841  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What could be the problem here? on: August 18, 2023, 11:55:17 PM
What do we think could be the cause for a trader that has been experiencing a win and lose repetitive occurrences in his trades.

Like he places a trade today he makes profit and the next day when he places another trade he would lose it, whereas the next day he then makes another profit and lose it the next. And this happen been repeating for more than a month.

Has anyone had such experience? If yes! Then how was or could it be solved or stopped?
The situation is getting psychological.
actually this is a phenomenon that is quite common when trading, apart from that you also have to understand that professional traders are not those who never lose when trading, they must have experienced it quite often but the percentage of losses they get is smaller than the percentage of wins they get it, maybe you seem to be doing useless things, but remember that your experience will increase and when you trade more often, your instincts will start to awaken so you can make decisions that are much more precise than before.
842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling by financial dependents. on: August 18, 2023, 11:26:40 PM
A family member reported to me that her eighteen years old son has started gambling. She is not worried that he is gaming but her problem is that he is a student that solely depends on her for everything he needs. Her fear is also that her son might start stealing from her if he has no access to the money he needs to gamble. My relative has even started suspecting that some money she feels was misplaced might have been stolen by her son.

I spoke to my nephew and he told me that he has never stolen from his mother to gamble. And he gambles with only his savings from his weekly stipend he receives from the family. And he won't gamble if he has no savings to do that. From my observation, he is a responsible gambler that is just enjoying the game and making a little money occasionally. The gambling age in my country is 18+, but his mother is insisting that he must stop. What will be your advice for this young boy?
it's not easy to raise a child especially when they grow up and turn into someone who is independent and don't listen to advice from parents anymore, If i were to become the parent of this adult boy, i would try to talk heart to heart with him about the negative impact that might happen to him if he could not control his gambling activities.  Besides that, he would also tell him that living humans have responsibilities and when he is able to make his own money then it is his right to use the money but limit it to gambling capital.
843  Economy / Economics / Re: Any business where today you launch, tomorrow you begin making profit...? on: August 18, 2023, 11:12:24 PM
Usually, service businesses give you a fairly fast turnover of money, such as car wash, food & beverage, game equipment rental or laundry, the point is that you also have to be able to do market research to determine which potential businesses you can do to make quick profits.

Apart from business ideas, another very important thing is your business capital, even though it is not recommended to take out a loan to start a business, but if you are sure of the sustainability of the business that you are about to start, borrowing money will not be a problem, just how do you manage your finances!
844  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SpaceX sold $373M worth Bitcoin, reason of current dump on: August 18, 2023, 08:52:23 PM
Have you see how dumping Bitcoin? If not you are missing red chart. Here is the reason why current dump happened.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/spacex-sold-bitcoin-acquired-2021-2022-report

You can see SpaceX sold $373M worth of Bitcoin. Elon is very harmful for Bitcoin as always. He always supports shitcoins that doesn't have any real value.
Elon is acting up again...no need to exaggerate, Elon is only a fraction compared to all bitcoin supporters, i really support Elon Musk selling all the bitcoins he owns (let unstable humans stay away from bitcoin), without him the bitcoin price is actually very stable, apart from that the fluctuations in the bitcoin price so far seem reasonable, i instead seeing as this is part of the drama leading up to the next halving, let's bet that not until the end of this year, bitcoin price will cross $40k and maybe create a new ATH, who knows...
845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 17, 2023, 11:57:18 PM
Neymar's shirt in PSG got a new owner and now Dembele is a player who is going to wear the number ten in PSG for next season, in fact when there was some news about Mbappe leaving PSG there were some people they said Dembele will use the number seven. But now the posters of Dembele's shirt are published and he will use the number ten.

dembele really suits this number, he deserves the number 10, it was difficult for PSG to get Dembele because xavi and barcelona really expected him to be there but Dembele's determination is quite strong especially at PSG he gets pretty good money.  After it was reported that Mbappe had officially extended his contract until 2025, it was hoped that Dembele could match with Mbappe.  to make PSG's attack line even sharper, Enrique must be able to provide a good combination for the PSG squad because PSG's stock of good strikers is quite a lot (there are Ramos, Asensio, ekitike and lee)
846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 17, 2023, 11:38:57 PM
The current 2023/2024 EPL campaign, ofcourse its going to be tough one for elite clubs. We are open to know the necessary statistics of these clubs at the earlier stages but as times goes on, things vastly change, looking at the view of average clubs, they are big threats to elite teams, although they don't stand a chance but there's essentially what we called good luck in football. I've witnessed scenario where the elite club have higher hands to win the inferior team, but at the end of the day, results expected reversely turned. All this illustrations I tried putting together, will portray the weaknesses of Manchester City against Newark United.
The problem with the top clubs in the Premier League (you call them elite) is that there are too many of them. Even if we remove Tottenham, which finally became closer to the average clubs after the sale of Kane, then we still have: Liverpool, United, Arsenal, City, Chelsea and I think Newcastle is already there. But even if we remove Newcastle, there are 5 top clubs, and only 4 places in the Champions League. Thus, the one who takes the fifth place automatically becomes a complete loser, although it only lost to the other 4 top clubs.
newcastle really surprised me, they did very well last season and i this season they have started some games very well (win over villareal in friendly 4-0 and against aston villa 5-1) they really deserve to be considered as one of strong team in EPL at the moment.  Newcastle's next opponent is Mancity, this is really a tough opponent for them but if they are able to win or draw against Man City then it will be a big surprise.

