~snip~
Maybe in the next decade we may not see much of the test cricket because it is the longest format of any sport available in the world, in modern era people are getting so busy with their work so they may not have much time to watch five day matches. Grin

Very much possible scenario.

I think ICC might give up their fantasy of spreading the test cricket in a longer run, let's say next 2 decades.

More innovation in the World cricket would take place, we already have seen few in form of 3 teams Cricket / T-10 and soon with the 100 balls cricket.
I read about that 8 men three squad cricket but is that really possible? People may not get not much interest if three teams are playing against each other. But reducing the overs from T20 is highly possible in the coming years.

Not sure of how three teams can play together ? Do you have any source of this information where we can read more details about the plan ?

Secondly there are already T10 and T6 formats, so there is no need to reduce the overs in T20 format.
842  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gas prices, why do people pay that much more for a "brand" on: August 09, 2020, 06:05:42 AM
When you get oil changes every 7500 miles and someone asks you "weren't you her this month already?" and you just nod and head for the free coffee & donuts you start to care...a lot.

Isn't that what rentals are for? I've done 4-5k on two-week rentals, far cheaper than maintenance and depreciation on your own car. Oil change warning comes up, call Hertz, they tell you to ignore it LOL.

And then some poor guy buys a 3 year old car and finds out the engine is basically dead because they were doing one oil change a year regardless of the distance it covered.

That's funny because no oil company suggest to change the oil after certain months, they will always recommend to change it after certain millage. How can one be so ignorant ?

Im also thinking if reporting that to moderators could be considered as good report like noting a " huge size of images, bad representation".

I reported one post from user who is quote whole OP with big image to see what the result will be, and today I see that the report was marked as good and the post was deleted. Although the outcome of each report will depend on the moderator who comes to it first, it seems that some members will learn to use the forum functions correctly only when their posts are deleted.

I never thought that the such posts can be deleted on reporting. I see people quoting the whole ANN thread which contain both the images and lot of text, which is just useless. Same thing is done sometimes on the signature campaign main post being quoted in full which contain everything including the signatures BBcodes  Sad
From today onwards, i will also report such posts.
844  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Don't buy facemasks for the coronavirus! on: August 09, 2020, 04:59:09 AM
Mask is more about not letting other catch your virus than not to contact virus yourself.
There are many asymptomatic or less severe cases that goes unnoticed but they can infect others.
The relative success in containing the virus in East and South East Asia is mostly credited to the strict implementation of mask on public.

Mask is for you own security. Remember those who drive motor bikes have to wear the Halmet and those who drive the cars have to wear the seat belt, similarly those who move out of home have to wear a mask. This is how simple is it and we need to accept it as a new safety measure.
845  Other / Meta / Re: Statistics Bitcointalk.org on: August 09, 2020, 04:46:43 AM
Statistics was updated as of the 1st of august 2020. The number of active users is decreasing for the fifth month in a row. If the number of active uses keeps on decreasing, there is an assumption that their number will be twice as low in a year.

Makes you wonder what is causing it. Covid? People loosing interest? Other places to discuss? I have my own theory as to why, but it's not popular so I'll just keep it to myself.

Since there is, at least for now, a good increase in price makes you wonder what numbers August will show.

-Dave

You can share your opinion on why the active users are decreasing and your opinion does not need to be popular ofcourse. I think covid can be one of the reason but as the bitcoin price will increase and pandemic is over, we will see more active users on the forum.

Pakistan is looking desperate to get a wicket but no luck till now. They have lost 2 reviews in quick time and now they have no more reviews left. Only 34 runs left for England to win. This match will finish in just 4 days of play.
Pakistan really like to create a thrilling finish for the fans Grin, Yasir Shah finally took the wicket of Jos Buttler but England just need 13 runs to win the match. If Pakistan could score another 50 runs more in the second innings it would have been interesting and England does have a long batting line up with Chris Woakes chipping in at the right moment and scoring a valuable match winning half century and i hope he gets the man of the match award for his all round performance.

They had enough run on the board to defend. Team Pakistan always depends on their bowler than their batsman. The last 2 wicket of Pakistan  added 30+ run which was bonus for them. I will say poor performance by the pakisthani bowler. It disappointing for the Pakistani fan they completely faliled in the second innings.

