8261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you think about QTUM? on: December 17, 2017, 03:32:54 PM
The team looks very good to me. They want to build PoS smart contract. Yet the main idea is to make a bridge between bitcoin and ethereum. Yet if they make contracts operate on btc then who'll need the qtum itself? We also don't know if that is really possible and they can succeed with the idea.
I believe for now it's risky to invest in qtum, especially given the fact that its price has recently faced a big pump comparing to what qtum cost throughout its existence.
8262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Huge Altcoin rally underway on: December 17, 2017, 03:21:29 PM
Cannot help notice how the total crypto market cap is up over $100 billion in just last two or three days.
Most coins are up big. Do not know what is the reason of this big rise now but it  feels good Smiley
The reason is more people are coming into the crypto, more money fly to the crypto too. As you can see how the majority of the coin get huge increase. And especially about the bitcoin, ethereum, and bitcoin cash futures contract give a lot of the advertise to the unfamiliar person.
I think it doesn't make sense that people invest in these coins. Bitcoin's transactions are probably the slowest among all the currencies we have out there. The fee is just crazy as well. Ethereum has huge security problems people keep ignoring. Parity eth is still frozen, lot's of people lost their money on that and there's still no decision by Vitalik on that matter. Bitcoin cash - well, sorta solves problems but not really. I think the money keeps going into wrong cryptos, even though there already exist better ones like the good old litecoin, waves and iota.
8263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How does cryptocurrency success? on: December 17, 2017, 02:49:48 PM
Good project with professional team with practical product that provides some utility and use case can be successful, most ideas will not provide much use cases for people so they can just go down in coming months.
I disagree. This seems rationally true, yes, but I guess this was the case a long time ago, when the new things were appearing and becoming popular because of being useful. Basically, this is ethereum success story. Today we have too many things and it's hard to say how much needed they are. The team can be great but the project can still fail due to the lack of captured interest. I think what matters most nowadays is advertising and active development covered by the news.
8264  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is your best game for playing on casinos??? on: December 17, 2017, 11:08:15 AM
I have seen lot's of people responding to such threads and I believe that dice is the most popular game among people. It's very easy and you can control the risk a lot. I used to play dice a bit as well. Poker is perhaps #2 for gamblers, for this game attracts us, because something depends on how we actually play, it's not based on pure randomness. As for me, I like playing.. I don't know how to call them.. the games that simulate a chart with a price of a product. Like on a stock market. Bustabit is the most famous website with such games. I like them, because I like investing in altcoin and this is the kind of gambling that is very close to trading, but a lot faster and more random.
8265  Economy / Speculation / Re: Only 2 days untill CME launch Bitcoin future! on: December 16, 2017, 11:27:09 AM
Accumulate Bitcoin as much as you can.
And thank me later... Wink

why you say that simply price is so high and may be all network blocking  *Crasing*after CME launch.

Buy bitcoin without plan is so risky this days
No it's not, actually. There have been lots of times when people thought that the price of bitcoin is too much and it's already too late to buy. Every time it turned out that the time was still great. CME launch is believed to be a dangerous move, because the price will probably go up too fast. I agree with that, but people will still buy btc anyway, so I suppose the op is right, it's a good way to get some fast profit.
Even if people who use CME will not be very interested in btc, the overall excitement will do the job.
8266  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎰 Truegame - First Smart Contract Platform For Lotto & Games of Chance 🎰 on: December 16, 2017, 11:16:40 AM
wow,, new site and seems fresh.. let's see how this turn out. I ll chek it out later, just visited to check, haven't try yet tought. maybe later i ll try this one.
Thank you for your opinion!
Now registration is possible with an invitation code only. We will provide the code to the bitcointalk members who have sent the request on our site. We will also give a $10 bonus. In the near future we will post a detailed anouncement and rules of that giveaway.
What's the reason for the limited registration? I thought the aim was to attract people to the project and thus the more register the better, no?
The beta mode is only for gamling in usd, right? I hope you'll add some coins there later.
It's good that you offer a 10 dollar bonus for people to try the game and share their experience. The idea to make a smart contract lottery is also very cool, because scamming is a big problem in the world of gambling.
The site looks very good, I think you have good chances of becoming popular if you invest enough in advertising (launch a sig campaign, for example). Good luck!
8267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the house always win???? on: December 16, 2017, 11:02:47 AM
There is none! If you gamble be prepared to lose since it is inevitable that you will experience losses on gambling.
..
I guess you are right for most of cases, but there definitely are those famous people who mostly win in gambling. Especially if we talk about poker, there are Antonio Esfandiari and Daniel Colman, for instance. Such people prove that actually it's possible to keep calm and earn money this way.
There is no any strategy that will increase your chance of winning in gambling, it is purely based on luck. If you are not lucky enough than you can't win anything also you have to play in probably fair casino so that casino can't cheat you.

