841  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the best poker bitcoin site with most bettors ? on: July 15, 2015, 07:04:16 AM
I think none of the bitcoin poker sites have much bettors if you compare to those Bet365, PartyPoker...
 Cry

Partypoker is a shit site to pick though they come out with crazy rules like segregation of the player pool so the fish player the fish and the sharks play the sharks.  All so they can get more rake.
842  Economy / Gambling / Re: try your chess skills for bitcoin on: July 14, 2015, 12:14:59 PM
i am sure it will be not easy for some one to run a bot on this site. i wll keep capture each match and will analyisis players moves, and will make sign up system we hard so it will be not easy for a bot to log in in this site

Thats fine, but what about a passive bot where a player is doing the actually moves, but a bot is deciding them?  It would be virtually undetectable.

What about you set your windows chess no the maximum level and use the moves it uses against you to play vs others.  I guess that doesn't help you if there are questions relating to chess strategy but it does make you very hard to beat.
843  Other / Off-topic / Re: Question about woman on: July 14, 2015, 12:10:36 PM
Ah lol i just voted for male and i see that someone is voted for shemale i guess the OP is shemale Tongue

LOL!

At first I was wondering "is the OP serious by adding that option",
but then I saw that 2 people voted Shemale Shocked

Same with you guys, at first i'm not serious addimg the 3rd gender...

After saw 2 votes, don't know if it's just troll or reality...

Anyway, I'm Male...  Grin

Hehe, who knows really. Things are changing Smiley.  Good idea to add in other as an option as some people also consider themselves as Nonbinary - refers to any gender that is not exclusively male or female.

Let's see ratio between male & female here, but i'm sure at least 20:1 if nobody trolled the vote.
Also, i think you should add "other" option since many websites already give this option.

Other option added...
Thanks for your suggestion...

====================================

Can I ask what "other" stands for?
I can understand transgender, but I am having trouble understanding "other".

Are we talking about sex or sexual prefference here?

Saw a thread "do girl use bitcoin?"

And i saw many funny comments there...

So i'm curious and asking here, any woman here?   Grin

Polling added

Of course there are women here, just the % is mostly men who would be hanging around the forum daily.  Also OP i think the term is transgender, shemale is usually seen as offensive.
847  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC-E IS ANALOG IN OPERATIONS on: July 14, 2015, 08:07:38 AM
Pretty much we all aware that btc-e.com does not have provable customer chatting support system apart from the trade chat at their website which you cannot use unless you have $100 balance, no matter how big your problem is, they will not attend to you until after 36 hours or even more.
Though I like the website but I think they are becoming old fashion in their mode of operations.
Does anybody here know of any good and legit bitcoin exchange website with multiple options of withdrawer of USD and that have good customer support.
Please guide me right because I am done with btc-e.com.

The $100 to chat in the troll box is maybe a good idea, but perhaps it should be lower to just a few bucks.

1.) The place has less of a buzz when the troll box is quiet
2.) If you make it zero i think the problem is spammers.
848  Economy / Gambling / Re: What percent of internet Bitcoin poker is Luck vs Skill? on: July 14, 2015, 08:02:12 AM
i think to play in gambling we need luck and skill
so i choice 50% luck and 50% skill.
and dont forget to play poker we need be patience.

if its a 50/50 then probably i should do always call the All-in button because i have a 50% winning percentage

No its definately not 50/50.

In real-life you can win easily just by looking at people's expressions. Doing it online that's impossible.

Its not impossible it just takes alot of hard work.  They say it takes 10,000 hours to get good at anything and online poker is no different.  I do think its possible to beat micro stakes very soon in your poker career though.

Look @ pokertableratings.com and you will find many long term winners.

851  Economy / Services / Re: DA DICE Signature Campaign 2.O [CLOSED] on: July 10, 2015, 08:41:03 AM
I personally thank you all! Closing the campaign is just a measure to show the haters, naysayers, self-proclaimed scambusters and their numerous shills that we don't need this campaign necessarily and that we can continue to grow without it.

We will be back at a later stage!

Thank you all once again!

Hope to see you back soon, maybe things will chill out a little.
852  Economy / Services / Re: DA DICE Signature Campaign 2.O - Pay Per Post & Fixed Campaign Thread on: July 10, 2015, 07:27:49 AM

Hi,

This is an official announcement.  Cool

Da Dice has been brutally attacked by some logically nutty reputed members from here (these guys virtually attack everything they "think" suspicious. Word is that they store their cents buried in chests underground and worse, esp. after Greece. Can't trust these banks, you see?) and some ambitious members and some who hate everything related to Da Dice for some yet unidentified reason. The management is tired of all this, and has decided to withdraw from the forum and in effect all campaigns have been closed.

You will be paid for posts till now, and you are free to remove our signatures and avatars. (If escrow balance falls short, they will be refilled by Steve, our undisputedly awesome Da Dice admin.)

