8321  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: July 24, 2016, 10:18:06 AM
I believe that investing money in gold is much more safer than investing in bitcoin because bitcoin price has more extreme movements than any other market.
So if you do not like high risk, do not invest in BTC

Your comment has made me think twice. Gold is much more solid than bitcoins since gold has a physical attribute. Even if the price is low the gold is there and there is a guarantee that you will not cease to exist
So I am proposing that we should buy physical gold and not virtual gold in the trade market.
Both are good as an investment and both them have their own benefits so I think we should not choose any single product but should go with both of them.
Yeah but the problem there is difference price movement speed.. i will choose bitcoin is the best choice if you really want to earn in few days or months.. unlike gold you need to hold it for a years before you can make a profit with it.

It also depends on what kind of profits you are expecting, but you definitely don't need to hold it for years in order to make profit. Gold is also experiencing quite some volatility from time to time.

This is according to some charts:

Gold 30 days - UP 4.35%
Gold 6 months - UP 20.59%

That's not bad at all if you ask me.

Silver isn't the main subject of this thread, but here the silver movements just to compare:

Silver 30 days - UP 13.59%
Silver 6 months - UP 39.98%
8322  Economy / Speculation / Re: When Bitcoin will pass 1000 usd again ? on: July 24, 2016, 09:57:12 AM
Until now, all I predicted in this subforum in 2016 came true. I predicted a pre-halving pump in the 700s. It got as high as 780. And I predicted also that after the halving things would slow down. The only thing I missed was that I predicted more volatility in July - I thought it would go faster to the bottom, which I expect to be at 400-450$.

Now, to go back to the topic: I expect we will see $1000 in the timeframe between mid-2017 and mid-2018. Why?

First, the little halving bubble must deflate now. It will go at least as low as 550-580, if not dip into the 400s. But if Bitcoin stays above $400, then the general expectations are bullish. Then we have managed to hold a significantly higher price level than in 2015, and this will build up confindence in the current price levels. But such a process is slow and we have no halving and no other "significant" event in the next years. But in mid-2017, if we still are above 400, confidence in this price level will be so high that we'll see more buyers again and probably a buildup to 1000. In bull markets, the halving really could become significant, because when there are few sellers the miners' supply will be crucial.
Isn't it possible that we might see $1000 by the end of this year? Bitcoin is getting more popular these days.

It certainly has a very small possibility of happening, but I wouldn't trust too much on it. I think a nice price target for this year is to reach another over 2 year high by hitting $800 again.
8323  Economy / Economics / Re: How can you earn 5% interest daily on your bitcoins? on: July 23, 2016, 09:36:05 PM
The desire to get such interest rates makes people lose money as they are pouring money into obvious scams. Just let the idea of earning that much interest per day go. It won't bring you any good.
8324  Economy / Speculation / Re: $2k in january on: July 23, 2016, 09:26:53 PM
It is possible for the price to be $2000 in january 2017 but the price has to really rise after the halving if that does not happen then we can forget it.
I predict that the price then has to be at least $1000 I am almost sure of that because with the last rising we were so close.
I don't think the price will touch $2k in January, my prediction is that the price might be around $1,000 to $1,400.
i doubt that this will happen too, we might touch a new all time high pretty soon too though i dont think that the price will go that high in just a few months

I think price will be around $800 to 900 range by that time and its really difficult to predict the price above that in such a short span of time.
yeah, the price will surely be much higher, in my opinion in a few months we might even reach a new all time high that will make us all some good money easily

Seriously, what makes you think we'll hit a new ATH in a few months? I can't even see the price reach $1000 again this year. Perhaps not even the $900 price level.
8325  Other / Off-topic / Re: What to do with my signature campaign earnings ? on: July 23, 2016, 09:16:06 PM
I think just keeping them till you have a decent amount to trade with is the best option. Otherwise just keep them in your wallet and let the coins pile up. Don't forget that just holding your coins is also an investment. You'll enjoy seeing your coins go up in value throughout the years.
8326  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a good long term investment to buy 1 BTC today? on: July 23, 2016, 08:59:30 PM
With so much other crypto projects in the workings, and BTC halving complete, I would not invest in BTC.

