Why do you have to quit your job if you can do both tasks?
It's all about proper time management. Most of us here have a full-time job except crypto because we can't rely all our necessities in trading because we all know that the market isn't stable and cryptocurrency is volatile. It's better if you're earning through a full job while making money in trading.

The freedom you get is priceless. You have your own schedule and plan. And nothing limits your profit
Risk is inevitavle, but wise management turns the volatility into your friend, into  your earnings

Closed. Even though the move is not really sharp, the number of contracts matters. But always set it up according to your risks
Also let's remember its only one market. What I do is watching around 10-15 markets and waiting for the perfect set ups. More practice and anyone is able to do so

Hey. I'm Mark. Shortly about myself: quit my major job to earn my way by trading and it exceeded my expectations. What I got from it that everything is possible, guys.

Here's one of them:

Each deal is a piece of art

Indeed looks like a piece of art. May you please explain the abbreviation? Cannot get it

Thank you a lot!

Hey. Here are the most popular price action abbreviations. Gonna add some more charts on that later as soon as they appear

1. dblhc - double bar low with a higher close on second bar
2. dbhlc - double bar high with a lower close on second bar
3. beovb - bearish outside verticle bar; second bar totally encompasses the
prior bar with a lower close on the second. usually signals a continuation
of the current trend
4. buovb - bullish outside vertical bar

What was your previous job? If you're earning better now than the previous job that you had, I could say that you made the right choice but if you're earning better before then your choice was a risk. I have a friend who choice crypto over his office job and he's regretting it because the income here isn't stable due to the volatility of the market.

My previous job was related to trading, so I got some hints from there. What I can say about switching, is that it gave:
1) more profits
2) more freedom

No regrests at all.

But yeah, that should take enough time and experience to make such a decision. The only thing to remember is that it is possible

One more deal. A strong breakout of the price consolidation after the reversal pattern

Haven't close this yet. Gonna see the  result.

Did almost the same but entered later. Looks like it gonna soar, but not sure yet

Jeah, good moment. Guess many traders succeed here. Closed already, looking for sth more interesting

One more easy deal at the market

The strong resistance was broken and the price followes bull run

It would be better to enter at pin bar pattern u see at the chart, but even if missed it the deal is still great, just put more contracts in it

Good luck my friend, it is always a hard decision to leave fixed income job to do full time crypto trading. I tried it in 2018 but could not succeed, I am not purely into cypto trading, I do forex trading as well. Crypto market was very low in late 2018 and I could not do much trading in forex trading as well and that is the reason I had to join another job. I wish, you get success in your trading career.

Are you in trading for a long time?
My regrets about that happened. Hope you are doing good now. Probably, you did it too early (I needed more than 10 years to take that decision), anyway, being a part-time activity it also may bring lots of benefuts
I was in Forex for some time (a couple of years or so)  but find crypto and traditional markets to be my cup of tea.

The second deal i liked for today. Price action strategy in all its glory:

I was so confident in it that used more that 10% of my deposit in this deal (do it rarely)
The number of the points does not matter so much as the number of your contracts

The first mistake you made is leaving your job.
Seriously dude,  you think you can make your livelyhood just by trading.
If i would you, i haven't done that shitty work.
Trading can be helpful as a passive income.
As in trading money is not confirmed. Sometimes you make profit, whereas sometimes you make loss.
So i am really disappointed by your decision.
Moreover as you  have asked the question,i will say this is not a good choice.

Thank you guys for your responses.

I understand your dissappointment, but in fact it was a weightened decision after years of practice.

I was hesitating and failing. Finally the experience won, and helped to get rid of maly limitations.

All in our brains

I don't see the deals you made, can you share them again? Did you make sure you tested your system enough before quiting your major job? How consistent you wins are, and why do you think you can sustain your livelihood from just trading? I know people live by trading forex and even make good money, but those people work for proffesional firms with huge funds on their disposal, and their profits (ROIs) are not bigger than 20-30 percent per year.

I'm going to post them on regular basis here, this is the one the most recent (XBTUSD BitMEx):

An interesting pic could be seen 15th of May till yesterday at 4h chart. The BTC price was tracking inside a downtrending channel between two strong trend lines (horizontal resistance, formed by 3 tries of the price to break it out, and upwards trend line). That was a crossroads, but now the upwards trend is broken out, meaning that the bears took the control back for a while.  The today's short was really confident here

No doubt, the system is tested. And my rule is to adjust it, as there is no limit to perfection.
The decision to quit is a serious thing, personally I was making a detailed plan of my trades after getting a constant result for enough period of time, combining major job and trading
854  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit my job to do full-time crypto-trading on: May 23, 2019, 10:48:32 AM
Good luck... hopefully you have enough experience to get a regularly income of your trading. how long do you already trade?
i have seen so many people quitting their job in 2017 cause they are going to be fulltime trader. most of them weren't really happy about their decision some months later..

Thanks man.
Yeah, I won't ever quit the job with not enough experience and won't ever advise it to anyone. 12 years already in trading, about 4 years in crypto trading.  I got some hints for the strategy from my job and spent years on getting experience, that is why my quitting is rather reasonable and not so risky
Suppose, the majority of the people you are talking about are already sitting in the offices. Hype makes people crazy
