8321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why you should stay off from market prediction on: July 17, 2018, 03:51:06 PM
Prediction is the core of bitcoin market. Without prediction, entire market is bound to fail. We invest in bitcoins because we believe that the value of bitcoin will be high in future. That's one kind of prediction.

Also majority of the crypto trades are based on short term predictions. If people stop predicting/speculating bitcoin's price, the market movement will be halted and the growth will be stopped. Bitcoin is largely a speculative asset. Without prediction, nothing will be achieved.

I stand with you.
In fact whenever I introduced Crypto to newbie after all the basic I end with the price prediction so as an investor and  a trader, I can boldly say, the market can't improve without predictions

I think to 2020 it will become No1 and the most popular currency in Europe and Asia  Wink
It will take longer than that. I don't think Bitcoin is ready for the whole word, I mean look at it, it's not even ready for the crypto- cummunity. I predict 2050 that's if Bitcoin is even gonna take over the currency market. I believed strongly cryptocurrency can but bitcoin, I don't.
8325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to get Cryptocurrency Job?? on: June 03, 2018, 11:05:49 PM
There was a news about getting job in cryptocurrency . If you can not make enough money in different cryptocurrency and you think it can not fit your daily income.
Maybe you end up getting an actual job especially for those who have a family that depends on them.
I read about this news about Cryptoconomy offers a job opportunities with no qualifications necessary.
Try to look at this news  Smiley if you want.

https://news.bitcoin.com/how-to-get-a-cryptocurrency-job/?utm_source=Bitcoin.com+Subscribers&utm_campaign=7e9d8e50e8-Daily+Newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_ea978414cb-7e9d8e50e8-216294061&goal=0_ea978414cb-7e9d8e50e8-216294061&mc_cid=7e9d8e50e8&mc_eid=96ac46ed19

But there is a question in my mind. What if you dont have enough skills and knowledge about cryptocurrency. And i am one of them..

With little or no skill you can get a job via project mostly in their ICO phase as an online sale person/advertiser.
By participating in bounty or signature campaign (e.g like the one I'm currently promoting) you can earn some cool cash to raise capital.

@zentdex Thank you for the analysis, I enjoyed reading through your post although I was finding it difficult to understand the Graph but I enjoyed every minutes I spend reading. Keep it up. Thanks for your contribution to the community

Maybe because merit givers cannot find any posts that are worthy of their merits..  Grin Grin Is it true?  Grin Grin Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
I agree to disagree with you  Grin Nope, it's not just because they can't find any posts worthy of their merits but also because, most times those useful post are on threads they're not interested in. Therefore they won't be merited for their contribution to the community.
Examples: while surfing through threads for useful information, i saw a warning about a new type of scam. I took precautions and it helped. (It was when the Giveaway scams on popular Twitter accounts were still new.) But to my surprise no merit was given to the posted and the post was 23days old with 60+ comments.
8328  Other / Meta / Re: Eigenvectors in merit network space on: May 21, 2018, 09:35:50 PM
It seems we went far mathematical discussion, but the point is to have various type of merit senders as sources, making the best use of their different preferences and interests, for which merit network visualization is useful.

Well said,  I thought as much too. No doubts, we need more merit sources. Right now the senders are highly concentrated. (Mostly give merit's to particular thread while neglecting other useful contributions from forum members in other threads).

8330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain can help banks on: May 16, 2018, 11:07:45 AM
Another indication that banks can use blockchain as an ally, instead of seeing as a competition.

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-hsbc-blockchain/hsbc-says-performs-first-trade-finance-transaction-using-blockchain-idUSKCN1IF01X

blockchain will revolutionize the banking and finance industry, it's just a matter of time. Very soon these big banks will realize the importance of decentralisation and security been made almost perfect with the Blockchain technology and jump right on the train
8331  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: Why Tickets so Expensive for Conferences on: May 16, 2018, 10:46:34 AM
Just a question how come tickets for conferences are so "sell your kidney" prices.
I know there are tonnes of speakers that you have to pay for etc.
but conferences are meant for learning of crypto, how would that be attractive to the average person etc?
To be frank dear,  those prices are so cheap if you actually know what the worth of those conferences are.  Partnership, endorsement and sponsorship can all be gotten or achieved by just attending such conference. Project A can meet with Exchanger B and they strike a deal immediately because it's face to face which makes it more easier to  trust  one another.
8332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tax Collector to Accept Bitcoin on: May 16, 2018, 10:27:05 AM
Florida Tax Collector to Accept Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash Payments

A Florida county tax collector has partnered with bitcoin payments processor BitPay to accept cryptocurrency for a variety of services.