Playing on casino with very low house edge can also increase your chance of winning.
I don't think it's about luck. Luck is too random. Everyone has some ups and downs. I think the only chance to win is if you play a skill-based game and are not addictive to gambling in general.
I have been gambling on meckabit, which is a website with stock market simulation. So far I have 4x profit. Yet I haven't played a lot, so maybe I'll lose eventually, but I do my best not to play a lot and be very attentive about the moves and stakes I make.
8268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BolsoCoin - Brazilian alt-right neo-nazi coin on: December 16, 2017, 10:49:03 AM
I don't invest in the project whose ideology I don't support, and alt-right doesn't sound too good to me. Yet the coin also lacks sufficient information to look at its potential! Where's the official website? Where's the team, roadmap and whitepaper?
I found the ANN thread on bitcointalk (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2040873.0) and all the main information on pre-ico is crossed out there. There is no other information about the project as well. Is it, perhaps, a kind of a joke?
8269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How should you measure profits? on: December 16, 2017, 10:34:51 AM
Should we measure our investment returns in fiat or in BTC? Does it only depend on when you want to cash out in fiat?
I've been measuring my investment returns in fiat, and it was almost always going up. But when it comes to BTC it actually went down. Should we cash out our alts into bitcoin and accumulate more?

If you're interested in the topic and have similar dilemma, then I recommend you watching this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkKYuoRg6jM
I prefer measuring profit in fiat, because this way it surely goes up more, than if I consider bitcoin. I don't use bitcoin in real life, so I guess fiat profit is more reasonable. Yet surely I try to keep in mind that sometimes I take some btc and buy an altcoin which then gives me 2x profit if counted in usd, but if I just kept that money in bitcoin, it would have given me 3x profit in usd. It is really unbelievable that one can make thorough research and invest successfully in an altcoin and smb else can buy btc and do nothing and in the end turn out to have higher profit than you did.
8270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Future of Ripple on: December 15, 2017, 09:26:22 AM
Let's say it might hit 2 USD very soon... and yes, It is most definitely a good coin to hold long term. It's transactions are quite faster compared to other altcoins even bitcoin. I am hoping that coins.ph will soon introduce Ripple to our folks here.
I bought ripple for $0.025 and sold with 2x profit. I guess that was a pretty stupid decision, as the next day I saw it already going another 70% up. I don't know, I suppose ripple has good chances of going up eventually, but I really don't like it being sort of a traitor of the realm of cryptocurrency ideology of decentralization. That's why I consider it only short-term. Perhaps it's wrong to take cryptos personally, but I do and I invest only in those which I like and believe in.
8271  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betcoin glich on: December 15, 2017, 09:15:47 AM
So this just happened about few hours ago. I played some on betcoin and got down to my last 0.44 mBTC.

I open a tourney and see that it says 1$ equals 0 mBTC to register! I obviously confused, registered, look at my balance again and it is the same! WTF right?!?!

So I guess some glitch happened where I was able to register for tourneys for free, due to the exchange ratio of 0.