It was a great show by the England middle order batsmen and they turned the match around. If you see that England middle order batting is very strong and they have always helped England to get out of worse situation.  England is now on the way for another series win.
847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What makes a good bettor? on: August 08, 2020, 05:06:06 PM
IMO, horse race bettor also need to have lot of knowledge related about horses and their previous history and it is important to know about all the running horses and their jockeys to find the probable winner so that makes them a good bettor and it changes depends on the game.If it is casino game then they should keep the bet amount in the median range so they can bet more time which might increase the chance of winning.

If you know about the sports it better because then you will be able to bet on a better team but you can still lose the bet because not always the strong teams wins. Sometimes it is better to not knowing any team strength and just bet with your luck.  Smiley
848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Netherlands pilot scheme to allow women to play in senior men's team on: August 08, 2020, 02:00:09 PM
With this soon we can watch mixed football matches same as that we have with the tennis. Another thing women won't get much exposure to the international play same as the men do. With the initiative taken by Netherlands Football Authority more young girls who are good in football will be known to the world.

Will this be allowed offically for women to play in mens team ? In tennis we have sepeate matches for mens, womens, double, single and mixed.
You will not find a match of double where at one team is playing with two males and other team is playing with a male and female.

If they want to introduce this in football, they first need to introduce mixed matches where  the teams consists of both male and female players.
849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 08, 2020, 01:25:33 PM
Still a 50-50 situation in the match. Pakistan lead by 244 and if england can restrict them within 250 then that will be easy for England, but Pakistan will be looking for anything above 275.

The big question is what will be the safe score for Pakistan ? There are only two wickets left for them and i don't see them making a big score from here onwards. At least i am not sure at this moment who will win this match. Perhaps it will depend on how England will bat last on this wicket.

England have made a superb comeback in this test match and this has made the test match more interesting as match can now swing in any direction. Pakistan is leading by 244 runs and they would try that remaining 2 wickets if can add another 30 runs will reach near 275. Though will this score be enough is a doubtful, but if Pakistan breaks through early in England innings might be enough.

As expected, they did made reach the target of 275 runs and now England needs 277 runs in their second inning to win this test match. Pakistan could not bat well just like in 1st innings they did it. Now everything will depend on their bowling if they must win this test match.

England should easily win this match. 277 is not a big target and one or two big partnerships can make the match more in favor of England.
If they can bat the first 50 overs with only 1-2 wickets down, that would be a dream start for them.

England are looking favorite now. The captain Root and Sibley are playing very sensibly and England are slowing cursing towards the target without losing any more wickets. Although England did not played well in the first innings but they have dominated in the 2nd innings bowling and batting.
850  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is This Kind Of Fairness Stake.com ??? on: August 08, 2020, 01:21:06 PM
Serious issue for me, win or lose. I do agree with all you guys, it's not about being scammed or anything and to be fair to OP he is only asking where the fairness is if they say it is provably fair.

OP as I know though, provably fair games on Stake 3 are on a different section and non-provably fair ones are probably what you played.

Bet history is a big problem for a lot of casinos though. Most can't keep very old history. Look at dice, is the worst. You can't really find history at best bet IDs. Someone should ask a casino to fix this issue.

Stake is a trusted site and i am sure they will come up with an answer which will satisfy the OP. They have been in the industry with good repute for a long time and no one can survive in the gambling industry if they are not honest. He  just need to wait a little until the team from the stake replies.
851  Other / Meta / Re: Protecting Your Account on: August 07, 2020, 04:38:08 PM
After reading the op, I immediately checked whether my email address here is hidden as stated. Good thing it is 'cause it's been a long time since I checked if my email is seen in public or not. It's not the email I use for important things, though, but I prefer for it to stay hidden just to be sure. I have multiple email accounts; one email for work; another for things involving money; and another for other purposes.

Gosh. Hackers are really everywhere. Let's always stay safe, everyone.

