Interesting, they put this information in the children brain and they will actually kill innocent people, perhaps they are the easiest to brainwash.

Just what you think any religions group has being doing for millenias? They brainwash people just like Christians do, only with bit different message.

I must have missed the Sunday the priest was telling me go and kill the first non Christians I'll meet later in my life...

8224  Other / Politics & Society / Re: IRS claims it has LOST two years' worth of emails from former official Lerner on: August 09, 2014, 10:26:16 PM
I think they have found some of the "lost" so this may not be necessary. The case in question is not the one dealing with conservative groups, but rather with a group that supported Israel. IIRC there is a lot more evidence against the IRS in this case, and the case is not against one specific person.

So not "case closed" yet I hope...

I think they've found a way to ensure there isn't a smidgeon of corruption... destroy the evidence entirely and have it done by dept heads.  Why not just drop napalm on DC and be done with it? Roll Eyes

The next phase will be for all those brainwashed so called historians to pull a stalin on future generations and erase any mention of all those scandals from the internet and school libraries... Obama 2.0 will be Mr. Clean forever.

The Obama regime has 'lost or destroyed 'the emails, of 20 witnesses...according to Darryl Issa.  I am going with 'destroyed.'   Absolutely unbelievable. Out in the open, in your face criminal destruction of evidence. Where is Eric Holder???  Too busy protecting the Liar-in-Chief.  And the media still carrying the water for Obama....so pathetic!

Lost emails scandal spreads to top Obamacare official

The Obama administration admitted Thursday that it has lost emails from the key official who oversaw the botched federal Obamacare rollout last year, and the health department may have broken the law by failing to report the lost emails to the National Archives.

Marilyn Tavenner, head of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, thought she had saved the emails as official records but now realizes they “might not be retrievable,” the Health and Human Services Department said in a letter to Congress detailing the problem.

You're stupid as fuck. Obama is being hung out as a scape goat to disguise what is really happening.

Care to elaborate on the intricacies of this matter?  Who's hanging Obama (pardon the racial undertone, r3wt said it)?  Holder?  Kennedys?  Sebelius?
its just politics. nothing is ever what it seems

8229  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Attn: Human Influenced Climate Change deniers on: August 09, 2014, 03:16:06 PM

Let me be clear.  Very clear, and let's settle this.  Science does not say, anywhere, even as a minority opinion, that oceans will rise 6' by 2025.  Nowhere.  Not even alarmist science.  Not 3', either.

Look at the IPCC reports and the range of possible sea rise increases cited and projected there.  Look at the issue summarized in Wikipedia.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Current_sea_level_rise

We are looking at a possible rise by 2025 of 33 millimeters.  About an inch at current rates.

That's why I suggest that we just call lying, lying.
http://www.epa.gov/climatechange/science/future.html#sealevel

Regional and local factors will influence future relative sea level rise for specific coastlines around the world. For example, relative sea level rise depends on land elevation changes that occur as a result of subsidence (sinking) or uplift (rising). Assuming that these historical geological forces continue, a 2-foot rise in global sea level by 2100 would result in the following relative sea level rise:

2.3 feet at New York City
2.9 feet at Hampton Roads, Virginia
    3.5 feet at Galveston, Texas
1 foot at Neah Bay in Washington state

Relative sea level rise also depends on local changes in currents, winds, salinity, and water temperatures, as well as proximity to thinning ice sheets.

But your right that is an alarmist quote estimates have it at 0.4 FT by 2025 For the Baseline the highest ones we see are at 2.1 over the same duration for a case study area in Charleston
http://papers.risingsea.net/downloads/Challenge_for_this_generation_Barth_and_Titus_chapter4.pdf

The high end of 6 feet occurs at 2075

Also checked my sources they were fine, just to be clear this buzz word stuff came from some blog I didn't source from 2009 with no sourcing of course so just some FUD poster.
And according to the recent observed changes in the climatic pattern, Kiribati will submerged completely by 2025.
http://discover-planet.blogspot.ca/2009/12/global-warming-threatens-kiribati.html#comment-form
See 1st bolded.  I think you missed a full stop, this is what you meant?

Most likely is 0.4' by 2025 for the baseline.  The highest alarmist estimate is 2.1' by 2025.

