841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethercoin | Redeemable 1:1 for ethers | Official Thread on: December 06, 2014, 12:08:14 PM
Just curious ..  Would you mind showing your personal holdings on the ethercoin.cc website too.
The reason being that people would know that you indeed have an even larger reserve that you intend to keep and that your interest in the real ether coin is as much as anyone else who holds the ethercoin that you have  sold.

We won't be posting our personal holdings at this time. But we can consider it for the future.

That would shoot the price up .. Just Saying . Cheesy

you pay now double to three times the price of initial price. And count the rist involved in this anonymous product you have to give trust into, so its beyond good and bad.

Just run away, the best you can do here.
842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AntMiner L1 for sales $5/MH/s ships in December on: December 05, 2014, 05:44:52 PM
Give them until February? are you crazy? if this was the case I would ask for refunds on all my orders

If they cannot deliver before 31 Dec, you should ask for refund as the difficulty will be very high then.

it's just lol to see people thinking and believing that their pre-order will arrive in time. It's like 15th pre-order none of them from companys around the globe arrived in time or with the specifications they promised. No knc with Jupiter, bla, bla spoondellies.

I just think in January we will see some news and a product.

Happy holidays merry Christmas to all

848  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: The difficulty HAS BEEN REDUCED!!!! on: December 04, 2014, 02:28:18 PM
It might be a tiny reduction, but I think that the start of a new era is now becoming more obvius. We kept seing mining becoming more centralised, mining at home kept becoming harder while the difficulty was constanly rising and the price was around 350. I believe that this reduction was caused by home miner being pulled off the wall because of not being profitable anymore.

It's possible that there was a genuine reduction in capacity, but with this small a difficulty change it's also pretty likely that it's just a result of statistical variances and we have no real way of knowing whether the network is expanding or contracting. In a network where there's no actual change in capacity, variances of +/-5% are pretty likely: http://hashingit.com/analysis/28-reach-for-the-ear-defenders

Indeed it is, but mining used to be an arms race. The total network hashrate was constantly increasing for more than a year until this point.

It's still an arms race, but the slowdown in hash rate expansion was predictable (I did predict it :-)) once everyone was running close to state-of-the-art hardware with low supplier margins and energy costs had been reduced as far as possible. Things can still move with a technology shift (such as when 16nm ASICs or more power efficient 28nm/20nm devices come online) or if the BTC price increases though. The hash rate will ultimately absorb every optimisation possible!

Respect to the price, everybody is calling the bottom both for BTC and LTC, so mine, hold and wait for the train to leave the station  Grin

Haha. No. Mining will ne cheaper by factor 5x so the bitcoinprice will fell, before the hashrate unfold 5x. I would not either hold until 2017 halving. Not 100%. Maybe speculate with 5%

Before buying anything, and instead of following advice from referral whores with a vested interest in deceiving you, I recommend you read this:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=878387.0

So I have no referral and would honestly say hashcoins.com has the best offer.

Why? You are not paying more as for knc cloud, because its for one year and the best thing is that you are getting the hardware you got hosted for real shipped to your home. There is no better way to support bitcoins network in my opinion.

And yeah getting rich with mining is long time over.

hashcoins.com have now a cloud too.
854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ISIS to create own coin. How can we convince to use Bitcoin? on: November 18, 2014, 05:28:17 AM
http://www.cnn.com/2014/11/13/world/meast/isis-currency/index.html?hpt=hp_c2

Quote
ISIS is planning to mint its own currency in gold, silver and copper, the group said Thursday.
Its aim is to stay away from the "tyrant's financial system," ISIS said in a statement. It said it would issue another statement to explain the new currency's exchange rate, and where it can be found.

Sounds like they are printing their own kind of FIAT. More scamcoin. I think this is a great opportunity to show them Bitcoin and get some users from the Middle East. The anonymity and low fees are sure to be a turn on. How can we spread the word and help Bitcoin go TO THE MOON!?

I THINK YOU ARE CONFUSED. RETHINK YOUR LIFE. COME BACK.

There might be alot of evil people and tyrans out in the middle east, but the isis state is a completely faschistic organisation using old cultural symbols of a religion comparable to the regime of North Korea. Its using its power to get into space, where fallen tyrans had their playground.

I dont think they are building fibre lines there. Just giving bread and water to people left without structure of a state (infrastructere like canalisation, roads, parks, schools, libraries, civic center, public transport, hospital, insurance, banking etc....), left in chaos.
855  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitcoinCloudServices.com - What do you think? on: November 18, 2014, 03:52:49 AM
1000% scam. pictures stolen from a different site. english fake address. good luck!
856  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Intersting statistics on mining and profitability on: November 10, 2014, 12:27:45 PM
nov 2013 was a very special time to get rich. profitability is now down and difficulty will decrease slightly until next Asics generation coming out middle 2015. Then its again time to reinvest.

857  Economy / Economics / Re: Technological unemployment is (almost) here on: November 09, 2014, 02:21:49 PM
Unemployment is happening, because there are people, which can not be used for work, they can do. Technology is changing all the time. Therefor you have unemployment in the technology sector. There are more and more machines used.

Normally you can produce more different products with better machines.

Normally you can produce cheaper products with better machines.

Why should it be now different as in the last 200 years. Because you are saying?

No.

858  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Cointerra AIRE Miner 16nm PreOrder on: November 06, 2014, 07:12:47 AM
Yeah. this forum is not known for big thinker.

Anyway. I will try. Dont make a pre-order. There were maybe one or two cases of pre-orders for mining hardware, which was profitable. The mining forum is full of stories, with companies didnt or delivered not to promised date.

STAY AWAY OF FUNDING PRE SALE MINING OPERATIONS. JUST THINK, ANY INVESTOR WOULD GIVE THEM ENOUGH MONEY IF IT WOULD BE A GOOD DEAL, BUT SO THEY NEED YOU TO FINANCE THEIR OPERATION.
859  Economy / Economics / Re: why do people agree to pay taxes? on: November 03, 2014, 12:20:43 PM
Paying taxes is very important otherwise all the service can not be paid, which are used by public, so they should be run and own by public.

The state should take as much as the commerce is doing fine and people can afford their all day spending. That money should be used wisely, but sometimes its not, but as long we see paved streets and public transportation and social care its well done. Unfortunately state is going into debts and the public have to pay interests for that. That should be forbidden or made up with higher taxetion. IMO
860  Economy / Securities / Re: WARNING Cryptostocks.com INVESTORS SECURITY FLAW on: November 01, 2014, 07:39:58 PM

CS is USA based? Its management is in China, so SEC has nothing to say, whatever they are doing. On the platform there are still up to ten good projects running.
