844  Local / 中文 (Chinese) / Re: 都谁在玩比特币? on: January 09, 2014, 04:34:18 AM

849  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When 2 exchanges are $100 apart on BTC... (Mt.Gox vs BTC-E right now) on: January 09, 2014, 01:59:57 AM
What's to stop people from buying on one exchange and selling on the other over and over?

Shouldn't that equalize the price fairly quickly?

because ppl are sayin they cannot get usd out of gox for months ...
850  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Using Wester Union to sell BTC? on: January 09, 2014, 01:57:04 AM
wire is safer. Western Union is for small amounts among families only. they may forfeit/freeze your account otherwise.

you can buy/sell on our exchange LakeBTC for USD (and CNY)

Hmmh, that might be right, I think I will also use wire transfer with wm-center.se as that also seems to be the cheapest way. Thanks for the info though.
Should wm-center not work, I might come back to you....what are your verification requirements? I have no problem  with a copy of ID card, but I can't  provide a proof of residence as I am on travel right now, thats the reason I am not using bitstamp for selling BTC.

justs copy of id and photo.

yeah try wm first. it could save you time & fees if that works. we negotiated with these payment companies before but it turned out wire is the best feasible option out there

Wow, so if I register at your site, can I sel and buy BTC (like on mtgox,btc-e,etz.) and have my money on your exchange? And then when I decide to cash out I have to verify my self, with just a photo ID?
Were are you located, how come you don't need a proof of residence? That sounds great Smiley

we have teams in US and China, and you can trade in USD and CNY, for the time being. thanks for your inquiry. Smiley

you mean exchanges like ours?
852  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to safely sell Bitcoins on eBay? on: January 08, 2014, 11:41:31 PM
Anyone know of a secure way to sell bitcoins on eBay?  I'm thinking about selling mine in small denominations to increase profit, but I am worried about going through PayPal.  Is accepting MoneyPak safe/non-reversible?  I have been scammed once on eBay buying bitcoins and I am not going to let it happen again.  Thanks for any input.

i don't have an answer to your ebay question but why sell on ebay? it's otc style and price could be low and risk is high. why not just sell on any exchange like ours?
853  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your behaviour during a decline in the market? on: January 08, 2014, 11:38:31 PM
it depends on why it falls and your view on why it falls and how much confidence on your view  Smiley
854  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Using Wester Union to sell BTC? on: January 08, 2014, 11:30:00 PM
There are few exchange services with reputation, some of them can send you WU. But look for testimonials first...

Wow, realy? Do you have names? I have already looked for this but did not find anything, that would be nice!
Would thse exchanges also use money gram? Money gram seems to be way cheaper than WU, so that would be perfect.
Thanks!

I used wm-center.es few times, they can send both WU or MG, but unfortunatelly they are fixed rate exchanger, and their current XBT/USD rate is awfull... I am currently using them to withdraw money from bitcoins this way: bitcoins => btc-e redeem code => WU thru wm-center, and loses are much smaller

Wow, they do look promising, thanks!
Can you tell me if I have to verify myself before using them (sending drivers license & utility bills )? Or can I just send them BTC and they will send my Money via Money Gram/ Western Union?

I was already verified by them before, so I am not sure, sorry. Check live chat at their website, it works in browser 24/7, and I'm sure they will let you know what is their current AML policies, limits to withdraw without verification etc. Good luck!
Thanks you, I am shaking them out and asking them some questions via there contact form (chat dose not seem to work) and they have been quite helpful this fare, if all goes well I will make my first test sell with them tomorrow.
I will let you know if it worked or not Smiley

855  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's the best place for short trading? on: January 08, 2014, 02:48:07 PM
Hi Everyone,

After doing some researching and making some "demo" trades, I've decided that I want to start short trading. I'm based out of the UK so getting good exchanges here is pretty much impossible. I've decided that the easiest way to do it would be to trade it on a "dollar" exchange and then just withdraw all the btc after I'm done short trading. My main question here is; What exchange would you recommend for short trading BTC?

Thanks,

Teka

p.s: I would like to apologize to the mods if this in the incorrect sub-forum.

we have short and margin features but not open to public yet. most users do not recognize/manage the risks associated properly ...
856  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Withdrawing USD from btc-e or another exchange sites ? on: January 08, 2014, 02:37:30 PM
Hello im kinda newbie here ...

857  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: As of January 2014, what's the best way to purchase large amounts of Bitcoin? on: January 08, 2014, 02:27:53 PM
I'm definitely interested in Coinbase, yet they have a full 30 day wait period before large purchases.

Any popular others that accept wires or bank account purchases? I'm in the US.

(mt.gox no thanks, and btc-e doesn't accept US wires)

we do accept wire Smiley check it out

858  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptsy deposit over 6 hours??? WTF?? on: January 08, 2014, 02:25:26 PM
I have deposit some LTC, XPM, FTC, and some other coins to cryptsy, it has been over 6 hours, still not deposit. There is no sign of it in the pending deposit. Is this normal?

15 max 30 should be enough
859  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MTGox phone number? on: January 08, 2014, 02:24:20 PM

860  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Money withdrawal on: January 08, 2014, 02:22:54 PM
Just to update about my transactions

1) MTGOX - I am waiting for 5 weeks for my withdrawal. Didn't come yet.
2) I tested Kraken service and made a withdrawal of 150$. It arrived after 8 business days (international transaction) which is nice.

I am upset with GOX. They don't even bother to answer my support e-mails

heard ppl have been waiting since june ...

our exchange (LakeBTC) process transfers promptly, FYI
