8261  Other / Meta / Re: Quality lost in the spam on: October 03, 2018, 08:00:04 AM
Sorry Ferrytale1 I don't think you saw any post won't meriting. I feel you wrote this topic just to get attention. Remember the saying, "it take one to know one". Funny to say but you're not that one became you're not actually a writer of posts which are beneficial to the forum (worth meriting).

Examples:
It all depends on your level of skill and capital.
They all are going ways to earn from cryptocurrency, you can also combine more than one at a time.
I mostly avoid pump and dump groups, I mostly avoid any scheme in which I join high up.
Once you've seen a bandwagon, it's already too late.
Exactly, there are spammers who are at higher ranks, and I think they should get the benefit of the doubt as they are fairly new.
I disagree here, if you're a fast follower and can quickly read charts from small movements, you can join the train, before it becomes a bandwagon..

Clean up yourself and improve on your post quality then you might get merited before you even think about meriting others.

And if you feel the posts you saw are worth meriting post a link Here and they will be looked into and get merited if they deserve any.
8262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 10 years anniversary, what good news are you expecting come 2019?. on: October 02, 2018, 08:12:18 PM
More than anything, I am waiting and hoping for the bitcoin price to finally rise again. This year has been a bittersweet year for bitcoin because although the price is down,
I foresee a bull ran coming soon and this will stabilize the market price between $10k-$15k. Many didn't see this fall in price of Bitcoin coming because they were mostly newbies and followed false speculations from so called experts. For those that have stayed at least 2-5years in Bitcoin they knew after a big move in price, a major correction occurs then followed by another bull ran.
In conclusion, the 10th anniversary of Bitcoin holds sometimes unique only the future can tell. {Maybe ETF approval  Roll Eyes who knows🤗.
8263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reason why bitcoin won't last long (which are you afraid of?) on: October 02, 2018, 05:34:52 PM

Which of the following disadvantages are you afraid of and how do you think it can be resolved

Its was fun reading though your replies. What amused me was the fact that many users are afraid of the government banning cryptocurrency for good. Well to prevent thread from been turned into a spammy thread, I have to lock topic now. You can check out some other topics I stated for more amazing discussion.
8264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH not dead, Austria to Use Eth Public Blockchain to Issue billions in Gov bond on: September 30, 2018, 11:55:13 PM
Just as Bitcoin is the king, Ethereum is the queen (gives birth to altcoins) and it's the first wife, others are just "other wives".

I will give two thumbs up for this statement and I always believe that ETH will stay no matter what happen just like Bitcoin. These two will always play in the circle and will continue act as the strongest competitor of all cryptocurrencies.

If only we had the thumbs up (like) button Roll Eyes. oh yes both will always be used as a point of comparison because they're actually the real deal. Just as every modern day footballer is been compared with messi and cr7 that's how it's going to be in the cryptoworld. BTC and ETH Will always be the best and first that other altcoins will look up to and be compared to.
8265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin 10 years anniversary, what good news are you expecting come 2019?. on: September 30, 2018, 09:08:46 AM
 Happy Birthday to Bitcoin 03/01/2019

As we all know, Bitcoin was created in 2009 by satoshi nakamoto. Ever since, bitcoin has developed itself into a global topic. Along its journey to success just like other currencies/investments, bitcoin has experience its up and down reaching a ATH of almost $20k making it one of the best ROI of all time. So far we can say the journey has been successful but we all know we're not there yet.

As an investor/believer of bitcoin, what are the features you will love to see in bitcoin as we celebrate the 10 years anniversary, what positive news will you love to hear concerning bitcoin come 2019?.
8266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Roger Ver to dump his 250k worth of bitcoins on: September 30, 2018, 08:42:08 AM
Looking at the date of post, and date transaction was made, I will say it was a smart moved because bitcoin was at its ATH November-december. If he truly sold those bitcoins, currently the money gotten can be used to buy 2-3x money bitcoin than what he sold at that point in time.
That's why I always advice investors to take profit when they see hypes on their investment vehicle then wait for the market to calm down before reinvesting.
8267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: LIKE IT OR NOT, BITCOIN IS AN INVESTMENT on: September 29, 2018, 08:15:24 PM
Just as gold was, bitcoin too is both an investment and a currency (but a better version of currency called Cryptocurrency).
An assets is what gives you value (in business terms, bring in money). What ever that can be used as a store of value can be describe as an asset, so bitcoin is an asset which means it's an investment. Also what ever that can be used as money in any form when in actual use or circulation as a medium of exchange is called a currency so bitcoin can both be describe as both an asset (investment) and currency but in digital form Shocked
8268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I never sold my First bitcoin. Are you also emotionally bound to bitcoin? on: September 29, 2018, 08:03:10 PM
It has been 2 years that I bought my First bitcoin. I have never been able to sell or trade it.
Also, is it a good thing to be emotionally attached so much to Bitcoins?