Chelsea also performed quite well, facing West Ham later it is certain that they will win smoothly, Pochettino really mixes Chelsea well.
847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: August 17, 2023, 10:27:52 PM
Against Sevilla, Manchester City almost lost the match. That's why it was a big problem for them to even go to penalties. Luckily they won on penalties but could have lost. Despite everything, Sevilla put up a fight worthy of a final. I liked Sevilla's game. I think they will push the top positions in La Liga this year.
this season sevilla is really improving, mendilibar is also very focused on strengthening sevilla's defense it was proven when sevilla faced man city, it was clear that man city was overwhelmed by breaking through sevilla's defense, but what sevilla lacked was their attack line still blunt, nesyri's goal which was created in minutes 25' looks like a coincidence.
hopefully when facing Alaves later, Sevilla can be as good as when they faced Man City, while for Alaves nothing has changed, before that they lost to Cadiz with a score of 1-0 and Cadiz's goal came in quick minutes, big enough Seville's chance to win in the match against Alaves.
848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: August 16, 2023, 11:28:46 PM
Since other teams in Saudi League are still trying to hire more superstar players, Al Ahli doesn't want to lose the race in this market and they are ready to hire Merih Demiral from Atalanta, this player is 25 years old and he plays in the center back. Atalanta accepted the offer from Al Ahli for 18m and Merih Demiral is going to play for three years in this team for a salary of 11m for each season which is a good amount of money for a player like Merih Demiral.
Merih Demiral is going to move to Saudi Arabia soon to do the medical tests and sign the contract with Al Hilal.

Apart from him, there is Roger Ibanez who is ready to be at Al ahli, the transfer of the Arab League transfer this time really shocked the world, it was as if they wanted to move European football to Arabic.

what is also very interesting are the rumors about david de gea to al nassr, currently de gea is in free agent status and reportedly the deadline for the deal or not is mid-september, it seems that de gea will choose al nassr over bayern, the salary offer that will be given by al Nassr is very tempting especially there is a former teammate there when he was at MU.
849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 16, 2023, 11:01:41 PM
~
If Neymar refuses a proposal from an Arab club then there will be no more coming of the same proposal, European clubs are also not much interest except for other leagues besides Europe, in essence Neymar will get big money during a two-year contract, PSG is benefited.

Neymar has already officially moved to Al-Hilal. I won’t be surprised if PSG’s Arab friends are behind this transfer - firstly, PSG got rid of a too expensive football player, and secondly, they not only got rid of him, but even received money for the transfer and thus improved their business in terms of FFP. As for Neymar, it is certainly hard to see the career of the once most promising player decline at the age of 31. I wouldn't be surprised if he completely finished at 33.
it's really good if Neymar moves from PSG because to be honest PSG doesn't really make a profit when Neymar is there instead he always encounters a lot of problems, one of Neymar's bad habits is prolonged injuries, I'm sure he will experience that again there LOL.

al hilal really spent big money this time, apart from Neymar, it is reported that goalkeeper Bounou will soon move to Al Hilal too, after failing to get Messi, it seems that Al Hilal will not stop buying star players, especially those who are starting to fade but still have good performance. well, the saudi league teams is really spending big money on players this time around.
850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: August 15, 2023, 09:38:44 PM
snip

I think this is one of the solutions that they can do in terms of avoiding or reducing the level of addiction in it, but can they put aside their selfish feelings? I think maybe this is quite difficult for those who are used to gambling and they have to force themselves a little to add some other activities to save them from some big losses for the umpteenth time. And I've also said this before, it's necessary to add some other activities in our daily lives so that our brains and minds are a little distracted. If you get used to some of these new habits and you feel that they are very enjoyable, well if you are already in this position then I think it is very likely that you will be able to get out of gambling addiction.
But it's true as you said, everything comes back to each person, if you really want to stop then you will do anything including various ways that allow you to get out of gambling.
because we are here discussing being a responsible gambler, so keeping yourself productive is the best solution to avoid the possibility of becoming a gambling addict, when you have other activities, your focus will be divided into several parts so that when you forget the time while gambling, automatically that activity will become your shield.  doing work-outs, hobbies or doing work is the best way to fill your busy life amidst the influence of gambling, and don't forget to continue to hone your money management skills in gambling, no one passes above that.
851  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When Trading becomes Unfavourable on: August 14, 2023, 06:08:23 PM
There are few factors that leads to unfavourable trading, these factors includes Greed, and chasing a trend, Traders are expected to encounter Challenges during trading and relating these challenges with people's experiences can be the key in solving the challenge,
Sticking to the trading plan is also good to avoid unfavourable trade as changing plans in the middle of a trade Can really lead to a loss in trade.