Well, did you get the lost money at the end? Or is it just about the way your balance is shown to be the same no matter what, but no money can be deposited and withdrawn from betcoin.ag (that's the site, right)? I guess you should contact their support team and tell them about this problem. I do hope they give you some reward for that, but who knows, they don't really have the best reputation on such matters, you know.
If you can benefit from this glitch then maybe you should do that a bit, so that you make sure you're rewarded for what you've found anyway.  Wink
8272  Economy / Gambling / Re: JETWIN - BITCOIN CASINO & BITCOIN SPORTSBOOK on: December 15, 2017, 09:02:07 AM
I wanted to ask something about jetwin: it is said in some advertising that one can play with btc or with one's own currency. And yet I didn't see the option to play in a currency other than bitcoin on the jetwin website. So what's the procedure of depositing an altcoin there? Should users first ask which currencies they want to be listed? Or do you already have a listed of currencies that can potentially be used for gambling on jetwin?
Thanks!
8273  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitCoin gambling on: December 15, 2017, 08:50:36 AM
Hello to all. I am there to speak to you about my site Bitcase.eu

It is the site which I developed with the aim of creating a lottery Bitcoin.

The principle is simple. Click a compartment to buy it. If your BitCase wins ==> 500 $

Furthermore without even bought by compartment if you find one person who buys a compartment and whom that this gains(wins) you gained(won) 250  $

Then it is quite simple bitcase.eu
The website is pretty easy to use, the design is rather smooth. Yet I think that it would be better to diversify the amounts of money people can put and win. $10 is a big sum. Why not to make some up and down limits within which it's up to a person to decide what sum of money should be put there?
Perhaps you should also make an ANN thread in the respective section of this forum as well as make some advertising like launching a signature campaign. Otherwise, unfortunately, no matter how nice your site might be, people won't use it.
Oh, one more thing: the confirmation that the money can actually be withdrawn from the website would be a big plus.
8274  Economy / Economics / Re: How could futures impact bitcoin? on: December 15, 2017, 08:37:09 AM
I don't fully understand the Futures market.
How could futures impact bitcoin and its price?
Here's the deal with these futures. You don't actually hold any bitcoin on your own, but you do own some sort of financial instrument given by the CBOE, and it states that they hold bitcoin on the investor's behalf not precisely but somewhat like that. This derivatives is only to be paid in cash and it'll affect the price is institutional buyers would love to influence the price on their own, and this could be a big deal later on.
What is also important about futures is that the prices are decided in advance. While you sign a contract you agree that on a certain date you will be ready to sell or buy bitcoin at a certain price. That's why some believe bitcoin is in danger of its price being manipulated by the whales, as the price is agreed upon regardless to what will actually happen in the future and what demand will be for bitcoin at that time.
Futures impact in bitcoin? If you buy today and just hold it for a year i think your future will become a better future, i know bitcoin will be increase more than a year so its better to hold now.

No, you misunderstood the question, I believe. It is about the futures contracts on CME. Yet surely your advice is probably great, for it's a pretty safe and easy way to earn some money.
8275  Economy / Economics / Re: High prices mean even higher volatility on: December 15, 2017, 08:27:36 AM
So, I was looking at the yearly bitcoin volatility chart. I would suggest you to go through it once. Volatility is varying highly with external demand than increasing price. The maximum volatility of the year was during April-May when there was an excess demand from Japan. After that volatility remained quite medium as there was demand but not excess, but price was increasing meanwhile. And now when there is again an overall hike in demand globally, volatility is high.
Good point. I think that maybe volatility can't be considered to have a strong connection with the price. It's just like altcoins and bitcoin. Some say that when btc is up alts are down, others say the opposite. If we look at the charts then it's sometimes the first way and other times - the second.
The only sort of obvious thing is that when the capitalization grows, the harder it becomes to manipulate the price. So, the flaws become more .. natural, they reflect the general will of people and their attitude to btc.
8276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin to the moon? on: December 12, 2017, 12:49:27 PM
Litecoin is doing phenomenally with the price increase.  Prices may continue to increase. However, this tweet by Charlie Lee is kind of discouraging for those who plan to invest in Litecoin right now.   https://twitter.com/SatoshiLite/status/940353265585160192
Well, he's just being an honest guy, because obviously the price is too big for now. I was lucky to buy ltc for $20, I'll hold it anyway, for I believe ltc can do even more than we see now in a couple of years. Yet I surely believe that the price can suffer a huge correction and perhaps it's better to buy some ltc at that time.
And yet this post is just about his predictions and one can't really predict the course of the currency even if he's developing it.
I think we should be patient with this currency and not expect it to go more that $300 within the next few months.
8277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Electroneum Relaunch on: December 12, 2017, 12:35:05 PM
Electroneum Relaunch
13th December 2017 12:00pm (midday) UTC