But even your article quoted is riddled through with falsehoods.  It claims sea level rise is 0.12cm per year.  This is coupled with 0.13 cm per year in land sinking to get 0.25cm per year.

For the Charleston case study area, Hicks and others (1978, 1983) have estimated that the total sea level rise since 1922 has been 0.25 cm/yr (0.1 in/yr).*  *Based on a global (eustatic) rise of 0. 12 cm/yr (0.05 in/yr) plus local subsidence of 0. 13 cm/yr (0.05 in/yr).

For there to be 0.4' of sea level rise for Charleston by 2025, the book you quote from would have to have been written in 1966.

2014-1966 = 48 years * 0.1 in/yr = 4.9 inches
0.4 ft * 12 in/ft = 4.8 inches

See 2nd bolded above.  How in the world can you start a reply with actual facts, and end up repeating that lie?

yeah ever since I got involved with bitcoins... my ideology is slowly changing from

being  pro socialism to pro libertarianism...

I now feel happy and liberated when I think about the pleasures of personal wealth..

are you having such changes?

That's great news. Although happy of the change, the true metamorphosis will be something that no economists have defined yet. If the bitcoin experiment is a success then even concept like libertarianism will stop to make sense. It's like 3D printing. Now it is mostly useless plastic stuff. Once we will be printing out a fully functional iphone 15 at home from our Mr Coffee + 3D Ultra then what would it be? A new paradigm.

You are on the right path.  Smiley

The truth of the matter is that for all the challenges we face, all the problems that we have, if you had to be — if you had to choose any moment to be born in human history, not knowing what your position was going to be, who you were going to be, you’d choose this time. The world is less violent than it has ever been. It is healthier than it has ever been. It is more tolerant than it has ever been. It is better fed then it’s ever been. It is more educated than it’s ever been.

Jake Tapper hammers Tony Blinken for ISIS B.S

http://youtu.be/d4yscR5E7f0

Tapper: Tony, a lot of people have been warning about ISIS for months and months with no action — no serious action — by the White House. Was the intelligence not there? Why is it only now that you’re acting?

Blinken: Actually, we’ve been warning about this for a long time, ourselves, well beyond that. When, initially, in 2012, we said to the Iraqis, AQI — which is ISIS’ predecessor — may be on its heels, but the only way to keep them there is to go after them constantly, and we propose to engage with them to help them do that. The politics in Iraq wouldn’t allow that. But it took a while, and finally in 2013 — a year ago — we began to increase the capacity of the Iraqis to deal with AQI and then what became ISIS. And of course, the Syrian conflict added fuel to the fire. So we’ve been focused on this for well over a year, and unfortunately, the ISIS threat overtook the efforts that the Iraqis were making to deal with it. Now, unfortunately, everyone is seized with this, but what we’re seeing increasingly is coordination among the Iraqis and the Kurds, which is unique. We haven’t seen that in a long time. And countries in the region who’ve responded to this threat, which, it’s a threat to them as well, all getting together and looking to take action.

Tapper: Tony, you say you’ve been warning about it, but in January, President Obama told The New Yorker magazine’s David Remnick that ISIS — which was then still considered a part of al-Qaeda fighting in Syria — was like a JV basketball team. He said, quote, “The analogy we use around here sometimes, and I think is accurate, is if a JV team puts on Lakers uniforms, that doesn’t make them Kobe Bryant.” Just how badly did President Obama underestimate the threat of ISIS?

Blinken: No, there are two different things going on here, Jake. One is the question of the threat that ISIS poses to us here in the homeland, and unlike core al-Qaeda, right now, their focus is not on attacking the U.S. homeland or attacking our interests here in the United States or abroad. It’s focused intently on trying to create a Caliphate in Iraq and a base from which, over time, to operate. And that’s what we’re focused on. We’re focused on making sure that we can help empower the Iraqis and others to prevent them from doing just that. The president was exactly right: They did not pose a threat like al-Qaeda central to us in the homeland. We want to make sure that they don’t get to the point where they can pose that threat.

For the us to act like the world police again when a few weeks ago everybody was mad at them for interfering with other nations?

Of course this is what the world wants. Sometimes it is "world police" sometimes it is "world garbage man"... The world loves it.