Getting emotionally attached to money or an investment is a wrong move and shouldn't be encourage with the whole "Holding scheme". As investors,  we're to see every investment we participate in as a vehicle, leading us to our final destination (financial freedom).  Every investor should have a plan (strategy) and when you hit (reach) that target follow your plan (if it involves cashing out do that). Don't get emotional attached.
Just an advice: if you notice you're getting emotionally attached to an investment whether it be Crypto, stock or whatever, it is safer to cash out immediately to take some break or just move on to something else you're not emotionally attached to.
8269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH not dead, Austria to Use Eth Public Blockchain to Issue billions in Gov bond on: September 29, 2018, 07:47:29 PM
news from yesterday and there is no response from eth side so possibly it is not real that is what I believe
ETH don't need to respond for it to be real, eth is a decentralized blockchain technology that can be used by either individual or government body anytime anyplace. If
it was not real the Australia government would have responded few hours or days after the publication was made but they didn't, that can only mean the information is accurate.
8270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ETH not dead, Austria to Use Eth Public Blockchain to Issue billions in Gov bond on: September 28, 2018, 01:11:33 PM
Read a news online via cointelegrah stating; "Austria’s government is set to use the Ethereum (ETH) public blockchain to issue €1.15 billion ($1.35 billion) of government bonds in an auction next week". This topic caption is as a respond to the numerous topic caption I saw on this board saying ethereum blockchain is dead and will be replaced by EOS and the rest Roll Eyes. And also I hope on restoring some hope to the long term hodlers.

Examples of those posts, just to quote a few.
biggest regret is having entered crypto mining. I will never ROI since the market is dead and ETH is dead aswell
The end of the line for ETH and DAO, another scamcoins dying.
they are not dead yet but they will both die one day because it is a flawed project from the base up.
I believe that ETH will die slowly and later because it is manipulated by the devs and the foundation and they have limitless money to throw at it.

Just to make it clear to you all, the ethereum blockchain is here to stay and will dominate the DAPP for a very long time. (if not forever). Just as Bitcoin is the king, Ethereum is the queen (gives birth to altcoins) and it's the first wife, others are just "other wives". The government believes in its technology that's why, Oesterreichische Kontrollbank (OeKB) — one of Austria’s biggest banks with $26 billion in assets in 2017 — will reportedly operate the live blockchain notarization service. During the auction, scheduled for October 2, the bank will issue the bonds on behalf of the Austrian Treasury (OeBFA) and it will be done using the ethereum blockchain technology.

Don't regret investing in ETH, the hype of those Dapp will die off surely, just as it happened to Neo others will follow. Lets not give up hope on eth, the team are developing the technology day in day out that's why we have different ERC tokens. with time ethereum blockchain will become perfect don't give up on it.

8271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: USDC vs USDT: new stablecoins addition to the market, what do you think? on: September 28, 2018, 04:37:47 AM
since it listed on decentralized exchanges that based on ethereum platform, so it will become a token right?
Technically. Yes. When a blockchain project uses another blockchain to host it's project the native cryptocurrency is usually called a token. But as we know, many project uses the ethereum platform to kick start their project and in future swap to mainnet example EOS. So I have the feeling that might be their plan and if I am wrong then I guess this will be the very first stabletoken I know of. Shocked
8272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Testnet under Attack on: September 27, 2018, 04:10:47 PM
Don't have much idea on this, but i feel if it's a testnet coin, it shouldn't cause much of a panicking since it won't be much of a threat to the mainnet. Testnet coins can only be used on the testnet for testing and can't be tradable for altcoins or usd.  Like I said don't have much idea but I stand to be corrected if my assumption are incorrect.
8273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: USDC vs USDT: new stablecoins addition to the market, what do you think? on: September 27, 2018, 04:02:48 PM
There are currently over 57 "stable"coin projects in existence. Some are already live and others are still in development.
The vast majority of them will still have to build a marketplace or request integration into an existing marketplace if they are to ever really tap into being adopted as a 'currency'.