This is taken from they`re official site. Finally HackerOne finnished testing and they didnt found any major bug. Our accounts are safe and we should get our tokens. This is great news and the community is excited to move forward with the project. I find it fascinating that, even with the failed launch, crypto world is still supporting this project. This is because the ideea behind the project has so much potential.
So get prepared for  buying ETN at a discount price because it will sure drop from the dump that will follow the launch. I plan to buy some more coins becuase i belive that in the near future the price will go to 0.5 $.
Thanks for the news if they are right (I can see some members above saying the opposite). The project has lot's of potential and I was very disappointed when I saw the price gradually dropping from the very release. IOTA also had problems for some time but now, as they're fixed, its price went almost 10x within the last 2-3 months. I hope we'll see electroneum going up soon. It has recovered a bit already but $0.1 is definitely not enough.
8278  Economy / Economics / Re: Threat to Crypto Currencies on: December 11, 2017, 03:00:54 PM
I think we can all agree that cryptos are here to stay and only the form and applications are yet to be determined.

Has any one considered the threat to independent cryptos that a gov't or central bank issued crypto represents?
..
While we might get the benefits of electronic payments that come with a digital currency, we would completely lose the protection from the manipulated value (or devaluation) of the dollar.
..
I don't think the threat is really there as much as you put it. Those regulated currencies have some benefits and are likely to become used a lot. But what does it have to do with other currencies? They will still remain independent, as I see it. Maybe they won't become means of payment for goods in everyday life, but surely they can be used for trading, gambling, as means of payment for someone's work and in online shopping where the prices can be adjusted fast enough.
I guess the real threat to cryptocurrencies is possessed by us, users, who are willing to pay a lot for something we can't even touch. Maybe some day the price will be too much and so they'll crush, because the demand was not as strong as it seemed to be.
8279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin loses all its value what will happen to altcoins ? on: December 11, 2017, 02:46:44 PM
In my opinion, if Bitcoin is completely banned by the global government and the sale of Bitcoin is declared a serious crime, do you think Altcoin still has a way to go? Will certainly be banned, do not think good deed, man! However, this kind of thing in a decade, almost never happen. Haha
In such a case you are surely right, but the point of OP was different. It was about bitcoin being dumped by investors, not banned by the governments.
And if btc falls down I think that some other strong altcoins like ethereum (if it becomes upgraded) IOTA (because it's a completely different from btc) and litecoin (in case people miss what they had with bitcoin) can still survive and slowly recover the market in general.
I have a feeling that pegged cryptocurrencies can keep their and maybe people will start buying into them instead of exiting the field
crypto is not just a bubble there is real value behind all this money flowing in so lots of people will stick around even without bitcoin
especially after we see some real problems solved from any of the altcoins
Perhaps you are right that currencies like tether and ripple will survive under such conditions but that is still death of the whole decentralization and free market ideology of cryptocurrencies. Perhaps they are not so much cryptocurrencies if we put it like this.
As for altcoins solving problems - well, IOTA solves block size, transaction fee and transaction speed problems and offers another way of cryptocurrency operating and existing.

Hi Kryptqnick,

Thanks for posting. We will look into stream lining our faucet claim process, in relation to your receipt of your free bits. Upon successfully entering the code you where emailed, try refreshing the page.

Meckabit
Refreshing the page did help but, just like veleten, I can see only 10bits on the balance, whereas you said it was 100. Edit: I can now see that you are saying it is supposed to be 10 bits, not 100.
Why can't people join the current round and always has to wait for the next one? Do such games always have this condition? Sometimes I look at the chart and would like to join, for it still rises, but instead I have to wait for another random one.
Oh, and I wanted also to ask what's the min withdrawal sum on your website.
The game is very interesting so far!