Seminole County Tax Collector Joel Greenberg said in a statement Monday that his office will take bitcoin and bitcoin cash for payments associated with driver licenses and ID cards, automobile tags and titles and property tax.

The office decided to accept the cryptocurrencies in an effort to streamline fee collection, reduce the potential for fraud and identity theft and increase the transparency and accuracy of payments. Greenberg's office added that it does not perceive any "price volatility or risk to the County" in accepting the cryptocurrencies.

This is a welcome development. The more adoption the bigger the publicity of bitcoin. This is just a step towards greater adoptions, when other firms jump into the idea then competitions comes in. I'm sure others won't wanna miss the train.
8333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung has now entered the cryptocurrency world on: May 16, 2018, 10:24:16 AM

As we know Samsung is one of the biggest and famous phones, smartphones, tablets producers in the whole world and now they are planning to make there own mining software. Is this a good news for us bitcoin users? I mean what are they aiming for?

For more info just read visit the link: https://www.sammobile.com/news/samsung-is-reportedly-making-mining-hardware-for-cryptocurrencies/

Oh yeah definitely it's a good news. More adoption and more publicity. The more software producers get involved the lesser the cost of mining softwares due to competitions. It's a welcome development and I hope other companies can jump in before they miss the train
8334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook and blockchain on: May 16, 2018, 10:20:47 AM
Here is a link to possible outcome of what facebook could mean by their statement: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3863612.new#new

No matter what facebook is planning I know definitely it is gonna be for the benefit of the Blockchain technology.  take a look at facebook history, any company they get involved with becomes a success, talk more of new idea or developments. So I'm in support of their move.

Greetings! I am planning to invest $5,000 in cryptocurrency but I do not know how to invest. And where should I invest? - in Bitcoin, in alternate cryptocurrency, or in ICO? I’m asking for an investment strategy for professional traders or investors out there.
With $5000 my advice will be to secure $1000 in BItcoin  $2000 in ICO. (diversification is need atleast invest in minimum 5 ICO  $200 for each of them.) the remaining $2000 in altcoins. $1000 mostly coins that just got listed on CMC  with potential and $1000 top10 for long term purpose. Don't forget DYOR don't follow market predictions
8337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will cryptos be so volatile forever? on: May 12, 2018, 10:00:07 PM
When will we reach the state of more of less stable cryptocurrencies or it is in their nature and will never end?

What makes most things stable in terms of price is because they can be controlled and they are under the government. But Bitcoin is different , it's unique purpose is to be decentralized.  The volatility of BItcoin won't reduced soon because more emotions is coming into the market very soon, when it gets generally accepted by the general republic. It can never be stable but the level of volatility will reduce due to education and experience
8338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why gas price? on: May 12, 2018, 09:38:50 PM
just curious why is there gas when banks send funds for free.

Gas are used for Ethereum, Neo and it's based tokens (coins created through its Blockchain). The gas is just like a transaction fee that you use to pay the miners for your transaction to be confirm. Without these gas your transaction won't be considered valid.
8339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best wallet for bitcoin? on: May 12, 2018, 09:35:52 PM
I am looking for the best bitcoin wallet.

What do you recommend guys?

I believe you have to consider your location before you choose a particular wallet providers to use but if you want to have control over your private key then location is not a barrier.
I quick Google Search can also solve this issue with else.
I use Blockchain and Bitpay
8340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Reason why bitcoin won't last long (which are you afraid of?) on: May 10, 2018, 06:23:45 AM
After surfing through the good side of BItcoin I was asked to give reasons why bitcoin won't last by a friend I searched through the web and found the following

1: Exposure to Bitcoin-Specific Scams and Fraud.
2: Black Market Activity May Damage Reputation and Usefulness.
3: Susceptible to High Price Volatility.
4: No Chargebacks or Refunds.
5: Potential to Be Replaced by Superior Cryptocurrency.
6:Environmental Ills of Bitcoin Mining.
7: Bitcoins Are Not Widely Accepted.
8: Wallets Can Be Lost.
9: Risk of Unknown Technical Flaws
10: No Physical Form

Guess what non of those mentioned above was big enough to discourage my friend from joining Cryptocurrency (buying bitcoin).

Which of the following disadvantages are you afraid of and how do you think it can be resolved
