sitting here waiting for waranty returns along with 30 amd gpus lol

waranties matter folks, a refurb waranty is 1 year, just enough time for it to die and leave u stuck with a brick

theres a reason why most platinum psu vendors offer 5 to 10 year waranties

Ive purchased many refurbished computer equipment and never had an issue.

If anything it's better than buying new because they test the equipment before they sell it.

Most of the refurbished products even have a warranty included.

However I guess it's your mileage may vary.
8223  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can't handle the drops - i'm gonna byu more BTTCC on: May 24, 2018, 02:18:30 AM
Bitcoin is driving me insane. 1000$ dropped today and what do I think??
Let's buy more Bitcoin! I will never get it that cheap again xD
Am I addicted yet? Do I need help?

You do realize that when markets drop, it usually drops faster than it rises. It usually due to fear.

When people panic it's usually when markets turn double digit red.

The stock markets are no different, they rise slowly but with bad news they can fall very fast.

Hence most of the global markets have some type of circuit breakers so prevent these crazy drops.
8224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can regular people mine anymore on: May 24, 2018, 02:11:59 AM
Looking at how much the price of BTC (and many others) dropped $600 today or so my guess is Mt. Gox Trustee sold off some more BTC.  And ive also been noticing a substantial increase in mining amount (daily) for me on equihash and DaggerHashimoto.  My guess there is alot of have abandoned ship on mining equihash because of the impending shipments of ASICs next month.

This is a common misconception. Mt God coins never hit an actual exchange.

There are billions of dollars in the OTC markets for BTC and that's where the coins are mainly sold.

They are sold privately and usually sent to an individual wallet and haven't moved since.

If the coins were sent to an exchange and sold off we would easily be able to trace which coins and which exchange.

8225  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 FAST, play BTC, LTC, ETH - rakeback, bonuses on: May 24, 2018, 02:07:01 AM
Claiming the site is rigged cannot be an excuse for not understanding how it works. The site is NOT a copy of any other dice site and results are fair. Period.

Anyone who claims otherwise please present a proof. People continuously claiming the site is a scam in our chat get a ban, unless they can present a proof, that's pretty reasonable.

Cheers,
Ethan

See above pics and decide .
Those pics are not proof, you didn't use the verifier correctly.  As many people have already told you, but you're ignoring them and being ignorant.  You're supposed to put 64 as the Nonce, not 1, since it was the 64th bet you made.

That's like walking into a real casino up to the blackjack table and telling the dealer that they're cheating when you have no idea how to play blackjack.

paid people .. why you people banned me in chat for 12 years ? why you are deleting my replies here ? you are scammer and i suggest to never play at yolodice for all new users want to play .try primedice ,stake ,bustadice , bitsler .Yolodice is a scam
So sad how people don't understand how gambling works if you can't afford to lose then don't gamble simple i had also gambled on the site and managed to pull of a good profit

He is probably new and feels like he was legitamitely cheated instead of just having bad luck.

When I started a few years ago, I assumed I was being cheated also because whenever I started betting larger and larger it would always lose. Whenever I had like 15 losses in a row, I would go all in on the 16th bet and still lose.

Then I learnt how exactly the provably fair works and basically came to the conclusion that I lost due to bad luck pretty much.

Basically people play slots everyday at the local casinos and with slots you cannot tell if you are being cheated or not.
I am sure there are regulations in place where the casinos get inspected from time to time but you cannot be 100% sure you aren't being cheated in that moment, but with provably fair and hashed seeds you know 100% that the bet result was fair.
8226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The PCI-e needs power? on: May 23, 2018, 10:18:24 AM
In a way yes, I have 6 rx 580 and two power supplies of 1000w, but I would like the 6 to work with a single power supply

Because that way I avoid having to bridge the power suplies

You are risking your GPUs, entire mining rig, and even your house by running 6x 580s on a single 1000w PSU. Even with BIOS mods and extreme undervolting, you still risk overloading your PSU and it may explode or catch fire. Either sell those 2 PSUs and get a good quality 1200w PSU or simply bridge both of your power supplies.

