“Free” Ice Cream To People If They Agree Global Warming Is Real…Two days of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) hearings began Tuesday in Denver. Outside the EPA’s LoDo offices were some interesting attractions. There was a tent set up to tout solar energy and another one with a giant inflatable inhaler. The most interesting attraction outside the EPA offices in Denver, however, was the “free” ice ream truck. But just like anything else labeled “free” it wasn’t really free. A non-profit group called The Climate Reality Project sponsored the truck. To get a scoop of Ben & Jerry’s milk and cookies ice cream you were pushed into a line and handed an iPad. Representatives of The Climate Reality Project then told those eager for some free ice cream that first they had to sign their name and provide an email address. They said they were going to send this info to the Senate to show how many people want action on climate change…or really, free ice cream. The organization’s materials claimed that the climate is “too hot” (hence the ice cream) and that they want the government to cut carbon pollution. They we also pushing their agenda through social media, calling on the Governor to support the EPA’s proposal to limit carbon pollution from existing power plants. The organization tried to start a trend using the hashtag #imtoohot. Three Israeli Soldiers Killed In Booby-Trapped U.N. Health Clinic…Three IDF soldiers were killed on Wednesday in Gaza in an explosion at a booby-trapped UNRWA health clinic that housed the opening of a tunnel, the IDF’s Gaza Division commander, Brig. Gen. Micky Edelstein, said. Two of the three were named as Staff Sgt. Matan Gotlib, 21, of Rishon Lezion, and Staff Sgt. Omer Chai, 21, of Savion. The three troops, part of the elite Maglan unit, were taking precautionary measures in efforts to limit damage to the structure before eliminating the tunnel, when the explosives detonated in the small building. Could it be the other way around maybe? A lot of islamists chose terrorism. You are right, it is a very small minority. The vast majority must fight and eliminate the bad seeds within themselves. We are all real time witnesses. There are plenty of muslims and Islamic organizations who denounce all forms of violence on a regular basis, just that their voices get drowned out by the crazies. Also kinda depends on how you define terrorism/terrorists, you could argue that suicide bombers attacking military targets would be an act of war rather than terrorism. How about suicide bombers attacking little school girls on her way back home or to school? Act of war too? Hmm... |

He will be kept in a special isolation ward behind three separate air locks. The air inside the ward will be kept at lower pressure than outside, so none can escape – even though it is not believed Ebola can be transmitted by air. Doctors and nurses will wear complete protective bodysuits with their own oxygen supplies whenever in contact with him. The suits will be replaced and burned every three hours. The extreme precautions are an indication of how feared the Ebola virus is. The disease is spread by direct contact of blood or bodily fluids, including sweat and saliva. EBOLA: DOCTOR QUARANTINED IN CANADAA Canadian doctor has put himself in quarantine as a precaution after spending weeks in West Africa treating patients with the deadly Ebola virus alongside an American doctor who is now infected, local media said Tuesday. Azaria Marthyman of Victoria, British Columbia had worked in Liberia, one of four countries hit by an outbreak, with the Christian relief organization Samaritan's Purse. He has not tested positive for the virus, nor shown any symptoms since returning to Canada on Saturday, but one of his American colleagues, doctor Kent Brantly, is being treated for the disease.