You are of course entitled to share how you think about Bitcoin, but Bitcoin is more than just the way over-hyped block halving. Some people tend to forget that. Now the block halving is over, and the price didn't reach $1000-$2000 as some dreamers here were thinking, they somehow have lost confidence in Bitcoin... Roll Eyes
8327  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: July 23, 2016, 08:42:01 PM
The only thing that could happen to lower the price is a huge scandal such as MTgox, but I dont wish that upon the community

I also hope it will never happen again, but that's indeed the only thing that can get the price to go down that much. But then again, what is seen as a very bad thing for one person, can be the best opportunity in the life of the other person.
8328  Economy / Speculation / Re: BUY or SELL bitcoins ? What you prefer ? on: July 23, 2016, 08:29:47 PM
I think we will see some stability in the coming weeks, the pumps and dumps are decreasing with the time.

We already have some sort of stability at this moment. In other markets this would still be considered volatility, but for Bitcoin it's actually quite stable. Enjoy this for as long as it takes as I believe it won't last for a few more months.
8329  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is happening? on: July 23, 2016, 10:18:04 AM
What is happening is dump after dump after dump. Every day more and more people learn about bitcoins flawed fundamentals and realize it can never work specially since nobody seems to care to fix it.
Second thing that is happening is dumps by people who bought into the halving hype that never happened.

The only thing that will happen now is more and more dumps as exposure of this scam grows.

I have to point out bitcoin is not a scam by itself but the community has turned it into one. One with far too many victims already. Be smart. Be safe. Educate yourself. Invest in future proof crypto.

1- If there is nothing broken, there is also nothing to fix.
2- People who were believing in miracles due to the halving are just dreamers without the ability to put things into reality themselves.
3- The price has gone up tremendously since the price was just hovering over the $300 price level. - Look where we stand now. Wink
4- Have a nice day.
8330  Economy / Economics / Re: How can you earn 5% interest daily on your bitcoins? on: July 23, 2016, 10:08:08 AM
Nothing that promises 5% income out of thin air can be  trusted.

That.

Any service offering you 5% interest per day will turn out to be a scam. No legit company or service can/will offer you such a massive daily interest rate. Your only luck is to put your coins and yourself to work whilst doing serious day trading.
8331  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2016, The Year of Bitcoin? on: July 23, 2016, 09:13:19 AM
2016 already proved to be year of bitcoin as the price hit 700$ its the highest i saw ever during myself using bitcoin i was using it also when it hit 1000$ but that time i did not had any to enjoy

by the way from now on, every year will be the year of bitcoins Smiley
Not 700$ it reached up to 800$, I thought it would go up but now it is decreasing. Compare to last 2 days it down to 50$ now Bitcoin price is 620$. I am not sure it will increase again or not. But 2016 is the year of Bitcoin many people made some profit when Bitcoin hit 800$.
yes i agree with this, 2016 is the year of bitcoin as we have seen we have got halving in this year and with that incident many users have collected some coins and now they are spending those coins at double price it makes them all rich

The majority of the people here don't even have 1BTC, so how will it make them rich because the price has doubled in value? If you had like 1000-2000BTC, and the price doubled after that, then it's a different story, but people making gains with small amounts doesn't mean they are rich...
8332  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will rise? on: July 23, 2016, 08:56:14 AM
and I am sure a time will come when you will say or someone else will say that "I think early investors who accumulated coins at price around $250 to 300 would get more benefits" as the price will increase more in the coming future so leave calculation and collect as much as you ca.

But these early investors takes more risk as the bitcoin might fail in the future. So they should be rewarded more.