i hope there are many beginner traders and people who want to start trading reading this topic, how important it is to have a careful plan in trading activities so that the results can be in accordance with expectations, just imagine how wasted your time is if you are not able to make a profit in trading, a careful plan includes, good knowledge of trading, stable emotions and sufficient capital, if you prepare the three things above well then the final result of your trading will be satisfactory, slow down in learning to trade, nothing should be chased.
852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: August 14, 2023, 05:21:55 PM
How the best players from Europe are joining Saudi or other leagues. As such I think the Champions League will not be as competitive as it used to be after a few seasons.
The competitiveness of the Champions League will still exist even though many of the best players from Europe have joined the Saudi Arabian League. Because generations of players will alternate in the Champions League and those who join the Saudi Arabian League but were once great in Europe are also not wrong because the time has come for them to move there while still looking for money before ending their career in football.
that's not true, although there are many star players who go to the Arab League, the prestige and competition in the champions league will always be tight, the average star player who goes to the Arab League is an old star while in the European league, there is always a young talent that emerges, this is what makes the champions league competition will always attract the eyes of the world.  In the UCL this season, there are many big teams that still have great names such as Bayern, Man City, Madrid and others, the competition among the big teams will always be available even if the old star players leave for the Arab league.
853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 14, 2023, 05:05:42 PM
Man United is a good popular team so it is very easy for them to win this match. this is a very common prediction but nothing is guaranteed in the game.  So in this case, you cannot exclude Wolves from the list of possibilities. Wolves may be a weaker team than Man United. However, they are good enough at football to get a chance to play in the Premier League. you cannot ignore them. Sometimes a very bad team can be seen doing good things in the game of football.  Therefore we can only predict the possible outcome of a match but cannot guarantee it
the match between man utd vs wolves is very interesting, mount and onana will prove their performance, and many hope that in this match they will not lose because the match will take place at man utd's home ground, Ten Hag said Mount would be more focused in the center rather than helping the attacking line, hopefully, it will live up to expectations,  Many people think this will be an easy match for man utd but i don't think so, if they underestimate the wolves then they will lose (my prediction of the final score is 2-0 for man utd's victory)
854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin is centralized, will it still have value ? on: August 14, 2023, 09:36:46 AM
Bitcoin value is tied to it's decentralized nature and the principle it was founded. if Bitcoin were to become centralized, it would likely have a significant impact on its value. the decentralized nature of Bitcoin is a key factor in it's value. Bitcoin decentralization have contributed to it scarcity and security. all of this which are factors that influence it's value.

if Bitcoin were to become centralized, it could raise concerns about the control, and the investors might loss confidence in it's ability to remain a reliable store of value and a medium of exchange. centralization could also make it suspicious to government regulation and restrictions, which could further impact on it's value.

in conclusion, Bitcoin value is derived from its decentralized nature, which is closely with it's ideal, and any move towards centralization could fundamentally alter it's core and diminish it's value proposition.
since the beginning of the current value of bitcoin was created due to the trust of buyers and also other parties and when bitcoin turns centralized of course that trust will be lost and people will switch to other crypto assets, apart from the loss of public trust in bitcoin the bad impact if bitcoin is centralized is vulnerability to manipulation, both by the government and influential people who live in this world. in conclusion, even if bitcoin becomes centralized, the price of bitcoin will still exist but the price will definitely be very easy to manipulate.
855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AVAX] Avalanche Speculation - price movement tracking & discussion on: August 14, 2023, 08:13:39 AM
I honestly do not understand purpose of so many evm chains, including Avax. Most of them pop-up because of congestion problem on Ethereum, meanwhile these same chains also get congested when they see bit of activity.
this is the reason, and i took this from an article that discusses the avalanche network;

Quote
The emergence of many new chains, including Avax and many others, has several goals:

Scalability: These chains generally offer the ability to process more transactions in less time, eliminating congestion issues.

Low Fees: With greater capacity, transaction fees can be lower than on a full main network.