Trying to save on power consumption by eliminating PCIE connections is also not an option.

You can do 6 of the RX series GPUs with a 1000Watt PSU no problem. With a proper undervolt it should consume about 900 Watts or so.

If you have a quality brand then running it at that load should be no problem, also keep in mind that about 10% of that is losses in the PSU itself so in reality it uses only 800 Watts or so.

Regarding the PCIe riser power he should just connect those to the molex connections and the rest to the unused +12V and +5V wires he has left from the modular connections.
8227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8x RX470 GPU Mining Rig - Looking For Paid Support on: May 23, 2018, 10:12:20 AM
Basically it's normal for them to crash from time to time. It depends how frequent however.

I would just lower your memory clock to like 1900Mhz and it will hash at 27.5 but it will be stable at least. Not all GPUs can hash at 29Mhs.

For your power consumption you should undervolt each GPU by 100mV and it should still be stable and consume much less power and be much more cooler.
8228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PASL]-[PASCAL Lite]-[The Future is Almost Here] on: May 23, 2018, 09:58:47 AM
Anyone mine this coin with GiantB ?

I heard there are people that tried to mine this coin with your ASIC however due to the custom stratum pool software you will get large amounts of rejects for some reason.

I think up to 20-25% or so will he rejexts.

However Nicehash seems to actually work with the Pascal algo with the ASIC.
8229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you like about HITBTC exchange ..? on: May 23, 2018, 09:53:50 AM
I used the exchange before to sell some forked coins and didn't have any issues.

However I heard lots of bad feedback about the exchange.

Basically if you are dealing in large volumes your account can get frozen all of a sudden and withdraws denied.

My withdraw came thru without any issues. However it was annoying that they round up prices so sometimes you can't sell fractions of your coins and they basically end up as dust.

I think it's a really bad feature and the only exchange I know that does this.
8230  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What you should do when you lose most of money? on: May 23, 2018, 09:17:41 AM
The reason why most people end up losing money is because instead of doing research on their own or trading themselves they go on Bitmex trollbox and tale trades blindly.

Combing that with fear and greed is a total recipe for disaster.

Most people bought BTC at around $19K or so because they heard about their friend who got rich off it when he sold at $19K. Then when it started to go down, they called Bitcoin a scam and started shorting it.

And basically ended up losing most of their funds or everything.
8231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The Most Important "WHY" of Ending ASIC/FPGA and "HOW" We Get There on: May 22, 2018, 06:40:24 PM
We had this problem back in 2012-2013 when ASICs started appearing for BTC.

People assumed there would be 51% attacks and centralizations and in the end everything turned out fine.

Most likely ETH will go POS and it will be the end of profitable mining. There are just way too many GPUs on the market now and after ETH the mining rewards from the available coins will be nil.

Maybe in 2022 or so, GPU mining will be profitable again when everybody has already sold their GPU on Craigslist or eBay and the supply of mining GPUs is lower. Basically what happened in beginning of 2016.
8232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Always KYC (Know Your Customer) Why NOT KYO(Know Your Owner) on: May 22, 2018, 06:32:09 PM
Right now most casinos don't KYC.

There are a few that do in a scammy way. Basically they only ask for KYC when you win big and try to withdraw. They are already in the scam accusations thread.

However with Bitcoin and Cryptos and Blockchain going more and more mainstream and falling under regulation, Bitcoin casinos if they want to stay in business will need to comply.

Basically what is happening now with Bittrex, Poloniex and now Bitfinex. They were all unverified accounts and now you need to be verified on all of them.
8233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Different BIOS - flash type and ROM size on Sapphire Pulse RX580 8GB on: May 22, 2018, 07:50:36 AM
I don't know how is it with the newer cards but with the older Pitcairns or Tahitis you could flash lower ROMs and they would work no problem.

I remember that the original ROM or BIN was like 256kb but if you modified it with VBEtool it was like 128Kb and if flashed it still worked perfectly fine.

Those however had dual bios so it wasn't risky performing this.
8234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Buying another GPU - What's your pick? on: May 22, 2018, 07:47:47 AM
Basically the best cards are the ones which are sold out or overpriced.