There is only 1 that has a trustless marketplace ready and an easy button web/mobile marketplace ready in a couple more months = BitBay

Well we all have our opinions, I don't know about bitbay but will do my research on it. I have been following USDC from development stages still date, that's why I have more faith in them than USDT. Never knew of USDT until I saw it on exchanges.
The rate at which new stablecoins are created needs to be put to check, I mean if we just had 5-10 stablecoins build with real world use applications, it would be beneficial to the cryptosystem.
8274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: MetaMask now supports Ledger and Trezor Hardware Wallets on: September 27, 2018, 03:28:52 PM
I think you were wrong with the section on the forum.

What section should I have posted on?

I think because Metamask support Ethereum and altcoins maybe are a better section here Marketplace (Altcoins) > Service Discussion (Altcoins) : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=198.0
In any case, I rarely go to that part of the Forum because of a lot of spam there, I'm glad you post here so I saw this information.

Smiley well I think it have serve it's purpose. I'm glad too I posted here. The spam level in this forum discourages some of us to visit some board too.

8276  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can buy some altcoin?? on: September 26, 2018, 05:41:40 PM
Hi I am new user in bitcointalk.org and I want to buy some altcoin. I have no experience about trading. Please share your experience.
Just read through the whole replies, I guess you must be satisfied by the responds you have gotten from forum users and also since post was done in 2017 you are no longer a newbie (although your rank says so) and must have known how to trade/buy altcoin. Kindly lock topic to prevent spammers from using this thread to earn post count for their bounty participation.
8277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / USDC vs USDT: new stablecoins addition to the market, what do you think? on: September 26, 2018, 03:22:29 PM
The highly expected stablecoin USDC was just added to an exchange (announcement made on their official Twitter account).

Trading pair(s) for USDC/ETH added to Kucoin and many more exchange coming soon such as, centralized; DigiFinex, CoinEx, Poloniex, KuCoin, OKCoin, Coinplug, XDAEX etc. and Decentralized; IDEX, Paradex, Radar Relay, Tokenlon etc.
Also with the likes of @MoneyToken ( A platform for Smart Loans, backed by Crypto-Assets launch at Q1 2018), showing support for the stablecoin USDC, tweeting earlier "Get ready to take out loans in USDC against your crypto assets in the next platform's update".

What do you think about the addition of this new stablecoin to the Cryptomarket  and do you think USDC has the potential to overtake USDT any sooner as no1 stablecoin in the cryptosphere?.
8278  Other / Meta / Re: Advice to bounty hunters on: September 26, 2018, 10:19:17 AM
My core reason of joining this great forum is to increase my general knowledge of cryptocurrency and if my post are of interest it fair I get merited. And all my post here WI be productive trust me on this

I would merit you but you joined in late Aug. but no posts prior to the new rules! Are you a bounty spammer that is kinda smart enough to delete your spam? I don't know anyone that would join to only read for a month!

Funny how people act holy when they're truly the opposite. Where will you get the Smerit to merit the poster? You only have one merit that means you only have 0.5 sMerit not upto a spendable Smerit so is either you have double accounts (which against the forum rules) or just writing to increase your post count (also against the forum rule).
You can't give what you don't have.
8279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / MetaMask now supports Ledger and Trezor Hardware Wallets on: September 26, 2018, 09:06:54 AM
MetaMask is a bridge that allows you to visit the distributed web of tomorrow in your browser today. It allows you to run Ethereum dApps right in your browser without running a full Ethereum node.
Metamask now supports both Ledger and Trezor. This allows any dapp that works with MetaMask to be used safely and securely with a hardware wallet. Trezor blog post Stated; "By adding hardware wallet support, we are allowing every single ĐApp that works with MetaMask to be used securely with a Hardware Wallet. We hope that this kind of feature will increase the confidence and security in the entire Ethereum ĐApp ecosystem".

With all this said, what do you think about this feature and will you feel comfortable using it?.

8280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bakkt will physically delivered Bitcoin futures contracts, better than ETF on: September 26, 2018, 08:42:38 AM
it's quite an interesting approach and may be just fine as an ETF-like tool.
I didn't give much importance to Backkt, but they seem to be advancing for real and in the right direction.

I have been following them for some while now, they're really showing some positive signs toward achieving their goal. Just as they tweeted "Bakkt uses the existing, time-tested, regulated futures market infrastructure to introduce physically delivered Bitcoin and warehousing to global markets. All aspects of the existing futures market will, for the first time, be part of physical delivery and warehousing of Bitcoin". I see a future in them.