New Features: Some new chains add new features, different smart contracts and other technical capabilities that may not be possible to implement on the main network.

it is also explained there that everyone is just trying to imitate the ethereum network and create other alternative networks to avoid congestion on the main network but that will not be very effective because security vulnerabilities will definitely still occur like bugs and others, while for avalanche, some investors believe in the team the developers so they are confident about the future of the avalanche network as well as the avax token.
856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 13, 2023, 08:56:27 PM
Neymar's fitness is not good. He is not fit for the Premier League. He suffered few injuries. But I think Barcelona is suitable for Neymar. Gameplay in La Liga is not as fast as Premier League. Also Barcelona does not play very attacking strategy. So moving to Barcelona would be good for Neymar's career.
After the news that Man Utd would be owned by a new owner, rumors about Neymar buying Man Utd were also increasingly circulating, but i'm sure that was just an issue.  neymar is probably one of the best strikers in the world but he is very often injured, if man utd buys him, he will suffer a lot of injuries especially the EPL is quite hard, while barcelona already has lewandowski, it's hard for neymar to be an option in the first team, at least PSG has to quickly make preparations to move on from 3 expensive attackers and find a replacement for them, especially with the loss of messi, assists for the center striker are noticeably reduced, results 0-0 against lorient is homework that must be done by the PSG coach.
857  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which Crypto exchange is the best for intermediaries Traders and Invesotors. on: August 13, 2023, 08:29:42 PM
When it comes to crypto exchanges, finding the best fit for intermediaries like us is crucial.  Does anyone have any go-to exchanges that have served you well? I've heard some chatter about a few options, but personal experiences and insights are gold.

Would love to hear your thoughts!
@op there have been many good answers above, i'm sure you've got the right answer....binance, kraken, bitfinex and kucoin are pretty good exchange choices for beginners and brokers, the four exchanges above have high liquidity, comfortable UI and UX for beginners, recommended level of security and have good CS response, but it's also important in note that CEX is indeed highly recommended for traders but for investors it is not recommended (for long term investors, keeping it in a personal wallet is highly recommended)
858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: August 13, 2023, 08:02:27 PM
Actually, I'm also not sure the Harry Kane factor can change the state of the game. I just watched this game go on and was very surprised if Bayern Lost 3 goals. I saw Bayern Munich had weak areas and made some mistakes defensively. Corner goals, penalties. Bayern could have excelled in possession, but they failed to score a goal. In addition to Leipzig performing quite well, the Munich midfielder looks uncreative.
what you said is true, the defeat of bayern in the DFL final from leipzig was not kane's fault, he was just a new player who was just trying to adapt to bayern's pattern of play, what should be blamed was the strategy tuchel used, he looked quite underestimating leipzig from the first round and finally bayern got a big surprise because olmo successfully made 3 goals.  Even though Tuchel still uses the 4-2-3-1 formation, if he continues to use the strategy against Leipzig then i'm sure that in their first match against Bremen, they will find it difficult, tuchel's responsibility is very big.
859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 13, 2023, 07:42:38 PM
For now, I feel that Tottenham can actually still create some options in their attack despite the absence of Kane there but there are still some players like Son, Kulusevski, Maddison and Richalrison who can and are still quite good in attack even though the finishing is a little reduced but it can still be forced just looking at some other conditions for the defence it seems a little complicated in my opinion.
Their defence still has many gaps. Brentford's 2 goals came from 11 shots and 8 on target all when Brentford only had 30 per cent possession.

This will clearly be a problem if Tottenham let it continue to drag on because with Brentford opponents alone they are very troubled what if the stronger opponents they face.
harry kane's departure to bayern had a major impact on the sharpness of tottenham's attack line (moreover, Richalison as a center forward is not as good as Harry Kane), this is evident from the 18 shots made by tottenham only 2 were goals, while for their midfield there was still no difference from the previous season, i'm quite surprised why postecoglou didn't improve that.

for newcastle, i really salute their compactness, managing to score 5 goals against aston villa is not easy, now they are leading the EPL, will they be able to maintain their performance!
860  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading good for beginners? on: August 12, 2023, 06:00:44 PM
Someone met me and we were had a conversation on trade and he told me that he has used all he has been saving for trading and asked me if he can make something out of it and I asked him if he had any knowledge about it and he said no.

My question is can someone that doesn't have any knowledge about trading and how the system work can he or she trade and be profitable in it? Since at some points it has some compliments bof luck.
After some time of discussion, he has been told that it's just for them to choose on the candles sticks if it's up the they want to choose or the one going up just with this idea can they trade with such an idea.
so I wan to know if it's right for the person to begin trading?
the problem with starting something is readiness from yourself, if you have a strong intention to start trading then what you need to prepare is mental, money and knowledge (trading basics, reading charts and economics)
i quite often meet people who want to start something but don't want to be complicated with learning (it is impossible for you to go to sleep tonight and waking be a professional trader), without good knowledge, it is difficult to be able to master trading and also have good mentality and emotions in trading.