It's not that they take more risk, they have got themself a very nice entry point in the market compared to those that enter the market at todays prices. If you look at it from that way, then todays buyers take more risk. But then again, early adopters are early adopter because they spotted the potential of Bitcoin at its very early stage and kept holding with massive gains as result.
8333  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next breakout in bitcoins price when will it be? on: July 23, 2016, 08:44:15 AM
If we're talking about a real potential breakout, then I am more concentrating on the months October and November. Doesn't mean it will really happen, but these months are mostly good for traders looking for volatility.
8334  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price going up? on: July 22, 2016, 10:38:57 AM
Bitcoin prices always going up but off course there are some drops in the midle but that is with everything. There will always be a rise at the end and i think the end of this year
will have a nice rising. So if you just hold some of your coins for the end of year 2016 you will be very happy with the profit you make.

Yeah holding till the end of the year can be really profitable, if halving allows you to make profits then you should sell your coin and collect the profits and buy it again when price falls after the halving.
Well I think holding till the end of the year is a wise decision man. IMO though it is good if it will rise very big and big kick will happen this coming halving then fall back again hahaha I think it will be good to see. I do hope that im in front of my computer when that happens.

I do not think the price will rise again due to halving. It has already risen due to halving in the last 6 months.

This time price was not not going so much up by halving but in next year price will definitely go high by halving so hold your bitcoins it will be profitable for you this time.

I'm also hoping for a rise sometime at the end of the year. The halving this year was kind of a disappointment. I expected the price to be higher by now, but oh well, nothing to do now but hope for better prices by the end of the year.

You are disappointed in the block halving because of you having too high expectations from the price. The price started to go up far before the block halving date, and thus if you look at the growth that we have realized so far, then it's definitely something to be very happy with. The price has nearly doubled in value when it went very close to $800 in June.
8335  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-07-22] Bitcoin Ponzi Scheme Operator Sentenced to 18 Months in Prison on: July 22, 2016, 10:25:21 AM
due to his ponzi scheme activities? but he is not the dev of ponzi coin huh?

Even so, but I hope this will create a deterrent effect or fear if there are people who want to make ponzi program. And we expect, there is support from the community to not follow or even ponzi support programs. Because with no one interested in the ponzi program, ponzi will die.

If no one throws money at these ponzi's, they will indeed die. The problem however is the greed aspect of a lot people here. They know very well that it is a ponzi, but still they don't care and are only interested in the potentially quick returns. That they invest money into something very risky, that's one thing, but what bothers me is that these people willingly put money into a scam. They pay and lose money, and thus support these schemes to make even more victims. That's the dumbest thing ever.
8336  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why need to use a Mixer? on: July 22, 2016, 10:15:11 AM
Solely for privacy reasons. Mixing my coins help me to maintain a certain level of anonymity that Bitcoin alone can't give me.
8337  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will be Bitcoin Price After 3 months? on: July 22, 2016, 10:05:24 AM
I hope that the price can at least be somewhere around $800 because I have been waiting some time for that to happen.
I taught that it was going to happen at the last rise but it did not happen.

We were very close to reaching $800 but that last bit was too much for the market to handle. $800-$850 is my prediction for this year, which is a decent price target.
8338  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell my stocks buy bitcoin... on: July 22, 2016, 09:25:18 AM
You can do that if you want to but you will to think twice before you make a move like that because it is not sure that Bitcoin is going to pay off.
If you are doing good with your stocks then I suggest that you should do them both.

In the long term, if you buy 1 bitcoin now, it will be $1000000 in a few decades. In short term, the price is not known.

And how are you so sure of that? Anyway, if you really believe the price to go up that much, then start buying yourself all the coins that you can at current prices. You'll be a multi millionaire.

8340  Other / Off-topic / Re: {share} how you get your first 1 btc? on: July 21, 2016, 10:32:59 PM
I started with buying several coins at a time back in very early 2013 when the price was around $20-$25. The price right now is obviously much higher, and thus it will take a lot longer for people to get their first whole Bitcoin.
