Nice, I haven't seen a number one in a long time though, seems like a year or two. I do buy and sell comic books now and then and I have noticed some magazines starting to become collectible the last ten years. Mostly stuff from the 60's or 70's that might have someone like William Shatner on it or another big TV star. Even TV guides are going for around $20 now with someone notable on the cover. Use to get them for .50 to $1.00 all day long. These btc magazines have become very collectible early in life, good sign I’m curious to know which has more collectible value, the mint uncirculated/reprint issue (as sold at the link above) or a mint first print issue that was actually shipped in the mail to a real address. (As long as both are still in the original, sealed plastic sleeve.)Since neither is specially marked as first print or reprint, the only difference would be an actual shipping address stickered onto the sleeve. (Or was it stickered onto the issue under the sleeve? I forget.) Regards, Chris first issue ( original) always sells for more. CGC graded or the like also command much higher prices as they eliminate all the unknowns such as re-print, missing pages/marks and of course certified grade. good examples are 1 issue of Fantastic Four, Spider man and Superman ( Action comics) all in re prints as so few originals survived. Having an address label can be a plus it would depend on the collector. I prefer a label myself, Confederate stamp collectors prefer used confederate stamps as it gives them more appeal being used during the war. I just looked up CGC and it seems as if they only grade sports illustrated and playboy magazines exclusively unfortunately. http://www.cgcmagazines.com/submitting/magazines-we-grade.aspxI was hoping to get mine graded... are there any other reputable places? Let me know if you do find a good place..would love to have my #1 graded as well

The problem with Registered USPS (at least for me) is that I have to go to the Post Office, I can't just drop it up front in my office and have it show up someplace else like Priority Mail. That means I'm either killing 30+ minutes during the work day or longer on a Saturday to do it and the actual service costs more and is slower. Somewhat easy to justify on a $1k deal (yeah I know I didn't for the last things I shipped to you) but for a $500 or a $100? tough to say. Everyone has their own level of risk. And as krogothmanhattan said above they have lost registered mail too. Yes even with registered I am very wary and with BTC being at where it is I am very concerned. For higher value items I will pick in person. Too much at stake to leave for idiots to handle.

Update:
(1) Production complete. (2) Coins safely with OGN (3) A handful of vanities are still being mined for. (4) Engraving to begin next week
Once OGN gets an engraving tempo established, I'll be able to forecast a shipment date. Also, as far as my primary account I have submitted my signed credentials to a global mod and awaiting for him to unlock my account. If it has not been reconciled by next week, I will start a new thread using this profile. Please feel free to PM me with any questions or concerns.
Peace, NLC
Great to hear...looking forward in seeing this coin completed and shipped!