Cheers and sorry Sad
ndnhc

oh fuck! ok well thanks for running the campaign, was really awesome! good luck to you sirs.
853  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Beamer 2015 WSOP World Series of Poker Sponsorship‏ on: July 10, 2015, 07:13:46 AM
Beamer just started today and he is up to 115K.

https://twitter.com/bitcoinbeamer

Up to 165k im guessing thats how he finished up for the day, seems like he'll have a very good chance at cashing now. Good job if you backed.
854  Economy / Gambling / Re: House edges compound - Why people always seem to lose at dice on: July 09, 2015, 04:24:29 PM
House edges have a much greater impact than you can imagine.

Assume you start with 1 BTC, with the final aim of 1024 BTC.

With a house edge of 1%, you have a 0.0966% chance if you try to do a direct 1024x bet.
On the other hand, if you try doubling your money 10 times to reach there, you get a (0.495)^10 = 0.0883% chance of reaching 1024 BTC.

While in the first case, the expected value is 0.99 BTC, in the second case though, it is around 0.9 BTC. Effectively, in the second case, the house edge is actually 10%, even though your start amount and target amount are the same.

In general, the average amount you expect to win (expected value) after a number of bets will be original amount * (1 - house edge)^number of bets

What am I getting at with this?

If you're gambling with the aim of earning money, set a fixed threshold and aim to get there in a single bet of all your funds.

You always lose 1% or whatever house edge of all the money in total that you bet. Try to minimise the total amount of money gambled.
If you have no strategy, putting it all on a low chance roll may be better than a lot of other poorly conceived strategies

Admittedly betting it all on one go, with a low chance to win is not fun...

Yup indeed the best way to approach the gamble from a defending you life savings perspective is to make 1 bet and never bet again.  From an entertainment point of view this is rather boring.   You can see from your example why martingaling performs so badly in the long run since its a high volume betting system style.
855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Discussion about Wimbledon 2015 on: July 09, 2015, 04:20:14 PM
I'm sorry but who is Richard Gasquet? It's his first time in the semi-finals. How can you put him over Novak?
Djokovic will play in the final and probably get the trophy.
Murray vs. Federer is a tough choice though. I prefer Federer - Djoko final but I won't bet for Murray - Federer game. It's too risky and unpredictible.

Gasquet is a class player very talented been around for a long time and seems to be in best form ever, i wouldn't bet on him vs djokovic if the odds were even.   With odds of 12-1 it seems +ev to me.
856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Discussion about Wimbledon 2015 on: July 09, 2015, 01:09:48 PM
Muguruza currently beating the crap out of radwanska, who saw that coming? Looking like a comfortable 2-0 win in the making.  Maybe Muguruza has the power to give serena a go in the final.

edit: spoke too soon
857  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kraken Accepting MtGox Bankruptcy Claims on: July 09, 2015, 01:05:43 PM
Regardless of whether you are claiming through Kraken or the MtGox claims site, don't forget that the trustee has said they will accept claims up until May 29th Japan time.

When do you think we might start seeing some coin?  & for an even trickier question what % chance in your opinion would you put on us seeing anything back at all? (guess you cant speculate on that?)

The timeline for payouts depends on how long it takes the trustee to evaluate all the claims. This is bound to be a slow process and I wouldn't expect payouts for 3 more months at least.

I can't speculate on a % chance, but assuming the information given by the trustee is accurate, it seems claimants have a good chance to see a portion of their original funds returned. It's hard to say how much claimants might get back though.

Hopefully the trustee will issue an update sometime in the next month or so that will shed more light on things, but until then all we can do is wait. Hang in there everyone!

Thanks for providing us with some details, lets hope things go to schedule from here on out.  If it turns out i get 20 25% or whatever back and bitcoin has gone to the moon it might turn out i could make ROI in dollar value, ha!
858  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to $50k before Xmas on: July 09, 2015, 12:56:17 PM
Bitcoin to $50k before Xmas

I fully agree. Especially as you didn't mention which Xmas.
In a couple of years, by Xmas, there's a huge chance for that to happen!

Christmas in a decade.

I want to make sure i always have at least 10-15 bitcoins for when this scenario happens, it wont take 10 years though, probably wont even take until 2020.
859  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hey, What Do You Think The Price of Bitcoin by end of this week? on: July 09, 2015, 12:53:33 PM

I'll go with a spike to $370 but resting @ about $320 - $330 for another week until the next push.  Still a few days to go for it to be a week from the 6th.
860  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs Litecoin : I sold LTC for BTC . May I wrong ? on: July 09, 2015, 12:41:50 PM
You did right. Litecoin is not so popular as BTC. Just use BTC - this is smart choice  Grin

lol

I dont know if you guys have seen but litecoin buy books are actually showing even more strength today vs when we were @$5 and $6 on previous days.  This is an easy double figures run.  What happens with bitcoin will matter.