Hackers are always there to exploit any loop holes or any negligence from us. Hiding the email will certainly prevent the hackers from accessing the account in one way. Also it has been emphasized many time to use 2fa in email and do not disclose your email address on which you have important banking or exchanges account.
852  Other / Meta / Re: Make this forum a better place - part 1 on: August 07, 2020, 01:34:49 PM
I see this often and have never reported such posts, but I wonder if it would be desirable and what is the moderator’s position on the issue? Unnecessary use of quote is very widespread on the forum, and some members do not respond to warnings at all - although these are mostly the same ones who do not read the answers to their posts (shitposters&signature spammers).

Take this thread for example, we have Hero member who has not yet learned how to reduce the image to some appropriate size, and after that we have this :
Senior Member Reatim
Senior Member fiulpro
Yep, quoting posts with images is annoying AF, it should be a part of basic forum bon ton to remove those. Just went through recent post history of those two users and they constantly do that, that example you shared was not a coincidence, rather a rule for them. Zero fucks given. It would be good to hear mods stance on that, as some people won;t learn the lesson until their posts start  getting deleted.

Could that be somehow sorted automatically by forum, to at least hide images in quotes, if not completely remove it? Would that be complicated to implement?

There are not many images being posted in the forum but there are few section where we see a lot of images being posted. One of those section is WO thread. Although many images posted there are relevant and interesting but its annoying when anyone quote post with the images and we have un-necessary duplicate images.
853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: August 02, 2020, 11:26:06 AM
England actually struggled a bit with such a small target against a team like Ireland. If Ireland posted a total of 300 or something, they probably could have won this one. Willey continues to be their kryptonite with both bat and ball.

If they could have dismissed Willey quickly, this match could have gone down to the wire. England need to improve their game especially if they wish to compete against stronger teams in the future.

Although England did win last night, but I would not call it a convicing win. Losing 6 wickets to chase a small target againist  Ireland is not a good performance by any means. If Ireland had score 30-40 runs more and Ireland could take one more wickets, the match results could have changed. England need to be more careful in the 3rd match because a similar performance can cause them the match.

Winning does not need convincing, a win is a win. The records will only say England defeated Ireland it will never say it was not a convincing win. Ireland will lose this series if they bat like this throughout the series. I do not expect miracles from the Irish team but they should understand that it is a 50 over match and they need to stick to the wicket for longer duration.
I doubt Ireland is having better practices for cricket games like how top international team doing that is why they are hard to adapt to the new format of 50 overs which was evolved a lot in this 21st century.I will say they bowled really well but could reach the line so they need to take out the positive and proceed for the upcoming match.

Small teams like ireland will not get much games against the big teams like England. They should be happy that they are having a series with england when the sporting events are limited around the globe because of the pandemic. This is their chance to get a lot experience and practice.

Yo admin, pretty sure the suggestion to add more coins is here somewhere, but I'd like to say it one more time:
"Please add more altcoins" Smiley

As BTC and ETH fees are often soo high at the moment that it will discourage small-time gambler, I believe adding more support for cheaper (preferably POS) altcoin will be beneficial to your casino. Thanks!

Adding more coins to the site is always good because then we have more options to play with any altcoin however it has nothing to do with increase in the bitcoin fee. The small gambler do not need to withdrawal more often and can save on withdrawal tx fee easily.
855  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why newbies involves in copying already treated topic on: August 01, 2020, 01:56:07 PM
but I don't know if people are focusing too much on ranks and merits and less on providing discussion, insight and quality...
Most contributive and constructive posts don't even get merited enough if posters aren't in the clique of those reading it or their names don't ring a bell. A lot of posts get merited simply because of the usernames of the posters, and necessarily not because of what is posted. I have seen this a lot of times with low quality posts. And that reminds me of what Nullius posted concerning the lopsidedness of meriting posts (among other things) in this forum and I like the way he capitulated it variously here. I think the OP shares same sentiment and I believe that to be true too. Newbies suffer more of this merit drought. I sincerely hope that the merit sources here look in the way of these newbies who have quality posts and merit them.

If anyone posts a very good post in the mega spam thread, those won't be read by many members and hence they will not get the required merits. Also mega spam thread are populated by the signature campaigns participants , most of them normally focus more on writing post, then reading them.
If you posted something which is already been posted a 100 times, even in a good quality, don't expect much merit for such post.
856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: August 01, 2020, 10:50:19 AM
Ireland used to give hard competence to the opponents in the T20 Matches. In ODI matches we can't expect big performance. Scoring 172 runs is good, but for a team like England it is easy target. Even if it has faced early wicket fall, the last order players will score this run.