It's actually pretty crazy that in most retail stores the RX AMD series are almost double from their MSRP when they were released on the market.

Your only choice now is Nvidia however they are crazy expensive .
8235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for Gpu Miners for Rent on: May 22, 2018, 07:45:00 AM
If you have gpu rig and want to rent then i am interested in taking that rig , if you are big miner or mining farm then msg me or contact me in telegram @jhanglu
will discuss more about that

Your best bet is to use a AWS from Amazon or Google or DigitalOcean.

You can rent someone's private rig but people are usually sneaky and they will see what you are mining and if it looks profitable they will just mine it themselves.

Basically whenever there is a very profitable coin, usually the Nicehash and MRR people get curious and if it's more profitable to mine directly they just switch over themselves and cancel your orders.
8236  Economy / Gambling / Re: PrimeDice should reverse the deposits???????? on: May 22, 2018, 07:40:30 AM
Guys dont you think primedice should reverse the deposits which were made by USA,UK,AUS Users from 2013-May to 2015.

They have stated they were no longer accepting  deposits from USA,UK,AUS. which states they were admitted/ accepted it is illicit to process deposits from USA,UK,AUS and  since 2015 they no longer providing deposit address for USA,UK,AUS. IP addresses.  dont you think they should reverse all the deposits which were made by USA,UK,AUS
players from 2013-May to 2015.

we all know they have made thousands of btc profit from USA,UK,AUS players. so its not a big deal to reverse them.(no loss for owners)

Hiddenly they were encouraging USA,UK,AUS users to use vpns. its another thing.

Let's say you deposited 1 BTC and gambled and made 100 BTC and withdrew. Would you send the 99 BTC? Most likely not.

Hence they are not going to reverse any deposits or transactions.

This is actually a pretty ludicrous idea and no way it could even be performed without any issues coming up.
8237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining PC failed last night, cannot see any of its GPUs. on: May 21, 2018, 10:17:37 AM
I think that's happen after you update your windows. And some update make crash with your gpu driver. But this condition sometimes happen.
But before we assume that, have you try to put all GPU to other mb or tray gpu without riser. Because i am worry if it turns out your mb is damaged.

No this is definitely not it because he wasn't running Windows 10.

Windows 10 is the one that forces upgrades and also messes with GPU drivers.
If you are under Win7 or Win 8, you won't get this issue.

Something is messed up with his Windows installation.
I think he will need to reformat and install from scratch everything.

If the MOBO was dead then there would be no POST. If the PCIe lanes were fried, then it wouldn't even start up windows.
8238  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you were starting fresh with $10,000, Where would you put your money?q on: May 21, 2018, 10:12:23 AM
You guys are all doing it wrong. This is the best way to invest the $10000

100% BTC

Stay out of the alts. In the long term BTC will be the only one standing.

Maybe keep like 1% ETH, however in my opinion, ETH is overpriced and might decrease in the future.
8239  Economy / Gambling / Re: CHANGE YOUR LIFE on: May 21, 2018, 09:01:26 AM
There is very low chances of win so i can't take risk to invest my money in it, it is better to invest in a good hash i think

The chances of winning something are higher than in the regular lottery, plus it also fair so you can be confident about the transparency of the game.

How is your site going for you? I remember reading this thread at the end of the year and there was no website or a anything but looks like you finally got one up and running.

Here is a few recommended things you perform

1) Change the topic title of this thread so it includes your casino name and website. "Change your life" makes it seem like it's a gambling discussion type of thread

2) Update your main post and include your URL and Facebook and twitter in that link. Also include more informations about your smart contract

3) Hire some designers and maybe start some promotion on your website. Like a give a way to gain exposure.

Good luck

The services that generally require you to watch a video or download some app are usually the worst. They are full of ads and sometimes you can easily get some type of malware on your computer.

I think instead of making people watch videos as a form of faucet you should just use a regular faucet with very small amounts like 100 satoshi or so.

Because I am pretty sure most people here won't want to go to those malware type websites so you can get ad revenue.
