845  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 2014 .01 BTC Microsoul Physical Coin - Sealed Hologram on: August 19, 2019, 08:36:17 PM
It's a series 2, which is a rarer variety than the series 1.

https://www.cryptoitems.com/item/2014-microsoul-coin-hundredth-btc
https://www.cryptoitems.com/item/001-btc-2014-microsoul-coin-series-2

50 or less of these coins were produced, and many of them were initially peeled (due to the private key issues).

I believe the numismatic value is higher than .01BTC, and agree funding can't be trusted.

I'd argue not to peel the coin because it will loose its numismatic value, and you may not ever be able to redeem the value.

I agree with you and that's why I haven't peeled it. Super rare and a popular piece of Bitcoin history, despite the funding questions.

Have you considered an auction starting at zero?  Probably best way to determine market value for this coin.

I just peeled 7 coins i got from him last night. 1 out of the 7 didnt even have a piece of paper under it. no key or anything.

Of the other 6, how many priv keys had the .01 btc?
846  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Auction] 21hrs left!!! Lealana Brass 2013 0.1BTC on: August 18, 2019, 02:11:44 AM
I'm not bidding against newbis who can't publicly verify their funds.

FWIW, I'm not a newbie. I was around, and fucked by Mt.Gox. I disappeared for a long time after that, I hope you can understand why.

I can log into my old account, still have, and use the same email; but bitcointalk froze it after they went public with everyones passwords a few years back. I never came back to change my password(mainly still pissed about gox), and now although I can log into my old account it's frozen and the admins wanted me to create a new account instead. After losing MJ's guilt action due to restrictions I messaged them from my old account and asked for the restrictions to be released from this account and they were. The fact this account is label'd as brand new is a misleading and perhaps costing the sellers of this community money.

If any admins are reading this, or anyone close to one, it would be nice if my old account was unlocked, or at least this one inherited the join date (and can be switched to my REAL email).

1st, welcome back.

2nd, congratulations on the auction win

Here is my stupid question, does the red mark on each postcard indicate that it was actually used? Because in the USA, whenever I see a stamp, like that, on a stamp on a piece of mail it indicates it was used.

But those don't look like they were used besides the fact they were peeled and stuck on a postcard.

I have done in person cash purchases in the past however I would be hesitant to get on a plane in the US with over 10k usd cash due to civil asset forfeiture abuse being so prevalent here now.
858  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] Corrosive Creations Cryptodeck, SPADES on: August 08, 2019, 11:28:53 PM
The COA provided in the package was done by Polymerbit on the forum and is made, funnily enough, from polymer. It is a work of art in itself and as far as I am aware, is the first COA that they have done. It oozes quality.

Yes, and this entire project oozes the highest quality! Well done! Shocked

Lot 7 — .014 btc

Regards,
Chris

As the owner of a prototype, I totally agree this entire project oozes the highest quality.  Silver card, COA, and presentation are all top notch.

Thanks JanEmil,

I assume you mean selling online. How do you ensure that I would get paid and the coin safely makes it to its owner? $12K USD is not chump change. I've been trying to find a buyer to meet me at a bank and exchange cash. Is that just not really an option in the bitcoin community?

We use escrows to facilitate safe trading between strangers here in the collectibles section.  There are many trustworthy escrows who will collect the digital btc from the buyer, you ship the physical coin to the escrow, the escrow then sends the digital btc to you the seller and the physical coin to the buyer.  Easy peasy.  Typically the fee for the escrow is 1%.