Today is the 2nd ODI match. Hope they can play better cricket compared to first match and it would more interesting.

I was seeing past 2 years ODI matches history, and majorly they played against Afghanistan, West Indies and England and 2 matches against Zimbabwe. The team needs to have more matches first and against different teams like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka etc they should have tour. This would give them more matches to play and as a team they will grow better and later on can play against rest of the teams as well.

Do not expect any miracle from the Irish team. England should easily win the second ODI, the Irish team should concentrate on their batting and hopefully they understand it is not. a T20 or a T10 match but a 50 over match.

I think we should not under estimate the ireland team. Seeing the last match, they were 28 for 5 and still managed to make 172 runs in the end. If their upper order batsmen could bat well, we can see them making a competitive total. I am not saying the ireland can win the 2nd ODI but only if they start well, it will be interesting to watch.

Bounty is not enough to make money, that's truth.

Are you working in affiliate marketing ? You can earn a lot of money if you have some knowledge and experience of affiliate marketing.
Bounty work is useless but if anyone has no other work, he can still work on bounties and hope those new coins may give them good profits in the future.
858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you agree with the experts? on: August 01, 2020, 06:22:18 AM
The BTC market grows rapidly for the next few days. Isn't that good for the crypto market? Do not listen to those people who are just sitting behind the desk and spread fomo around social media. Crypto market is less affected from the economic downside in this economic crash. We haven't seen any major market collapse yet but on the other hand, it is recovering now and more liquidity came to the market if you check out the last 24-hour market cap.

the fomo is creeping in bitcoin community and people are now buying bitcoins because they think that this rally will soon cross all time high. Bitcoin greed index also suggest the same.

859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Like to hear what crypto sportsbook you are using? on: August 01, 2020, 05:22:42 AM
Sorry, freebitco.in offers sports betting?
They do but only 1 betting per week but only limited to Football league. I am using Sportsbet and most likely just trying to bet on basketball league. I registered on some sportsbooks but so far Sportsbet was the one I stayed long.
Not really a typical sportsbook where there's a lot of market, that's why I myself was also surprised.

many are still surprised when users recomend freebit in gambling threads because all they only know is that freebit is  a faucet and not a gambling site but freebit does now support sportsbetting , lotto , hilo/dice game and others .

i see some users here that do want other games aside from sportbetting alone because of the waiting element sportbetting have where they got bored and wants to continue the fun, freebit is perfect for them .

Freebitco does not allow you to bet on all the sports. They have some limited sports on which you can bet on. If you occasionally bet on sports, you can use freebitco but for the professional gamblers they would look for a comprehensive betting site where they can bet on all the matches.
860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: eth going strong on: August 01, 2020, 05:02:48 AM
Many people who bought the ETH when it was at 100$ will be very happy due to the current condition of ETH is going very strong in the market, we might see a huge upward trend for the ETH in the coming days due to because Vitalik might release 2.0 version very soon.

I'm sure everything is still HOLD, I'm a little sorry for selling Ethereum at $ 200, how? is it worth buying it now?

Untomabur you are right, for many of us it's still HOLD. And many of us here bought at $100, I have some Ethereums I bought over
$400 in 2017, now you can see for how long I am holding and believe I will hold for a lot longer!
Ethereum is going strong and it's what we knew it will happen, it was just a question of time. Now it's not the time for selling
it's time for patience, and adding more before we see higher increase.
You are really patient when you can hold ETH for the past two years because I am not confident enough to do this. I have only purchased ETH since the beginning of this year, and this coin has brought me double profits in a short time. At the moment, I don't want to sell this coin yet because I am sure that the news of 2.0 will make this coin go higher, and if the altcoin season comes back, the return to the old ATH will soon happen.

Those who are holding ETH should not sell it at this point. Although the price of Eth is up but still there is a lot of room for it to grow. I will also not recommend to wait for all time high because it may take another year or so, to reach to that price. My short term target will be 500$ and i will sell 50% of my ethereum at that price.
